We have stayed in Winterton many times and I can honestly say this has been the best! Beautiful Apartment, very spacious, comfortable and fresh. Nicely situated in the centre of Winterton. The apartment was well equipped for all your needs. We thought we might miss not having a garden but there’s the beach and plenty of grass areas to walk the dog! We will definitely be returning
We are very happy that we chose this holiday home. It’s a very clean, modern & bright refurbished chalet that has everything that you need for a comfortable stay. Somewhere that you can easily stay in at on a rainy day. Definitely going to return!
Very homely and comfortable cottage. Well equipped kitchen, owner has thought of everything you could possibly need. We slept extremely well despite the heat . We had fantastic weather and we spent time in the beautiful dog proof enclosed garden before we went to the beach later in the day . We had a very lazy time just chilling out , it was too hot to do anything else . This is our third time to Winterton and we certainly will be coming back . One thing I would recommend is a sunset cruise from Horning on the Southern Comfort Mississippi boat, thoroughly enjoyed it and very good value. The B...more
Everything about the White House was excellent. The large garden is amazing and the first thing you see as you open the gate. The summerhouse is a lovely place to sit and read (it also contains outdoor games if the weather allows). The conservatory leads to a well equipped kitchen - this is one of two as the ground floor bedroom is a self contained suite off the kitchen with a small kitchen and shower leading to a well setup bedroom with French doors to the garden (and one of the three patio areas). Upstairs every bedroom is lovely. There is a good laundry/utility room off the kitchen with ...more
Lovely place with some nice touches, including welcome pack of local cookies, milk, bread and marmalade. Dog provisions were excellent too, biscuits, bowls and blankets. Plenty of towels and bedding for us if we needed it too! Great location a short walk to a dog friendly beach, where we saw seals on most days. Other wildlife too such as muntjack deer just outside the cottage, grasshoppers and lots of different birds and butterflies. Access to the pool and having wifi in the cottage was a welcome bonus too. Short drive to Great Yarmouth and Hemsby for traditional seaside activities which...more
The chalet was perfect exceedingly well equipped The owners made you feel welcome and did all they could to ensure you had a great holiday which we did
Natterjacks is beautiful, very clean, with a secure front garden that was ideal for my dogs. Very quiet as it’s within a courtyard, so no traffic noise other than a couple of neighbours cars, which worked well for my noise anxious dog. Few minutes walk along the road to the pub and the beach, or down the back lane to the dunes. Worked well for us except dogs aren’t allowed throughout, which would unfortunately stop me booking again, otherwise it would be my regular spot for my annual Winterton trip. I wish Winterton Cottages made it very clear on every listing where dogs are allowed in each pr...more
The cottage and its garden was wonderful. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Secluded and dog friendly garden. Diane was a lovely host who was on hand if ever we needed anything. Highly recommend.
We've stayed here a number of times now and are always extremely pleased with everything. Excellent location for the coast and Broads. The enclosed garden is secure for children and dogs with extra space on the adjacent field. Would highly recommend it.
Spent a week at April cottage. Pre arrival information was excellent with lots of additional information in relation to the local area. The cottage was clean, well equipped and comfortable. We didn’t have any need to contact the owner or agents whilst we were there. Happily stay here again.
Nice and very quiet place to stay, with rear overlooking farmland. Fully enclosed garden. Lots of walks for dogs, including dog friendly beach. Couple of nice pubs but nothing much in the way of village shops, but delivery wasn't a problem. Overall a very relaxing holiday in a clean house with top level fittings
This is our third visit to Old Church barn it never disappoints, a peaceful locality and a stunning place to stay
Having stayed at Rosehearty in both 2025 and 2026 it goes without saying that both accommodation and location are second to none. However, having already considered booking again for 2027 we were shocked at the exorbitant increase in price. An increase of 10% or 20% is expected but over a third increase for the same week next year !!! Probably means we will be holidaying elsewhere
Obviously we are very Happy with the property as our recent visit was our sixth in the past 2 years. The owner presents a property of a very high standard with everything one could need. The enclosed garden is perfect for any furry friends you may have along with the adjacent paddock it makes a perfect break.
This is a very nice cottage in a lovely village. The inside of the cottage matches the photographs exactly but unfortunately, the garden photos do not!! We chose the cottage because of the lovely garden but the photos give the wrong impression. It is really untidy with cobwebs and a good sweep needed. The fence , bench and table need repainting. It lacks a few cleaning products; i.e toilet duct.
We had a lovely week in a beautiful, comfortable location. This was our second time at this property and would certainly return in the future.
We stayed at High Barn with our grown up married daughters, our 1 year old grandson, and 3 dogs for a long weekend. Everything about this property is high quality - the furnishings, super comfy beds, hot tub, and the games room was a hit in the evenings (hopefully we weren’t too noisy)!! This barn is huge with plenty of room for the 6 of us and the dogs. Really well equipped kitchen, bits for the dogs and throws to put on the sofas, towels for the hot tubs - they seem to have thought of everything. There’s a great walk across the fields from the house and the dog friendly beaches are only a...more
Literally just returned from the most wonderful week at Periwinkle Cottage in one of the prettiest villages. Not only is it centrally located to the pub, shops and beach, it is the most homely, welcoming place we have stayed in for a long time. High-quality furnishings and bedding plus the quirky but fabulous wallpapers were to die for! The garden is safe for dogs/children and really a pleasant place to sit and relax. The owner is incredible responsive to any queries you may have too. We will definitely make a return visit there.
Had a fabulous stay at The White House. Greeted warmly by the owner who was very helpful during our stay. The White House is such a delightful and beautiful property, the house was really clean and very well equipped with extremely comfortable beds. It’s in a lovely spot, and the garden was brilliant for the dogs too, which all made for a very relaxing holiday. It’s in a convenient place for visiting lots of local beaches and other attractions with walks to Winterton from the door and I will certainly be recommending it to others.
The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we could ever need. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, and the dog beds, throws and of course the paddock were great for the dogs. One suggestion would be an extra freezer in the utility room for raw food, but the kitchen freezer was sufficient. We were nice and close to several beaches and other attractions, so well situated too. We had a lovely holiday at Carpenters shop.
After visiting friends in winterton & walking past Eva’s lookout, I booked for a bank holiday break, all booking with winterton cottages was easy & efficient, payments & queries answered promptly. The property was absolute bliss, from artwork/decor space & light, the perfect house for family to explore the area. We loved our experience so much we are planning our next trip back.
Very well equipped property, every you need, great views, lovely garden, right on beach, and good for dog walking.
Another lovely stay at Amity house, the house is modern, clean and has everything needed. It is in easy reach of everything Winterton has to offer.
We wanted a property that was suitable for a person with mobility issues and dogs, and Field barn “ticked the boxes”. Beautifully presented, and in a peaceful location but easily located for beaches, towns and things to do. But ideal for those also looking to switch off and relax. The amount and variation of birds that are around the property was lovely to watch in the garden as were the stunning sunsets. Although the kitchen is well equipped, It would have been good to have a couple more sauce pans and we took an air fryer as this is much easier than putting in hot weather. This would...more
We loved our stay at Mariner’s Way, good communication from owners Jane & Steve. Then when we walked in, excellent welcome pack and superb amenities, rooms and we loved their garden, so well laid out. We would highly recommend Mariner’s Way. Thank you.
As always nothing to complain about this lovely place, ideally situated in the centre of Winterton easy access to dunes & beach.
We enjoyed a very pleasant four night stay recently in this delightful property. Salty Dogs is equipped to the highest standard and is cosy and comfortable whilst also being dog-friendly. The village of Winterton ticks all the boxes too: excellent pub/restaurant, first class fish and chip shop and a small convenience store. We definitely hope to return. Note - the stairs are steep and narrow (and the bathroom is downstairs) so This would not be a good choice for anyone with mobility issues.
Winterton Cottages was recommended to me buy a previous customer. His recommendation was on point. Winterton is a picturesque village with everything you need for a short break. No. 2 Old Chapel Cottages was clean, cosy and just what we were looking for. It contained everything that we could of needed throughout our stay. There was lots of local information available as well as places of interest to vist. We had a lovely time. Thank you
The Cranny was lovely, to have your own garden to be able to chill after a day out. It was spotlessly clean and great location.
Cleveland House was a lovely spacious house ,perfect for a long weekend to get together with our grown up children. Pub literally 3mins walk and a beach perfect for dog walks within 15mins from property. 10 mins drive to see the seals and 20 mins to Yarmouth .
Had a great long weekend at Bulmer Cottage weather was lovely and the cottage was ready on arrival. Very comfortable and equipped. Dogs loved the courtyard garden. Was nice to be able to check out later on the Sunday so no rush to get away.
We had a lovely holiday here property was ideal for us 3 adults & 3 dogs. The garden was great fully enclosed with lots of seating. Parking a bit tight for a large car but can park outside on the road. Weather was excellent and we visited many places all very dog friendly. Quite a walk to Winterton beach now since the storm. Would definitely recommend Sunny View.
I was so pleased that we had booked Trinity Cottage. From the outside it has a real Barn look while inside it was spacious, clean and with the light flooding in from the large windows it welcomed you in. The kitchen was short of nothing if you wanted to prepare your own meals. The sofa were soft & comfortable allowing you to have a good read or watch the smart TV. The bed was very much to my liking on the firm side which after a number of walks in and around the village plus our regular route march from Winterton towards Sea Palling we slept very well. Trinity Cottage is a credit to the ow...more
Good location and well maintained with large garden. Everything you need in kitchen. $ adults may struggle forsake as bathroom not large. It is also expensive. Ideal for 2 adults out of season
The cottage was very nice. Had everything you required. The only complaint was the garden it’s a need of. General tidying up and weeding. The shower in the back bedroom couldn’t turn the hot cold water on so it was very hot otherwise a pleasant stay
A lovely comfortable bungalow in an excellent position for lovely beach walks and easy access to the local amenities of Winterton on Sea. It has a pretty rear garden that is fully enclosed by a high wall, which is ideal for the dogs. We appreciated the quietness of the bungalow and enjoyed evenings sitting in the garden. A very enjoyable stay, thank you.
Lovely cottage with a great sea view. Great garden for us and the dogs. Muntjac deer came to peer at us through the gate 3 consecutive days. Sea view had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Lots to visit around the area and of course great beaches. This was our second stay here and would stay again. .
Comfortable home from home. Quiet village with all we needed, good pub serving food. Excellent cafe Poppy's, adjoining the post office. Convenient 'corner shop'. Short walk to the beach through the dunes, or on the path/road through the village to a great beach cafe. The accommodation is looking a little tired in places, kitchen units and oven, washing machine and stair/landing carpet. A fan would be welcome in the extreme weather. But overall charming. Our second stay!
We have stayed in Winterton several times before but it was our first time at this cottage. It's a lovely little house and we felt very comfortable there and it has pretty much everything that you need. One thing that would have been helpful to have been made available was a roll of kitchen roll. I did try on two separate occasions, via Whatsapp, to contact Shelby, the person listed as the contact for the cottage. Firstly to say that in the online guide the WiFi details were missing - this problem was solved as the information missing from the guide was available to us at the cottage when...more
5th stay in this chalet Perfect seafront setting Fully equipped kitchen .Lots of dog amd children's toys Table and chairs outside perfect There is a windbreak provided. Tracy is great at communicating Perfect place for dogs amd children. There are steep inclines to and from beach .
The house is in a great location for the beach and amenities. The house is a good size for four people and two dogs with everything you need provided. The beds were comfortable as were the pillows. The house was tidy but parts could have been cleaned better but then I am very particular. The main down side was that when I booked the holiday it said it had a enclosed, gated court yard which was not the case on arrival as the gate was broken. This meant we had to be extra careful with the dogs. Great little cafe and fish and chip shop opposite the house. We had a lovely time.
We have recently returned from a fantastic 6 night stay at Winnie. The chalet is comfortable, clean & very well presented. Lovely pictures on the walls & accessories & we very quickly felt at home. Having use of the field directly outside was perfect, especially for our dog & the views over the fields to the horizon were beautiful. Plenty of wildlife visited the field, we saw deer, bats, squirrels, birds & butterflies during our stay. The dunes are just 3 minutes walk away, the same with the local village pub. We definitely want to return next year! Thank you to the owner for sharing this wond...more
Overall a lovely stay, bungalow is clean, spacious, well-equipped, in a quiet location close to amenities and dunes/ beach. Comfortable lounge with good TV and a second lounge which was nice to have the door open to garden and read. A useful garage area with work surfaces, ideal for dog bowls and food etc. Thank you for the welcome pack. We have given a rating of 3 for comfort as personally we found the king size bed, hard and uncomfortable and didn't sleep very well; personal preference as no one else giving a review has raised this! Bath towels good quality but small.
Perfect location and property, we loved our stay. Just a note of caution for dog owners - there are toxic plants in the garden including Foxgloves. We struggled with our young dogs, they are still chewing things they shouldn't!
First time in this accommodation at Hemsby. Very comfortable. Particularly enjoyed the private garden and plenty of seating options. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. The bathrooms were very clean and fresh. Plenty of crockery. Lots of containers/dishes. Juke box a great novelty. Plenty of parking. Two towels plus face cloth per guest - although the bath towels were rather small. Generous sized fridge/freezer. Found one bed with a 13.5 tog duvet, far too hot for the summer particularly with the summer we’ve been having. Lots of blankets/cushions everywhere and lots ...more
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grayling House - the location is excellent as within walking distance of the village and beach (although if you want to take chairs, etc. you would probably want to drive up). The upstairs terrace is a bonus when the weather is good - so lovely to sit amongst the trees. Recommend taking a trip on the Broads and also Ross’s wildlife boat trip from Martham.
Loved the location and being able to see the sea from the house and be on the beach in less than 5 minutes. Was great to see the seals on the beach, if you actually walked for about a mile you saw them all laid on the beach so no need to go to horsey gap! House was well equipped with all basic stuff provided! Will definitely return to Winterton on sea!
Excellent cottage to experience the dunes straight out of the back door, short walk to the beach and coastal path and seal view cafe. The cottage is very old and has obviously had a lot of attention to detail to bring it up to the standard required for a very comfortable holiday let. Just needs a little more tlc outside,it was lovely to soak up the sunshine in a lovely secluded secure dog friendly front garden. The owner was quick to respond to a missing coffee machine which was broken and had not been replaced but a new one was delivered the next day so well done Amazon! The cottage is a sho...more
Lovely and cosy thatched cottage, beautiful inside and out, very picturesque. Cottage was not as clean as our previous visit to another cottage in the village though. Quite a few dog hairs on the sofa and found random rubbish (juice bottles and sweet wrappers) in a couple of places. Missed having a toilet upstairs.
This was our second stay at Sanderlings. We love the style of the house with its mid century interior. The garden is enclosed, perfect for dogs.
A beautiful thatched cottage in a prime location, opposite the dog friendly village pub, that has been extended to provide a lovely restaurant, without losing the old part of the pub, all being dog friendly. The fish and chip shop, post office, cafe and convenience store are around the corner. ( Check fish and chip shop opening hours ) The dunes and beach are in walking distance, but a car park is also available at the Dunes cafe area, these cafes provide a good assortment of menus and drinks. The cottage is very clean and provides anything you would need. It is obviously the owners pri...more
