The location can’t be beaten. Very well equipped, comfortable cottage, suitable for family and friends right next to the harbour and Bamaluz beach. The tide comes right up to below the house. Spectacular views. Very relaxing as you look away from the bustle of St Ives across the sea.

We had the most amazing week staying at sea view place the most beautiful home with what must be one of the best views in St Ives. We booked for special occasion as we were renewing our wedding vows and it was the perfect spot it was so nice we have already booked for next year.

Only one thing i would mention is the checkout time 9am is very early especially having a baby with us 10 or 11am would be much more reasonable especially when you cant check into 4pm. other than that i would recommend this accommodation to anyone..

We’ve been coming to St.Ives for the past 9 years. This property has been the best we’ve stayed in by far, we’ve booked again for next year. We are a four generation family and we all enjoyed our stay. The view from the back of the house is amazing, one afternoon we had a pod of dolphins visit the bay.



Perfect for our holiday group in just anbout every way.

A lovely property in a fantastic location. A peaceful area, but just a few steps away from the beaches, harbour, cafes and restaurants.

The property was immaculate and extremely comfortable, with everything you could need.
The sea view from the living room is absolutely stunning and makes this property extra special.

We had a fantastic stay with the added benefit of the property being pet friendly and overlooking ‘dog’ beach. We will definitely be returning and have created some wonderful family memories here.

5 sea view place is a lovely property in a gorgeous location. It was very well appointed and comfortable. The only exception is the sofas which weren’t comfortable and could probably do with a refresh!!
We would certainly stay again.

The property had a stunning view and a great location. Had everything we needed and was ideal for the dogs as the dog beach was just below the property. Couldn’t fault anything so will hopefully be back again.

5 Seaview Place was wonderful! Confortable, stylish, well equipped and stunning views. The bathrooms were spectacular, beds comfy and kitchen was superbly equipped.

Beautiful views from all floors and dog friendly to boot. The underfloor heating gave a very cosy feel to the downstairs.

We discovered this gem two years ago when renting the small cottage opposite. It is the perfect place to not only spend time observing the constantly changing seascape with its wonderful palette of blues and greys but to enjoy a daily swim in the sea from the small beach just below the house. No matter the weather the walks that take you around the four different beaches that St Ives has to offer bring you back to enjoy the view of the changing tides from both the kitchen and the lounge above. The downstairs wetroom is perfectly positioned for your return from the sea after an invigorating swim.

5 Sea View Place is a beautiful accommodation to stay in. With a view of the sea, seals and dolphins which is unbelievable and on one of our visits we were lucky enough to see a whale . We have visited this accommodation for 3 consecutive years and we are going back again next year. It is an amazing place to stay and is perfect for all our needs, especially as it is dog friendly. The decor inside the house is amazing and full of character. We had a fabulous time at 5 Sea View Place.

I have been visiting St Ives for over 20 years.
This house has views over Bamaluz beach that take your breath away.
We just opened the bifolds and listened to the ocean.
I have never been so relaxed.
Can’t wait to go back in the summer.
Bedrooms appliances and location are unrivalled. Just fabulous.

This was our 2nd stay here. The owner has fitted the property out beautifully and the view is amazing. It is a short walk to the beach and a short walk into town. Even when St Ives is busy - the property is quiet and peaceful. You can watch the dolphins and seals.from the comfort of the living room. The kitchen has pretty much everything you could need. The welcome pack is a nice touch. All in all - we had a great time and are already looking at next year's diary for a return to this lovely accommodation.

The property itself is well equiped (mostly to a very high standard) close to the harbour and the island with Bamaluz beach directly below the house. The view from four of the rooms is stunning, the sunrisea always spectacular!

5 Seaview place could not have been better . Our stay here was excellent. The property was of very high spec and equipped for our every need . Superb property in a fantastic location right on the beach
Cherished cottage staff very professional, friendly and easy to deal with
The ground floor wet room was perfect for coming back from the beach as was the hose outside to remove all the sand first
Very peaceful location yet step out the front door and everything on your doorstep in minutes

We’ve stayed in St Ives a few times now and Bamazlaz Beach is our favourite beach as our dog obviously loved it. As we’d been on the beach many times we thought it would be nice to stay right in front of Bamazlaz.

It’s a cracking view of the sea whatever the weather.

The accommodation was good, set over 4 floors. Kitchen and wet room on ground, living room and bedroom on first floor, 2 bedrooms and a shower on floor 3 and the main bedroom with bathroom on floor 4. The shower on floor 3 was out of use on our stay but believe this will be rectified soon.

The walk to the Island car park was a couple of minutes and as it was March we had no issues finding a parking spot, just bear that in mind if booking high season as parking can be a mare.

For those who can’t escape the internet, speed was not too bad. BT tv/freeview, though in fairness you won’t be spending much time watching the tele.

All in all we had a great weeks stay, enjoying the aspects of the home and the sights and sounds of St Ives and the wonderful people/dogs we had the pleasure of meeting.

The location of this property cannot be beaten, the property is modern, clean and has fantastic views. The property is three stories so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues. Cherished cottages were absolutely fantastic and I would not hesitate to book through them again.

Stayed here for a week in August. The accommodation and location were both fantastic, providing everything we needed and more!

Another perfect holiday is this wonderful house. We’ve been going to St Ives for the past 18 years and this is one of the best value for money houses we’ve stopped in. Second year here and still pinch ourselves to remind us how lucky we are to call it home for our holidays. Fantastic location, great views over the beach and a very spacious house, decorated to a high standard. We booked this stay in 2019 for 2020 - long before Covid was heard about. Obviously we couldn't go in 2020 and 2021 was put off due to the G8 meeting so finally we made it this year. It was worth the wait - it is the most fantastic holiday let and worth every penny. The view from the back of the house is phenomenal and the short walk to the beach is an added bonus. We came down by train from Cumbria as you don't need a car in St Ives (you wouldn't want one anyway) and the house is a short walk away from all the facilities you could need. Every room was a delight but the sitting room is extraordinary. We had one meal out (wife's birthday) but the rest of the time we ate in as you could not better the view from the front room while you were eating. We rarely used the TV and we got used to the sound of the waves very quickly. This was a long overdue break and we were delighted with the property - it exceeded our expectations and would not hesitate to recommend it. We will be back.

It is in a beautiful location and really enjoyed our stay there.
We do find the sofas a bit low and uncomfortable and some of the beds not very comfortable. Also needs a bit more equipment in the kitchen as we do not like eating out every night, otherwise we love it.

Overall a pleasant stay but the following things were issues for us:
The code to the key safe had been changed, and we had not been told. Hence we were stuck outside the property for half an hour;
The recommended car park (The Island) was completely rammed, so we (eventually) found space at the Trenwith Car Park adjacent to the Leisure Centre. This was on the other side of St Ives, and it meant either a good half hour's walk or a local bus ride to get there;
We were unable to locate the Household Appliance folder during our stay, which meant we struggled to operate various kitchen appliances;
Couldn't get the TV to work despite very attempts.

We had an amazing holiday, cottage was perfect. Amazing views, plenty of room, all mod cons and it gives us all the chance to get in plenty of steps.

As soon as you open the front door of 5 Sea View Place, and look straight through the hallway and into the kitchen, the first thing you see is the beautiful blue sea which is absolutely breathtaking. A stunning house that has had so much investment and thought, including all the attention to detail, artwork and appliances.
This is the best property we have stayed in, with the BEST views. Opening the bifold doors and just being able to hear the sea from the sofa was so relaxing.
All the beds were really comfortable, and the bedding and towels really are good quality and the level of cleanliness was fantastic.
There is everything you need in this property and more. A very luxurious and amazing property.
My only upset is, the owners are no longer taking booking for long weekends, or we would definitely be back again without question.

We have been spending March in St Ives for many years renting different cottages to escape the snow which often hits the High Peak in Derbyshire at this time of year. We always enjoy the area and have stayed in some lovely properties but with out doubt 5 Sea View Place is the best we have stayed in. The location is second to none and the house is beautifully presented and ideal for a stay with friends or with family. Very well equipped and very comfortable. The team at Cherished Cottages looked after us very well and even handled the premature end of our stay due to the COVID19 restrictions in a sensible and professional manner.
We have already made our next booking for this property and look forward to returning to St Ives once this awful virus is beaten.

Excellent position, views exceptional.
Got into the long stay carpark which is only a short walk away.
1 or 2 seals always popping their heads up in the bay at the back of the house.
The family saw many more seals around the other bays round the island.
Lovely long walk around the coast and up and back round over the hills.

This house is fantastic, with stunning views out over Balmaluz beach and beyond, we had the privilege of seeing a pod of dolphins and a seal during our short stay.
Loved the layout of the property over the 4 floors, a great feature was the wet room just as you enter the front door, this will come into its own during warmer stays when our teenage children can come strait from the beach in wetsuits.
The kitchen was well equipped with an ocean view as has the 2nd floor lounge with its bi-folding doors, the twin bunk room and the master Bedroom . The whole house is decorated to a high standard and was impeccably clean.
This house will be my No1 stay when returning to St Ives i have already re booked 2 more times this year .
All in all a beautiful house, breath taking views in a wonderful location.... perfect.

I booked Sea View Place because of its amazing location right on Bamaluz beach and it didn't disappoint. We were woken each morning by stunning sunrises and sea views. Perfect for my short break and my dog loved looking out of the window too. Perfectly located for access to all St Ives has to offer, gorgeous comfy beds and stylish furniture. Showers were amazing and a well equipped kitchen for a family stay...I will be back.

We've been to 5 Sea View Place twice so we knew just what to expect for our visit last week. Despite this, when you walk through the front door, the view takes your breath away. From the secret Bamaluz Beach, twenty feet directly below the house, across the bay to Godrevy Lighthouse, simply stunning. In the midst of a gale (we had a couple!) waves crashing over rocks, spray against the windows and all from the comfort of the living room.
The house itself is well appointed, 4 bedrooms and 3 beautifully equipped bathrooms, ideal for a winter break, warm and inviting.
All this and our favourite beach cafe at Porthgwidden less than a five minute walk away - we don't think there's a better package on offer in St Ives and with the multitude of properties on offer, this says everything!

One of the best views i have ever seen in 57 years on this earth, open the by folding doors in the lounge and you have a panoramic view of the sea, the beach is directly below you.
The colours are unbelievable, we saw two lots of dolphins, diving flocks of birds and seals nearly every day.
You will sit in the lounge with a drink, you don’t need to go anywhere.
Don’t forget to take a set of binoculars.
The master bedroom has stunning views as does the bunk room.
Lovely house, downstairs wet room- could not fault our stay, will be going back.

FANTASTIC Location and Property. A few let downs, which I placed on the comments card before leaving.
e.g.
For heavens sake where are the drawers. I felt like I was living in a tip all week and the rooms just did not look tidy due to all the stuff being on top of things. Sent me into over-drive this did as I like a tidy house.
Top bedroom - please do something about the rectangle curtains - the sun comes up here and the brightness is terrible
Bunk room - pillows should be on the other side so you can see the view, which is afterall what this place is about. So you need to move the lights and shelf to opposite sides.
Double room - why is there no bedside light?
Lounge - please say for anyone wanting Prime TV or Netflix, scroll to Apps on the BT topbox - we just couldn't find this. Curtains could also be denser as you could not see the cricket on the England final with the sun coming in (husbands comment, not mine)
Single room - No door coat hook and no place to hang anything. Everything had to be left on the computer desk.
Kitchen - All great with no comments, everything was there

Overall a fantastic place and if you got drawers I would definitely go again, but without the drawers it is a no go for me in future as I simply do not want to keep walking into my bedroom and feel like it is a laundry. I felt out of sorts all week due to this.
