We stayed in two different apartments (Norwick and Tresta) for 3 nights for a work trip. The self-check-in was extremely easy and very well explained prior to our arrival. The location is excellent, within walkable distance to anywhere in Lerwick, and there is a good pub (Douglas Arms/Marlex), coffee shop (Showa) and bar/cinema (Mareel) very close. It is also within walking distance of a convenience store and a Co-op. Although the street outside was busy, we managed to get a parking space directly outside every time, and the surrounding area was very quiet.
Both apartments were very nicely furnished and unbelievably clean. Quite possibly the cleanest apartments I've ever stayed in! The showers had decent pressure and were exceptionally large. There were ample towels, toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, etc., and even milk and tea/coffee supplied. The only thing we bought for the apartment was some cooking oil. The beds and towels were clearly freshly laundered and smelled wonderful. I really appreciated all the little touches (basket and order form in case we needed anything additional, little sheep sticker on the toilet roll, magnifying mirror in the bathroom, tartan Shetland wool bed runner and cushions, night lights...).
Norwick, in particular, had the comfiest beds! The mattress, pillows and quilts were unbelievably comfortable; we slept incredibly well! It is also an excellent layout for people sharing who are not family as the two bedrooms are a decent distance apart with the living room in between, so it feels like you have your own little area.
We also briefly met the owner outside a couple of times, and she was a delight! We all agreed that we will certainly stay in one of these apartments any time we are visiting Shetland and I have told my friends who live there to recommend them to any of their visitors!

It was lovely to stay in this modern apartment in the centre of Lerwick (but with free parking normally available on the street).
It was also great that it was offered as a serviced property - there was a card to leave outside the door overnight if anything was needed.
The bathrooms were superb: everything seemed to be brand new with very spacious showers. The kitchen area was pretty generous for a holiday property with very good appliances. Good quality crockery and cutlery were provided (although the table mats and coasters could do with replacing).
Space was a bit tighter in the living area and bedrooms. We wanted to use the table for meals which meant moving an easy chair out of the way, but even so the style of folding dining chairs wasn't very comfortable to use. One of the bedrooms only has a small window in the corner and no wardrobe space was available in either bedroom - just some hangers on open racks.
But these are minor points and as were were just staying as a couple: there was more than ample space for two of us. We would certainly look to stay at NortBode again if we return to Lerwick.

Coming to the end of a long trip away we had forgotten the finer details of the booking at Norwick but we’re very happy with our choice! Super clean, updated with all the mod cons. Lovely comfy beds, new linens and pillows.
Everything we could possibly need was there for us. Walking distance to the centre of town, short drive to the supermarket. Simple, clear instructions for access, OSP at the door.

Very pleasant surprise when we opened the door to the apartment. Had everything we needed plus. Two double bedrooms separated by some steps giving a greater sense of privacy between couples. Comfortable bed. Only minor negative was for me personally I prefer thicker pillows and was unable to find spare.

Excellent fitted kitchen with oven, induction hob, fridge, washer/dryer and dishwasher, complete with crockery, utensils, pans, etc. Bedroom with king-size bed and adjacent main bathroom, located next to lounge/kitchen and second bedroom with double bed down a few steps, with ensuite bathroom. Good location in Lerwick, 1st floor flat just off main roads so quiet location. Excellent flat with high standard of fittings.
Just a few comments, flat was very warm so we were all suffering from heat, not a problem that we thought we would have in shetland, windows where not easily opened especially in lounge/kitchen area Dining table was a pull out affair with very uncomfortable folding chairs. There was a desk in sitting area which was not needed a more practical solution could have been a better table with benches which could then be used for dining and as a desk. Down stairs bedroom had no storage facilities, mattress on bed was very soft , maybe a slightly firm one would be more suitable.
Apart from these issues apartment gives the facilities of a hotel with the space of self catering accommodation., even through these difficult covid times.

Excellent location with good space within the flat. I always found a parking space outside the flat, though wondered how it would be in a non pandemic period. One doesn’t feel cramped. The windows let in plenty of light . The entrance hallway is clean and tidy and the staff are lovely. It was very easy indeed to work the two entrance points. The booking was made very easily and clearly which isn’t often the case with holiday lets. I appreciated that I could book for a number of nights within the week, rather than be nailed to certain days within a seven day period.

This was our second stay in Nortbode Apartments and will not be our last. The apartment is extremely we'll equipped with extras not normally provided in self catering accomodation eg tea,coffe, washing up liquid. We had requested an early check in time and while this was difficult for them they went out of their way to make it possible.

Everything has been thought of for a very comfortable stay, including washing powder, ironing board and fresh milk for a cuppa. Great location to walk down to the harbour.

We had a fabulous stay, the apartment is luxurious and so handy for everything. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds.

We stayed for Up Helly Aa, arriving the weekend before and leaving several days later. The directions and information on how to access the flat were sent before we arrived and were very clear. The flat was ready when we asked for it, even though it was slightly before the normal check in time. There was tea and coffee, as well as a small pint of milk, for us.
Before arrival, they asked us if we needed twin beds or one king bed. Everything was made up when we arrived. The flat was a nice warm temperature too (important in January). We had a bit of trouble finding the sofa bed bedding - the note said it was under the main bed, which we assumed was the king bed as we couldn't figure out how to get under the double bed... so we asked the staff and they came up with us to show us how to get under the double bed.
Bathroom was clean, towels replaced as we needed, and good water pressure in the showers.
We hired a car as well, and never had any trouble finding parking on the streets. The location couldn't have been more perfect... the flat is practically on the corner by the burning ground for the fire festival and just five minutes walk from the centre of Lerwick. We walked into town almost every day. The grocery store is about a ten minute drive, though there is a smaller one closer.
Overall a wonderful stay, would definitely stay here again!

Norwick apartment is modern, spacious and spotless. Great location in the middle of town. There are two really nice bedrooms and high quality sofa bed in the living room.
