We travelled as as a party of 4, 2 mums with kids for 3 nights during half term. The property was ideally located for walking to all the York sights - and we easily walked to and from the train station with a wheelie bag.
The apartment felt really secure and had every amenity you’d need for cooking should you wish to. Loads of restaurants within walking distance. Great value for money and perfect for putting the kids to bed and being able to sit and chill with a glass of wine. Great communication with the hosts, have already recommended York Boutique Lets to friends.

We had a lovely break staying at Abbots Chambers. The flat was delightful and very comfortable. It was so central which made it very easy to get around the centre of the city and we would use it again next time in York.

Excellent property within 2/3 minutes of Monkbar. Very comfortable with 2 bedrooms- 1 with an en-suite and the other close to a family bathroom. Ideal for a family or 2 couples.
The joining instructions are a little confusing as it talks about going through the left hand door and turning left down the corridor and there is only 1 door and you turn right to flat 2. Fine when you know how.
Our only issue was that the water was cold on the second morning which meant only 2 out of the 4 of us could shower.
That would not stop us returning as everything else was perfect.
Special thanks to Yorks Boutique Let’s for arranging very reasonable, close parking at the last minute as our train was cancelled.

We really enjoyed our 4 nights in the Abbots Chambers.Lovely flat - very comfortable, and perfect location. We loved being able to cross the street to enter the supermarket parking lot - how convenient is that? A short walk took us into the old town with its many restaurants and sights, and the Minster was right there. We will return to York for a longer stay - provided it can be in the Abbots Chambers!

First, this was a lovely, well eqipped flat in an absolutely fabulous location. It needed some attention, however. More than a few bulbs were out. The cook fan and light did not function. One of the bathroom fans/heaters did not work nor did the heated towel rack. The freezer was completely frosted over.
A note--be sure to bring your own soap, shampoo, etc.
If the above were fixed, the place would have been perfect.

Directions to the property were very clear and the property itself was clean and well- equipped. Its central location was ideal for exploring York but did mean that some traffic noise was inevitable although not overly intrusive. The double bed in the second bedroom was a tight fit and the property would be better suited to a "sleeps three" with a single bed in this room. The only slight niggles during our stay were that the key to unlock the door from the hall into the flat was very stiff and stubborn to use, also that we picked up a parking ticket whilst parking in the nearby Monk Bar public car park, despite having pre-purchased a permit to park here for the length of our stay. This was dealt with promptly by York Boutique Lettings and the cost refunded to us.

We had a lovely few days. Exactly like photographs and was well equipped. Extremely convenient to York city. Parked car and didn’t return until we left. Beds were extremely comfortable and clean.

This place immediately feels like home. So comfortable, spacious, and conveniently located. Access to everything you need is just a short walk away. I loved walking to York Minster and the Shambles. Grocery shopping was so easy because there’s a nice-sized Sainsbury’s directly behind it. It was about an 18 minute walk from the train station too, so not bad at all. I definitely hope to come back here.

Very spacious ground floor apartment with a fully equipt kitchen and very comfortable furnature, we were very happy with the location of the property as it is located just a 5 minute walk away from the city centre of york.The hosts were very helpful and friendly when chatting to us about the property and it was left spotlessly clean for us which was a great thing.

This is a very nice property in an extremely convenient location just outside the City walls. Lots of bars, restaurants and main shops all within a 5-15min walk. The living area and main bedroom are spacious, the second bedroom is a little small - OK for one person but it could do with more storage or at least some hooks and and drawer or shelves in the cupboard. Great facilities in the kitchen including washing machine / dryer / dishwasher and all the stuff you need provided already. Heating / water etc all worked well. There was a bit of traffic noise in the morning as it is close to the main road but apart from that it is a quiet location with no noisy bars or crowds to disturb you, and while we were staying we couldnt hear any noise from neighbouring properties. Access is easy - even though it is double yellow lines outside it's a wide area and you can safely park up for however long you need to unload without any problems. The car park is about 5 min walk away, and there is a big sainsbury opposite for supplies. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely think of using it again if we come back.

Instructions on how to work the electric hobs and dishwasher should be provided. Also basic information on night storage heaters (and their disadvantages in terms of heat regulation) would be welcomed. The wall heater in the small bedroom would not work and consequently the bedroom was very cold. Apart from these, the apartment was very comfortable and in a good location.

We were very pleased with our stay at Abbotts Chambers. The location was great, the facilities in the apartment were spot on. The whole property was lovely and clean. We would thoroughly recommend the property.
Just one BUT, the master bedroom did not shut completely and the handle was off the in the second bedroom so this could not be shut. The handle to the second bedroom was on the table in the hall.
