Although set over one floor, Dinkley Cottage is not your typical bungalow. With a vaulted ceiling and large picture window, Dinkley is incredibly light and open. This large space is perfect for couples, friends or families.

The kitchen is well equipped, providing you with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Relax by the wood burning stove or immerse yourselves in the bubbling warmth of your own hot tub.

Me & my partner enjoyed a few days at dinkley cottage, it was a lovely and peaceful area. We didn’t need to contact the staff during our time but all the information prior to arriving about the facilities and the local area was good.

Some parts of the cottage are a little outdated but nothing major, the tv is a “smart” tv but the internet was not good enough to load any apps, there are dvds including but it would be great to be able to use the smart tv. The hot tub/cover is quite worn.

Overall the stay was great and would visit again & recommend to friends/family.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed with Ribble Valley Holiday Homes and yet again had a wonderful stay.
Such peaceful tranquil setting and Dinkley cottage was just so lovely.
Nothing is too much trouble when you stay here.
We will certainly be back

Great short stay at Dinkley cottage, staff were friendly & helpful. Our stay was very relaxing with the added bonus of the swimming pool, steam & sauna room all to ourselves (bliss). Lots of lovely places to visit within a 5/6 miles radius & lots of picturesque walks. We were so impressed that and we hope to return again later this year.

Loved our stay, the accommodation is great value, very well kitted out with all the essentials you need and a great hot tub. Location is fabulous being a short walk to Styyd Gardens where there are nice places to eat and drink in a relaxing setting. The people in the area are very friendly and Ribchester has a lovely feel to it, highly recommended.

Our 8th visit to the complex and our third to this cottage with my elderly mother who has mobility issues.
The cottage is perfect in everyway being single storey with lovely views of the treeline and visiting birdlife and a sunny sitting area to enjoy. Also within walking distance of a very good winebar which serves exceptional wines.

We spent an amazing weekend celebrating my husband's birthday at Dinkley cottage. The cottage was lovely and clean and well equipped. It has underfloor heating so was lovely and warm. The hot tub was great! All towels and robes were provided. There is a swimming pool and spa which you can use for an extra charge. If there is a large group of people you can hire it just for yourselves. The owners were lovely and very welcoming. We look forward to visiting again and will hire one of the larger homes so we can have the family altogether. A big thank you to John and family for helping to make our weekend so special.

Dinkley cottage is in a lovely, beautiful and peaceful area, with good road links to get out and about. The cottage completely met our expectations, being well equipped, clean , warm and comfortable. The hot tub definitely adds to the overall enjoyment. Although we didn't use the new the indoor swimming pool/ spa we did look around and it has been done to an extremely high standard - we will definitely book for swimming session on our return to Ribble Valley holiday cottages.

We have just returned from a lovely relaxing break in Dinkley Cottage. We couldn’t fault the cottage which was spotless, spacious and designed to a very high standard. The hot tub was perfect and added to the enjoyment. The new spa was a bonus and we had a wonderful massage with Yvonne and Sam.
Having stayed at Woodfield Farm and Somerwood in the past with our family I know that the new facilities will be a hit with them on our next visit.
We ate at both The White Bull and Ribchester Arms and would recommend both.

We stayed at Whitewell Cottage in April, which we loved. We decided to use Dinkley and it was excellent. Spacious, spotlessly clean, lovely views, parking for two cars, as we had a relative staying with us. Really helpful and friendly staff. A couple of minor problems were sorted immediately. Superb. We are already talking about a return visit. A brilliant location for visiting friends too. Our thanks to the staff for making our stay so good.

We’ve stayed here before, on recommendations from friends, but this was our first time in Dinkley Cottage. The living accommodation is open plan and really spacious, with a beautiful garden at the back. However, the bedrooms are quite small, certainly the master bedroom, and the en-suites tiny. Although we loved the living area, the bedrooms were better in sherburne, where we stayed last time.
It was a nice peaceful break, and perfectly placed for The Glasshouse at Stydd garden centre (my favourite place!), plus local pubs, Clitheroe, and The Flower Bowl entertainment complex at Garstang - highly recommended if you’re staying with kids.
We will definitely be returning, just may choose a 2 storey cottage instead for a bit more space in the bedrooms.

We were so impressed with the whole experience at RVHH. The cottage is delightful and so well equipped it was like home from home. The attention to detail is impressive in all parts of the cottage and the hot tub is a great way to relax and destress.
There are great places to visit when out & about from quaint little villages to fabulous eateries. It is a great place to get away from the hustle & bustle of a busy life and enjoy the congeniality of Liz & John, the lovely owners, and the staff who always greet you with a smile.

Dinkley cottage was a fabulous holiday home. It was very beautifully decorated and comfortable. Spacious, silent and sleek we had peace and rest throughout the stay. The only improvement we could offer is a change of sofas because they were well- worn and hard to sit on.
Al kitchen facilities were excellent, beds were comfortable and the hot tub was an added luxury. The cottage was well planned on one level and we'll thought out. This is our second stay here and we would definitely visit again. Thank you to all the team.

We came here for a relaxing few days as a family after a stressful time. We loved the nature and the location. The cottage itself is gorgeous- comfortable and spacious. We spotted some great birds and animals from the hot tub. However there is a building site on the site which is horrendously noisy - lorries, banging and workmen shouting just after 7am does not make for a relaxing break. This woke us up on two of the mornings we were here…the other day (Sunday) we are sadly also woken up by another inconsiderate guest disposing of their glass recycling at 6.30am. This should be a super relaxing place but at the moment be aware you need to either have the windows closed (not great in summer) or bring ear plugs.

Beautiful cottage with great open plan living space, and nice hot tub. Was a glorious sunny day so the garden was perfect. The only thing that was missing was a parasol!

Another great stay at this complex. We have stayed at 3 differing properties now all furnished and equipped to a high standard.
We were travelling with someone with limited mobility so Dinkley cottage was ideal all on one level and no trip hazards.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful cottage. Lovely break away in relaxing surroundings. Everything was available in the cottage. We found the sofa to be very uncomfortable however, could do with a re pad, but this did not take away the amazing weekend it a very lovely cottage.

When we found this place by looking on Independent Cottages website, we thought it was too good to be true - a lovely, modern, open plan accommodation with a garden and hot tub in exactly the location we were looking for? Surely not? But it was true. We had a warm welcome from the owners on arrival the accommodation didn't disappoint - it looked even bigger and better than the photos on the website. Practicalities of staying there were great too - lots of storage for bike and equipment, coats and clothes as well as a good sized fridge and freezer, cupboard space in kitchen etc. Lots of information in the cottage for day trips and walks as well which proved to be useful. Only slight negatives were, we could have done with more crockery in the kitchen and the bed was a little too soft for us (but realise this is very subjective and based very much on individual preferences)
The location was great. We have never been on holiday to The Ribble Valley or Forest of Bowland before but will be again as it is really beautiful and everything was a short ride/drive or walk away. When we do return, we will definitely be booking here again or one of their other properties. Lovely family, great cottage in a beautiful area. Thank you

We loved staying in Dinkley Cottage when we visited family in Lancashire for 10 days.
The cottage is modern, cosy and has everything you could need. It house the four of us with many luggage items well. We used the hot tub each day - the garden area is very private and relaxing.
The cottage is conveniently located just outside of Ribchester but also very close to Longridge, Clitheroe and Whalley.
We will definitely be returning and are looking forward to doing so.

The cottages are lovely really well equipped the hosts can’t do enough for you. Hot tubs a plus and kept clean and tested regular

Our 4th time at this complex but the first staying at this single storey property with my 86 year old mother.
The accessibility is superb, walk in showers no trip hazards to contend with. The views from the rear patio are lovely we saw lambs squirrels and a variety of birds we will return its our go to place for a short break.

This is a delightful cottage to stay in. Very comfortable, warm and spacious apart from the super king size bedroom which was quite cramped. There was a problem with no hot water on 2 days but this was quickly resolved on both occasions by the excellent staff on site.

The cottage was in a beautiful setting, within a small very quiet group of cottages. It was situated a few minutes walk from the gorgeous village of Ribchester, which had several places to eat.
The cottage was of a high standard, with good quality fittings, although there could of been a few more utensils for cooking, but you had the basics.
We really enjoyed the hot tub, which was at the side of the property, undercover and very private. We enjoyed watching the sunsets, while resting our weary bones after lots of walking.
For the majority of the property, it was very well cleaned, although I think the cleaner had forgotten a couple of places in th main bedroom.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful relaxing break.

This is out second stay in Dinkley cottage. Once again didn’t disappoint. Had one issue with a leak of water in kitchen area BUT they resolved that extremely quickly which is all you can ask for. Any interaction with staff was friendly and helpful and still mindful of the covid pandemic. Lovely area to visit. Ribchester is an old Roman settlement and has remains and museum well worth a visit

This is our third stay at Ribble Valley Holiday Homes and our first in Dinkley Cottage which we booked reasonably last minute for a short, three night stay. It was everything we wanted; comfortable, clean and relaxing and it was a perfect home away from home. We usually stay in Sherburne Cottage (and we're actually staying there in a couple of months!) and found Dinkley to be just as lovely. There was more than enough room for the two of us but we did find the bathrooms a little on the small side. Aside from that it is well equipped, the basket of cooking oil, salt and pepper, cleaning products, milk etc was gratefully received and the fairy lights around the hot tub were a lovely addition!

We have just visited the Ribble Valley Holiday Homes for the 6th time and stopped in Dinkley cottage for the 5th time and it is still as perfect as the first time. We spent the week here as our Mini Moon after our wedding and loved every minute. Incredible cottage and gorgeous surrounding area. Will be back in no time!

Our 2nd time staying at these cottages , we loved the Dinkly cottage it is stunning and perfect for a family holiday. The hot tub was clean & well maintained throughout our stay.
We had a slight issue with the bed in our 1st night which was dealt with straight away the next day. Staff on site were very friendly & helpful , we can’t wait to come back again!!

What a fantastic house. Beautiful inside, super clean with everything you could need and more. Spacious, modern and peaceful. Brilliant location- close to lots of nearby places. We will definitely return!!

The cottage is in a lovely part of the country with some fabulous places to dine,very convenient for the Lakes ,Blackpool and Lythem also not to far from Chester.Also some lovely garden centres with cooked breakfasts on offer .The cottage is a relaxing and peaceful place to stay and the hot tub is the icing on the cake .This was our second visit and will definitely be going again .

The cottage just did not live up to its luxury expectations, the bed for us was too soft and unsupportive, all of the chairs were hard and for us uncomfortable to sit on for any period of time. Sadly the quality that was there when the cottage was first built has just not been maintained and it now looks tired, It was also frustrating that there was insufficient crockery and equipment in the kitchen and that some of it was of a poor quality.

Lovely holiday in a fantastic cottage. Owners very friendly.
Had some lovely meals in The White Bull and The Ribchester Arms.
Will definitely recommend to friends and family and will be back.

Excellent position with a lovely , peaceful sun facing garden. Lovely to listen to the birds singing all day and evening.Hot tub had a covered roof which is a good idea if weather poor.
Living space in lounge/ kitchen and garden view area excellent.
Chose in part as offers a superking size bed which was great and should be a standard size! However, mattress very soft ( difficult to suit everyone but prefer firmer one) and very limited space to walk round the bed. Bathrooms quite small, particularly toilet space but functional.
2nd bedroom twin had plenty of space between the beds.There was only 2 of us but the cottage was spacious enough for the 4 it can accommodate.
We really enjoyed our week of relaxation in this lovely quiet location.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely community. Staff were welcoming and great with the kids. Perfect for any season with the hot tub and cosy fire in the winter and sunny garden and airy cottage in the summer. Great town with lovely pubs and cafes. We will be back!

Hurrah, we booked the right week and Covid allowed us to travel. The cottage is very spacious and well furnished. It was spotlessly clean and bright. WiFi fine for our purposes and good TV reception.
We were surprised that there was only a very minimal provision of cutlery and crockery, this may have been due to Covid restrictions. There was no milk jug and no tray for example.
Underfloor heating very pleasant as it was cold when we arrived.
Parking excellent and although there are a number of cottages on site it was very quiet.

I love the little community at Ribble Valley Holiday Cottages and having been here both for work with colleagues and family for pleasure, I highly recommend the setting for any purpose.
Emma is delightful and strikes the perfect balance of being available and yet unobtrusive.
I am literally looking for more excuses to have have to book again

First impressions were great. Had one small issue which was very quickly and efficiently resolved, can’t ask for more than that.
Spacious and comfortable. Beds comfortable and bedding really clean. Ideal If you use a wheelchair/ scooter as the hallway is big enough to leave them and charge them.
Owners was lovely and so helpful when we had a problem with the car.
Patio needs to be looked at as cement breaking up
We will certainly be rebooking for next year ( hopefully)
Lots to do and see even with some places closed because of Covid

The cottage is lovely and spacious, it's well equipped and has a beautiful outlook over the garden. The hot tub is fantastic. We felt comfortable and relaxed. The location is excellent too, the gentle stroll to the village is about 10 mins away. There are plenty of places to eat in such a small quaint village.
The contract is excellent with customer services. All round excellent.

We were fortunate to get a late booking for Dinkley Cottage. It was perhaps the best UK cottage in which we have stayed, especially the open plan lay-out of kitchen/dining area/sitting area which created a real sense of space. We also liked the garden area at the rear of the cottage. In the light of the Covid-19 situation, we did not have any direct contact with the staff team, but they were very helpful and professional during the booking process and in dealing with the need to re-set the TV in the cottage.

Dinkley Cottage is in a fantastic location with walks right from the front door or a short drive away. Fortunately, most of the walks can be combined with a visit to one of the many excellent pubs in the Trough of Bowland. Ribchester itself is walkable from the cottage and we enjoyed a drink in The White Bull. In addition, the cafe at Stydd Gardens was excellent.

It is highly likely that we will return to Dinkley Cottage or one of the other cottages on the same site.

A really lovely week away in the Ribble valley. Nicely equipped cottage with the bonus of a hottub. A little more remote than we are used to but still had a great time.

We enjoyed a most relaxing and comfortable week at Dinkley Cottage, beautifully located for exploring the Dales. With Ribchester and Clitheroe facilities, pubs and shops, nearby, one would be hard pressed to find a better place. The only negative was the very poor wifi connectivity, clearly something of an issue as we were asked in capital letters not to reboot the router! If this can be resolved, the cottage would then be perfect.
