We stayed at The Stables at Casterton Grange for 7 nights over Christmas and had a wonderful, relaxing break. From the moment we arrived, the festive touches made it feel really special.The beautiful red bow outside was stunning, and inside there was a real Christmas tree, which created such a cosy, welcoming atmosphere.
The accommodation itself was excellent: clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. We especially enjoyed using the hot tub, which was perfect for unwinding, particularly in such a peaceful and quiet location.
The setting is ideal in tranquil countryside, yet only a short walk to the local pub and a short drive to Kirkby Lonsdale, which was a real bonus. The hosts were extremely welcoming, and communication from Patrick was excellent throughout, making everything easy from booking to departure.
A lovely extra touch was the generous welcome pack, including food, wine, and champagne, which was very much appreciated and made our stay feel extra special.
Overall, a fantastic place to stay, relaxing, festive, and thoughtfully hosted. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would highly recommend The Stables at Casterton Grange to others.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Stables. Kirkby Lonsdale is two minutes away and has everything you need, good butcher, bakery and green grocer. Ideally located for outdoors exploring with an endless supply of walking and biking routes either from the door step or by car. Very well looked after by the hosts Anneka & Patrick, would really recommend without doubt.
