Bective House was perfect for our week's holiday in Kirkby Lonsdale. We are a couple with a small dog and the space was more than suitable for our needs. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and accessories, and the sitting room was very comfortable and a lovely space to relax after a day's walking. It was immaculately clean and well furnished. Despite being a mid terrace, the house is very quiet having been built from stone and there is no noise from the properties either side. The showers had very good water pressure, the stove and oven were easy to navigate, the outside space, whilst very small, was nice to open the french doors onto. The house itself had a calm vibe.

Our only gripe was the parking. Whilst there is a parking permit offered with the property, the spaces available to park in are limited and it was all but impossible to get a parking space outside the house. There is a car park across the way which offers 3 and 7 day parking for a very reasonable charge. If this could have been conveyed with the house information before arrival, it would have made things easier. It's only a 2 minute walk, if that, back to the property. Whilst not secure it is completely safe and way easier than trying to find a parking space in Zone A. I believe if you are taking more than one car, this option is offered but I think it would be helpful if it was offered regardless of number of cars. The parking didn't affect our enjoyment of Bective House and we would have no hesitation in booking the property again in the future.

What a gorgeous property in the most perfect, central location.
The kitchen area was wonderful, everything we needed and the access to the outside area was great and particularly with the good weather we had.
I only realised on the 3rd day the TV in the front room could be pulled out and angled so the people on the sofa against the wall could see it! We had been angling our heads prior, our fault.
Beds were so comfy, loved the bedding and pillows, shower on middle floor was stunning.

Few constructive points:
Front door handle was hard to turn and open.
The children's room seems a waste of space, you should just put a full length single bed in to make it a useful space, it could have been then used.
Heater in living room didn't work, but we used the fire
We would most certainly return.
The added extras of wine and cookies were much appreciated.

We enjoyed a long Easter weekend at this wonderful property. It sleeps 6 adults in style plus the child's bedroom would be a great addition for any toddlers/babies. The small patio area at the back gets the sun from midday until late so is perfect for relaxing after your day out. The house was incredibly well stocked with everything you needed. Its best feature was undoubtedly the location - park your car and just enjoying walking around to shops, bars and great restaurants. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
