Barry and Michelle were wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The chalet exceeeded our expectation as was just perfect from the cleaniness to the location. If you are looking for a high standard, peaceful getaway this is the place. Plenty of amenties within walkig distance to the site and Hembsy town was only 10 mins walk along the coastal path. We will defintely be back in the future 10/10.
We are very happy that we chose this holiday home. It’s a very clean, modern & bright refurbished chalet that has everything that you need for a comfortable stay. Somewhere that you can easily stay in at on a rainy day. Definitely going to return!
Spacious 2nd floor flat. Close to beach, shops ,fish and chips and Fisherman's Return pub Beautiful, spacious flat Kitchen modern and fully equipped The bedroom is immense ..bedding luxurious. Lisa , the owner was very quick to respond to queries and gave us a warm welcome
Cottage was fantastic. Everything you could possibly need and such a lovely location. My second visit to Winterton on Sea and wasn’t disappointed. Garden secure for dogs. Lovely dog friendly beach just a few minutes drive away. Poppy Tearoom in village is a must to visit.
We loved the tiddler it had everything we needed would definitely stay again lots of cleaning products which is great when your staying a week .the heaters all worked well and heated it up very quickly yes the water needed heating up after 2 showers but all instructions were there for you just had to wait 20 mins no problem your on holiday everything was well thought out throws and towels for the dogs if needed will definitely be back one day
We have stayed here a few times now and everything is what you would wish for in a holiday cottage. In fact, it is very much a home from home. The location is very peaceful and the large enclosed garden is excellent for children and dogs. The owners have paid attention to providing a very high standard of furnishings and equipment to make the stay very comfortable. We can thoroughly recommend this property.
Diane was great at letting me know the little things needed even before we arrived at The White House. The home was very easy to find and on arrival we were not disappointed, the welcome brownies went down a treat. The house was clean, well equipped and the beds were extremely comfortable. The grounds were lovey and my cocker spaniel loved roaming them. I honestly couldn’t fault the stay or the house and the location was excellent and we went to see the seal pups along the beach that was a very close walk. The local pub was pricey (and I come from London) but it done lovely food and the atmosp...more
Absolutely loved our stay at Natterjack Cottage! So close to the sand dunes and beach for our dogs walks. The cottage has everything you and your dog needs and the beds are so comfy. Winterton on Sea village is lovely and quiet but has a lovely pub for food and drinks. All in all a lovely place to stay!
Fabulous location, spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped cosy cottage. Stayed twice now and will definitely be returning again. Its 5 mins to beach, pub, fish and chips shop, tea room and shop. We love April.cottage and dogs are welcome too.
We had a wonderful stay at Martins nest We were greeted on arrival by Diane the owner who informed us about the cottage and garden and showed us around very welcoming lovely lady There was everything you needed to start your stay including milk and some delicious brownies which were very welcome The cottage is beautifully presented and has a comfortable bed and all home comforts Located well for a walk to the beach and a private garden to relax in which we did thank you for a restful visit see you next year!
From the gated driveway to the red tipped hedges of the enclosed garden, this property is a gem. Finished to a high spec and containing everything you could possibly need for a perfect relaxing break in the glorious Norfolk countryside. Warm, welcoming, spotlessly clean and luxurious. What more can you ask for!
We stayed here in October 2025 and loved it so much we returned for February half term. We had yet another wonderful stay. Both stays the weather has been bitterly cold and the house has been lovely and warm. Immaculate and comfortable as before. This time I brought my parents with me and they loved the house too. My dad has slightly reduced mobility so this place was perfect for him. The dog enjoyed watching the rabbits running around the garden but thankfully they didn't appear when we went off out for our walks. We look forward to another stay soon :)
We loved the house. Secure garden for the dogs, 30 seconds to the dunes, off road parking and all rooms were a good size and comfortable. We are planning to go back!
A very enjoyable week spent at Amity House. Very clean and sparkly on arrival, well appointed and everything provided that one needs for a week away...even some empty cupboards for our own groceries (something we've found some other holiday rentals don't provide meaning you have to leave groceries out on the kitchen tops.) Great position for long walks along the dunes and beautiful beach. We love Winterton as it's a quiet and unspoilt village with none of the tourist attractions of other places nearby. Let's hope it stays that way.
We had a lovely time at Cleveland house, we loved that we could take the family dog and all be together under one roof. We were also provided with a cot, stair gates and high chair for our toddler which was really helpful and convenient. Some of these items were looking quite tired / didn't work as well as they once would have but it was ok for a short stay. The house was really clean and had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves for the weekend. The hot tub was lovely and a great addition to our stay!
Robins Rest is small but has absolutely everything you need. It is exceptionally clean and everything has been well thought out to make your stay more comfortable. The welcome pack is an added bonus. I wish we’d have gone earlier in the year when we could have enjoyed sitting out in the garden in the evening. It’s a quiet relaxing location with beaches a short distance away and a National Trust sight just down the road. Dunes cafe is a great place to stop dog friendly and lovely food.
The Hollies is well presented and provides all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. It is in a quiet & friendly neighbourhood with easy walking distance to local shop, post office/cafe, fish & chip shop & dog friendly Pub. We will definitely return.
With two dogs in tow, I arrived at Old Church Barn looking forward to a coffee and a sit-down. The standard, furnishing, and cleanliness of the barn is superb. Yet, despite that, it felt very welcoming. Fantastic location and well worth a short or long stay.
We were celebrating a family birthday with 3 generations. The barn is pure luxury from the hot tub to the games room. We took our 2 dogs and enjoyed some lovely walks. Everything has been thought of, the bedrooms were all lovely and the suite at the top was outstanding. It’s in a great location making it easy to go places, Wroxham, Yarmouth, Stalham & Potter Higham.
We were so pleased with our stay at Tremeer, the property looks lovely from the outside and just as good inside. The rooms are very spacious, a well fitted kitchen, the main bedroom is large and the super king size bed very comfy. The garden is surprisingly large for a holiday home, great for dogs especially as it totally enclosed. We would definitely recommend this property and are looking forward to going back.
This is our fourth stay at The Carpenter's Shop..It is such a lovely place to be. Everything we could possibly need is provided. We loved the new coffee machine with coffee pods. Our only problem is that there are no window coverings in the main room downstairs. One of our dogs is reactive and he barks at anything that moves in the garden. We have to bring large sheets of cardboard with us to put up along the bottom of the patio windows at night to prevent him seeing lots of pigeons pecking at the grass early in the morning. We do manage and I am not sure what you could put on such large win...more
Great Barn, luxurious and spacious. Everything u need and great for dogs. Beds were very comfortable, hot tub was lovely. Definitely would come again
Perriwinkle cottage is beautiful, and thoughtfully laid out with everything for comfort and what you need to make it a home from home whilst away. The host Jan is on hand if needed and left some lovely welcome goodies including champagne for New Years eve, with a welcome note. We had a fantastic relaxing stay and were a stones throw from the beach for long winter walks and the Fishermans Return, it was a complete switch off. The garden is also 100% secure for dogs and safe, which is a piece of mind when you have an escape artist Beagle. Thoroughly recommend and will definitely book in the futu...more
Eva’s lookout is the most perfect location behind the dunes and overlooking coast. Lovely clean, spacious house with a real wow factor! Great responsive hosts and very close to the beach with its own private path to the beach.
As always nothing to complain about this lovely place, ideally situated in the centre of Winterton easy access to dunes & beach.
We had seen this cottage on previous visits to Winterton on Sea and this time stayed here. All I can say is ‘Wow’ it lived up to and exceeded expectations. Everything about this cottage was perfect to the point I could live in it. The garden is beautiful and secure. We have booked again before leaving, I think that says it all.
What a gorgeous place. Everything was excellent in the cottage and the position was perfect, to sit in the conservatory and listen to the sea was heavenly. Can’t fault anything and we will definitely be returning.
Ideal location, perfect being adjacent to beech Seemingly everything though of that we might need Would use again
Lovely cottage - very comfortable and spacious for family of 4. Well equipped and well situated for walks to beach, shop and pub. We will definitely be back!
My friend and I and 2 x dogs went to Mariners Way Winterton for a short break. The property was excellent well equipped and spotless. Excellent location to beaches for doggie walks, a very dog friendly village with excellent pub The Fishermans Retuen. Coffee shop and local shop everything you could want. Easy distance to Grear Yarmouth and beyond. Highly recommend and hope.one day to return.
Pebblelight is a very homely, comfortable property. Everything was very easy to use and the heating was efficient. The property never felt cold even when the heating was off. Lovely to have an open fire but we didn't need to light it. Kitchen is well stocked with crockery, glasses and pans, but it would have been helpful for a supply of cling film/foil to wrap up things in the fridge. The property is a very short walk to the beach and also close to a network of restricted byways which were very quiet walking alternatives. The garden is small but with so many walking opportunities close to hand...more
Amazing location with all the essentials provided. A nice touch was the wine and chocolates along with milk in the fridge and plenty off tea and coffee not forgetting the complimentary biscuits. All little things that made you feel very welcome. The local shop is a few minutes walk away as is the Fisherman's Return pub and fish and chip shop. The sand dunes again are only a few minutes walk away which we loved and due to the time of year of our visit we were able to see the lovely seals. The only thing we thought could be improved in the property was the shower other than that a lovely cott...more
The property is very clean and new looking. On arrival we were greeted with a fabulous welcome basket. The attention to detail is very impressive at this property from the dog cupboard which included medicines to the binoculars to view the fantastic sea view. The kitchen is equipped with everything you will need. Outside is great for relaxing and enjoying the views with plenty of comfy seating areas
The old village shop is lovely, in an excellent location, great that you have a shop, pub, chip shop & a couple of cafes just minutes away & of course the beach. The house had everything we needed & was very comfortable for us & our two dogs, we walked a lot & never went out in the car all weekend a real bonus. We would love to stay there again.
Great property in a great location in the village. Everything you needed in the property. Very spacious and great layout. Central heating although took a while to heat up but once warm very cosy!
The house was excellent, the downstairs layout made it perfect for a family trip as it was basically open plan (perfect for our Christmas getaway). The finish in the house was also excellent with good quality furniture and equipment throughout. The pub is seconds away and the beach/dunes just a few minutes stroll. Highly recommend.
We have been coming to Winterton over the past 20 years . Salty Dogs was by far our best accommodation. Wonderful location, beautiful cottage with all amenities you could possibly need and two sun trap courtyards. We would definitely recommend and will be coming back later in the year. Oh and lovely wine. crisps and biscuits waiting for us on arrival . much appreciated
A beautiful barn. Very clean, well equipped and very cosy. Perfect location to visit the surrounding area.
Lovely property in an excellent location. We found the sofas a little too hard to remain comfortable for long.
It’s in the title! Garden is amazing. Beautifully kept and a delight to enjoy. Appreciated by all of the family. Amazing walks straight from the house. Would love to come again.
Lovely comfortable, clean house, locals were friendly ,good pub a short walk away ,short walk to the beach , what more do you need . Highly recommended
We have now used The Net House on two occasions and were very pleased with it. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed, including a south facing garden which our two dogs appreciated. It's only a very short walk to the beach (including miles of sand dunes) and the village shop, pub and cafe are only a 2 minute walk away. Off road parking is also handy in this small village with narrow lanes..
This was our second visit to Rose cottage .The fact that we returned is testament to how much we like the place. Its handy for everything in the village and only a short walk to the beach and the nature reserve. We will be back again no doubt.
A sea view was very important to me and every thing in the chalet was very clean and tidy. I was unable to get down to the beach do to age.
First time in this cottage, we know the village well so knew its location was good etc. parking was good, nice little garden area enclosed so safe for large and smaller dogs (no grass) . Handy porch/ small conservatory great for coats and boots etc. lounge comfy . Upstairs bedroom has more room than the downstairs one. If 4 adults were staying the ones using the downstairs bedroom would struggle for space. Although we did use that room to sleep we kept our case & clothes in the room upstairs . The stairs are steep winding ones but plenty of hand rails to grab . It is a little tired but it...more
Comfortable property in good location we have stayed at this property several times and enjoy visiting Winterton on Sea
We throughly enjoyed our recent stay at The Winnie it had everything we could have needed (and more) for a short break away with our two black labs. I loved the decor and all the various lamps making it feel very cosy and it smelt so nice when you first came in, we ended up sleeping in the back bedroom as that bed was much firmer. The location is just perfect for the beach and dunes walks, also close to the pub Fishermans Return which was really good, delicious fish pie. We would love to return next year
Lovely cottage. Clean, good quality appliances and really good ‘welcome information’ which I was grateful of. Owners are very friendly and you feel supported whilst you stay. Ideal location to the Dunes for dog owners and the local village facilities. Outside tap very handy. However, it must be noted the staircase is extremely steep but does have a good stair-gate for the safety of young children and comes in handy to keep your dogs downstairs.
A beautiful thatched cottage in a prime location, opposite the dog friendly village pub, that has been extended to provide a lovely restaurant, without losing the old part of the pub, all being dog friendly. The fish and chip shop, post office, cafe and convenience store are around the corner. ( Check fish and chip shop opening hours ) The dunes and beach are in walking distance, but a car park is also available at the Dunes cafe area, these cafes provide a good assortment of menus and drinks. The cottage is very clean and provides anything you would need. It is obviously the owners pri...more
