My dogs love the dunes better than the beach, so that was a major plus about this cottage, being so close to the dunes. Small but cosy cottage, just what we needed for a little break.
A lovely spacious comfortable cottage. Great bathrooms and showers. Very warm and cosy. Easy walk to the fabulous beach, dunes, pub and local shop.
Lovely house, excellent location, as always excellent service from Winterton cottages, will be booking again!
We had a lovely week in the immaculate Cobbles End Cottage. It was everything we could have We We had a lovely week in the immaculate Cobbles End cottage. It was everything we wished for, especially the dining kitchen. It was also lovely to sit out in the well kept garden. The village is quiet with a short, pleasant walk to the beach where there is a car park. The Fishermans Return PH serves lovely meals and there is a post office with Poppys' tearooms and a convenience store. We hope to return.
Beach view is a fabulous property with amazing views of the sea. Communication was great, the cottage was lovely and clean, The kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of plates, cups etc. Both bedrooms are very nice with very comfortable beds, which was great. It was really peaceful and quiet, plus we found people there very friendly. The views from the back of the cottage are amazing. It was lovely just looking out at the sea, and hearing the sound of the waves. Great bonus with the gate going down to the dunes, and straight to the beach which our dogs loved. We didn’t use the studio at ...more
We love Diane and her property:0) Diane the owner was welcomed, friendly and kind. I can only wish that everyone would be so awesome, welcomed and make the personal connection as Daiane did. From a point of arrival to the end we felt like we are at home. An amazing and relaxing stay. The bonus was the large garden, there was plenty of space for our two large dogs to run around and play football. Thank you for making our mini holiday special:0)
We had the most lovely time at The Tiddler! Whilst we are familiar with the location as well as the Hermanus site, this was our first visit to The Tiddler and we were not disappointed! The accommodation has everything you could need and more! Fresh milk and cookies on arrival as well as treats for our two furry terrors were thoughtful and appreciated touches! We loved all the sea-themed decorative touches as well as the Winterton history in the maps and postcards. Centrally located we enjoyed parking up and leaving the car for our stay to enjoy the beach and walks as far as Horsey, He...more
Beautiful cottage. Spotless warm cosy. Lovely decor.Everything you ever need was there Welcome pack was lovely and Clyde enjoyed his treats. Beautiful garden and totally secure. Beach and dunes only 10 min walk where there are toilets and you can get a bite to eat and a drink. Lovely village and so friendly. Lovely friendly pub and best cod ive ever tasted from the chip shop. Lovely cakes from poppys tea shop too. Mandy and Jonathan have done themselves proud. Already booked for next year as we loved it so much Tony. Debbie and Clyde
Been several times and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It’s just perfect for us and our dog, he loves the big garden and the field behind where he walks off lead daily
We had a lovely 4 night stay. The cottage suited us perfectly. Christmas decorations up for a stay in the first few days of December was a nice touch! Sadly the fish and chip shop was closed when we were there but we had a good meal at the local pub. Corner shop had plenty of supplies should they have been needed. We will definitely be returning.
Booked Cleveland House to celebrate my partner's 30th Birthday in November with our family (8 adults, 1 toddler and 3 dogs). The house was clean, well equipped, cosy, warm and just felt like another home from home - we all loved it! The hot tub is a bit of added luxury. The beach is a lovely 5 minute walk away and is the most gorgeous sandy beach, we had lots of fantastic dog walks and even saw the seals in the sea nearing the shore. There is a convenience store a 1 minute walk away, alongside a pub and cafe. The booking process was seamless, Rachel was so helpful and even provided us an earli...more
Comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, everything we needed in the kitchen. Easy access to the beach- which our dogs loved- and a useful shop in the village. We would recommend Pebblelight to friends, and hope to return ourselves.
Ideal location, very comfortable for us and the dogs loved it too. Lovely beach and dunes only 5 minutes away. Good parking on premises Secure garden for dogs.
A really nice place to stay Everything we needed for a perfect stay The dogs loved the garden and the location could not be better
Had a lovely stay over Christmas and the barn was decorated beautifully for the festive period. Nice little Christmas treats left for us too. For dogs the garden is enclosed all round. My two are not interested in escaping but the Vizsla would have been over the back gate if he chose to so it’s not going to stop an escape artist but he can jump a 6ft fence anyway if he wants. For most dogs they will be absolutely fine. Hose for washing muddy paws and a box of clean fresh dog towels for drying off. Water bowls dotted around too. Inside there was plenty of room in the kitchen for 2 dog crates...more
Amazing cottage that we were grateful to be able to return to. Amenities on your doorstep, beach and dunes 5 minutes walk, cosy and comfortable lounge, secure garden for our dog and seals on the beach. What else could you ask for?!
We have stayed at April Cottage twice before. It is cosy and tastefully decorated with a comfortable sofa, beds, pillows and bedding. The wood burner is a lovely addition during the winter months. It is a short walking distance to the local pub and also near to the corner shop, post office, tea room and fish and chip shop. A five minute walk takes you to the expanse of sand dunes and another five to ten minutes to the beautiful beach. You can walk right through the middle of the dunes to Horsey one way and Hemsby the other or, of course, along the beach but not at seal time when the huge s...more
We loved staying for Christmas week. It’s so relaxing because of all the creature comforts provided. Amazing views and access to golden beaches. Host was friendly and very helpful.
We totally love Old Church Barn, this is our third time there, but first time going in December, it was all beautifully decorated and so warm and cosy….quite different from our September stays but it never disappoints. The location is perfect for us, a lovely walk to Winterton beach, and our dogs love it too! Needless to say we have booked again for next September!
Lovely house and location. Amazing view. House is well equipped. We really enjoyed our 4 days here and the area was very quiet and peaceful during our stay, just the sound of the waves crashing on the shore - bliss.
Our 2nd stay in 3 months, this time for four nights. Lucky again with the weather, luca our cavapoo loved it and the beach. We will be back. Thank you for running an exceptional business, worth every penny. All the best, Peter,Lynn and Luca.
Fantastic location .perfect for dog holidays we've stayed every year in same chalet just for the convenient location and lovely beaches and walks
We had a lovely time at Beachcomber, plenty of room for our 3 dogs downstairs, very comfortable. Location very good for walking, shops, pub. Off road parking a bonus. Certainly can recommend.
Just spent a week at rosehearty with our 4 Rottweilers, very spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view out to sea, the property was perfect for us and the pack, loved every minute and so have the dogs, would love to come back, if you require quiet and privacy this is just the place!
Photos do not do it justice. we celebrated wedding anniversary and birthday - thank you for making special memories for us!
First time in Winterton and loved everything about it, the walks from the cottage on the dunes were amazing the dogs had a great time. Amity house is one of the best cottages we have stayed in very clean and comfortable with everything you need. Hursts farm shop is well worth a visit the fresh fish is very good. Would definitely recommend the fish and chip shop in the village. Will definitely be back next year and thank you for the welcome pack much appreciated.
A great property for those with physical disabilities thanks to the lift. What let's this down as perfect is the low toilets with zero hand rails etc. So for those with physical disabilities who struggle to rise bringing a raiser or similar is essential. We experienced 4 seasons in one week, rain, sun, gales and snow and ice. The paddock, great, we didn't need to drive in the snow and ice. The garden, great, for those with reactive dogs the garden, whilst secure, looks openly onto the next doors drive and front door meaning dogs are seeing people coming and going which was triggering so sup...more
We couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay. From start to finish, Winterton Cottages were professional and extremely helpful. Field Barn was immaculate and we were amazed when we first walked through the door. The house is spacious, clean and had everything you could possibly need. The hot tub is clean, the garden is secure, the beds are extremely comfy and no expense has been spared to make this house unreal! We would 100% return in the future and would look forward to staying at other Winterton properties. Thank you very much for such an enjoyable stay.
My husband, golden retriever and me recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming little cottage, and I can honestly say it exceeded all my expectations. Nestled in the perfect location, it felt like a home away from home, offering the ideal blend of tranquillity and accessibility. The cottage is tucked away in a peaceful, picturesque spot, yet just a stone throw away walk from local shop, Poppy café, and beautiful scenic coastal walking trails. It was the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area, yet also offered a sense of complete serenity. Inside, the cottage was wonderfu...more
Exceptionally clean and spacious bungalow with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Lovely touch of a welcome hamper was much appreciated and even treats for our dog Daniel.
This cottage is perfect location, pub is across the road, local shop too and the beach is a 10 minute walk. Very homely, everything you could think of or need is there. The garden was perfect for our dog, just the right size (when he wasn’t too tired from all his beach walks). There is also an enclosed dog field you can hire walking distance if your dog doesn’t have great recall it’s perfect, it’s called Winterton hound ground. Only negative I have is the towels were small and the mattress could be harder. Loved our stay there and would recommend to friends. Thank you
Our 3rd stay at Net House, still our favourite cottage in the village. Ideal position in the village & perfectly set up for a relaxing stay, can accommodate 4 adults easily. Thanks to Rachel who is always contactable & we hope to return early in the new year.
A lovely cottage in a great location to explore Norfolk or enjoy the dunes, which are a 2 minute walk. A nice local pub that is always welcoming. This is our 4th visit to the Old Village Shop so, that should say it all. Looking forward to the next one.
We stayed here for a weekend in November, unfortunately we had dreadful weather so it was lucky we had such a wonderful place to stay. Very clean and modern with all that you could need, 3 ensuite rooms and lovely balcony which I would like to come back and use in the summer months. Good location as lots of beaches and Yarmouth close. Delicious chip shop at the end of the road too. I would highly recommend this property to others and I would like to come back again in the future.
Loved the location and being able to see the sea from the house and be on the beach in less than 5 minutes. Was great to see the seals on the beach, if you actually walked for about a mile you saw them all laid on the beach so no need to go to horsey gap! House was well equipped with all basic stuff provided! Will definitely return to Winterton on sea!
We stayed 4 nights in Rose Cottage in mid December. The cottage is perfectly located right in the centre of the village, straight opposite Poppy's Tearoom. The decor is lovely and traditional and the bedrooms had top quality bedding, for really really comfy sleeps. The floors are tiled downstairs which was good for our dogs. The only drawback in the outside space was no proper secure garden for the dogs so they could only go out there on leads. It didn't matter to us as we just enjoyed many walks. It was seal pupping time whilst we were there which is an incredible spectacle I would encour...more
Had a lovely 4 night pre Christmas stay at Mariner’s Way. Clean and comfortable with everything you need for a home from home break in the lovely village of Winterton. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed our weekend stay but won't be returning to this cottage. My wife has accessibility issues and with very steep stairs and no downstairs loo, it became such an issue we left early. The furniture in the lounge is different to that shown online and quite uncomfortable. Beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped but we felt overall the place was quite basic and tired. A few capsules for the Tassimo coffee machine would have been welcome.
The holidays started on the wrong foot because when we arrived at the cottage, it wasn't cleaned or ready. However, the owner was helpful and arranged for the cottage to be cleaned immediately. It was cleaned reasonably well after that. Overall, on the positive side, the cottage is near the beachfront, and you can reach Winterton Beach within a 10-minute walk. It is also opposite the pub. The kitchen is well-resourced, and the bedrooms are comfortable. There are lots of board games provided. On the negative side, we have stayed in other Winterton cottages and usually, our feedback is five star...more
