Wonderful place! We were a group of five and had plenty of space. Nice location with a 5 min walk to restaurants, pubs etc. Also easy access to the bus that took us to the University. 16Fishergate has everything you need. It really lived up to our expectations. We would love to come back!

This was a wonderful place to stay. It was spotlessly clean, cosy, and incredibly comfortable. It felt like a home away from home. The space was perfect for our family, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy our time together. The showers were especially amazing: strong water pressure, modern fixtures, and plenty of hot water, a treat after a long day out. We appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the property; everything was well maintained. I highly recommend it for a peaceful, family-friendly stay!

Lovely apartment overlooking the bar walls. Was very clean and warm and we couldn't have wished for a better base after a busy day exploring the City of York. Hosts very responsive. We highly recommend York Boutique Lets as a company to book with.

We absolutely loved this property. It had the absolute WOW factor. Location was brilliant, walking distance to everything, closer than you think to the city centre. Lovely welcoming pub next door. Ideal place to stay for a family or couples.

The house was easy to find, opposite part of the walls. We were able to leave our bags early so we could explore the city.
The house had everything we needed for a weekend away (a few more mugs would have been useful). Comfortable beds and lovely showers.

We had a family wedding in the city and needed a comfy base. This property didn’t disappoint, beautifully appointed apartment, clean, fresh and a great size.
The only slight downside (for us) is the bed in the master bedroom was so hard we actually struggled to sleep, but personal preference aside, it was a lovely property.
Beware unloading/loading luggage is a hair raising task, lots of traffic between two busy junctions, you do need your wits about you!

The York Boutique is a charming 2 floor house/apartment situated directly above a Salon situated minutes walk from the city centre and main tourist attractions in York including the Castle Museum, Jorvik viking centre and the Barbican theatre. The property is very well presented and has excellent facilities throughout including 2x showers, modern kitchen appliances, TVs in all the living spaces as well as a washing machine and dryer. The property is also conveniently situated next to several pubs and restaurants. The only downside is there is no parking, so probably better suited for those travelling by rail than by car. All in all, we had a lovely stay there and would recommend.

We had a most enjoyable stay at the townhouse. It’s very well equipped, with a good supply of tea, coffee, sugar and a few extra essential provisions. The bottle of Prosecco and crisps were most welcome too. The day we arrived it was cold and raining quite heavily, but the house soon warmed us all up once the boiler and heating were turned on and we all felt very cosy and at home. The beds were very comfortable and the showers good and powerful. It’s only a short walk to all the shops, restaurants, pubs and tourist attractions and particularly close to Clifford’s Tower and Castle Museum. Access to the city wall walk is just across the road. We were concerned about being situated on a busy dual carriageway, but the traffic noise wasn’t a problem, particularly for the guests staying in the bedrooms on the first floor. No complaints at all, but we were a little disappointed the Blu-Ray player that’s available couldn’t be used, as there’s no HDMI cable connection to the tv. We were hoping to watch films in the evening via a USB stick, which would fit into the player, but obviously we weren’t able to do so as there was no connection. Because the tv is fitted flush to the wall, there was also no way of plugging the stick into the USB socket at the back of the tv. Also, the extractor fan in the upper suite toilet has been fitted in backwards, so blows air in rather than sucking it out. A recycling bin would be very useful too, as a large proportion of our rubbish was recyclable and therefore ended up going to landfill. Just a few small things to consider for future guests, but all in all we had a really lovely stay and would definitely book again

I stayed at Fishergate apartment/townhouse for 3 nights in January with my mum (80) and my 2 young kids. The apartment is on a busy main road but noise was not an issue (and I'm a light sleeper). The outside and entranceway is a bit off-putting but once inside, the apartment is really lovely. Very well renovated - a high standard throughout. We had a very minor issue of a few lights not working, and York Boutique Lets sorted it straight away. The apartment was very clean, lovely comfortable beds and plenty of pillows, soft towels, quality bedding etc. The kitchen has a Nespresso machine (the type that uses the small pods) and some pods are provided, as well as instant coffee and tea. There was also a bottle of prosecco for us in the fridge which was a lovely touch! There are two large showers (no bath) and both are lovely warm and powerful.
The apartment is over 3 levels. The ground floor is just the entranceway and cloakroom. On the first floor there is the kitchen, lounge, 2 bedrooms (which adjoin) and a shower room. On the second floor is the master suite, which is very luxurious. The stairs up to the second floor are quite steep, which is worth bearing in mind. We had originally planned for my mum to have the master suite but she didn't feel confident on the stairs.
The apartment has some lovely original features, high ceilings and sash windows. The heating is very effective and we were able to keep lovely and warm despite the cold weather outside.
A few doors down is The Mason Arms. We ate here twice and it was lovely, proper pub food.

We had a wonderful stay - the location was great - just a few steps from the center of the city and next door to a lovely pub. The setup is really nice as well because there's a more private bedroom and bathroom upstairs. And since the apartment is on the second and third floor of the building, you hardly hear the cars outside at all. Host was very responsive and helpful as well.

The house was so lovely, on a main road but this did not bother us. Parking just round the corner. City centre literally a few minutes walk away. With a view of the bar walls at your doorstep, this property was a truly amazing find!! We wouldn't stay anwhere else again. The property was decorated to perfection and was spotless, you can see a lot of care goes into the place! The beds were soo comfortabe and provided a great night sleep! The location was excellent. Loved the location, a 10 minute walk to some excellent shops, attractions, cafés and restaurants. Shop till you drop, stop for coffee and pastries and start again. The attractions were plentiful, the Minster, Dungeons, Yorvik Centre etc all easy to locate then back to the apartment to change and walk to some superb eating places, Indian, Italian and English, they were all so good .The beds were really comfortable. The furnishings were well chosen and it was very clean throughout. It has a beautiful bay window looking out onto York City Wall, and it's a great spot to watch the world go by.

Brilliant location, thoughtfully decorated, clean and a fantastic size. This was a real gem of an air b n b in the centre of York. Super lovely space for a family of 5. Brilliant Indian restaurant three doors up. Parked round the corner in public car park after unloading, all very easy.

Loved the location, a 10 minute walk to some excellent shops, attractions, cafés and restaurants. Shop till you drop, stop for coffee and pastries and start again. The attractions were plentiful, the Minster, Dungeons, Yorvik Centre etc all easy to locate then back to the apartment to change and walk to some superb eating places, Indian, Italian and English, they were all so good.

Great accommodation, beautifully furnished and decorated. It had everything you could want for a city break. Short walk to the center of York with plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes on the way to the heart of the city. Thanks for a fab few days stay.

Exemplary hosts! Excellent communication, spotless accommodation, elegantly furnished. Only a short walk into the town centre, the Minster and in addition, such easy access to walk on the City Walls (which gives such a lovely and historical perspective of the city). The Masons Arms next door provides a warm welcome, a cosy environment with an open fire and excellent fish and chips. Nothing about this stay could be faulted - we very much hope to return one day and in the meantime, would suggest that prospective guests need look no further! You have a "real find" here!

Fishergate was perfect for our weekend away. We parked the car in the Q car park (2 minutes walk) and never needed it again. 2 minutes walk to the centre of town meant we could come and go as we pleased.
The apartment was spotless, the beds really comfy and the bottle of bubbly left for us was a really nice touch and very much appreciated.
I would happily recommend this place to anyone.

We had a really nice time here in York. The location was excellent, really close to the city centre. Parking was not provided but it was really cheap down the road at Mecca Bingo Car Park. The apartment was absolutely spotless throughout. It had everything we needed. The host was extremely quick and responsive and very friendly. Couldn't fault this apartment from the start to finish of our stay.

WE were very happy with this apartment, it is so spacious and clean. We loved the location of it because it is less than 5 minutes walk into the city centre. There is free wifi and parking which is a great touch. We have nothing at all to complain about, even the staff were friendly and so helpful. Amazing service all round

Brilliant house for a group visit/ family. Very clean and cosy. Plenty of bedding and towels. Nice touch of a little welcome gift. Only recommendation is there needs to be a stair gate for the top of the stairs coming up from the front door. Also there were no mirrors in either downstairs bedroom

We stayed here for a hen weekend in York. The property was clean and comfortable, it had a fantastic living space and a really well equipped kitchen. Beds were very comfortable. The location was brilliant for a short walk into the town centre along the river. When booking we had asked for two of the beds to be separated but on arrival this hadn’t been done. I rang the booking agent and they sent someone out straight away to sort it out and it was done by the time we had carried all our luggage from the car. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Wow, this is the most stunning holiday home we have visited in England. We love to come to self catering as we prefer them to hotels but this one is the best we have visited. The photos show the apartment for exactly what it is! Sometimes photos can be misleading! the living area and the top bathroom was our favourite, so beautiful! The house was immaculately clean, detailed welcome folder in the house with some great recommendations. Easy to follow arrival details. Friendly host at the other end of the phone. Late checkout option was handy! Only downfall was no parking but there is a Barbican qpark a few minutes walk away so it would not put me off booking again!! Brilliant stay!

What a perfect stay we have had! The Fishergate Luxury townhouse was the nicest holiday home we have stayed in yet. Really good experience from start to finish! Really easy check in process with instructions and directions sent before you arrive. The house is in a lovely location, just a 5 minute walk to Clifford's tower and the city centre. No parking is provided but there is a Qpark literally a 5 minute walk away so it didn't bother us. Inside the house was exactly as the photos showed, absolutely beautiful. The ensuite bathroom was my favourite!! Immaculately clean too. Host was really quick at responding and friendly on all contact.

Due to Covid restrictions we had to book a self contained place to stay, we had already booked our parking at the Q Barbican so this place was really near.

Above a hairdresser on quite a busy main road with a pub 2 doors down. A lovely spacious apartment on 2 floors. Up the stairs you have 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen and living room. All the rooms are really nicely done out and very clean.
We used the room with the rear bay window which overlooked the pub beer garden, there was a little noise but it’s difficult to stay in a city and totally avoid it.
The front living room does have traffic noise but the bedrooms are all on the rear.
Great TV in the living room which has hdmi cables if needed.
Up another floor is a bedroom with en-suite, we didn’t use this room as the stairs are a little tight and after a couple of drinks it might be difficult! Another lovely room though.
We would definitely stay again.

I cannot believe how close we were for the price that we payed, over the road to a Wetherspoons, a small walk to a Tesco for supplies inside the house, and a 10-15 minute walk to York shambles!! Could not fault this property, excellently decorated which makes for an even more luxurious stay.
