We are very happy that we chose this holiday home. It’s a very clean, modern & bright refurbished chalet that has everything that you need for a comfortable stay. Somewhere that you can easily stay in at on a rainy day. Definitely going to return!
Barry and Michelle were wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The chalet exceeeded our expectation as was just perfect from the cleaniness to the location. If you are looking for a high standard, peaceful getaway this is the place. Plenty of amenties within walkig distance to the site and Hembsy town was only 10 mins walk along the coastal path. We will defintely be back in the future 10/10.
Beautiful cottage and in an excellent location. Short walk to the dunes and beach and just across from the excellent village pub. A fabulous place to stay, the owners have thought of everything. Can’t wait to return.
A really perfect cabin, comfortable and cosy. Superb location right by the beach! Peaceful and calm! Winterton-on-sea has all we need - cafes, chippy, pub and shop! Seeing the seals on the beach was an event checked off our bucket list - very special to see xx We will defo be returning in the future x
We have stayed in Winterton many times but this was our first time at Salty Dogs and most definitely wont be our last. The location is perfect for the beach and the village provides all the essential amenities and more.As for the cottage, it was so cosy, warm and gave you a big hug. It was exceptionally well equipped and everything was top quality. It felt as if a lot of love and thought has gone into the cottage.. not just for us but for our four legged friend too. We have stayed here a few times now and everything is what you would wish for in a holiday cottage. In fact, it is very much a home from home. The location is very peaceful and the large enclosed garden is excellent for children and dogs. The owners have paid attention to providing a very high standard of furnishings and equipment to make the stay very comfortable. We can thoroughly recommend this property.
Diane was great at letting me know the little things needed even before we arrived at The White House. The home was very easy to find and on arrival we were not disappointed, the welcome brownies went down a treat. The house was clean, well equipped and the beds were extremely comfortable. The grounds were lovey and my cocker spaniel loved roaming them. I honestly couldn’t fault the stay or the house and the location was excellent and we went to see the seal pups along the beach that was a very close walk. Fabulous location, spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped cosy cottage. Stayed twice now and will definitely be returning again. Its 5 mins to beach, pub, fish and chips shop, tea room and shop. We love April.cottage and dogs are welcome too.
Beautiful clean, comfortable, dog friendly cottage. Set in a quiet location and within walking distance to the beach. Fabulous dog friendly garden. Wood burning stove a bonus for those chilly nights. The dog towels and dog tags a nice extra. Very close to the fish and chip shop, local store and pub. We have already booked to stay again. Would highly recommend
This is the second year we have stayed at Larners Lodge. It is a well equipped and comfortable, cosy bungalow. We were 4 adults and a dog. Plenty of room for us all to be comfortable and such a great location to access all that Winterton has to offer. Adequate parking for 2 cars which is great in this village. We will stay there again.
We had a wonderful stay at Martins nest We were greeted on arrival by Diane the owner who informed us about the cottage and garden and showed us around very welcoming lovely lady There was everything you needed to start your stay including milk and some delicious brownies which were very welcome The cottage is beautifully presented and has a comfortable bed and all home comforts Located well for a walk to the beach and a private garden to relax in which we did thank you for a restful visit see you next year!
Lovely property in a great location perfect for dog owners. We found the heating temperature locked in and it was too high for us however the owners did come promptly to change for us.
We all loved our stay at the Cleveland house, a very spacious, comfortable and a well maintained property. The beds and linen were very comfortable. Plenty of mugs, glasses, pans, crockery and utensils, we cooked a large roast dinner on New Year’s Day with no problem and enjoyed it in comfort around the spacious dining table. The local pub/restaurant The Fishermans retreat was a cozy atmosphere and very welcoming, the local store was well stocked, all the locals were very friendly. Rosehearty is a fantastic property to stay in. Everything works and it's lovely and clean. Easy to stay in. Great for dogs. Wonderful location to walk from the door! Didn't want to leave.
Robins Rest is small but has absolutely everything you need. It is exceptionally clean and everything has been well thought out to make your stay more comfortable. The welcome pack is an added bonus. I wish we’d have gone earlier in the year when we could have enjoyed sitting out in the garden in the evening. It’s a quiet relaxing location with beaches a short distance away and a National Trust sight just down the road. Dunes cafe is a great place to stop dog friendly and lovely food.
Amity is a fab house to visit for a relaxing break It's central location made it perfect for us well maintained accommodation with all home from home comforts the off road parking is safe and secure &the enclosed garden perfect for dogs.
We stayed at Old Church Barn in January and can highly recommend it. There's spacious off road parking and a 'wow' factor even before you enter. On entering and taking off our shoes, the underfloor heating was most welcome. The exposed beams and partially rendered walls are lovely and the attention to detail is exceptional. The best way I can describe it is to say that it is dressed in the way you would if it was your own home. Nothing is "that'll do, it's only a rental". If you visit between November and January, make sure you go to Horsey beach to see the seals! We'll be back soon.
The Hollies is well presented and provides all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. It is in a quiet & friendly neighbourhood with easy walking distance to local shop, post office/cafe, fish & chip shop & dog friendly Pub. We will definitely return.
Lovely little place, Everything you could need at the cottage, very cosy, 5mins walk from shop beach pub ect. There's a small village walk. Only criticism is there was so many 'useful' things no where to put our own stuff! 2 extra chests of draws In the wardrobe plus other stuff, made it hard to hang things, food cupboard was full of scent sticks , prob could of gone under sink! Mattress comfy but will need update soon. We were so pleased with our stay at Tremeer, the property looks lovely from the outside and just as good inside. The rooms are very spacious, a well fitted kitchen, the main bedroom is large and the super king size bed very comfy. The garden is surprisingly large for a holiday home, great for dogs especially as it totally enclosed. We would definitely recommend this property and are looking forward to going back.
Great Barn, luxurious and spacious. Everything u need and great for dogs. Beds were very comfortable, hot tub was lovely. Definitely would come again
We had a lovely stay at The Carpenters Shop. Kitchen had everything you need even tea coffee & sugar & a welcome hamper ( including treats for the dogs). The extra throws & dog beds were a nice touch. The lift was great ( without this we would not of booked) & the private field at the back was great for the dogs! All in all a very nice place to stay.
Perriwinkle cottage is beautiful, and thoughtfully laid out with everything for comfort and what you need to make it a home from home whilst away. The host Jan is on hand if needed and left some lovely welcome goodies including champagne for New Years eve, with a welcome note. We had a fantastic relaxing stay and were a stones throw from the beach for long winter walks and the Fishermans Return, it was a complete switch off. High hall barn was superbly appointed and clearly is a very high standard of rebuild ..perfect . A fabulous week had by all .. games room and hot tub much appreciated , definitely helped us forget the miserable weather ! Thank you
Eva’s lookout is comfortable,cosy and well equipped for your stay away .It has everything you need to be able to cook should you wish to . The views from the living room and balcony are absolutely stunning and only a short walk to the beach and plenty of seals curious as to what you are doing.
We stayed for a birthday weekend by the sea. The house is very comfortable and happily accommodated our family of five, with three grown up children and a dog. There was a welcome basket which is always a kind thought. The house is bright and has a lovely outside space. The access to the beach and dunes was perfect and our dog was in heaven chasing on the beach. As with most holiday rentals there are a few small things which could be improved upon, but none of these impacted greatly on our stay. We had a fantastic relaxing weekend at The Cranny. Just the two of us and the dogs. Literally a stone's throw from the pub, beach, fish and chip shop, convenience store and two excellent cafes, one of which overlooked the beach. The beach and dunes go on for miles, so there was no need to go anywhere else the whole weekend as everything was close at hand. Communication was excellent, both from Winterton Cottages and the host, with welcome texts containing all the information we needed in advance. My friend and I and 2 x dogs went to Mariners Way Winterton for a short break. The property was excellent well equipped and spotless. Excellent location to beaches for doggie walks, a very dog friendly village with excellent pub The Fishermans Retuen. Coffee shop and local shop everything you could want. Easy distance to Grear Yarmouth and beyond. Highly recommend and hope.one day to return.
This was our 3rd visit to Pebblelight and once again we had a fabulous holiday. Everything very clean and comfortable, very close to the beach and plenty of places to eat so we stayed in Winterton. Garden a good size and very secure for our dogs. We hope to visit again next year
The accommodation is very comfortable and spacious, well-equipped and totally safe and practical for your dog. The location is perfect - dune walks nearby and the beautiful beach and clear sea just beyond that. The area is so quiet and peaceful - even the seagulls were quiet. We had a wonderful time - especially as I was recovering from surgery.
We love coming to Beachview. Always clean and comfortable although I think the sofa needs replacing. Onsuite bathroom we did not use on this stay as it smells very musty. Everything is was amazing. Would like to see discounts for regular guests the only reason im not booking for Easter but looking forward for July
Amazing location with all the essentials provided. A nice touch was the wine and chocolates along with milk in the fridge and plenty off tea and coffee not forgetting the complimentary biscuits. All little things that made you feel very welcome. The local shop is a few minutes walk away as is the Fisherman's Return pub and fish and chip shop. The sand dunes again are only a few minutes walk away which we loved and due to the time of year of our visit we were able to see the lovely seals. Stylish cottage, spotlessly clean and providing everything needed for a comfortable stay. Excellent bathrooms with powerful showers. As others have observed, the staircase to the second bedroom might be a bit steep for some but the arrangements were perfect for us as a couple. An easy walk to the centre of the village and the beach.
The property is very clean and new looking. On arrival we were greeted with a fabulous welcome basket. The attention to detail is very impressive at this property from the dog cupboard which included medicines to the binoculars to view the fantastic sea view. The kitchen is equipped with everything you will need. Outside is great for relaxing and enjoying the views with plenty of comfy seating areas
The old village shop is lovely, in an excellent location, great that you have a shop, pub, chip shop & a couple of cafes just minutes away & of course the beach. The house had everything we needed & was very comfortable for us & our two dogs, we walked a lot & never went out in the car all weekend a real bonus. We would love to stay there again.
Great property in a great location in the village. Everything you needed in the property. Very spacious and great layout. Central heating although took a while to heat up but once warm very cosy!
The house was excellent, the downstairs layout made it perfect for a family trip as it was basically open plan (perfect for our Christmas getaway). The finish in the house was also excellent with good quality furniture and equipment throughout. The pub is seconds away and the beach/dunes just a few minutes stroll. Highly recommend.

We have now used The Net House on two occasions and were very pleased with it. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed, including a south facing garden which our two dogs appreciated. It's only a very short walk to the beach (including miles of sand dunes) and the village shop, pub and cafe are only a 2 minute walk away. Off road parking is also handy in this small village with narrow lanes..
We had a very relaxing stay at Rose cottage.The cottage is very clean and has everything that you need.The beach and the dunes are minutes away from the front door.There’s also the tea rooms directly opposite and the excellent fish and chip shop ,and the local pub is worth a visit.We would definitely comeback to Rose cottage .
A sea view was very important to me and every thing in the chalet was very clean and tidy. I was unable to get down to the beach do to age.
Beautifully presented, comfortable accommodation in a fabulous location, just a few minutes walk to local amenities and the beach. The bungalow is equipped with everything you could possibly need for your break and furnishing is comfortable. Good parking, lovely enclosed garden and spacious interior.
We throughly enjoyed our recent stay at The Winnie it had everything we could have needed (and more) for a short break away with our two black labs. I loved the decor and all the various lamps making it feel very cosy and it smelt so nice when you first came in, we ended up sleeping in the back bedroom as that bed was much firmer. The location is just perfect for the beach and dunes walks, also close to the pub Fishermans Return which was really good, delicious fish pie. We would love to return next year
Celebrating my 60th birthday in Winterton with my wife and 2 dogs ,have visited regularly over the years ,first time in this cottage ,chose for location place does what it says in other reviews ,we really enjoyed our stay , good instruction for heating as we needed it .tv ,and appliances Beds comfy , would like to visit late summer to enjoy the garden Has in other reviews a upgrade on shower as it is low flow and maybe a bath installed as enough room Would recommend staying here
Very nice cottage and a good location. Cosy and great amenities near by. Highlights were the post office coffee shop and fisherman’s return and walks along the dunes.
