Everything very enjoyable cottage very comfortable . Coffee machine not working. Would have liked a hot tub
We loved our stay. The lodge was well equipped and very comfortable. An ideal extremely peaceful spot.
Our large family were comfortably accommodated in this well presented, fully equipped, comfortably furnished and clean accommodation. We enjoyed the clean and well maintained hot tub and the fact that each bedroom had its own ensuite amenities. The environmentally conscious management encouraged and made waste recycling easy. John, the owner was friendly, approachable and would go out of his way to make our stay comfortable and pleasurable.
My family booked about 4 of the cottages for a family wedding we were attending. We all were delighted with the cottages. We decided to book the hot tub and so glad we did, lovely and relaxing. The surroundings were lovely and very well maintained. You had everything you would need in the kitchen and so easy to find. We will definitely be booking again.
We stayed here as a base for my daughters wedding. A lot of her family and friends stayed in the cottages on the same site. The accommodation is fabulous and everything is provided. The towelling gowns are great after the amazing hot tub. The house is massive and plenty of room to go for a quiet 5 minutes in the library or the lounge or in the games room. Could not fault this house and a massive bonus was the weather was in our favour for the wedding at the Tipis at Riley Green. Do not hesitate to book a stay.
Lovely cottage. Quite , lovely hot tub. Beds and pillows need updating in accessable bedroom. Lovely hot tub. Nice touches to have robes, soaps, salt /pepper cooking oil pack included.
Another excellent stay. Slight issue on arrival, but sorted quickly and the solution actually enhanced our stay. Kitchen has everything you need for cooking, but local eateries are walking distance if you need a change. Bedrooms all have ensuite bathrooms, which is great for us with mixed family members. Hot tub clean and hot, with dressing gowns and towels provided for all guests. Property is open plan with bifold doors to an outdoor undercover space, so all our family could be together, but be in different areas. Love it here, it's so peaceful. We saw deer, an owl, pheasants, squirrels ...more
This is the 2nd time we have stayed with Ribble Valley Holiday Homes and yet again had a wonderful stay. Such peaceful tranquil setting and Dinkley cottage was just so lovely. Nothing is too much trouble when you stay here. We will certainly be back
Fabulous cottage in a stunning location. Massive cottage with everything you could need, hot tub was great. Would recommend using the spa facilities
Excellent accommodation in a gorgeous location. The cottages, whilst perfectly reflecting the local environment and buildings, had everything you need and made it simple to simply move in. The staff were unbelievably helpful and friendly- not like the miserable sods in London, and ensured we were all settled - ah, apart from a bog-roll shortage! There were loads of us up for a wedding and so we occupied a number of cottages, but the layout meant we all had our own space and views - the sheep were friendly too! All in all Ribbletastic!
What a beautiful house - the perfect place for a family meet up. Three generations of our family met up to celebrate some (ahem) significant birthdays. Somerwood Cottage was the perfect location. From the large kitchen, dining and living rooms; to the games basement; to the immaculate bedrooms; outside furniture and hot tub - it was a fantastic place to stay with something for everyone. Handy for the mainline station at Preston for late joiners, in wonderful countryside for walkers and a short walk to the Ribchester Arms for drinkers. I really hope that we'll be back :)
I booked our stay as a relatively late booking, for the August Bank Holiday. As a couple who use Airbnb, Sykes etc fairly regularly - especially when visiting family in Lancs - I think this background enables a fair review. Location is great, a short walk to the Ribchester village (note the road connecting the two isn't pedestrianised). Facilities on site are modern and well kept. I visit spas regularly and the Hidden Oaks on-site spa is good value for money. The lodge itself is clearly new and has a nice outlook, it's just missing a few finishing touches, which I'll share with the owners dir...more
All lovely. Pre visit, duration and post visit, customer service was lovely. Only 2 suggestions needed for a large party as ours. A larger fridge. We brought a lot of our own food and to store for 16 people it does take up a lot of room. Due to our British weather, the rain will always fall but we still like to be outdoors so possibly more cover over the hot tub area and the pleasant path leading to it. These are constructive suggestions, not criticisms. Look forward to staying again. Thanks.
