our family returned to Mill Meadow for a New Years break in this stunning, tranquil environment. we had s fabulous time together with 2 young children and 2 dogs. we did experience a problem with hot water but both Suzanne and Chris gave us super service and between both parties managed to overcome the problem! My five friends had never stayed at Mill Meadow before. They were blown away with the quality of the accommodation, its tranquil location, despite being 8 minutes from Taunton centre, glorious walks and a superb local pub. Not one complaint we had beautiful sunshine and thoroughly enjoyed our quality time together. Many thanks yet again the wellbeing bucket is full.
Our family of four spent a wonderful three months at Cuckoo Lodge after moving to the U.K. and while looking for a home. Being there made the move so much less stressful. The surroundings are calm, quiet, and very scenic. We enjoyed seeing the trees in their autumn colours and then the transition to winter with the Christmas lights - it was very festive. Goldcrest Lodge was just perfect, warm, cosy, and with everything we needed. With very good kitchen, and large shower room. Just right for our visit to my Mum in Taunton. The covered porch was just right for stepping outside, with chairs and a table. We had to cancel our originally booking, due to illness, so we were very pleased to be able to move the dates to the following week, all sorted without any fuss…and we were very grateful to Suzanne who organised everything. What a delight to find a Finnish log cabin in the heart of the Somerset countryside. Cosy and warm inside thanks to underfloor heating and a log fire, with a welcome supply of firewood that was replenished any time we asked for more. Everything we needed was in the kitchen and the fishing lake was just a few steps away. Cold and a bit grey but the fish were biting! And thank you Chris for that welcome bottle of local apple juice and the delicious home made flapjacks.
If you want a place to get away and relax, this could be the place for you. A well maintained and extremely clean and inviting space to stay. If you're looking for a place to take the kids or for activities this may not be the space for you. There are no play areas! This would suit couples, there is even a hot tub, although a canopy would make this all-weather usable. Our 3rd visit to Mill Meadow and it does not disappoint! Spent a great New Year with friends and family, relaxing in the hot tub and enjoying the picturesque, peaceful location. The trees with twinkling lights and a Christmas tree in each lodge added to the festive atmosphere. The friendly owners keep everything spotless. We will be back.
We had an amazing stay in Robins Lodge. Everything thing was spotless and the kitchen had everything that we needed. Chris and the team were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them.
