Had a lovely time in this beautiful cottage over easter would highly recommend staying here we drove out to different places and not too far from the cottage just the little touches made it lovely the home baked cookies and hamper and fresh flowers in the rooms will definitely stay again Regards Mrs Leyland
Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. The decour in the cottage is lovely, it has everything you could possibly need and the log burner keeps you warm and cozy after a day walking in the hills.
Ruskin View is a delightful house set just off the main street but manages to be quiet except for the birds and the church bells - what could be more relaxing? The house is clean, modern, well equipped, warm and very comfortable. The view, across the owners' garden, is stunning. So thank you Neil and Jill for being such good hosts.
We had a short break prior to the mad Christmas period, and this was the perfect place for our little family of three (but the house would accommodate up to eight). Our 17 month old son had plenty of space to practice his walking skills, and we felt completely relaxed in the knowledge that it was a safe and clean, and beautifully appointed house. Really well located for the town- we had a great walk along the river and up the ‘Radical steps’ to Ruskin’s View- stunning. And, a superb lunch in the Sun Inn. All round, excellent. We will return.
This stunning cottage is equipped with everything you could need. We were lucky enough to have lovely weather and enjoyed making use of the beautiful garden. The owners next door made us feel extremely welcome and were on hand if we needed anything. We were also made to feel very welcome by locals and the staff and the Barbon Inn (great home cooked food). We would definitely recommend this cottage and will be returning.
This is the second property we have stayed in from the Mill House Cottage collection and, yet again, we were very happy.
We had an amazing romantic weekend with amazing views , the cottage was clean and everything was so perfect ....We will definitely come back soon

Great couple of days at this super property Weather was excellent and we enjoyed great walks in the area. The hot tub was a wonderful addition to the property. Great place to relax and enjoy the views after a days walk The Pavilion is well kitted out. We loved the walk in shower room and four poster bed. Sadly it was too warm to light the log burner !
The location of Mill Cottage is absolutely stunning and the cottage itself is well pointed and well maintained. It's such a great getaway - so peaceful and relaxing. We had a great time there and look forward to returning.
Our cottage was absolutely lovely - it was just the right size for us, 1 child and our dog. Situated in a quiet spot over looking the church, but very central with lots of independent shops, bars and restaurants just around the corner. A short walk across the church yard takes you to a lovely walk along the river which was perfect for the dog and a bit of paddling. Kirby Lonsdale is beautiful and most of the shops, bars and restaurants were dog and family friendly. We took a couple trips out to some of the Lake District villages which are not far away. Stephen and Julie were very helpful, ...more
An amazing little cottage with lovely views. Lovely bottle of wine and cake when we arrived. Great little garden next to the house with table and chairs. Would defiantly recommend for a little weekend away.
We enjoyed a lovely stay in Settlebeck Cottage. It is full of character and cosy. Perfect base to explore The Yorkshire Dales where we enjoyed some great walking. We recommend The Dalesman, Black Bull and Three Hares Cafe for eating out in Sedbergh
We had a great time, the weather was amazing, we walked the 3 peaks and my husband introduced us all to mountain biking! The house was lovely, we couldn't fault it, loved the decor and all the bathrooms. The hand soap smelt gorgeous. The location was just brilliant, great for all our walking. We had some great meals out too in the local pubs, with a quiz night thrown in too and on the last night walked from the house to the local pub and back in the dark by torchlight through the sheep which was very funny after a few gin and tonics! Would definitely recommend this house to friends and hopeful...more
We chose to stay at Le Bastidou with friends to celebrate an important birthday milestone. We were blown away by the house, its location and the amazing Fred and Sophie. The house is beautifully presented with everything you could possibly need and despite our October arrival, the weather was outstanding so we could enjoy the BBQ, pool and outdoor space to its full potential. We will certainly return. Thank you so much !
We enjoyed a wonderful Spring break at The Paddock which was immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. Highly recommended. Thank you for an excellent stay
Fabulous position on the side of the loch. There really are magnificent views of the loch from every room in the house. Immaculately clean and stylish. Loved walking down to the beach every morning. Skye Fall will be even better when the hotel in the village re-opens . The restaurant promises to be fantastic.
