My wife and I and one of our daughters stayed in Barley End ... my other daughter and the grandchildren stayed in a tent on the campsite ... this worked out quite well for us as a family ... the whole site was very well organised and the staff were all very helpful ... Various catering vans visiting the site were also a welcome addition to the facilities and there were many interesting places to explore in the locality

A few problems at first, shower, tank overflow.
This was sorted out very quickly.
This did not put us off, we have booked August and December.

As usual very clean and comfortable
Although missing the eggs. Poor old chicks.
Heating a bit unusual not sure that room temperatures were accurate as showed 29 degrees in bathroom when it definately wasn't.

This was our second stay at Barley End and was made even better by the wonderful weather we enjoyed! So comfortable and what a location!!! We recently stayed at Town Farm in Barley End for 6 weeks. We arrived just after lambing and spring had sprung! Barley End was ideal for us. It provided room for us as a home away from home. The rooms are a brilliant size with all you need adequately provided for.
Angie and her team were fantastic and helped us settle in. The Grandchildren loved the new play area!

We have just left Barley End after seven weeks living in an oasis of calm and beauty. Lucky us as we will return soon. There is nothing we don’t like about Barley End at Town Farm. We enjoyed every day in spite of some extreme weather and we’re very cosy in our cottage.

We hired Barley end for 5 months whilst our renovation of our house was taking place. Angie, Charles, Will and George are a lovely family who you see and talk to regularly. They are friendly and attentive to your needs and accommodating to your requests especially around pets. The location with its hills is beautiful and you can walk across the farming fields to the nearby pub in Ivinghoe. Barley End was ideal for our needs in terms of size and facilities, they also let us house our BBQ at the pub where there is a private space to enjoy.

Absolutely spotless and spacious accommodation and everything you could possibly need... Dishwasher, washing machine/tumble dryer, fridge freezer, iron, hairdryer, microwave etc etc. Nice quality furniture too. "Barley End" where we stayed has a lovely sunny patio out the back and parking for at least two cars at the front. Large double bedroom and even the single room was more than spacious. Selection of other cottages available from Studios to 3 beds. Very popular as we found out when we asked about future availability.

Obviously a very rural location being a farm, but Tring is a little over 5 minutes away by car, Berkhamsted is about 15 minutes and Aylesbury about half an hour.

Barley End was pleasantly spacious, very clean and benefitted from having been refurbished in recent times. The bedrooms were both of good size and there was excellent wardrobe and drawer storage space for clothes and even better was how comfortable the large bed was.. The shower room had been refurbished and was of a high standard with a pleasantly powerful shower.. The Lounge had a modern good sized flat screen tv and a comfortable corner sofa unit. The kitchen/ dining area was attractively fitted with a full range of appliances. There is also a small paved courtyard to the rear with an outside table/ sitting area. Whilst fairly private you can't see much of the stunning countryside views from here though. There is parking immediately to the front of the property
Whilst Barley End is one of a number of barn conversion properties around a central courtyard we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet and peaceful it was. Along with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff the most stunning thing was the situation. There are glorious and far reaching countryside views to all aspects and lovely countryside walks including a pretty half a mile walk to a very pleasant village pub. Within the farm there are play areas, a games room and a tennis court

Once again stopped at Barley End and as always everything was 100% satisfactory - a slight understatement I must admit as really I cannot think how it could have been better. Have stopped in various other properties at the farm (this was possibly 4th or 5th visit) and have found all the accommodation up to the same high standards as Barley End.
I am already in process of booking a break for early next year at hopefully Barley End. Everything you could possibly require is supplied in Barley End so just arrive and enjoy.

Cottage was spotlessly clean, well equipped and was very comfortable. Fresh eggs and cake was a pleasant welcome. The owners were keen to sort out minor issues and provided extra towels and a hairdryer on request. Our dogs loved the open fields. It was easy to get to local places. We had a lovely stay and are coming back later this year.

After a long journey back from Australia, we were pleased to book into this very picturesque location in the heart of the Chiltern Hills. A warm welcome of homemade carrot cake greeted us a nice touch. Everything we needed and comfortable beds. They were particularly helpful in moving our booking when our flights got cancelled. If you love walking and nature, our beautiful English countryside and nearby villages and towns then this is a lovely place to stay.

We stayed at town farm from 7th January until the 24th February 2020. We stayed as we were having renovations on our home and Town farm was ideally placed for work and visiting our home during the renovations.
We stayed in 3 different holiday cottages during our time at the farm due to availability. Town end, Town farm cottage and Barley end.
The views of the countryside and Ivinghoe beacon are stunning with some lovely walks and open fields, our Labrador had a great time.
The properties are well maintained and the customer service is excellent. All properties were warm and well appointed withgood quality cooking , washing facilities. and Wi-Fi.
We would recommend to anyone considering staying here for a holiday or a short term let.
Thank you to the team at town farm for making our stay stress free.

We arrived from South Africa not knowing quite what to expect. We were blown away by Town Farm; it surpassed our expectations. Barley End was way more spacious than we expected. After a month's stay, we were starting to feel like it was home. The management team were professional, friendly and eager to assist where and whenever they could. It was truly a lovely experience and we highly recommend Town Farm to anyone wanting to get out and experience the Chilterns.

Town Farm cottages are situated in an ideal location (Chilterns) for a UK holiday. It is convenient for us as we have extended family who all live within an hour's car drive of Ivinghoe. The property is literally a home from home as everything that may be required is supplied from washing machine & dishwasher to linen & bedding. This particular property would also be ideal for a person of limited mobility as there is a massive walk in shower plus access via a ramp to a garden area complete with picnic table. Cleanliness of property is 100% and everyone who is involved in Farm Cottages could not be more pleasant and helpful, maybe a cliche but they feel more like friends than proprietors of the property.

We love staying at Town Farm Cottages because everything is always done to make sure that you have the best time. Angie and her team in the Office are always there to ensure that you enjoy your stay. We did have an issue with poor internet and they did everything in their power to resolve it.

You can park your car right outside the property so loading and unloading is quick and easy.

We are regular visitors to Town Farm Cottages and will be returning yet again in December and no doubt for years to come.

The surrounding countryside is delightful so no wonder people return year after year.

Spent a wonderful few days in this lovely accommodation. It was spotlessly clean and the decor and furnishings were to a high standard. The kitchen was equipped with all we needed and there was a welcome gift of a jug of milk and delicious cake left for us which was a lovely touch. The bedrooms were very spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom has safety rails which my elderly nan found very helpful but she remarked on how it didn’t make it feel “disabled” which she was impressed with! Barley end was cosy but spacious, we had the loveliest time here and will definitely be back again! The surroundings are stunning, close by to many different things to do and a walkers paradise! Booking, communication and check in were speedy and efficiently done by email and when on site there was always someone on hand to help in the office. We would highly recommend Barley End/Town Farm to anyone and will most certainly be back!

I stayed at Town Farm for a total of 6 weeks. I stayed at both Barley Cottage and The Egg Room and both places were fantastic. Clean and well presented all within a beautiful rural location with amazing scenery all around. The staff are very responsive and extremely friendly and helpful. We have recently enjoyed a six week stay in Barley End Cottage, Town Farm, Ivinghoe. The cottage itself was lovely, furnished beautifully and extremely well equipped. It was like a home from home. I have to say the bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable and luxurious which is really important when staying somewhere for a long period of time. Nothing worse than an uncomfortable bed! Certainly not the case here. The surrounding area is beautiful with a friendly local pub in walking distance serving good food which is a bonus. Tring station is only a 7 minute drive away which is handy. The staff at Town Farm are lovely. Always friendly and helpful when I needed to ask anything and nothing was too much trouble. Such a well run business and very popular as well as all the cottages seemed to be busy. Will definitely stay again and would highly recommend Town Farm as you won't be disappointed. Keep up the excellent work!

But where are the ducks?

The cottage is just the right size for us. The bathroom was terrific; showering in a bathtub is not ideal for elderly folk like us! The unit was adequately equipped and very comfortable. We appreciated the weekly change of linen.

For around 10 years we have booking accommodation through Let's Unlimited and in that time have stayed in cottages in Wiggington and Hastoe. The area is close to Wendover, where our daughter lives. We thought that Ivinghoe would be further away; but not so. The drive was only 20 minutes, not the 30 minutes from our previous cottages.

And of course, we continued to be close to Waitrose and Waterstones in Berkemstead. Important!

All the ''barn conversion' units are comfortable, convenient, well appointed and very well managed. Town Farm is an ideal location for a stay in the country, for hikers, and for people attending functions in the area. Very well managed with friendly helpful staff.
