This property was not bad but not great either.
Good points.
1. Well located and good easy parking.
2. Clean
Not so good.
1. The sitting/eating/kitchen area was a bit of a joke. Much too small and cramped with very uncomfortable furnishings.
2. Bedding needs improving. The pillows for example had seen better days.
This probably should have been a one bedroom apartment which would have allowed for a better kitchen eating area and separate living area.

Thank you to Dawn and the Team for a comfortable stay in Lerwick. We had a great time travelling around Shetland. Tresta was the perfect apartment for our stay and had everything we needed. On Street free parking was always available out the front. As an aside, I do recommend that travellers should pre-book restaurants, something we weren’t aware of.

We stayed in two different apartments (Norwick and Tresta) for 3 nights for a work trip. The self-check-in was extremely easy and very well explained prior to our arrival. The location is excellent, within walkable distance to anywhere in Lerwick, and there is a good pub (Douglas Arms/Marlex), coffee shop (Showa) and bar/cinema (Mareel) very close. It is also within walking distance of a convenience store and a Co-op. Although the street outside was busy, we managed to get a parking space directly outside every time and the surrounding area was very quiet.
Both apartments were very nicely furnished and unbelievably clean. Quite possibly the cleanest apartments I've ever stayed in! The showers had decent pressure and were exceptionally large. There were ample towels, toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, etc., and even milk and tea/coffee supplied. The only thing we bought for the apartment was some cooking oil. The beds and towels were clearly freshly laundered and smelled wonderful. I really appreciated all the little touches (basket and order form in case we needed anything additional, little sheep sticker on the toilet roll, magnifying mirror in the bathroom, tartan Shetland wool bed runner and cushions, night lights...).
Tresta, in particular, had a lovely kitchen/sitting room, and one of the bedrooms is very spacious, with a writing desk, ideal for working. It is also on the ground floor, so it is ideal if you have mobility issues or particularly heavy cases!
We also briefly met the owner outside a couple of times, and she was a delight! We all agreed that we will certainly stay in one of these apartments any time we are visiting Shetland and I have told my friends who live there to recommend them to any of their visitors!

This is a lovely clean apartment and and in a wonderful location to walk into and around Lerwick.
We arrived before the stated check in time to drop our bags off , but the lady could not have been more helpful and told us the flat was ready and showed us round.
These are serviced apartments, so there is housekeeping if you desire.
There was tea, coffee and milk and an easy system to order more.
I would definitely recommend staying here, and would definitely return

Stayed in Tresta 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. It was fantastic. Great location. Super clean, comfortable beds, hot water. We stay away many times a year and this is right up there. It has all those things we miss so often - like a hook behind the door, a knife sharpener, basket in the shower, plugs etc. Our only observation is that my 6'4" husband kept on connecting his head with the corners of the extractor fan. Would absolutely come back and do recommend.

The only fault I could find is that you are only allowed in the apartment at 3pm and you have to be out at 10am. So this doesn’t give you much time. I also realise you need to get the apartment ready for the next customer, but when you are just staying one night, it just seems a bit short.

Tresta is comfortable and clean and is in a central location for exploring the town and the Shetland mainland.
Access is easy via the code numbers sent in advance. The living/kitchen area is small but comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped.
Beds are very comfortable and showers/bathrooms are excellent.
Overall the place is clean, quiet and secure. The staff don’t come into the apartment but there is an efficient system to replenish items needed and staff were friendly and helpful. We reported an issue with hot water on one morning and it was fixed very quickly.
There was always a parking space available on the street outside.
Overall I would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Lerwick.

The Nort Bode is a collection of individual apartments and no matter what one you get you will not be disappointed. I have stayed many times and have now been in a few different rooms . The apartments have everything you need, from comfy sofas, great WiFi,, large smart TV, the bathrooms a great standard and comfy beds... the communication between booking and arriving very informative and easy... don't all start booking though,leave a room for me!!!

The apartment was very well appointed with everything we needed. We were just two so had plenty of room and 3 TVs to choose from! The decor is clean and simple, very modern and calm. Lovely showers with locally produced soaps and fluffy towels.
The location could not be better, in a quiet street with plenty of parking but near to the shops and harbour.
Dawn is a hard working, charming and positive owner, who is on site most days but is careful not to disturb residents. The Covid arrangements are very sensible, so you can leave a message re supplies needed rather than the apartment being serviced daily.

The photos are a bit misleading. The lounge / kitchen area is very small. I had my sister round for dinner but had to have a major reshuffle of sofas, small table etc to make room for the dining table.
No bedside table in one of the bedrooms means nowhere to place mobile phone etc overnight.
However, the house was very clean and service was good but lounge area too small for us.
Not really worth the nightly rate of £110.
Also, not keen on street parking as road was very busy and difficult to park at times.

The flat was spotlessly clean and tidy. Fixtures and fittings are new and of good quality. The kitchen area is equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay. If there is anything you want, just ask and it will be supplied. There is a television in both bedrooms and also in the seating/kitchen area. This is a new Smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime available (if you have your own account of course). Free wi-fi is included. The property is very secure with limited opening, lockable windows and PIN code access to both the close and the flat itself. For safety there are several very loud smoke detectors fitted, as you will find out when you burn the toast! There is plenty of free on street parking right outside. The owner is very easy to deal with and quick to respond to queries. I can't really talk about any negatives because I couldn't find any.

This is a fantastic apartment in a small block in central Lerwick. It couldn’t be more convenient, just 5 minutes from the High Street.
The apartment was spotless and well equipped and it was a really welcome surprise to have tea and coffee and milk waiting in the fridge.
The apartment was serviced as often as we wanted and we found the owner really helpful, even extending our booking as we had mixed up our return dates. Definitely somewhere we we would return too.

A makeup mirror would be really helpful and better quality pillows would have improved comfort. For an extra charge the option of having eggs supplied would have been nice. For Americans, instructions for operating the washing machine would be great. The shower floor was really slippery. The mat was helpful but still an issue. We really enjoyed our weekend stay in Tresta, it was very clean and comfortable. The service was excellent, with everything you would expect to be provided in an apartment and more. Also great value and central location. We look forward to staying again.

Excellent and very comfortable, would highly recommend. Took my uncle back to his roots to relive some old memories and did the trick. Thank you for a comfortable stay, not to mention the disabled friendly accommodation.

This was simply the best accommodation that our party of 4 stayed in during 3 weeks spent touring the Scottish islands. It was not the cheapest, but worth every penny. Stunning location as part of Lews castle in Stornaway - great views - surrounded by beautiful and extensive parklands - loads of car space - excellent cafe near at hand with high standard cooking and fresh ingredients - and an easy 10 minute walk into town. As for the apartment, it was spacious, gracious, in pristine condition, tastefully decorated and furnished, and wonderfully well fitted out with everything we could possible need. Friendly helpful staff. Great heritage atmosphere. I would happily spend a month there!

The apartment is very clean, quiet and fully equipped .The Appliances are kept well just like they never been used. the apartment close to the bus station and shop. In a word, a fantastic apartment.

I stayed in Tresta, one of the ground floor apartments, for a few days, when in Shetland working. As other reviewers have said, the apartment was very comfortable and has been refurnished to a high standard. The owners have thought of everything. I loved that a pin code was sent to me so I could get access to the apartment without having to meet up with anyone and thereafter access was with a key-card; so handy. Wifi was strong (not always the position in Shetland), but essential in this day and age and if you are staying on business. Nice too having the apartment serviced every day if you want.
For smokers, a handy covered smoking shelter was provided in the back decked garden area.

The flat was impecable, everything looked brand new and it was cleaned and serviced daily. It was also fully equipped, we had everything we needed and more. On arrival we had some milk in the fridge, shortbread, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The last 3 were replaced daily, as well as the detergent for the washing machine/dish washer. The customer service was fantastic. We didn't actually have enquiries as everything worked like clockwork, but we arrived to Shetland a couple of hours ahead of time, after a very long trip, and they managed to have the place ready before check in time so we didn't have to wonder about with 3 very tired little girls. Walking distance to a park which is very handy if you have children, and really close to Tesco and the centre of Lerwick. The flat has a smart TV in the living room, so we could connect to our Netflix/Amazon accounts to unwind at night time. Can't recommend it enough.

We had a wonderful stay at the Tresta apartment. Just walking into the enterence of the building was lovely for the fragrance of lavender. The apartment is fully kitted out for everything you could need, right down to a vegetable peeler! Lovely local Shetland soap company soap is used in the bathroom and smells great. The lounge furniture is just perfect, really comfortable couch and chair. Kitchen has all new and modern appliances. You don’t have to bring a thing to stay here for weeks. The bed is very comfortable and has lovely wool pillows and wool throw that look locally made. The art is b&w pictures of life on Shetland and scenery, My husband is handicapped and uses a wheelchair and this apartment was perfect for him. Entering and exiting and turning around is not a problem. The shower is big and they placed a shower seat there for him, so perfect for someone with limited mobility. The apartment is located just walking distances from the high street, museum. Easy access to main roads leading out to all the attractions on Shetland. Street parking was easy, never had a problem. We loved our stay and would stay here again in a heartbeat. It’s better then our home back in Fife!
