We held a corporate event at the Villa and we were not disappointed. It was a huge success, all down to the fantastic staff. They took care of us, ease of booking. Extremely clean appartments and rooms. The food was stunning and all dietary requirements were looked after. The bar area and outside seating was stunning. Overall a fantastic couple of days spent in a gorgeous location.
Our stay in Dove cottage made our wedding even more magical. Thank you to the whole villa farm team!!
We stayed at the cottage for the weekend for a wedding. The cottage was clean and tidy, it had plenty of kitchen amenities and we loved how social we could be with everyone in the courtyard area. The outside venue for the wedding was nice and the reception venue was perfect for the amount of people who attended. Anyone looking for a lovely venue to have an all in one place wedding, I strongly recommend this place.
The photos on your website don't do it justice - so much nicer than expected. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The staff were brilliant and the food was good
We had a brilliant time during our 2 day company event. The staff were attentive, the food delicious and the cottages were comfortable. The peaceful setting of the barn and outdoor terrace was perfect for our meetings, bbq and celebration event.
Beautiful property and room. Room was extremely comfortable, clean and updated. Fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Staff is very friendly, quick to respond and accommodating. The only negative is it is not in walking distance to anything. Very busy road with no pedestrian or bike lane. You’ll need to drive or taxi in and out. I was quite happy to stay at Villa Farm in a beautiful setting and cottage versus a stale hotel room!
I attended a team event at Villa Farm Holiday Cottages. It was a lovely setting with great accommodation and very attentive staff. The cottage I stayed in was very clean and had everything I needed for my stay. If would have been even better if there was fresh coffee available along side the tea.
We had a party of 9 people staying for a hen do. We had a brilliant weekend. We were surprised by how big the cottage was and it has beautiful green space outside. The hot tub was preheated and perfect to seat 8 people. The cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival with lots of the amenities that aren't usually included like dishwasher tablets and hand soap. There are lots of shops a short drive away which was handy. Communication before we arrived was excellent. I will be recommending this place to friends as we had such a lovely stay and it is fantastic value for money.
I had a weekend at Minster lodge for my brothers stag do. Very easy to book and sort deposit and final payment. Contactless check in and easy to find accomodation which was to a high standard. It was a very good weekend close to York, I would happily stay at the Villa Farm Holiday Cottages again.
Comfortable clean house in a good location. We had a few issues with the electrics - first day the downstairs lights wouldn’t work, then the following morning there was no hot water. The third day, the downstairs lights and oven wouldn’t work and maintenance had to come out to help us
Booked it for a stag weekend for 10 of us, expecting the usual basic accommodation consisting of just the essentials and a a little bit scruffy. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find the place in great condition, well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and 2 decent bathrooms (I didn't use it, but apparently the downstairs shower was great). Easy to check in as it was left unlocked for us to arrive, and the only slight issue was that our hot tub wasn't working so we had to use the one for the cottage next door (which was about 5m metres further down the patio). Lovely place to stay - no complaints what so ever. Clean and spacious, short taxi ride into center of York
Myself and my new husband stayed here the night of our wedding. It was comfortable and very well appointed the only downside been it was very hot even with windows open and a fan on, but you can't control the weather and having the sun out on our wedding day far out weighed the warm room.
