Here are a few suggestions for management to consider, intended to make clients' future stays even nicer
Basically v good.
A washing machine would be appreciated
The Kitchen needs full sets of cups, glasses, plates & cutlery.
WiFi terrible, (and notably worse even than that in the tree house in 2023).
Wet room would benefit from a squeegee, so that we could wipe the floor.
Maybe something like this?
Shower Scraper with long handle, CLEANHOME Professional Water Squeegee，adjustable and removable (53 inches), can clean water, pet hair, good helper ...
Beach is lovely,
but Walking to beach less so.
Path beyond alpacas' shed is overgrown, over-narrow in parts & made worse by barbed wire on top of fence ( a Health & Safety issue...?).
We hope some of those comments are helpful.
Overall, it was a really lovely week.

We booked the house for the weekend for a family of 6 adults and 1 infant to attend a wedding at a nearby venue. The house met our needs and had all the amenities required. There was a lot of cobwebs in the property but was generally clean. Wifi was poor. We didnt use the honesty shop, but it had most things you would need for a stay and was fairly priced.
2 options for access roads, but the one that came by the tree houses was in poor condition after the tree houses and only passable with an SUV.

The cottage was a lovely place for the bridal party to get ready before our wedding in the woodlands. The rooms were spacious and practical. The only improvements that could be made was there is no travel cot provided when requested and the beds were too small

Have stayed before for a wedding and decided to return for a special family occasion. The cottage is so well planned out, great space, 3 bathrooms, good social area for eating and drinking in. Quality of furnishings and equipment great. Beautiful views. New addition to the property of a wooden sauna.
Great for beach walks, woodland walks, cycling, running, relaxing...
On site barbecue stations, outdoor furniture and a range of wildlife to appreciate as you watch the day go by. Herds of deer, hares, game birds, goats, alpacas, horses, hens - so many things to enjoy seeing.
Well served by great restaurants and leisure activities in North Berwick. Not far from Tantallon Castle. Quaint pubs/places to eat in Tyninghame and East Linton.

We have stayed in many cottages in UK over the years. This one is one of the best. Just short of perfection-few tiny details would make it a 5+ Stars.
Tips for 5/6 Stars perfection:
-update the contact details for people who look after the cottage
-arrange the time for people who view the cottage site for potential wedding etc as we were lucky we havent used the sauna that time as people where peeking thru sauna window:)
-welcome pack (shortbread, scones etc) on arrival
-natural flowers/herbs in cottage
-some maybe bigger snow sleighs for nearby dunes:)
-maybe in future a bicycle hire or even off road e-scooter for nearby field exploring?
-some binoculars
-more games/guide books and guest review book on leaving?
Cottage have wifi but is very slow (0.1-0.5Mb/s) so if you planning to 'work from home' here it wouldnt connect on zoom etc. However, for us it was a positive thing as kids werent using internet devices so much:)
Plenty of wood to use for fireplace/sauna/fire pit.

We opted for the cottage because of the advertised WiFi as one of the party had to work. Unfortunately it was painfully slow so they had to drive to local cafe. Maybe also let guests know there is no phone signal either. I’m sure this place is idyllic in summer but off season not so much. Both upstairs bedroom windows leaked water and we had to move beds away and use towels to mop it up. Rain also flooded dining area. I know it was particularly heavy rain but this is Scotland! Access Road is full of potholes. The place was exceptionally clean and beds comfortable but wouldn’t return.

We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful cottage in the perfect location, the beach is just beautiful! The plunge pool and sauna were an added bonus which we particularly enjoyed!
Customer service was 1st class when we asked to book a treehouse for our family to come and stay too!

The cottage is located in a delightfully remote site within a working farmland environment and a ten minute walk to a beautiful beach.The facilities were very satisfactory, however a washing machine would have been useful. The first floor ensuite bedrooms were adequate if somewhat cramped. The double beds were compact as were the showers. For our puposes the accommodation was a great success.

We had a lovely few days in this beautiful cottage which is very comfortable and elegantly furnished. The surroundings are just stunning and the nearby beach is lovely. The staff were very friendly, pleasant and helpful. (The free roaming hens are pretty friendly too!) It's definitely somewhere that one visit is just not enough. We'll be back! :-)

Thanks so much. The cottage and treehouses, and whole location, for my son's wedding, was absolutely fantastic.
We loved the location so much, though for some it may be a tad remote or hard to get to (bumpy roads, quite far away from nearest town).
With the beach and dunes so close, and the farm/animals, and the fabulous treehouses and cottage, and new sauna. It truly was spectacular.
we stayed in the cottage, which was perfect for a family, or group of friends, comfortably sleeping 7, and luxury of having lots of bathrooms, open plan living area, and a lovely wood burner. we had some wonderful evenings, and my daughter in law was able to get ready for the wedding with us.
The only constructive feedback would be that it wasn't quite as clean as we'd hoped (we had to clean the fridge and cooker ourselves), and the carpets had been washed the day of our arrival, and were still sopping wet, so we couldn't walk around in socks for 3 days. someone had polished the bannister and the spray had shined the hardwood floor (I almost slipped over), and despite asking if sundries and basics would be supplied, there was only salt (a good range of kitchen equipment), but no pepper, oil, tea bags, washing up liquid, tea towels, hand wash, shower gel, bin bags, dishwasher tabs, toilet roll etc. which, in some air bnbs we have stayed in, really make it feel like luxury, as the small things are taken care of. So we had to go shopping to get everything on the first night (we left you the teatowels, as we didnt need them).
other than that, we will definitely be recommending you, and would love to come back again.

This is our 5th year at Harvest Moon having stayed at the glamping most years. First time in the cottage as our children are getting older and wanted Wi-Fi for gaming. We were not disappointed while the adults longed for the glamping with early nights and no technology the children had the best of both worlds with great outdoor space / beach and their technology to let them link to friends.

Thank you for a lovely stay. As well as enjoying the beautiful coast and countryside within walking distance we enjoyed seeing the activities on the working farm. We also enjoyed chatting to the alpacas and goats and it was exciting seeing wild hares at dusk. The owners were very accomodating and helpful.

Family of 7 had fabulous stay at the cottage. The cottage had everything you could need , the staff came to check everything was ok and the setting is gorgeous. We hired the whole beach cabin site for our wedding guests and the cottage too- we had the most wonderful weekend.Cottage was clean and cosy and the living space was excellent. Only thing I would say is the provision of some toiletries e.g. hand soap in the bathrooms would be appreciated- there wasn't any supplied.

We had a great time at Harvest Moon. We stayed at the cottage for 4 nights with our 2 children and it had absolutely everything that we needed. All the staff we met very friendly and helpful. The location is really well signposted. It’s an excellent spot with just a short walk to an absolutely stunning beach. Everything in the local area was easily accessible and just a short drive away. All and all, we’ve had a fabulous time and will definitely be booking to come back soon.

We really enjoyed our long weekend stay at the Cottage at Harvest Moon. With 2 small kids we enjoyed getting out and seeing the farm, the animals, and wandering down to the beach. We had everything we needed at the Cottage, and Alex and Chris were great with any questions or requests. Feeding the animals was a highlight for the kids!

We spent 4 nights in the Cottage with another family and it was absolutely wonderful. The cottage is located in a secluded part of the farm with incredible views, it is lovely and quiet too. It is set up really well for larger families- there's a dishwasher! We fed the alpacas in the morning and the children loved it. The beach was beautiful, peaceful and felt very safe. The staff were really welcoming, they came to see us as we arrived and were very friendly. Location is also great for day trips to North Berwick, and even Edinburgh.

We booked the Cottage for a family wedding & the location was perfect as it was within walking distance. I would say the only thing to be aware of is the gravel road if you have a expensive car! The customer service was impeccable and they couldn’t do enough for us! Would definitely recommend for a family holiday.

Harvest Moon is possibly Scotland’s best kept secret. Countryside, coast and woodland combine at this magical hideaway yet you are only 30 miles from Edinburgh or a 15 minute drive from pretty Dunbar ! The cottage accommodation is immaculate and very well equipped. We had great weather when we were there and were able to swim in the beautiful clear waters of the North Sea , a real treat and not something we expected . The beach is stunning and so quiet it may as well be your own. The woods are fantastic, we saw deer and a hare. Make sure you are up early if you visit , you may catch a glimpse too . The working farm is a fascinating watch, and the farm animals are just lovely ! We really didn’t want to leave and will be sure to visit again . Thanks for an amazing holiday. This is one very special place.

We had our wedding at Harvest Moon cottage. It was a 4 night stay giving us time to set up and organise an intimate wedding in the most magical setting. Everything was perfect. 3 big double rooms with access to their own bathrooms. A beautiful open living,kitchen and dining space. The windows in the cottage make it feel you are staying within nature. Stunning woodland views out the back with a private garden and bbq area. And gorgeous field views for miles out the front. The staff at Harvestmoon are friendly and helpful and made sure everything went to plan for us. We cannot wait to go back. Thank you so much Harvestmoon.

Lovely 4 nights over October Half term. We have stayed at the Beach Cabins twice before in summer but the cottage was just as lovely for an autumn stay. We stayed in Harvest Moon Cottage last weekend as part of a wedding party. What a great time we had, and the cottage was the perfect place to go back to after all the fun of the wedding. The cottage is quiet and secluded with panoramic views across the fields and flat agricultural coastline. Ten minute walk, along the fields, and a beautiful expanse of pristine beach, with clean sand and an outcrop of rocks for rock pooling, is found. The Honesty Shop was a nice touch and the cottage was spacious and comfortable. The welcome was warm and help was on hand when needed. We would love to visit again.

Harvest Moon is ideally situated in between North Berwick & Dunbar. It’s c.5 minutes from Whitekirk Hill in car and many other places nearby to visit. If you even need to leave. We had the best weather and went to two different spots of the beach - we loved the short walk passed the alpaca’s and over the dunes. Stunning view and very quiet spot - the windbreak was handy to have along. Saturday morning was a massive hit with the girls as we were taken to feed chickens and alpacas. Later on we visited the Pygmy goats at the beach cabins. The cottage is by itself but only a few mins walk to treehouses. Fields out the front and woods to the back, very idyllic. We had a bbq out the back the Sat night and then picked up some chips and had a ‘picnic’ at the front on the Sunday. Popped to Whitekirk Hill on the Sat afternoon for an ice cream whilst the girls played in the chalk wigwam.
All in all a wonderful stay and we are hopeful to make it back next year although whether to the treehouse or the cottage we aren’t sure!!! A beautiful part of the world.

We had a very relaxing break at the cottage. Located on a farm near sand dunes and beach just up the coast from Dunbar, you are afforded a beautiful environment in which to walk in woodlands and along the coast. North Berwick and Dunbar are within easy reach. It was great to get away. Particularly during this virus pandemic. The staff made you feel welcome and were very helpful. A nice relaxed vibe with plenty wildlife to enjoy.

Having stayed in the Harvest Moon treehouses before, we knew how wonderful the site was. Initially, we were disappointed that the treehouses were all booked, but then decided to give the cottage a try. We were not disappointed! It has been beautifully renovated, and had everything we needed - PLUS benefitted from all the facilities of the the treehouses, so our daughters got to feed the chickens and llamas, and loved using the honesty shop and collecting the logs. I cannot recommend Harvest Moon enough. The staff were universally lovely - friendly and helpful. We'll be back!

We wanted somewhere that felt remote but within easy reach of supermarkets and towns if we were looking for entertainment and this location was perfect. We were having a staff event and had the perfect setting for heading to the beach for a quick dip before returning to our cosy cottage for dinners/BBQs and getting a log fire on the go.
The staff were all really helpful and super friendly and the cottage had everything we needed for a great break away.
I would highly recommend for anyone wanting there own little bit of remote luxury in East Lothian.

We spent 1 week in the cottage and we were pleased with the accomadation, layout and everything provided for our stay. The log burner was a very welcome feature. The proximity to the beach makes for interesting short walks to and over the dunes.
On the down side the access roads are in my opinion unsuitable for normal family cars and I experienced a puncture on our fourth day. That would dissuade us from returning.

We were welcomed on our arrival to make sure everything was satisfactory. The kids were invited to feed the animals the next morning - some goats, alpaca and chickens - which they loved. The cottage is a 10 minute woodland walk from the beach, and the beach is a lovely quiet sandy beach. We were lucky enough to see deer, blue Jay, pheasants, hares, and squirrels while we were there. The weather was a bit mixed, but the living area is roomy, so we could have some family games, watch DVD, and read in comfort during the rainy times. It was good quality, clean, welcoming accommodation that I would recommend.
The only thing I would recommend for improving would be recycling and food waste containers at the cottage.

Just back from a lovely three day break In the cottage with family. Location is fantastic with the magnificent beach only a short walk away. The cottage has absolutely everything you need, even down to the charcoal for the BBQ. It’s in a beautiful, private and tranquil setting. Gave the comfort as Good but would have given Excellent had the beds and bedding been a bit more luxurious. The living area is great with plenty of seating and kitchen is fully equipped with all you’ll need, even down to a second fridge, which comes in very handy. We will definitely return.
