Hadn’t holidayed with both of our GSD before but this was the perfect place to stay. Accomodation and ameneties were to such a high standard with everything you could possibly need. The addition of a secure field to use throughout the stay was so welcome and lovely walks direct from the door. Would love to stay again soon and would highly recommended, the owners were lovely and communicative before and during the stay when we reached out to them.
The Lookout is worth 6 ⭐. The view is to die for, the beach is lovely and a minute away , the sound of the sea is good for the soul. Sally had thought of everything, making this a truly comfortable stay. The standard of this accommodation is fantastic. Coffee shops, ice cream and great fish and chips are a short stroll. It’s a great location to explore North Norfolk but really just spend your holiday on the beach or watching the sea and the odd seal!
Everything has been thought of, a really lovely cottage with great facilities for the dogs. We had a lovely relaxing time. Would highly recommend
Immaculate barn conversion with super secure high walled garden. Perfect for dogs. Great walks/run straight from the door and a 2min drive to the historic Walcott church and fabulous Walcott Dog Field. Sunsets are spectacular from the comfort of your picnic chair on the front lawn - highly recommended - don’t forget to take a bottle of your favourite tipple for the ultimate sunset experience. Very caring hosts. Friendly, sociable and respectful. Some lovely touches added to make our 25th wedding anniversary feel very special. Our 3 week stay was really enjoyable, too short, and we wer...more
We had an enjoyable stay at 1 Paynes Cottage. The owners were very helpful to us on the first evening when we could not work out how to use the induction hob, despite reading the manual! . We appreciated the welcome hamper and our dog particularly loved the Pooches Chicken and Carrot bone treats. Trunch is a lovely village and we enjoyed going to the Crown pub for an evening meal, which was delicious. The staff and locals were very welcoming and helpful.
The Peanut is a lovely quiet home from home for two plus pooches. Everything has been thought of to make your stay as comfortable as possible with quality facilities and fittings. Paul & Stella are so welcoming and are immediately on hand if needed. The Peanut is absolutely perfect for dogs with a lovely grassy secure paddock immediately adjacent. Lovely furnished secure patio and hot tub are just perfect if weather permits. It’s a great set up for groups of family or friends with three individual properties on site. Highly recommended for a quiet peaceful luxury dog friendly break
We spent a lovely restful week in Sea Urchin, with everything necessary to make us and our dogs comfortable, happy, and secure. For a small property, it's incredibly well equipped, and it's perfectly placed for a beach holiday, with the beach a minute's walk away. Robert is an excellent host, and we felt extremely welcome and at home.
Thank you, Caroline, for the warm welcome and extensive welcome back at Jack's Shack. Our second time staying and we had a lovely week. it's such a nice, well equipped cottage - there's everything one could possibly need... We felt like we had won the lottery with the weather and especially in the hot weather, we enjoyed the short distance to the beach - which allowed us to go for a quick dip in the sea with one of us staying behind with the dogs. We also made the most of the well designed garden, with had both sun and shade for most of the day.
We had a truly wonderful stay at Thatched Cottage. Our three little dachshunds absolutely loved the spacious garden, while we enjoyed the beautiful house and especially the relaxing hot tub. It was the perfect place to unwind, and we felt comfortable from the very first moment. We can wholeheartedly recommend this lovely home and would happily return anytime.
We arrived to all the ingredients for a cream tea (and more!) and a huge bowl of water for Molly and a bag of treats. Throws ready for the sofas and a cupboard of dog towels. We had a mixed week of weather, cold enough for big coat and ending the week with shorts, the barn kept us warm and cool. Thank you so much, see you soon.
Oak Cottage is a delightful property set in a small complex with everything you need for a fantastic Norfolk holiday. Spotless luxury in well designed accommodation, all thought out with our doggy friends in mind. They even have their own beautifully prepared and safe exercise field. Each cottage has personal access to a grass area for late night wees, great if your dog is a little elderly. Near to wonderful beaches, and two miles from a lovely little town for supermarket top ups, petrol, great fish and chips, and even an electric charging port right outside the cottage. This was the first holiday with our dog, (15 months old) and we loved The Walnut as soon as we stepped inside the door. It was so welcoming with everything provided and to such a high standard. Our dog gave it a full examination by exploring every room, and when she curled up and settled on the mat in the living room we knew it was the right place to be. The Walnut has been beyond our expectations; one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in and over the years we have stayed in quite a few. From the hamper full of delicious goodies tailored to our dietary needs, and the well equippe...more
We had an excellent couple of days, and our two Labradors loved it and the beach ! Very dog friendly and only a short walk to the beach !
This was our second stay here, and it did not disappoint! The cottage was spotlessly clean, superb welcome pack, and as before, exceedingly dog friendly. The facilities ate all you could possibly wish for, and I couldn't recommend it highly enough
Lovley stay at dormy Lovley and clean and comfy we had some lovley weather and walk to the light house then back down the beach. Due to things happening at home we left on Friday afternoon so we could get thing sorted at home Dogs and humans all had a grate time. Thankyou dormy We will be back
A fantastic location if you want a straightforward walk to the beach. Pleasant garden to sit in and listen to the birdsong. Clean and comfortable throughout. Our second visit here.
We wanted a relaxing break with our three dogs and Ruby Gem exceeded our needs. We are regular Norfolk visitors and although we could have done lots of sightseeing (to other beaches etc etc) we just wanted to stay put this time. Winterton-on-Sea and Ruby Gem made this so easy. Everything we needed was provided for us at the cottage so no need to dash out for essentials on arrival. Fantastic welcome pack. Cottage is beautiful, cosy but with plenty of room for our dogs (and us) to get comfy. Garden has good height fences and hedging. Side gate was a bit lower but our jumper stayed safe. Winterto...more
Sandmartins is very comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing stay with your dogs. We absolutely love the area as it's located a short walk from the beach in a quiet cul de sac. A large secure garden means you can let the dogs roam freely and not worry they will escape. The property is well furnished, extremely clean and there are throws supplied for the furniture if your dogs want to sit with you rather than on the three comfortable beds supplied for them. There are crates available too which save lots of space in the car. The neighbours are lovely too. We thoroughly enjoyed our ...more
This was our 1st stay at Hidden Gem, and it was perfect. The cottage is so clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need and is so comfortable. The very generous owners left all sorts of goodies for us and the dog, and I was really touched by the thoughtful bowl of water left in the kitchen - they clearly understand exactly what dogs need and what makes a comfortable stay. I was contacted upon arrival with lots of information, and then on our last day too and they were so helpful. The location of the cottage was amazing for walks across the dunes to the beach. We chose not to...more
Our 3rd stay at the Grove and won't be the last. The bungalow is very well equipped with a large beautiful enclosed garden. Non slip floors for the dogs. Welcome pack for us and the dogs was very generous. Pete phoned us to check all was OK after we arrived. Location is brilliant for us set on a very quiet no through lane with lovely views. Very close to Bacton Woods and the beach. Perfect for walking the dogs especially our sometimes reactive Tibetan Terrier. Look forward to coming back again next year.
We returned again to white cottage 4 adults and 3 dogs and again had a fantastic stay lovely comfortable beds and cosy living room Louise again thinking of her guests left lots of goodies we made the most of our days going out early returning about 6pm to flop down and watch tv ready for the next day with 3 exhausted dogs who were exactly in the same position when we came downstairs in the morning all to soon our stay was over but will be back for new year. Thanks Louise and ERC
This was our second visit to Bristow, we loved it the first time and didn't disappoint coming back this year. The house is warm and comfortable, its layout is perfect for my family and for the dogs. Gardens to side and rear very secure and being able to park by the back gate makes it easy to put dogs straight into the garden and shower them before they come in the house. Location to beach, Weavers Way and then town of Stalham perfect. OK, internet could be better if that is crucial to you but its adequate. Would we return for a third visit, hell yes! It feels like coming ho...more
We can't thank East Ruston Cottages enough for our urgent last minute request for this holiday after a problem with Air B and B who I'll never use again All the communications were fast and very customer focused They really can't do enough for you from booking to arrival info to the welcome pack to any info you need whilst you are there at your stay The Crib was lovely house with fab kitchen and large rooms comfy beds and lots of choice of sofas and chairs in the lounge The whole place was spotless and clean and the garden very large fully enclosed and safe and very well kept Large par...more
Our 2nd stay at Bristows Barn with friends & their dogs. Very comfortable & clean, a beautiful kitchen, perfect location for walks from the door & a fully enclosed garden - what's not to love!
Edelweiss was the perfect base for our short break in Norfolk. The location is great, whilst being rural and quiet, it is within easy reach of wonderful beaches, bigger resorts (like Great Yarmouth), and the Norfolk Broads. The property is clean, spacious and comfortable. We had a lovely stay with our two-year old little dog.
Excellent property, very well equipped. Only slight disappointment was sign saying no dogs beyond this point on the door through to bedrooms as our two like to sleep in same room as us. As it was, we took it in turns for one of us to sleep on sofa in the lounge with them as one of ours was on strict bed rest anyway, but the sign did seem at odds with the details which state to bring your own bedding if you wish dogs to sleep on your bed.
All Justin (Dad) wanted for his 60th birthday was to spend quality time with our kids, their partners, and the dogs—just making memories together. Three out of our four rescue dogs joined us (they’re family, after all!). Each comes with their own triggers, but none are aggressive—just a bit noisy at times. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome from Tim and Trisha immediately put us at ease and set the tone for a relaxing stay at The Farmhouse. All of our dogs have very different backstories. ReKa is a crossbreed from North Macedonia (possibly an Illyrian Shepherd). Bob is our lit...more
Such a beautiful cottage. Felt at home the moment we walked in the door. Those personal touches of ornaments and pictures added a warm and friendly feeling. Cottage garden plants were full of bees and butterflies. Dogs loved the garden and there were plenty of places fr them to find shade from the sun. Swing seat was the perfect place to relax. Beds very comfortable. Everywhere very clean. Tremendous welcome basket and even the dogs water pot was filled ready for their arrival !
We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at Beachcomber. The house was super; comfortable and clean. The location was perfect, just a few minutes from the dunes. We will definitely return!
A fantastic cottage so close to a lovely beach in a great location Well equipped and very clean with everything we could need The 4 dogs and their 3 owners had an amazing time and would love to return Well enclosed garden a short walk to a great beach with cafes, walks and plenty of pubs and takeaways nearby
This must have been our 8th or 9th stay at Rooster Barn, and it is truly home from home for our dogs and us: perfect location, lovely accommodation, and great atmosphere. Large garden for the dogs and perfect for sitting out in the sunshine. No distance at all to get to Happisburg beach, with great walks all around, and a pub within walking distance. A generous welcome pack to top it all, we love it! Going back in November, can't keep away.
We loved this cottage, very quiet location, spotlessly clean. Our dog loved the garden, it was fully enclosed. We look forward to returning.
Brig Cottage was clean and very well equipped for us, the wide sandy beach was a short walk away. The dogs enjoyed being on the sand. The only downside for us was that we were not told the attached cottage was being gutted and renovated so we had tue noise of drills and hammering which set our nervous dog off. Others may not have this problem. Overall a good break away in great cottage.
Lovely little bungalow on the edge of the village, very well equipped and convenient for the local beaches. A good base from which to visit the countryside .
This was the most amazing, relaxing place to stay. Very impressed with all the little details making it a home from home experience. So well set up for dogs, I was blown away! They really have thought of everything. The welcome pack for humans and dogs was stunning. Everything you could want in there. Close to lovely long walks and beaches. Local pubs lovely and dog friendly. You couldn't want for a nicer experience
We loved staying at Thatch Cottage. It is homely, slightly quirky but being so completely dog friendly was the icing on the cake . Tenby, our Springer, sniffed and sniffed in the garden every morning to evening and sat by the back door waiting for a chance to walk down the farmer's path to the beach. My 2 Children and their partners came for the weekend and went off exploring different parts of Norfolk while we relaxed at the house, coming together for meals cooked together in the evenings. We had a couple of meals out - the Fisherman's Return at Winterton (for fish and chips) and The Ingham S...more
A wonderful place to go to for a peaceful holiday,a realy well thought out chalet, and plenty ofdog bowls, great walks and close to Winterton village, also a realy nice dog friendly cafe,we will be going back there again, its our go to place, from now on,happy days.
Lovely peaceful property with an amazing bed that accommodated us and our 3 digs. Wonderful hamper on arrival full of goodies. We all had a wonderful time.
Really enjoyed our week at this beautifully renovated cottage. Walking the dogs by the marina was a treat for them and us. Local beaches in easy reach by car and many were almost empty and dog friendly. A perfect location for a week away in early autumn
Brilliant place to stay we had the best breakaway & Kerry & Kevin are the perfect hosts 5* . Nothing too much trouble and although they live onsite they never intruded on our stay. It was an amazing place exactly what we needed to de-stess and just chill. Beautiful views across the countryside . Brilliant walks , although very much in the countryside , tesco’s and shops less than 10 mins away . Our little dog loved the fully enclosed garden and there was everything we needed in the cottage . We can’t wait to return . Thank you both for making our stay so perfect xx
Just spent a very enjoyable week at the lovely Vineyard Cottage with my pack of 8 dogs. I was initially concerned by the relatively low fencing and meshing gaps which might allow agile dogs to escape, but owners were excellent about fixing meshing so I'm happy to report none of my lively spaniels escaped during my stay. The cottage itself is small but charming and perfectly suited for singles, couples, and small families. There was a lovely assortment of teas and coffees provided along with biscuits, milk, and dog treats upon arrival. The location was very good for various day trips to nea...more
If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet stay this is the place for you. The entire site , 2 cottages, 2 static caravans and various pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes is one of the most clean, well kept sites I have ever visited .Dogs were well catered for in all properties and there is even a secure fenced field for their use too. Situated on a working farm ( minimal noise) with an easy 10 /15 min walk across the field and dunes to the beautiful quiet Waxham beach where you will find seals relaxing on the sands. Plenty of dog walks in the area and other lovely places to visit. Have s...more
A very dog friendly holiday home. However, there was, nowhere to hang coats, no drawers in bedrooms. No clothes airer. No non slip shower mat. We asked the owner if we could park our cars away from the trees as our cars were covered in pigeon poop. We were given a less than satisfactory answer to park further away from the caravan.
The cottage was generally comfortable and well equipped. The hot tub was excellent and spotlessly clean. There was a nice welcome basket although the addition of a pint of milk would have made it perfect! Considering how dog friendly the property is there was no sign of dogs having been there in terms of dog hair etc which I know is no mean feat. However there was quite a lot of dust around the place which was a shame as it didn’t feel as clean because of this and some of the cupboards and equipment could have benefited from a wipe out/clean. In terms of location there are some nice walks b...more
We have been before and love it. Totally secure garden for the dogs. It’s clean and comfortable and a nice quiet short walk to the beach where the seals were hanging out. Only reason for 4 * was no towels and no response on that. Would recommend.
We loved our stay at Sunny Cottage. The cottage itself is is in a great position in peaceful Southrepps, it was so quiet and the garden was perfect for relaxing and the dogs to explore, no escape routes. The cottage was very high standard and equipped with everything you could possibly need. We did miss having a freezer option for our raw dog food but that's just preference. We even managed the Aga. Southrepps has a well equipped shop and a welcoming pub The Vernon Arms with good food. There is also a lovely walk from the village hall to the Suffield Arms, we didn't eat there but the pizzas lo...more
We had an amazing week at Red Roofs on Hickling Broad. Whilst the house can easily accommodate 8, we made use of the discount for smaller groups, which was perfect for our 2 humans, 2 big hounds family. We often find that holiday homes are either great for the humans, or great for the dogs. Rarely do we find places which are perfect for all of us. But Red Roofs cracked it. When we arrive at other holiday cottages one of us usually takes the dogs for a walk whilst the other dog proofs the accommodation (inappropriate rugs up, delicate things hidden, our vet beds down). No need for any of ...more
We all loved our stay at Fenside. The main living area has such a beautiful feeling to it, very welcoming to dogs and humans alike. The beds are comfortable, the showers work well and the kitchen is well-equipped. Outside, the gardens are beautiful and we saw quite a lot of wildlife and wildflowers. The jetty had a fairly long drop to the water, so a step might be useful for when the water level is low. Absolutely fantastic to paddle board (we brought ours with us) out of the quiet creek into the broad alongside some friendly geese. You can buy a short-term permit for paddle boarding/canoein...more
