We have stayed at Mill Meadow many times over the last decade. Suzanne and Chris are consistently excellent hosts. The accommodation is always spotless and well maintained. We will be back!

Yet again what a fantastic stay . 10 of us stayed in what can only be described as pure comfort and relaxation . The beautiful surroundings and quietness of the area is only rivaled by the comfort and cleanliness of the lodge . We are an aging family but will return as many times as our health will allow and maybe introduce our younger members to our perfect little hideaway .

We stayed for 4 nights over the weekend of our son's wedding nearby. He and his 3 children joined us on the wedding morning to get ready for the big event and my brother and neiece and their spouses also stayed with us. The lodge was spacious, well appointed and a really lovely place to stay, and Mill Meadow is so tranquil. Everything about it was perfect! I can highly recommend Mill Meadow.

I had a fantastic stay at Robins Lodge. This is my second time staying at the lodge and Suzanne was so communicative and helpful prior to the stay and during she checked if we needed anything. The lodge is absolutely stunning and was the perfect setting for my birthday. Suzanne very kindly added a bottle of bubble, bunting and a card. A can’t recommend Mill Meadow enough! My family stayed here during the time I got married in late May. This Cabin was perfect for my family of 8 people to stay over for 4 nights. Amazing setting with some lovely nature around. There are some great walks into the countryside from the venue. Could not recommend this place enough. Suzanne and the staff are so friendly and were very helpful with the booking, arrival and departure.

We have had an amazing holiday at Mill Meadow with family and friends. We stayed at Robins which is one of the bigger lodges that will sleep up to 10 people so ideal for larger groups. Suzanne and Chris are so welcoming from the minute you arrive and we thoroughly enjoyed Chris’s home-made flapjacks. There were lots of little touches from the fresh flowers to the apple juice which makes it very special! The lodge was exceptionally clean and comfortable, lovely and warm throughout the house, very well equipped kitchen with everything you could wish for. We particularly enjoyed sitting outside on the decking which is at the back overlooking the lake which is stunning with its wildlife. There were moorhens, ducks even pheasants that have made it their home. We were even privileged to see a Kingfisher one day diving into the lake which was amazing! There is ample outdoor seating with a large barbecue which we enjoyed during our stay. The lodge is disable friendly and as a wheelchair user myself was able to unload my chair from the car straight onto the decking and into the lodge. The bathroom downstairs is a huge space with wet room, a good height toilet and folding grab rail by the toilet. The beds were super comfy, so quiet at night time so we slept really soundly, there was even an owl hooting nearby! The ground floor is all open-plan so great if you use a wheelchair, 4 sofas to relax on or watching TV which was a Sony smart TV enabling you to stream Netflix, etc. The whole site itself is beautiful and feels very safe and secluded. You can walk up to the woods with the “spinney” or in my case, I was able to use the Tramper which is for the use of any guests who are “less able” which was fantastic as I could enjoy being with my family. The Swan pub in the village is a very traditional country pub and serves great food. There is plenty to see and do in this area, we particularly enjoyed the Somerset Steam Railway, we visited Hestercombe House and Fyne Court where you can also hire a Tramper. There are many walks on the Quantock Hills. You are not far from the beaches at Kilve, Blue Anchor and particularly enjoyed Watchet near Minehead which is very quaint with its harbour and many cafes. Taunton is close by which made popping in for food or general shopping very convenient, a lot of good restaurants and take-aways, some of which will deliver. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and can’t wait to return very soon.

We are a group of 7 school friends and we have stayed in Woodpecker lodge for the last 2 years as an annual get together. Woodpecker sleeps 6 but we have been able to use the sofa bed for an additional cost to make sure there was room for us all. We were contacted by Suzanne who told us that Woodpecker was unavailable for the dates we had booked and so they wanted to upgrade us for free to Robins lodge (this sleeps 8). It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The bigger hot tub and view from the balcony over the lake were big hits with the group. The 10:30pm quiet time was observed by all guests, even though we knew there were a couple of big celebrating party on site. Such a wholesome weekend with lovely walk, a trip to the Swan for Sunday lunch and lots of lazy mornings. Suzanne couldn’t do enough for us, and even came to visit us on Monday once she was back from her holiday to make sure all was well with our stay. We are yet to find a fault with Mill Meadow Lodges and we already can’t wait to return next year.

Lovely location, very peaceful. Staff very friendly and helpful. Reasonably well equipped kitchen, sofas a bit tired and not very comfortable, down stairs bathroom tiles in need of a referb. Overall a very pleasant stay and would return for another break.

This is the 2nd time visiting Mill Meadows we are a group of 7 friends, we previously stayed at House Martins. We will definitely be returning, the lodges are amazing, well equipped, exceptionally clean and in a fantastic setting with the added bonus of a hot tub.
On both occasions we visited at the beginning of December and the owners had taken the trouble to put up a Christmas tree which made it very festive and cosy.

Suzanne, Chris and Helen are very helpful and make the process of booking stress free. Thank you so much see you next year!

Had a lovely few days at Robin's Lodge. Chris , Suzanne and Helen were really friendly, helpful and did their upmost to make our stay more enjoyable. Holidaying with two families and teenagers, it can be hard to please everyone, but the fishing lake, hot tub and surrounding areas made it a destination we would be happy to return to.
Visiting Kilve Beach is a must for some awesome fossil hunting!
Would highly recommend Mill Meadow for families or groups of friends.

Robins Lodge was the perfect place for birthday celebrations, such a beautiful lodge in a lovely location.

Lodge was very clean and was well equipped with all the necessary kitchen utensils. We enjoyed a lovely home cooked roast on the Sunday.

Susanne was a lovely host, super friendly and thoughtful. Stanley (5 year old) was super happy with his pumpkin. The prosecco and sweet treats was a lovely touch. Thank you.

Really enjoyed our stay & were given plenty of support from staff while we found out how everything worked etc. The lodge was really beautiful & comfortable, with all 7 of us fitting in comfortably. Hot tub & BBQ perfect for our evening ‘at home’ & location great for exploring the Quantocks region too. Great value for money & loved the way the estate was built around a lake….. & place I went to sit & watch the carp when in need of some peaceful ‘me’ time. Highly recommended.

Mill Meadows is welcoming from the minute you arrive. The lodges are very spacious which is perfect for families and the hot tub was great for total relaxation. A unique aspect was fishing from outside the lodge which was a big hit. There is also lots to do in the area. Chris and Suzanne ensured everything went well and we would all happily go again!

We stayed at Robins Lodge for a weekend to celebrate my sisters 40th birthday. On arrival the hosts had put up a birthday banner and left gifts to make it extra special. The lodge is cosy with plenty of space for everyone, there were 10 in our party with ages ranging from 3 - 70 yrs and everyone had a great time. The location and surroundings are beautiful, the bird song, trees and hot tub create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, we all had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend! Thank you to our hosts who were attentive and informative before, during and after our stay. I highly recommend staying at Mill Meadow.

A really lovely place in a quiet & peaceful area. Plenty of space for all the family to chill out and have a nice relaxing weekend break. Not too far from Taunton to stock up and do a bit of shopping with plenty of supermarkets and pubs. The owners were very helpful and friendly too. We’ll definitely return again soon.

Only one tiny criticism would be to install railings around the decking areas for safety reasons because it’s quiet dark in the evening and one of our dogs managed to fall off it during our stay; thankfully without any injuries.

Had a lovely few days away but the sofa bed was very uncomfortable so actually ended up sleeping on the sofa. Very well equipped and spacious. Would definitely return but not bring so many of us so nobody would have to sleep on the sofa bed.

Stayed at Robins Lodge for my 31st which was meant to be for my 30th last year but due to covid, it had to be moved and Chris and Suzanne were more than accommodating of this. The whole complex is very secluded and private and our lodge was stunning and very clean. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen was equipped with every appliance and down to stuff you could even bake a cake with! Very clear instructions on what to do with recycling, how to check out and places to see and do were given. Chris and Suzanne were also a delight to meet. Will definitely recommend to anyone wanting a lovely weekend away and will be coming back in the future for sure!

6 of us stayed in Robins Lodge, it is a spacious 4 bedroom, 3 bathrooms lodge. The kitchen appliances were dated and we struggled to get the oven to work and the dishwasher was broken, but we were told this would be fixed for future guests. Lots of equipment in the kitchen but you need to bring own washing up liquid and tea towel. The hot tub was old and tired and needed to be refurbished.
The lodge is really comfortable, plenty of sofas and chairs.
The location is great for walking, the Ship Inn in the village is great for Sunday Lunch!
This is our second visit and we would definitely come back.

We took over the majority of Mill Meadow for our wedding at Hestercombe. The lodges were absolutely fantastic and completely added to our wedding, they are stunning. The service from Chris and Suzanne was well above and beyond what we expected, communication was spot on, they made sure everything was set up for our prep on the morning, drove the bride in their restored beetle (even in the rain), put up 'just married' bunting on our lodge, and were just generally brilliant! Highly, highly recommend if you're getting married or just fancy a stay somewhere lovely!

Would highly recommend Robin's Lodge.......two families sharing, so 9 of us plus two dogs.
Lodge very well equipped in the kitchen and hot tub was a great addition outside.
Customer Service superb throughout and the owners very friendly and helpful.
Great location for a walk to the pub, whether it be for a cuppa and skittles in the daytime or an evening meal. Pub also highly recommended!

This was meant to be a quick break in October of last year but it had to be moved twice which they were very accommodating to do. Once we got there, it was a beautiful lodge, very clean and almost all equipment you could need. The internet was not the best and may have struggled with more people trying to use it at the same time however, it was a nice excuse to switch off.

Perfect for a family get together the lodge was well equipped and comfy in a stunning location. The lodge has a great sheltered outside space for bbqs which worked well as we were luckily enough to have a very sunny weekend! Loved the hot tub. Very helpful & friendly team on hand should you need them.

We really enjoyed our stay in the spacious and well equipped Robins Lodge, and the warm welcome from Chris and Suzanne. The beds were very comfortable and everything was spotless, with thorough Covid precautions in place. We appreciated the welcome goodies but a pint of milk would be a simple yet beneficial addition. We were disappointed not to be able to use the hot tub on the first evening, due to it not being up to temperature after the water change. We would prioritise ensuring it is available to use from each guest's arrival time - after all, this is the main reason we chose Mill Meadow.

We hired robins lodge for a family get together over a long weekend and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The lodges are carefully planned so that they are not overlooked and are spacious and clean. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything that you could need.
We had a fantastic weekend walling in the local area. We went to the beach, solved an escape room, took a party taxi into Taunton for dinner, walked to the local pub, did yoga on the balcony and enjoyed long chats in the hot tub. We were made very welcome by the property managers who checked up with us regularly to make sure everything was ok. I would highly recommend robins lodge for a stay and we will be back next year.

Mill Meadow is very professionally run by friendly hosts.
The location and cabin were spotless and beautiful I couldn't fault a thing, we wished we had stayed for longer.
The cabin was luxurious and very well equipped and we needn't have brought any kitchen utensils with us.
We didn't use the provided BBQ but made plenty of use of the hot tub which everyone enjoyed.
As we were doing a long weekend and wanted to tour the local coastline we wished we had had more family time at the cabin.
And thank you for the chocolates!

This was my second visit to Mill Meadow and my family & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, once again. We stayed in a different lodge this time, but it was equally as lovely, well equipped and really comfortable. The location is great, for seeing the best Somerset has to offer Stunning views and glimpses of wildlife, even the Kingfisher made an appearance, on the lake. Chris & Susanne are lovely, welcoming hosts, always on hand. Can't wait to visit again, soon.

The lodge is beautiful, set within a peaceful secluded setting, over looking a beautiful lake. Large open plan downstairs, 4 great size bedrooms and 3 very large bathrooms. Such a great space for groups or family’s but there was 4 of us & we felt at home. We had a large hot tub to relax in at the end of our day exploring Somerset. It’s the small things that make a great stay at Mill Meadow at their lodges - on arrival we had wine waiting, biscuits, teas & coffees are available. There is always an someone available while you stay to answer any questions. The lodge is very clean which is important to us. The reason we stay at Mill Meadow every year is because it’s such a relaxing break for everyone, we can all unwind as a family and spend some quality time together. You couldn’t go anywhere else and find such a stunning clean lodge over looking a beautiful lake which has tons of fish in, if you enjoy fishing. There is a summerhouse over looking the lake to read a book in. Whether your a family who like space or a large group - I’d recommend Robin’s lodge for a great holiday.

Fantastic place to get away from busy life. Loads to do and yet lots of space to do absolutely nothing too. We took teenagers who found something to do outdoors everyday.
You’re so well looked after if you need help and left to your own space if that’s what you want.
Can’t fault the place and the team who run it.

We spent 6 days at Mill Meadow having made a last minute decision to book a UK holiday with children and grandchildren. We were delighted with the accommodation - plenty of space for 4 children to run around, and well equipped with everything we could need. The setting beside the lake was lovely, very safe for young children and relaxing for adults. The hot tub was particularly popular with everyone. The family who run Mill Meadow were very attentive ensuring we had all we needed and gave us local information which was helpful in organising trips.They seem to have made very careful changes to their operation in light of the Covid pandemic which ensure the safety of guests and staff without spoiling the enjoyment. I would highly recommend Mill Meadow and would definitely consider staying there again.

The lodges are all beautiful and there are lovely friendly people. It's such a very relaxing place to be with a fab fishing lake and plenty of walks. We loved it.

This was our third visit to Mill Meadow but our first time in Robins Lodge. Loved the lodge, had a beautiful view of the lake. We also visited the local private pool which we would recommend.

We came to mill meadow for a family weekend away to celebrate Christmas early. We found the lodge easily and could check in earlier than expected.
The lodge was beautiful and so clean and organised! It had everything we needed.
The rooms were spacious and the beds all so comfy.
We enjoyed the hot tub it was kept clean all weekend it was a great added bonus!
We bought along our two spaniels who were very happy in and around the lodge.
We went for some walks in the local area but spent a lot of time in the lodge as it was so comfortable and homely.
We hope to make it a yearly tradition coming to Mill meadow and feel we’ve found a true gem which we will be recommending to friends and family!

We all had a lovely time in the peaceful rural location of Mill Meadow. Chris, Suzanne and Helen were most welcoming and approachable. Robins Lodge is very spacious but cosy. We had everything in the lodge necessary to make it a great holiday. The hot tub was enjoyed by all and I was pleased that it was checked regularly to make sure it was safe to use. I would thoroughly recommend Mill Meadow as a great place to stay.

We have stayed at mill meadow for several years now and each time have never been disappointed with our stay. Every lodge we’ve stayed in has been fantastic!
Perfectly equipped for all your holiday needs!
The location is perfect for Taunton but you would never know how close you are !
It is set in beautiful peaceful countryside
Suzanne and Chris are excellent hosts and always friendly and keen to ensure you have the perfect stay.
Our last stay was our 5th time staying and I’m sure it won’t be the last!, and a great time had by all!!

We absolutely loved staying in Robins Lodge for our wedding at Hestercombe Gardens. The lodges are so gorgeous and spacious, it meant we could stay with the bridal party with my family in another lodge close by.

We loved the design of the lodges , and the balcony overlooking the lake is so calming.

Mill Meadows were also incredibly thoughtful, leaving bubbly for me and my fiancé on arrival and again on the wedding night with ‘just married’ bunting hung up on the outside of the lodge for us to find on our return.

We also enjoyed the BBQ and Hot Tub. I’d fully recommend starting marrying life in a hot tub.

I'll be honest and say that I can't normally be faffed with writing reviews, but our stay at Mill Meadow warrants one! We were a party of 8 + 1 dog and we stayed at Robins Lodge for a long weekend for my sister's hen party. The lodge was beautiful, well kept and spotlessly clean and all of the sorts of stuff that you need for a long weekend was provided. The booking process is properly organised from start to finish - Mill Meadow keep in touch throughout and replied quickly to any questions/queries. They were on hand throughout the weekend to help with things like the hot tub and BBQ, but weren't at all intrusive. We will definitely be going back - hopefully soon!

Arrived to be greeted by a gorgeous cake, just what was needed after a long journey. Not our first time at Robins but as exiting and new as ever. No hot tub as some bees were in residence they were protected so untouchable, saved us having to refuse . Lovely week and all the staff were grand. no problem too big to solve immediately

This lodge has a large social kitchen/ dining/ sitting room which was great for a big family get-together. Very clean and well equipped. Helen and Chris were friendly and helpful. Very dog friendly and Great dog walks from our front door and helpful information in the 'folder'. The lake is pretty and relaxing. Robyn's lodge would be fully accessible with flat access and wet room downstairs. We had a comfortable, happy stay in this area with a great pub - the Swan- in walking distance and would return.

We had a wonderful stay at Robins Lodge for a hen do. After struggling for quite some time to find somewhere that would accommodate a hen do including a dog it was very refreshing to speak to such a welcoming place!

The accommodation was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The hot tub was amazing too. The surroundings were pretty and peaceful.

All of our party hope to return again in the future.

This was our first time at Mill Meadow. We stayed with friends at Robins Lodge and found the accommodation very clean, cosy and relaxing. Helen was there to greet us on arrival and show us around the lodge. There was plenty of room for all 8 of us and 3 dogs! She even left a lemon drizzle cake which was yummy!

The boys all enjoyed the fishing lake behind the lodge. There was plenty of fish to keep them busy. Thank you to Joe for all his help.

Had a lovely week. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing family holiday.

Welcomed by the lovely Helen, our two families (and our dogs) had a wonderful time. The lodge was warm and comfortable, spotlessly clean. Plenty of room to have private space and yet sometimes as many as 3 cooks in the gorgeous kitchen. A large lounge and dining table enabled us to spend quality time together with ease.
The hot-tub just sealed it...we are sure to return!

Great place to stay would definitely recommend to anyone.

We were a party of ten girls on a surprise 50th birthday.
There was plenty of room for for all of us to relax and enjoy.
The kitchen very well equipped with everything you need.
I personally could not find fault Robins Lodge it was beautiful.

What a fantastic stay we had at Robin's Lodge! 10 of us stayed for a hen weekend with plenty of room. Very high standards of cleanliness and great service from Helen to allow us to check in early then have to wait for me to arrive after getting stuck in traffic! 10 min journey into Taunton. Appeared to be plenty to do in surrounding area although it wasn't quite the purpose of our weekend! Highly recommend!!

Overall the stay was great. The communication when booking was excellent they would always respond very quickly. Very clean and great size.

The whole booking process does seem a bit strict with limited options for number of nights and cancellations needing everyone’s names and car Rego before arrival compared to other places.

For the price (which is not cheap) that is being charged it also seems a bit unnecessary that items like the BBQ/ spa are additional costs.

We stayed in Robins Lodge to celebrate my father in laws 80th birthday. The lodge had everything we needed beds very comfortable, tub was at temperature when we arrived. Helen house keeper came to meet us and went through things. Before we arrived we had emails to see if we needed anything extra. We all enjoyed our weekend and hope to visit again soon . We had a great weekend at mill meadows. The staff were fantastic. They put up a just married sign for us gave us fresh flowers and gave my niece a birthday card. These little details made it even nicer to stay they. They were really good to us. Letting us bring in our photographer and hairdresser on the wedding day.

I couldn't speak more highly of the arrangements, staff attention and desire to help us make our occasion special. It was a perfect setting and venue for a family wedding held at Hestercombe Gardens a short hop away from Mill Meadows. It felt very rural and yet was close to amenities in Taunton and within striking distance of the Quantock Hills, Exmoor and the North Devon Coast.

Suzanne and Chris even arranged the most perfect weather for us!!

Had a week long break at Robins Lodge for 9 of us. Plenty of room inside the lodge and also plenty of parking. Really clean and tidy and the perfect place for us all to stay. It's the second time we have been to Mill Meadow and we can't recommend it enough. Went fishing this year and caught some lovely fish.

Taking others to a place you love can be awkward, but I knew that going to Mill Meadow would be the success it was. Everything was perfect and helped us rest and play. The dog had been welcomed and also enjoyed all the smells of the country.

Our stay at Mill Meadow was as part of a friends wedding celebrations whose family were also staying on the site. The Lodge and every part of our stay was perfect, a real treat to have such luxurious accommodation for a few days with all the comforts of home. We stayed at Mill Meadow for my daughters Hen Do. Because there were thirteen of us we also had another lodge for sleeping only. We decided to have Robin for sleeping and Cuckoo was the Lodge for all the congregating and hired the Hot Tub and a BBQ also. Mill Meadows is a very relaxed space and cannot praise it or the management team enough. Everyone was friendly including the other occupants and I just cannot promote more than I have done so already. Amazing lodges, amazing team, amazing area. Well done to all in creating this perfect environment - we will definately be back.

We have now stayed at Millmeadow six times in four different lodges and we love them all.
Millmeadow is a place that we want to keep coming back to. The lodges are fantastic, with all you need.
The welcome and hospitality is first class. Having stayed and visited six times we still are finding new places to visit and different walks.
We are looking forward to booking our next break, for the two of us or with friends. Being able to bring our dog is a real bonus.

We had a most enjoyable stay at Mill Meadows over Feb half term with our young children and family dog. A big thank you to Helen, who greeted us on arrival and made us feel welcome. Wonderful tips on what was on offer in the area - (the playground just around the corner was a great find)! Mill Meadows is a development of luxury lodge style dwellings around a small lake. Set at the foot of the Quantock Hills, makes for an ideal base for exploring the area. Accommodation gets 5 out 5 as the beds and sofas were incredibly comfortable (sleep quality was excellent) and the lodge was well appointed. We will definitely recommend this to our friends. Places to visit:The Pines Cafe was great for a spot of tea. Monkton Elm Garden Centre with it's two restaurants, shops and fun playground. Highly recommend: A visit to Dunster Village and Castle a must! Afternoon tea within the Castle grounds at the Dunster Lock Tea Rooms. A few yards from here is the Dunster Packhorse Playground. Taunton - Vivary Park.Great stay and already planning our next stay.

We really enjoyed our stay in Robins Lodge at Mill Meadow. It provided the perfect opportunity to unwind and relax with friends.
The lodge was spacious and comfortable - and we all slept VERY well!
Our housekeeper, Helen, was very welcoming and friendly - and we really appreciated all of the extra touches (particularly the homemade flapjacks and delicious apple juice).

Amazing! Recently got home following my 30th birthday, we hired Robins Lodge and Flycatcher Lodge. First of all the communication I received from Helen and Suzanne was great - no question too silly and no problem too much! And Secondly my welcome from Helen on the arrival date so so warm and welcoming! I basically made her skip with me to the lodges I was so excited, she ensured I had all her contact information and made me feel at home! Suzanne paid me a visit to congratulate me and ensure my stay was perfect. The lodges were so clean, and fully equipped with everything you need! We booked because it was near to Hestercombe gardens where our daughter was getting married both families booked lodges, and although it was recommended and looked good on the website my expections were not high because of previous dissapointments. On arrival we were greeted with flowers and home baked flapjacks, Susan could not do enough for us. It was an amazing time for both families made more so by the wonderful lodge and the setting, it was so tranquil. The standard of the lodges exceeded any that we have stayed in before. We are looking forward to returning in the near future.

We stayed in Robins Lodge with a group of family members for our daughter's wedding. The lodge was beautiful, comfortable and perfectly suited for a group of 7. Chris and Suzanne were fantastic hosts. Mill meadow is so peaceful and relaxing. Beds were super comfortable. The hot tub was amazing. We found the welcome binder to be very helpful - we took several of the walks and the train ride mentioned in the binder and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Had a fantastic time and would love to return.

We had a fantastic break at Mill Meadows. It is in a really tranquil, leafy spot but is only a five minute drive from Taunton. The hot tub is a must and well worth the extra £90. The house itself is light, airy and very clean. we would definitely stay again.

We had a very pleasant weekend stay to celebrate my cousins birthday. Although under construction you would not have realised this as it was being managed very well and had no affect on our stay. The site is very picturesque had a very nice two or three hours fishing on the lake, plenty of small fish.
If I had a small gripe it was it could get very warm very quickly in the lodges. I have recommended the site and will continue to do so.
I will keep an eye on the website to see if some smaller lodges ever become available.

From start to finish we had an amazing stay! Attention to detail was key, with homemade flapjacks awaiting us after our long journey! Travelling late on a Friday afternoon we arrived rather late but Suzanne still came to greet us and check we were all settled in ok! We stayed in 2 lodges both high quails and a lovely relaxing feel! Sitting on a balcony with a cup of tea over looking the lake with nothing but birds chirping was a real highlight!

Our second visit to Mill Meadow in Robins Lodge. Only 4 adults and a scottie dog so plenty of room for all of us. We all had a wonderful weekend. Its location is great and not far from Taunton centre. We visited Hestercombe House. Great place to walk the dog and you can take your dog in the cafe. This was our second time back as a group of friends and again we can't fault it! We absolutely love it here. The cabins are clean and well furnished with everything you would need for a stay for a few days or a month. Beautifully crafted and a very high quality finish all round.
The views are great, the walks around the area are wonderful. This place does nothing wrong.
We had an asda and tesco delivery, it was so easy.
Perfect place for a romantic getaway or a big weekend of family fun!

The welcome started when Suzanne, knowing we were tied to ferry times from the Isle of Wight, emailed us to say that she would be there to welcome us whatever time we arrived in the area-and what a welcome. Local produce and home made flapjacks were waiting for us. Any concerns we might have had about the warmth of a wooden lodge in February were put to rest as we opened the door. A box of toys for the grandchildren was a thoughtful touch as were the gifts and flowers brought round on Valentines day. Everything was of a very high standard from furnishings to cleanliness and customer care. It was a well organised visitor experience with hot tub maintenance and bird feeder top ups noticed but delivered unobtrusively. The lodge held an extensive range of local information that provided a framework for a fabulous family holiday.

Lovely friendly couple who run this place and nothing is too much trouble. Lots of little extras like homemade flapjacks on arrival and birthday cards and wine for a special occasion. Very clean lodge with everything you could need for a lovely relaxing stay. Easy to book and plenty of communication to keep you knowing exactly what is going on with your booking etc. This is the second time I've been and stayed in 2 different lodges both were perfect and a great time was had by all who went. Can't wait to return just wish I could spend every weekend there. :-)

We had a fantastic four day stay at Mill Meadows. The lodge is very comfortable and well equipped. The windows look out over the lake on one side, and over trees on the other, if the weather had been kinder, the balconies would be a great place to sit. The children loved the fact that we had three bathrooms, and that the internet coped with all of us using it!!! The beds and sofas were all really comfy, and you had everything you could need provided in the kitchen. All in all, a great place to stay.

We stayed in Robins Lodge (Mon 31st August - Fri 4 September 2015). We booked last minute and got a good deal. Our family consisted of 4 adults and one scottie dog Ruby. It was lovely to stay in good quality accommodation which was pet friendly.

Robins lodge was a welcome break very close to Taunton yet felt like you were in the country. We also visited Watchet and Street.

Suzanne was very welcoming and showed us around the lodge. It is of an excellent standard. Equipped with everything you need. Would definitely recommend it and hope to return again.

Fabulous accommodation in a wonderful, relaxing setting by the side of a well stocked lake. Peaceful retreat for families, groups or couples. Superb lodge with all mod cons and more. Spotlessly clean. Hosts were charming and extremely welcoming and helpful. Cannot wait to return here. Warning: a stay here is highly likely to leave you feeling totally relaxed and fully recharged!!

This was our 3rd visit to Millmeadow since April 2014 as we rate the place so much. We previously stayed at Flycatchers and Housemartins.

Robins Lodge was outstanding in all respects with our hosts, Chris and Suzanne, as attentive as ever. Any minor problems were dealt with promptly by the owners.

We only had five staying but the accommodation could easily manage a much larger family with plenty of room to spare. The weather let us down but there was still lots to see and do. If you have not visited Clifton it is certainly worth the time just to view the suspension bridge and there are pubs, restaurants and cafes a plenty.

Kingston St Mary is such a beautiful and tranquil setting whilst only a short distance from the bustling market town of Taunton. We highly recommend a stay at Robins Lodge and Millmeadow. See you Next Year!

This place is an incredible way to get away from the city life. The lodges themselves are beautifully designed and are extremely clean and well kept. They are located a short drive away from Taunton (5-10mins) which has all the local amenities you need including a huge Sainsbury's. We did not explore the area around the lodge too much but instead visited the beach at Minehead, Exmoor National Park and Cheddar Gorge which were all about 45 minutes drive away. We could have driven to Putsburough beach which was recommended to us by staff at Millmeadow but it was about an hour away and we preferred to minimise driving time. The best place we visited was Cheddar Gorge. The only recommendation I have is to take insect repellent or the horse flies will eat you alive!! We would highly recommend this place and look forward to returning!

This is now our 3rd stay at Mill Meadow but our first time in Robins Lodge. As with Cuckoo the level of luxury is excellent and adds to a great location. The whole experience is both relaxing and fun.

Our family stayed in several lodges for the wedding of our daughter, Robins lodge was absolutely fantastic for this. Everything we could wish for was there. The Banner just married and the bottle of champagne was a delightful thought.

We visited for our 3rd time with friends. This is defiantly the place to come and relax. There is plenty to do and see and the accomadation is fantastic. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. We are fussy, believe us, we cannot wait to return, it is so good.

This was our 4th visit to Mill Meadow - the location, amenities and lodge itself never fail to disappoint! Staying in a luxurious lodge next to a pretty lake, you can feel nothing else but relaxed. We shall be returning again, and again.... Highly recommended!

Stayed at the luxury Robins Lodge at Feb half term - had been looking at centreparcs but just couldn't justify the expense and came across mill meadow after some fairly exhaustive searching. We weren't disappointed and millmeadow was all that we hoped. We stayed in Robins Lodge, a 3 bed luxury home with all sundries provided even down to dishwasher tablets! Hot tub just outside the door, backed on to fishing lake and with a really good wifi connection (essential for 15 yr old daughter!!)
Could have easily walked to the local pub (great food) but didn't like to sit there in our wellies so took a 3 min drive. Had all sorts of plans to visit wookey hole and the clarks outlet shopping centre but actually didn't feel the need to go far at all except to eat out. Lovely walks with the dog, fishing on the lake with Joe and relaxing in the hot tub of an evening. Suzanne and Chris were great hosts, really comprehensive info pack and the kettle was boiled ready for tea and biscuits when we arrived. Highly recommended and have suggested to friends and family (and anyone else who stands still near me long enough).

We hired Robins Lodge together with Cuckoo Lodge for a large family celebration. Both lodges were well equipped with quality items and they were very clean and comfortable. We had a fantastic stay and would not hesitate to recommend Mill Meadow.

Robins Lodge was incredibly clean, well equipped and very spacious for six of us. The owners welcomed us with home grown flowers and biscuits and were very helpful. It was only a 15 minute drive to the junior cricket festival and was perfect for our needs. We would stay again and recommend to other cricket festival families.

This is the second time we have stayed, whilst our sons were playing in a cricket tournament at Kings College. We have always been made very welcome, and nothing is too much trouble. The quality of service and outstanding accomadation which is set out in the most beautiful tranquil location is second to none. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and with out a doubt intend to return. We all truly adore and treasure our time at Robins Lodge.

We needed a base for the wedding of our goddaughter near to Taunton.
We travelled down from Kent and Suzanne met us at the gate, very informative and helpful.
Robins Lodge was perfect, my husband and myself stayed a week and my son and daughter with their other halves along with our grandchildren came for a long weekend,
It worked well with plenty of space inside and out. Had a Waitrose shop delivered to the door as we arrived so no more shopping!

The Hot tub was an instant success with all..especially as the weather was also brilliant...warm evenings sitting outside on the decking ..drinking and eating..bliss..with the birds singing, surrounded by nature.

The house was very well equipped, and the rooms very spacious and plenty of wardrobes, cupboards etc.

In fact we didn't want to leave......but we will return for sure :-D

Lovely lodge and very quiet size was good having 3loos and 3 showers was a help getting ready in the morning and good hot water all the time the Internet was our only prob couldn't get any at all in lodge so made grandsons a bit unhappy .would def go again and fishing very good

Lovely size, good condition, clean and with everything you need to make yourself at home. Really enjoyed our stay as did our two dogs.

I would have loved the decked area to have been enclosed, just so we could have enjoyed the good weather with the doors open and the dogs being safe. The plumbing could have been better as in the toilets blocked easily and finally the wifi signal was a little touch and go but then we were on holiday and should never have been online anyway LOL

I recommend this as a gorgeous place to stay, I like space, luxury and my own bathroom, not small with 'olde worlde' charm when I am holiday so this was a fantadtic alternative to the typical stone cottages.

I booked Robins Lodge for my bridesmaids and I prior to our wedding in February..from the moment I made the enquiry the owners were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much and they wanted to make our wedding weekend the most perfect stay.
The Lodge itself is beautiful..all rooms are beautifully furnished and spacious. There were two very large bathrooms and a wet room..we were all spoilt for choice.
The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need...my only criticism..and it is only minor was there were no flutes for champagne so we popped out to buy some. I'm sure had we have asked the owners would have bought some down for us as nothing was too much trouble.
We were made to feel so welcome and the owners kindly took pictures of me and the bridesmaids before leaving for the wedding venue.
The location is beautiful and the lodges are far away from one another that you enjoy your privacy. We paid to use the private hot tub and I would definitely recommend this.
I thought the lodge was great value and we received a discount for booking guests into another Lodge..we also received a mid week, off peak discount for booking a further night.
The lodge was child friendly too and provided stair gates, a cot and a high hair. Perhaps they could make it a little more child friendly by providing a basket of toys in the lodge.
On our arrival we were greeted with homemade cookies...wow..amazing. They went down a treat with a cup of tea.

I would definitely recommend Robins Lodge for couples, families or groups of friends...we hope to return again soon.

We have stayed at Mill Meadow many times now but this was only our second stay in Robins Lodge.
You can always guarantee the property will be clean when you arrive. Suzanne is the perfect host and is always there to greet you when you arrive with the kettle boling and the homemade cakes or biscuits waiting for you.
It is so relaxing There. If you want to be active there are things to do but if you just want to relax its perfect. There is a lovely lake surrounding the lodges and you often see people fishing there.
we will continue to return here at least once a year

Mill Meadow is such a relaxing place to stay. We have now visited twice once with friends and the second time my husband myself and our well behaved dog. Both stays were in Robins lodge we love it and it just has all you need it is so well thought out and so comfortable these lodges are outstanding.
The surroundings are beautiful and there is plenty to do fishing cycling lots of great walking, Hestercombe gardens to visit take a walk through the fields and woods and have a coffee and visit the gardens they are well worth it.This is really a great place to stay. Generally we donot stay at a place more than once but Mill Meadow is the place we are happy to keep on returning to. It is very well cared for and Suzanne and the rest of the family are great at making sure everything is right for your stay.( Including fresh cookies tea & coffee for when you arrive) Donot hesitate in staying at anyone of these great lodges you will not be disappointed. We are looking forward to returning. There is still plenty for us to still see and do.
