Back for a second time, in two months. Still spotless apart from a bolt that was found underneath the bed. Not sure why the cleaners never found this as there was another part found in a draw. Apart from the middle bar of the bed head being loose, this was as perfect as last time we stayed. The bed is really comfortable and the repair I mentioned in our last visit to one of the facias/soffits was fixed. We used the house for a family milestone birthday and we’re not disappointed. The house is so beautiful and set in a lovely quiet spot in the middle of farm land. It was equipped to a super high standard in every respect, especially the kitchen, the hot tub was fun too. Our hosts were responsive and helpful and could not have done more to make us welcome. Would highly recommend to anyone.
The chalet was exactly as the photos showed. It has been beautifully refurbished and is a really nice place to relax and unwind. The beds are comfortable and the shower is powerful (great after long walks). The owners are very nice and helpful and you can see how they take pride in their chalet by how they look after and present the place. Hemsby beach is walkable from the chalet but the area is best explored if you have a car. Definitely recommended and we would stay again if we came back to the area in the future.
We’ve just returned from a truly delightful stay at Periwinkle Cottage, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been carefully considered. The cottage was immaculately clean and beautifully presented, creating an instantly welcoming atmosphere. Excellent. Very well stocked with utensils etc. Good design particularly in the conversion of the old garage. Lovely garden. Hope it survives two dogs having fun! Comfortable bed. Will hopefully return.
We have stayed here a number of times and are always very impressed by the high standard of everything. It is very well equipped, extremely clean and comfortable, and the large secure garden is great for the dogs. It is also only a short drive to the lovely beach at Winterton. We look forward to many more visits!
Beautifully furnished chalet, with plenty of equipment. Very clean and a lovely welcome pack plus lots of extras such as cleaning stuff should you need it. The location is excellent, 5 mins walk to beach and pub in village - perfect. Only downside is the hot water which needs to be overridden if you shower twice a day. Great for a short stay for two.
A lovely cottage perfectly located for centre of village and short walk to beach. Cottage was well equipped and had benefit of outbuilding with washing machine and freezer. Lovely cottage inside and just right for a lovely holiday.
This was our second stay at Cobbles End which says it all really - a great place to stay and enjoy the nearby walks.
In a beautiful quiet lane on the Norfolk coast you’ll find this ‘gem of a barn’. Stunning throughout and dog friendly too. Modern with quality fixtures and fittings. If you want a relaxing setting but within easy reach of beautiful beaches and quaint villages with pubs serving quality food then it’s a must. We will definately return soon!
Eva’s lookout is a lovely well maintained holiday let. Comfortable for 8 people. Plenty of parking and secure gardens from and back. We would have liked an extra fridge to store overflow food and drinks. Otherwise everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Would definitely return.
April cottage is a lovely little period cottage, just a short walk from the beach. It sits along one of the narrow back roads in Winterton, so is quiet and un-overlooked but literally a few minutes walk from the village pub, cafe, (both friendly and lovely food!) and convenience store. The small court yard garden is secure and dog safe and there is a drive providing off road parking for one car. Sanderlings is beautifully prepared and equipped. The decor was fresh and original. The kitchen and utility room are equipped with modern easy to use machines - though are missing a dishwasher. (But there is a wine fridge and washing machine). No problem; the grandchildren were keen and enjoyed helping with chores. The bedrooms are well decorated and in perfect order. The stairs - a bit steepish for the more senior member of the party - and the landing are well lit including with a modern and ingenious auto floor lighting system which ensured safety at all hours. This was our third stay at natterjack and won’t be our last. The cottage is so clean and tidy and everything you would ever need is there. The decor is so lovely. Lovely dog friendly pub in the village and the cod and chips from the chip shop are the best we have ever tasted. Lovely quiet beach is 10 mins walk where you can get a drink and bite to eat and public toilets are available if needed. can’t wait to get back. Mandy and Jonathan have done themselves proud
We’ve stayed in winterton-on-sea for a few years now in different homes but tremeer was by far the best one so far. It had everything you could ask for location, close to the beach and shops. The garden was amazing my little cockapoo Luna loves all the space, nice and quiet even with the main road at the front. We had a issue with the washing machine and Amanda the owner was on it straight away with getting us a new one the day after,the house was nice and clean with everything in it you would need. We would love to stay again it was perfect.
If you are looking for a walking holiday with your dog this is ideal place to stay. The Cottage has your every need and was just lovely and clean. Lots of car free public footpaths on your doorstep and about 2km walk to the sea. Private parking area so no need to panic for a parking space and driving you are within 15/20 mins from Gt Yarmouth, Sea Pauling and Hosey Gap / NT Hosey windmill. Firstly, great communication with Diane ( the owner ) even before our stay. Diane was also there to greet us and waved good bye when we left this beautiful place. If you want a nice peaceful place to stay with privacy, Martin's Nest is perfect! We loved it here, it's so peaceful, quiet and the grounds are outstanding. Our dog loved having it's own private enclosed garden especially with the french windows opening out towards the patio and grassed area. We'll definitely be back here sometime in the near future. We usually stay in Winterton on sea but this was what was available. We knew it would be close to the beach as was just further along from where we usually stay. This one was easier to access the beach with no high hills to climb down or up the dunes. It was located close to Hemsby but we didn’t visit there other than once as we prefer the quietness of Winteron so we walked along the beach to seal view cafe which only took about 30 mins. We chose here for the closeness of Winterton on Sea beach . This was a break with our dog. She loved it. The place has everything ( and more ) that you need . Very thoughtful touches . Loved the full size bath sheets - a nice touch . The welcome pack was very nice . Loved the field next door . Such a quiet place to stay Don’t hesitate to book . We wished we had booked for longer & I'm sure we will be back .
Rosehearty is a stunning property with modern decor and beautifully laid out. There was everything we needed for a comfortable stay with lots of little extras included. Ideal for larger families. The views over the dunes and sea are breathtaking. The garden is huge and we enjoyed spotting the birds and wildlife that visited. It's a perfect base to explore the Norfolk coastline and beyond.
Lovely house, everything you need at the house and in the locality. We did find it a bit busy as was tourist season, so will be back during quieter times. Can’t wait to visit again.
4th stay & 3rd this year. Everything as usual except the weather, limited dog walks as too hot. Luckily the property is comfortable to spend time in & we finally made use of the garden as we usually come in the colder months. As ever great communication from the owners, looking at our diary to book another stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Carpenters Shop which is a beautiful property, quirky, with lovely nods to its past and would highly recommend it to others. We went with our two labs and our yorkie cross. The house is totally dog focused and so well equipped it has everything for your dogs comfort and the secure garden and paddock were perfect for their exercise and fun ( a proper dogs holiday as well as ours) . What a wonderful cottage in a truly magnificent location. On arrival, the cottage is 'chocolate box' perfection. In a quiet location yet there is everything you need in the village. A gentle 5 minute stroll down to the beach means you have everything you could possibly need on your doorstep. The Cranny was clean and well maintained with a beautiful garden surrounding the cottage. The welcome package was a lovely surprise and went down a treat. We didn't want to leave and wished we had booked 2 weeks. We will definitely be returning and are already looking at dates for next year.
Just go to back from a week stay at Field Barn Happisburgh. From booking it to checking out our whole experience was 5 Star. The accommodation was amazing and on arrival had the Wow factor throughout. Attention to detail in each room was fab and the garden was fantastic for our spaniel (very secure ) . Having the hot tub to relax in the evening was superb and we enjoyed using the barbecue. We were very blessed with the weather but great base to explore North Norfolk and enjoy the beautiful beaches. We had a wonderful time at Bulmer Cottage . Pleasant location close to the beach . The cottage is extremely comfortable with a very eclectic feel yet very true to its origins . Immaculately decorated and spotlessly clean with easy access to restaurants, pubs and fabulous beaches especially Horsey Gap where we were able to spend time observing the very friendly seal population. We would definitely book again and highly recommend it .
Had a lovely stay at pebblelight. Great location. Dog loved the sandy dunes and swimming in the sea at the gorgeous Winterton beach. Lovely to see seals swimming past.
The accommodation is very comfortable and spacious, well-equipped and totally safe and practical for your dog. The location is perfect - dune walks nearby and the beautiful beach and clear sea just beyond that. The area is so quiet and peaceful - even the seagulls were quiet. We had a wonderful time - especially as I was recovering from surgery.
The property is very clean and new looking. On arrival we were greeted with a fabulous welcome basket. The attention to detail is very impressive at this property from the dog cupboard which included medicines to the binoculars to view the fantastic sea view. The kitchen is equipped with everything you will need. Outside is great for relaxing and enjoying the views with plenty of comfy seating areas
A lovely little cottage, a short walk to the beach and all the village amenities. Very clean. Small patio area which catches the sun and good private parking.we had a pleasant week here with our two dogs. Well equipped with all home comforts. Good wi-fi. Very steep stairs but plenty of hand rails. Main bathroom is upstairs but there is a downstairs loo. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Winterton. Small conservatory which was handy and caught the sun all day .
My only comment would be- to brush down cobwebs on the outside furniture. The house was in a great location and fully equipped
We had a brilliant week in The Net House. Very comfortable accommodation and everything you need is within walking distance; shop, pub, fish&chips, post office and the beach! Excellent walks straight from the house with access to the Norfolk costal path.
We loved our week at Grayling House primarily for its position close to the beach for a morning dog walk and access to the rest of the stunning coast and beaches and to the Broads national park. We had great fun exploring and the location made this really easy. We liked Winterton as it had such a calm and homely feel as a village. Not as touristy as some of the local towns nearby. The house itself had three really comfortable bedrooms with great showers - a must for us on holiday and something we look for in the photos. We had a lovely relaxing stay at Sunny View. The location was perfect. There was a pub across the road, a Sunday roast up the road, the beach was a 5 minute walk, a dog pen was a 15 minute walk and it not a long drive from other local places (Hemsby, Yarmouth or Sea Palling). Rachel was a fantastic host, we had a lovely welcome hamper on arrival and there was a leak in the main bathroom which she was available to come see and come up with a solution. We had a lovely week in the bungalow. Very tidy and well equipped. The garden is a real sun trap and sheltered from the Northerly wind.
We had a lovely few days at Trinity Barn. The information provided before we set off was very useful. We received a text message from the owners when were travelling to confirm that the barn was ready for us, which was a nice touch. The barn itself is stunning, it has been decorated to a very high standard and is light and airy. The owners have thought of everything so the kitchen is very well stocked. Excellent chalet - very comfortable and welcoming and views to die for! We enjoy the nautical touches too. I wondered if it might it be an idea to have a 'visitors' book' where guests could write in recommendations of places to visit and places to eat, etc.
Had a wonderful stay at Rose Cottage it is a comfortable cottage in an ideal location. A 3 minute walk to the beach, opposite the tea rooms and fish and chip shop and round the corner from the pub! Ideal for people with dogs, very fog friendly cottage and area. The cottage has almost everything you need (just take your own tea towels as these were not provided). And be aware to take.a sleep mask if you awake easy to the light as there are several windows without blinds/curtains. Overall however would absolutely recommend!
we had a lovely time in winterton-on-sea.Winnie was lovely but there was a very bad smell in the bedrooms, it smelt of dog urine so we ended up staying at my sons in Gorleston as we couldn’t sleep in that smell and i certainly would not let my Grandson sleep there. My husband sprayed some spray but it didn’t make any difference.We have stayed in many accommodations and never have a problem like this.
Lovely cottage in a perfect location. 5 minutes from the beach and local shops. Clean & tidy. Very comfortable and all amenities you would need for a self catering stay. Welcome goodies for both human and furbabies were a lovely gesture.
We had a lovely stay with our dogs, Owen was very helpful when contacted. We saw seals at Horsey beach which was amazing. Our dogs loved the beach near the cottage and jumping in the sea! The cottage was very comfortable with great decor, the bed was super comfy too!
