We cannot praise this Lodge and the setting enough, absolutely beautiful! We stayed there with our grown up daughter, son & daughter in law and their dog to celebrate my 65th Birthday. Suzanne did everything to help make it a special occasion and put up a Birthday banner, left a 65th Birthday card and a vase of beautiful mixed daffodils, as well as wine and Somerset Apple juice in the fridge and Chris made his home made flapjacks. What an absolute gem! Upon arrival we was so pleasantly surprised to find homemade flapjacks, fresh juices and tea coffee sugar and milk all supplied for us . There was a throw blanket and towel for the dogs and some complimentary doggy treats :) everything was so well presented and the lodge was immaculate. We had the most wonderful relaxing time and caught 8 carp and 1 tench over the 3 nights that we stayed :) the location is tucked away making it feel like your in the middle of no where but local amenities are only a stone throw away . Honestly, we had a wonderful week at the Goldcrest lodge. Secure, private, super clean and all the nice little touches to make you feel right at home. Homemade Flap jacks, fresh milk and fruit juice for your arrival, everything you need is available. The place is a tranquil piece of paradise. Fishing lake and scenery is bliss. Jacuzzi was wonderful and all the staff and so friendly and full of local information. We will definitely be back and recommend this holiday. Mill Meadow was absolutely wonderful, lovely lodge ,well equipped ,perfect setting and close to Taunton for a family day out/shopping and eating out.
First impressions lovely looking lodge but I struggled getting my partner in in his wheelchair didnt park on the gravel in the right place. Fairly wheelchair friendly downstairs but our main issue was that the seating in the living room was too low n he sat in that all the time which was not great for him hence we cut our stay short. Lodge was not totally accessible. But those in charge were lovely n helpful.
This lodge was outstanding, very well equipped, a hot tub ,bbq ,dog friendly and plenty of outside space to sit and relax with ample parking. The residential park was clean, quiet and had lots of countryside walks and a fishing lake .It was a perfect setting for a relaxing stay but close enough to Taunton for family days out, food shopping, eating out and amenities
