The property was stunning. It included everything you could need and more. The facilities were spotless and all high quality. It provided a great social space after a busy conference day: time for drinks and snacks in an infomral setting with other delegates. Great environment for all your group occasions be it conference, weddings and everything in betweeen. Thank you!
We stayed here for our wedding night my husband stayed the Friday night and we both stayed the Saturday night and it was perfect!!! Gorgeous room…. Comfy bed! Zero faults or suggestions
Stayed for my son's wedding for two nights. We cannot fault the cleanliness, facilities or space. The only downside is the beds, particularly the double bed. It's too small and the mattress is of very cheap, poor quality. This resulted in a lack of sleep both nights. Nothing a memory foam mattress couldn't resolve Unfortunately, I couldn't recommend due to the bed quality and the lack of sleep. Shame as everything else is perfect !
A great place to stay. The accommodation was clean and well kept. The meals were very appetising and the barn was a lovely venue.
This was a wonderful venue for our first ever residential for the 'Yorks100' aspiring headteachers programme. Beautiful surroundings and wonderful staff made this a really special event. A couple of plates and bowls we found in cupboards weren't clean, but other than that everything was spotless. Occasionally the wifi let us down and it would be great if there was a slightly bigger working space. However, overall we were really grateful to Corrina and the whole team for being so accommodating!
Beautiful property and room. Room was extremely comfortable, clean and updated. Fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Staff is very friendly, quick to respond and accommodating. The only negative is it is not in walking distance to anything. Very busy road with no pedestrian or bike lane. You’ll need to drive or taxi in and out. I was quite happy to stay at Villa Farm in a beautiful setting and cottage versus a stale hotel room!
Great cottage with 2 good sized bedrooms. Everything was nice and clean and in good condition. I didn't use all the facilities but they looked well maintained and cared for. The cottage was warm and resonably soundproof. Kitchen and bathroon were modern and functional - a great balance between functional and luxury. For a stay in the country, with the cirty on your doorstep, it was ideal and felt like home so it was easy to relax. This is the fourth time of staying at villa farm , a different house every time depending on number of guests , location , value for money everything is perfect !
The food was really great. The cottages were clean and comfortable. The setting was quiet yet accessible.
Booked it for a stag weekend for 10 of us, expecting the usual basic accommodation consisting of just the essentials and a a little bit scruffy. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find the place in great condition, well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and 2 decent bathrooms (I didn't use it, but apparently the downstairs shower was great). Easy to check in as it was left unlocked for us to arrive, and the only slight issue was that our hot tub wasn't working so we had to use the one for the cottage next door (which was about 5m metres further down the patio). Comfortable and well equipped cottage . We stayed 3 nights and caught the bus into York from the end of the lane. The cottage had everything we needed for self catering and there were shops, restaurants abd takeaways just a short drive away.
