Absolutely gorgeous accommodation, everything you need. Danielle and Tom are wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them. Lovely setting on their farm with wonderful views, stunning sunsets/sunrises. Brecon isn’t that far away with a lovely walk along the canal. This was my second visit to Vale Farm Cottages. You won’t be disappointed.

We had a lovely stay at Vale Farm Cottages. The location was great to explore the local area including walking Pen y Fan and visiting a Red Kite feeding farm. Cottage was clean, tidy and provided everything we needed, and we made full use of the swimming pool!

This was our 6th vist to Vale Farm, but our first with Danielle and family as owners.
We had a wonderful time as always. Danielle was extremely helpful and on hand when ever we needed anything.

A lovey peaceful location. The cottage had everything we needed and was well equipped. We made good use of the swimming pool due to the warm weather when we visited. Dog friendly which was great. Owner was very friendly and accommodating. A lovely short break in Brecon.

We had a wonderful time at Vale Farm. Both Danielle and Tom were super hosts and made us so welcome. It was lambing time so the grandchildren and adults were shown round seeing the ewes and lambs including the cows. Everyone so enjoyed themselves. We had three cottages as we were away with our children and grandchildren. The walks and views were breathtaking and the only sound at night were the sheep/lambs. The weather wasn’t too good but that didn’t stop us and we always had the swimming pool and jacuzzi to relax in after our strenuous walks.

Set on a working farm, with far reaching views, the weather was kind whilst I was there! Lambs skipping and jumping in the fields directly outside the cottages what more could you ask for! Vale Chestnut cottage is lovely, the whole accommodation was clean and welcoming. If you have a dog with you there’s a box with a handy towel, bowl, poo bags and a jar with some treats in for them Upstairs on the dining table was a packet of Welsh cakes, lovely little touch, and very yummy they were too The views from the balcony are simply stunning and I can only imagine what the sky must look like on a clear night The pool (indoors) is great, something to do if the weather isn’t that great. Danielle and Tom are super lovely hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. There are walks around the farm and walks along the canal in nearby Brecon and along the river (Usk/Wye?) in Builth Wells. It’s simply a beautiful place to stay and a beautiful part of Wales, I can’t wait to return

We had the most fantastic week at Vale Farm. Danielle and Tom are lovely welcoming hosts and everywhere you look there are views for miles and miles. Our dog loved the walks, the kids loved the swimming pool and I loved the hot tub!

Pen y fan and The four waterfall walks are just a short drive away, Vale Farm is the perfect base for exploring! We’ll definitely be back again next year!

Convenient location for Hay festival, easy to find, simple check in with key left in door. Cottage could have been significantly cleaner, but was comfortable. Used the pool once, could also do with a clean. Small pool, but nice feature especially if you have kids. Views over the hills are wonderful.

This was our 4th time at Vale Farm. We hire all the cottages with our family and enjoy quality time together in perfect surroundings. Vale Farm Cottages is a relaxing, quiet, and peaceful environment. The owners were very helpful in answering any questions about the cottage and in providing information on the area. They went above and beyond! Our family loved the pool. A car is needed for getting around the area. It's a shame we didn't get a clear enough night to do some stargazing, though this is recommended. It would be good to have a few more supplies in the 'self-catered' kitchen but in general we were able to get by and it was a great place for the down time we needed. We'd love to go back sometime.

We really enjoyed our stay and it is clear that a lot of work has gone into making the cottages and site an enjoyable and easy experience. The host was very accessible and responsive.

As there was a large group of us we hired out all the cottages for the same week and it worked really well.
As the weather was quite wet having the pool and both hot tubs there was always something to do (especially for the kids). The location was fantastic and the standard of accommodation was very high. The owners were friendly and approachable.

We have just come back from spending a magical Christmas with family at vale farm cottages we had 2 cottages which where beautifully kept with every thing you need , Emma went out of her way to make us and our dogs at home even a tour of the farm , the scenery is truly beautiful and the sky at night is breath taking sitting on the balcony Christmas day evening watching shooting stars with my family is a memory I will treasure Thank you Emma for sharing your beautiful farm with us I am sure we will be back .

We spent some time at these cottages to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary. We all had a fantastic time and the facilities were really good. We hired the function room to on one of the nights which was lovely to have the space to all sit together and have a three course meal our nieces made in the cottage. The swimming pool and hot tub was great to and our children had a great time. We were allocated enough time for us all to have time in the pool too which was brilliant.
The owners we really lovely and responded to our questions and requests promptly. We would all highly recommend these cottages. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The current Covid restrictions meant we had the pool to ourselves for an hour's slot each day. We think this worked really well and suggest making it a permanent arrangement?

This is our second time staying at Vale Farm, albeit in a different cottage than last time. Yet again everything was immaculate and wonderful - there really is no better view to drink in over breakfast or from the hot tub!

Covid safety was taken really seriously with very sensible provisions made to ensure safe and fair access to the pool. This was our first stay away from home after Lockdown (we use it as a base to visit nearby relatives), and anxiety was high but we felt very welcome, comfy and safe throughout.

Thanks so much for having us, we will be back.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay! This is a lovely farm, surrounded by most beautiful hills. Emma and the family are very welcoming and make you feel home instantly.
The option to be around all the farm animals, the little play park in the from and the absence of cars makes it a perfect stay for families with children!

This is the 4th time me and my 2 young daughters have stayed at Vale Farm. Emma and her family are always extremely accommodating and the facilities that Vale Farm have to offer are excellent. Both of my young daughters have learnt how to swim in the pool, it is perfect for beginners while also being big enough to swim a length. Being fairly isolated, the only sounds you can hear are the sheep in the fields and occasionally the farm dogs (and of course any neighbours in the 6 cottages on site). The views are fantastic, the walks excellent and the cottages are well-equipped. Highly recommended.

There are so many things to say about Vale Farm, but the 3 things that stick out for me are the views, the pool and the friendliness of the owners and staff. The dramatic views are second to none and rarely do you find somewhere where the only sounds you can hear are the sounds of animals grazing. The heated indoor pool was a welcome addition, perfect for children and big enough to feel as though you have swum a length. The owners went out of their way to make us feel at home and the accommodation was very comfortable. The cottages are perfect for a short stay and we were sorry to leave, but hopefully we'll have the chance to return again in the future.

Recently spent a lovely weekend in Vale Chestnut with my family to celebrate my 60th Birthday. Cottage was warm, cosy, clean and well equipped. Although just 1 bedroom there was plenty of room for us with the easy to pull out sofa bed in the lounge.
Loved the hot tub and pool so relaxing just what we needed.
The farmer even gave my 3 year old Grandson a tour of the farm and a sit in the tractor!
10 minute drive to Brecon with shops, pubs and restaurants so something for everyone.
With an amazing night sky full of stars it really is a great place to stay.
Will definitely be booking again.

We had a fantastic week away with the family. We actually hired all 6 cottages. They were all clean, the beds were super comfy, each cottage was well equipped and safe for the children. The hot tubs and swimming pool were a great addition. The outdoor space was amazing and we were lucky enough to have the weather so we could really make the most of it. We couldn't fault our stay and would certainly recommend any (all) of the cottages. We made some lovely memories in a beautiful place! Thank you.

A really lovely terraced cottage with balcony in a peaceful location, surrounded by beautiful farm land and rolling hills, with a distant views of the Breacons.
Everything we needed was provided even tea towels, washing up liquid, cling film etc. Emma was a lovely host.

This cottage was clean, comfortable and perfect for the three of us. The kitchen could have been better equipped, eg more chopping boards and a cafetiere would have been nice but overall it was great. Vale Chestnut was the accommodation highlight of our trip over from New Zealand. We could have moved in and stayed. It is beautifully renovated farm buildings set amongst peaceful countryside with great rural views. Everything you could possibly need was supplied and the spa and heated pool were icing on the cake.

It was great to be able to relax in such beautiful surroundings. Our family stayed in all the cottages and had a brilliant time. Nothing was too much for Emma and her team.......thank you
We all had a guided tour around the farm which was really interesting too

We had a lovely weekend stay. This property is in a beautiful tranquil setting. Emma made us very welcome and was on hand to answer our questions.
Every where was very clean.
We look forward to our family stay in August.
