Fabulous cottage , cosy , clean ,comfortable and well equipped . Welcome basket was amazing and much appreciated . The large smart tv was a great addition too . Trunch is a lovely village , country walks from the cottage and a short drive to the beach . A very dog friendly cottage to which we will definitely return .

We had a lovely stay at 1 Paynes Cottage, the location was great and the cottage itself was everything we wanted, including having parking. It was clean, tidy and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for eating in of an evening. The lounge had 2 comfy sofa's and a really good size tv (hard to come by in most holiday rentals). Our miniature schnauzer really enjoyed having the freedom in the dog safe garden. We had to contact the owners because we thought there were no mugs and despite it being a Sunday evening they kindly responded straight away...it was our fault, there were plenty of mugs but because they were glass we didn't look properly - think it's time to have our eyes tested again !! The owners had left us a lovely basket of treat's which was much appreciated.

I went to 1 Paynes Cottage for a long weekend with 2 of our dogs. I've stayed at other East Ruston Cottages, but this was the first time here. The cottage has everything you need (apart from a couple of baking trays, left a note suggesting this), it's warm, clean, cosy, and the bed is super comfy! Didn't need the log burner as it was really warm in the daytime, but the heating was welcome in the chillier evenings. The cottage is situated on a very peaceful back lane.

ERC describe the garden and fences very well, the front fence is short, but as our dogs aren't escape artists it was fine, and they loved laying outside to sunbathe.

We didn't stary very far, but Trunch is a very pretty village to stroll around.

Payne cottage was everything you need to have a great break, set in a quiet village with lovely countryside walks from the property.
There is a good pub just down the road.
The cottage was well equipped and super clean, the owners left a lovely welcoming hamper that was so appreciated.
Short drive to the wonderful dog friendly beach, and great base for exploring.
