Another wonderful stay at this delightful location. The cottage was, as ever, beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and very well furnished and equipped. We were also supplied with a superb welcome hamper. Christmas decorations added a lovely festive touch. This is a haven of peace and tranquility with superb hosts who go the extra mile to ensure their guests are comfortable and can enjoy their stay to the full. It's always difficult to find new words to use in these reviews as we've stayed at Wharton Lodge so many times over the years but the fact that we keep returning sums up our feeling...more
Christmas would not be the same if we could not enjoy it in such comfort with such wonderful hosts in such a glorious setting. Wharton Lodge is the ideal place to enjoy a break throughout the year and is within easy reach of the shopping centres of Ross, Hereford and Gloucester.
Our 5th stay at Wharton Lodge in Grosvenor. Nicky, George and their team are so very welcoming. Every little detail is thought of and nothing is too much trouble. The very generous welcome pack, fresh flowers, quality appliances, the most comfortable bed and superb shower all contributed to a wonderful stay. Extremely dog friendly with dog bowls and towels provided (although we brought our own) Beautiful gardens - even in December and the wonderful paddock which really is doggie heaven. Location is great with short trips out to Ross on Wye, Symonds Yat and Forest of Dean. Slightly further...more
