Kinnaird Estate situated amid dramatic scenery in Highland Perthshire offers a range of attractive self-catering cottages and farmhouses, sleeping from 2 to 8 people each with its own unique character.
Absolutely lovely holiday on the banks of the River Tay. Kinnaird estate is perfectly located and Brandoch Lodge is a beautiful place to stay. Suited all the family from grandparents down to toddlers, we had a great time. I must also say what a pleasure it was to fish with head ghillie, Martin Edgar, he was a charming host and gave us a great experience on the river.
We have just returned from a long weekend at Heron Cottage and have had an amazing time. The cottage makes you feel as though you are in the middle of nowhere, yet it is close to excellent restaurants and amenities. It is surrounded by stunning scenery with wildlife literally on your doorstep, equipped to a very high standard, well maintained and spotlessly clean We have come home feeling totally refreshed and relaxed. We even managed to catch a few trout in the mountain loch, Millpond. What a bonus!
Kingfisher Cottage was a lovely light and airy modern cottage but built in an traditional style. The double glazing and central heating (plus a wood-burner for atmosphere) made for a warm and comfortable refuge from the gales and sleet which howled around us over the Easter week-end. It was scrupulously clean and well-equipped with quality kitchen-ware and utensils, even a Nespresso coffee machine; the gas-fired BBQ even had its own set of clean tools. The two armchairs in the living 'room' looked in-keeping with the cottage (and were comfortable), the sofa less so.

We honestly cannot say enough good things about this beautiful cottage. So cosy and comfortable, with all home comforts. The most amazing thing is the location!!! Just perfect. We saw so much wildlife…great crested grebe, osprey, and a whole family of beavers playing in the river. Ducks in the garden every day.
It is honestly like a little slice of heaven! Sandra in the estate offices was so helpful and lovely throughout and Ghillie Martin such a nice gentleman.
Definitely recommend and will certainly be back!!
This is our third visit to Jock Scott and it doesn’t disappoint. It was a shame that the road was closed near the cottage which meant slight detours. Lovely accommodation in lovely surroundings. We will be back in the future.
We liked Castle Perroch very much as it is. But it could be a real gem, with the „right “ furniture and interior. Matching sofas for example, perhaps in a nice tartan tweed and matching curtains. Some nice antik chairs to go with the lovely antik table.
A four-poster bed in the master bedroom? The mattress there should be renwed anyway.
Some nice lamps in the livingroom windows? We saw several in The House of Bruar, which would have been great in the Castle!
One would expect a Castle to be furnished a bit like a Castle
Just some suggestions.
