This was a birthday gift for my 30th for my Husband and I, beautiful, comfortable, but also quite pricey. We only stayed two nights, with no added extras; couldn't get in until 4pm on the Tuesday, so by the time we'd got unpacked and set, it was already and half later! Had the full day Wednesday, but had to be out by 10am Thuraday morning. So for over £600, yes the pool table, hot tub, the lodge itself, all beautiful, but I felt it was alot of money for pretty much a late afternoon/evening, and one full day.
But all in all, we had a lovely time, it was beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay ❤️

We had a wonderful stay here. The location was surreal, the accommodation was very comfortable and it had everything we could have possibly needed. It was also spotlessly clean, which made a great first impression. The hosts were brilliant and always easy to communicate with. Highly recommended!

Me and my husband had a 2 night stay in the lodge and it was perfect. Everything you could need is provided. The hot tub, pool table, darts and outdoor cinema were great. The lodge itself is high spec and lovely decor with home touches. We drove to York the first night for food (20ish minute drive) and ordered Indian in second night which was absolutely beautiful. Overall we had a perfect time here and already coming back with the full family in October.

I booked the lodge for my partners birthday and we had a lovely stay. The lodge was fabulous, had great facilities (especially the hot tub, pool table, dart board and outdoor cinema) and had everything you could need for a weekend stay. The bed was really comfortable and the shower in the room was lovely, there was also a bath which was fabulous however we didn’t use it. The lodge backed onto a lake which was also lovely as we were able to feed the ducks and watch the fountain which was very relaxing. Thank you !
We were able to order on uber eats which is a little tip for those who don’t want to venture out and stay in for the weekend. The location also was great for travelling into York which we did after check out on the Sunday.
Unfortunately when we arrived there were flies in all the rooms which was a shame. I understand this cannot always be helped with the warm weather and lake, however there could be some measures added to prevent this.
We also never received our deposit back which is a real shame as there was no reason why we shouldn’t have. And if there was a reason they found we would’ve liked to have known why.

Holly tree lodge definitely has the wow factor! We stayed for 4 nights and wish we had booked longer. It is really modern and clean, had everything we needed and more. Bed was so comfy, amazing bath and walk in shower. We loved the pool table and dart board, hot tub was amazing which looked over a lake with a beautiful water fountain. Also loved the little ducks which were around often. Great location with Skipwith common a few minutes drive away, a lovely woodland walk with wildlife and cows.
We will certainly be returning, highly recommended. Thanks for having us, a perfect break away to celebrate a birthday.

We absolutely loved our stay at Holly Tree Lodge. The views from the lodge are breathtaking so if you're after somewhere to unwind, this place is a MUST. We were made aware that the other lodges on site have undergone renovations and they are truly beautiful from the pictures I found online. Whilst Holly hasn't yet had its renovation done, I was still super impressed with this place. Exceptionally clean, well kept and so comfortable inside. The hot tub is definitely the star of the show and pulls the whole experience together. I have come home feeling so relaxed, if not a little deflated as I would LOVE to still be there right now, sipping cocktails by the stunning lakes. We truly had to most amazing stay and will definitely be reccomending to all our friends and family. Thank you for such a wonderful stay, we will be back!

he place was perfect. The layout of the cottage is really good & the big double doors that open the bedroom to the main area gives a great open feel. The electric fireplace was beautiful so this has all 3 things we wanted for our romantic getaway being a lovely big bath tub, an outdoor jacuzzi & a fireplace.

The kitchen was beautiful & very well equipped. Just note that you need to bring ALL cooking items as there is no oil & only salt & pepper. Some of the knives need sharpening but this is a minute complaint. The units are well isolated from each other so you have complete privacy with a lovely view of the little lake / pond.

We have been coming to Oakwood lodges for 15 years. It has changed hands a couple of times. But to go to the same place for all them years about says it all

The lodges are carefully thought out and luxury touches
Very peaceful and always use the hot tub just relaxing
Good few pubs 5 mins drive. York 20 mins.
We will be booking for next December. Not sure about the "new" lodges as they seem to be alot more money
Would highly recommend for a very relaxing time

This little lodge had everything we needed. It was very cosy and homely and very clean throughout. The hot tub and the lake view was perfect and the setting is so peaceful, just what we needed. From looking at the other lodges on the website here, they are been renovated and they look outstanding, we cannot wait to return to Holly Tree lodge again next year once it has had its refurb! Could not complain about our stay, from start to finish it was seamless. Thanks for having us!

We had a great time here. John the 'hot tub guy' was very friendly and went out of his way for us.
Lovely modern lodge.
We will definately be back!!
Some small recommendations would be sweeping brush etc as we do like to clean before we go.
Also unable to access any other tv apps such as netflix etc. Followed instructions but there was no option for it. Unsure if tvs may need updating.
But on the whole fantastic stay!

Beautiful scenery & tranquil lake setting, very peaceful & relaxing. Not far from local shopping outlets & York city centre. Would definitely return. Small annoyances, ours was one not yet refurbished & would definitely benefit from canopy over hot tub & refresh of decor. Cobwebs on ceiling, clock that needed new battery & cracked toilet seat let the lodge down & it could definitely benefit from either ceiling fan or fans during hotter weather. Loved little touches such as tea/coffee bags, washing up liquid & even fly/wasp spray which came in handy. Lovely restful location.
