We had a wonderful Christmas at Rosehearty. The house is so well equipped with more than you can ever need I felt at home when I stepped through the door. Amazing views from the house and garden, steps to the dunes are steep but manageable. It is a 10–15 minute stroll into the village either along the dunes or the byway leading to The Hollway. It was lovely to see the seals and their pups on the beach and Interesse sand dunes. If I were to sum up our stay in the words it would be, Excellent, Outstanding, Superb.

The cottage is spacious, clean and warm with a sea view from huge patio doors at the back.
Steps down to the sand dunes from end of garden are a bit rickety and steep so we used alterative public steps just a few yards away. They are still quite steep but sturdy.
Well worth the effort as the dunes provide a wonderful walk. You can walk across to the beach in about 5 to 10 minutes. There are many well worn paths up over the dunes. The beach is sandy and perfect for walking.
We went in late November and on a fairly breezy day we walked along the beach and were joined by seals swimming near the shore and having fun. Some even came onto the beach. Fantastic as long as you keep your distance.
We also visited Horsey Gap to see the baby seals.
The cottage has everything you need and we made the most of the comfort and splendid views by eating in every day. No desire to go elsewhere.
Large fridge freezer and a double oven and microwave made everything easy.
In the summer the garden will be perfect for barbecues. Even in November we managed to sit at the end of the garden with a cup of tea and enjoy the view in the sunshine.
We arrived early so we had lunch at Seal View cafe at the beach car park. Good quality food if you want a snack after a walk.
Thoroughly recommend the cottage and location for a relaxing holiday with walks from the door.
