Great cottage with 2 good sized bedrooms. Everything was nice and clean and in good condition. I didn't use all the facilities but they looked well maintained and cared for. The cottage was warm and resonably soundproof. Kitchen and bathroon were modern and functional - a great balance between functional and luxury. For a stay in the country, with the cirty on your doorstep, it was ideal and felt like home so it was easy to relax.

The cottage would be even better if the bedding was of better quality, perhaps a higher threadcount on the duvet and pillow covers would help. Althought clean, it was not quite up to hotel standard and the matress was not the best that I have exepreinced. At 6'4" I often struggle with beds when away from home so I suspect other people may not have this problem.

Staff were very helpful and were really friendly. The catering at the event was provided by an external provider Friends 4 Dinner who were an excellent part of the overall prackage on offer. Dinner and breakfast were top quality at the event attended.

We enjoyed our stay again at Villa Farm. The Cottage is just right, all on one level, cosy space with great heating, easy parking and super access to York. We will be back.

Great 2 brm cottage in a group - clean and comfy, everything you need in the cottage, safe parking, great outdoor space. Easy access to York shopping and eating out. Highly recommended for a York break and perfect for groups sharing a number of cottages.

Perfect destination for our friends and family to stay for our daughters wedding. Kitchen very well fitted out. I would have liked a dressing table with mirror and hair dryer in bedroom to apply make up and do my hair. Sitting area a bathroom both good

I got married here on the 14th May. The cottage was beautiful, clean and very well catered. York Barn is fantastic wedding venue. We were lucky to have gorgeous weather so managed to get married outside with the beautiful landscape.
I would fully recommend a visit. The staff are fantastic and very helpful

Two cottages at Villa Farm for two nights were ideal to accommodate our extended family (including dog) for a wedding a few miles further North. Very friendly team and all information provided was accurate, including advice that the venue is used for wedding and hen parties but that guests are asked to behave considerately and respect other people staying at the property. It appeared there was a hen party when we were there but credit to them and to Villa Farm management we were hardly aware of it; I hope a good time was had by all.

Note I have rated ‘Personal Events’ as 1 as it does not apply but there is no ‘N/A’ available.

We really enjoyed our stay and would come back. Excellent location. Only fault was that Beds were not comfortable at all, not very sturdy. Floors were not clean very dusty.

Everything about Villa Farm was perfect, the cottages, the grounds but especially Corrina and her team. The entire weekend was planned down to the finest detail and then executed without a glitch (that we could tell anyway). There really is not a single thing that we would change
