Very enjoyable stay. Loved the outside area and were blessed with nice weather. Hot Tub fantastic. Not too far from park and ride for a couple of trips into York. Also we had a nicewalk along the Selby canal.
Only small criticism is would be great for a hook on back of bedroom doors especially with not having a dressing table or chair. Cleaning could have been better. The outside area had cobwebs and leaves which I understand you can’t keep on top on all of the time but would do best you could before arrival. Found cobwebs on bathroom wall in shower!

Also some work going on park workmen next door from 9 with radio on loud.

Entrance could be tidied up with some flowers on the old reception building

Overall lovely stay and hope to be back sometime. Thanks

We were informed prior to our stay that work was being undertaken on the site. We were not informed that on arrival we would find workmen on the property next door running an extension cable from our lodge. As a party of females only and using the hot tub we felt uncomfortable when they encroached on our property to remove the cable. We could not fault their politeness, they did ask if they could come and remove it amd this is in no way a review on the men themselves, but we feel it is unacceptable and should have been avoided. Communication between owners and workmen should be better so that it does not affect guest stays. They left about 1-1.5hrs after our arrival.

Otherwise the lodge was perfect, it was secluded with privacy from other lodges. Attention to detail for the decorating and the outside areas was better than we have experienced elsewhere. Would definitely consider booking again.

We enjoyed our stay at the mulberry lodge, the place is very clean and tidy. However, some lodgers don’t adhere to not playing songs loud after 10 pm and all the beds in both rooms make so much noise .Overall,it was a nice one and we’ll be returning, but definitely a different cabin with better bed.

Myself, my partner, and two friends stayed at the Mulberry Lodge for 2 nights. It was absolutely beautiful, clean, and in a quiet relaxing location. The outside area is wonderful with a pool table, darts board, seating area, and hot tub where we spent lots of our time! The checking in and checking out process was contactless and super simple. We would definitely like to return here in the future but adding on another night as we weren’t ready to leave!

Had a great stay at mulberry lodge, beautiful accommodation in a lovely quiet area, everything was spotlessly clean.
Welcome book was well packed with food locations and bits and bobs to do locally.
My only grievance was some of the appliances weren’t working, outdoor fridge and bbq grill which was annoying as we had been and purchase stuff for outdoor cooking, did email them as stated in welcome book monitored til 9pm daily, response within the hour, it’s now been 48 hours and still haven’t had a reply, the light in the bedroom also flashed like a disco ball so was totally unusable.
As annoying as these little blips were i would stay here again, it’s a lovely well maintained site.

Arrived for a 3 night break and had an amazing time, loved the hot tub and the added bonus of the pool table and dart board. This was our 2nd time staying at the park, stayed in Rosewood lodge last time. We will be booking again as I feel this is our return to destination when we need some well deserved R & R. If you are looking for somewhere to escape from everything then this is the place.

Mulberry lodge was everything we imagined it to be, we had such a great time away, days were broken up playing pool & darts and relaxed in the hot tub In between.
The lodge is immaculate & could smell how clean it was from opening the door. Little touches everywhere you look from cushions to pictures & floral effects over the hot tub, really sets the lodges apart from other places! Can’t wait to return!

This is our second stay at Oakwood Lodges. Smooth transaction from booking to check in and check out. All information provided prior to check in including a telephone call which I found helpful. Lodges are all unique in their own styles. Lodge was clean and everything provided from away from home. Very comfortable. We took the children this time and they loved the hot tub, game of pool and darts, we were all kept entertained.

We had a lovely stay at the Mulberry lodge during Valentine’s weekend. Upon arrival the romantic package was set up and my girlfriend absolutely loved it, and made a lovely start to the weekend after a long journey on the motorway.

Throughout the weekend we used all amenities especially the dart board and hot tub. The location over the pond was to die for and we even spotted a kingfisher.

The lodge itself had everything we needed to cook for ourselves and store all the food and drinks.

10/10 would recommend and already planning to come back again.

Me and my Fiance really enjoyed our stay here, however there were a few things to consider which I feel others should be aware of when booking. It was an amazing location and the scenery and land around the lodge was spectacular! Only 15 minutes from the York Designer Outlet and about a 30 minute drive into York City Centre so really a great location! The place also felt luxurious and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you would need to cook should you wish for to do so. However, a few things we noticed and experienced were that when we first arrived there was still some opened food in the cupboards from the previous guests (opened crisps and sauces) which then had us second guessing whether the place had been turned over for us or cleaned properly. Secondly, one of the pillow cases was completely ripped (again just taking away the cleanliness and luxurious feel away from it). But with this being said I emailed on the morning and this was rectified immediately! In the middle of our stay we were then asked if we had broken a pool cue as it wasn’t broken before we arrived and the person who leaf blows had found it. However, with it being November and quite chilly we hadn’t had chance to go out there and use the pool table and instead chose to use the hot-tub. I expressed that we had been in till 3pm the day someone was meant to have come to leaf blow the outside area, however we did not hear anybody in this time. I was then informed it was the owner who had found the broken pool cue and had removed it. It felt as though these things had been missed by the cleaning/ turnaround team but then we were being blamed for damage. I was just mithering then untill we got the security deposit back as it genuinely wasn’t us. Anyway we did receive our security deposit back but I feel that exchange could have been avoided if the turnaround/cleaning team or whoever is responsible for it, had done their checks properly before hand.
Additionally, we fully appreciate there is no gas on site so hot water is from a cylinder. The issue we had was that there wasn’t enough time or water for both me and my partner to have a hot shower and once you’d ran out it was a 40 minute wait for it to heat up again. I know this is out of anyone’s control as it’s limited with not having gas but it just didn’t feel worth the price we paid for the weekend when weighing everything else up. Me and my fiance still had a great time wondering around York and its market eating lots of food! York is a beautiful place.

We had a lovely time, the lodge was great with everything you need. The outside games room area maybe could do with updating a bit. The darts where all snapped and the pool table was wonky beeing leveled off with a beer mat. The hot tub was amazing looking over the pond. We would definitely come back.
