Bumblebee was perfect for us and our 3 Westies, two of them elderly so being able to let them wonder about the lovely well kept paddock was amazing for them. The quality of the Bumblebee with great furnishings and equipment was spot on. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners. Hot tub was an added bonus in the evenings with a glass of wine. Weather wasn’t the best but we had an enjoyable week. Only negative and I hate to say this is we like to read before bed and found the lighting in the bedroom a bit too dark. We have just returned from a perfect week at the lookout. The owner has been in contact several times to ensure we were happy with the arrangements. In the accomodation, that was spotlessly clean, we found a super welcome pack, oh the marmalade! A beautifully themed sea decor, many comforts for humans and dogs (we have 3), I must mention the condiment and sauces cupboard! The smart tv let us watch a number of our own favourites as well as the now famous euro quarter and semi finals. So close to the beach, I swam every day. Really enjoyed our stay, the host had thought of everything and the home was packed full of useful surprises. Suitable for children and most dogs. Our dogs did struggle a little with the proximity of the neighbours and neigbouring doggy noises. That was more of an oversight of mine as opposed to the hosts however. The host had thought of everything for dogs inside of the property however and the dogs did mostly enjoy their stay. 10 minute walk to the beach, 1 minute to the Dunes. We had the most relaxing holiday at The Peanut. Everything single detail at the property had been so well thought out. The Peanut itself was spotlessly clean and so comfortable but also very dog friendly (dog bowls, throws, bed, treats etc all provided). The outside space is also great for dogs. The Peanut has a large patio and a small grassy area but with direct access to the shared paddock. Our dog can be reactive to other dogs but this wasn’t a problem at all. We have just returned from Lighthouse Cottage after a weeks holiday, and all I can say is WOW - Norfolk is always my happy place but this stay was amazing - the cottage was super dog friendly, although you wouldn't know dogs had stayed there previously. The paddock was great for the dogs and all kept in pristine condition, was lovely just to chill on an evening and have a wander to the paddock if the dogs need a run before bed. Lovely comfortable holiday home. Very dog friendly, and right next to the beach. Almost everything you could need provided, dog towels, throws, bowls, toys, cleaning products etc etc. the welcome pack was full of lovely things. The sky is amazing at night as there is no light pollution, and you can sit on the porch and watch the sun go down. It is on an unmade road but that adds to its charm as there is very little traffic passing.
Manor barn is a little paradise! We came here for a family reunion, with children and our dog Tilou who is still very young, it was his second time away from home and a total success! The place is absolutely charming and the owner has been so welcoming and caring throughout our stay. We couldn’t have hoped for a better place and we’ve had such a nice time. 1st time stay @ The Walnut & just the same std as used to from ER cottages. Clean & tidy. Nice welcome pack for both dogs & humans. Everything needed for stay is included, inc throws for dogs to sit on sofa's. Hot Tub is a nice touch, & well sheltered location. Great dog field for them to play in, seat for humans to rest on. Private parking spot just by your own gate. Owners very friendly & nothing is a issue. Actual location of cottage is good, & not far from everything you need. Love the surrounding area. so quiet & peaceful.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Dormy. The house was very comfortable, tastefully decorated and very clean. It was very dog friendly with spare dog bowls, leads, poo bags, crate etc and throws for the sofas if needed. Communication was excellent. Our welcome pack was very generous, the best we have ever received - full of amazing locally sourced produce including bacon sausage and strawberries and tomatoes that tasted amazing, thank you. This is our second visit to this lovely cottage beautifully presented from the moment you arrive the field for the dogs to run in is ideal. Everything has been thought of it’s definitely luxury to a high standard. The welcome hamper for us & our 5 dogs was a lovely touch even included a birthday cake & card. The owners are onsite & are friendly & helpful. The cottage is ideally situated for the beach, wooded walks. Stalham is a couple of miles away which has a supermarket, fish & chip shop & other takeaways also a vet which we have had to use. This accommodation is 1st class!
This was our second stay here (and not our last) which speaks volumes. The owners ensure your holiday starts off in the best way possible with a lovely welcome pack - for humans and hounds. Lots of thought goes into ensuring guests and their dogs are made to feel welcome from the get-go. The cottage is always spotless and the garden is ideal for anyone with dogs who can simply be let out without any anxiety. Wow, what an amazing place to stay, all the beds were very comfortable, the open plan layout worked very well for us, being able to cook and talk while still keeping an eye on Baileys antics out in the very secure garden. The beach is a15-20 min walk, but did it nearly every day. I don’t think Scratby has the charm of Winterton(stayed at Beachcomber last year), but still a lovely village.We walked across the fields to Hirsts farm shop and had a lovely meal(Thank you ERC for the voucher). First I found a beach, then I looked for a dog friendly place to stay, then I found Hidden Gem. And what a find that was. We were blown away by what this cottage had to offer us and our 2 dogs. Yes, they're allowed on the sofas, yes they're allowed on the beds. Our dogs were welcomed in a way other 'dog friendly holidays' have not. Bowls, spare leads and guest dog tags, doggie first aid kit, the list is endless. And did I mention, out the back door and the beach is just over the dunes. The Grove is a comfortable homely cottage, well equipped for dogs and humans. Lovely and clean and fresh on arrival. Country walks from the door and a short drive to the beach. Shops, pubs, cafes all in easy reach. If you want peace and quiet with everything else on your doorstep it is perfect!
Our first visit to Happisburgh. Located in a quiet and ideal location for lovely beach walks. We walked miles every day on almost deserted sandy dog friendly beaches. The accommodation was lovely and perfect for doggy holidays. The bed was really comfortable and we both slept well. Our only thought was that the bathroom would benefit from modernising as it looked tired and dated.
Bristows Barn is a wonderful place to stay with your family and dogs. Totally dog friendly, lots of space for everyone. The separate courtyard and garden are great for chilling any time of day. Weavers way is just across the lane, so quiet, we hardly saw any other walkers. Stephen the host was so helpful, we can’t wait to come back again in November.
Lovely location, near enough to Stalham for supermarket shop plus other essential items from the town. Short drive to empty beaches for freedom walks. The description says secure garden and that is precisely what you get, fully enclosed so that Jack Russells can’t escape through gaps in the fence, tall fencing so that the retired police dog doesn’t feel the need to remember her fence climbing skills! Fields to look over and spot the deer/rabbits. Peaceful and relaxing Excellent neighbours, so friendly you felt that you’d been there for years rather than days.

The best compliment I can give after we’ve said it all over the years is that we both said the same when we returned to Rooster Barn this year; ‘it feels like home’! The dogs love it & so do we! All you could want for a relaxing & truly dog-welcoming & dog-friendly stay, within easy reach of exploring all around. Lovely clean cottage and great garden for the dogs. The walks from the cottage were also really good. We did miss that extra bathroom upstairs but we did know this. Lovely having the hamper with basics after a long drive.
We had an enjoyable long weekend break with Darcy our golden retriever at Swallowdale. Impressed with the doggy goodie bag and human one! No need to rush out to the shops on arrival. Good location to get to Bacton and Mundsley beaches and not far from Cromer. Very comfy beds and sofa.
Had a lovely week stay. Cottage had everything we needed. Our large Labrador loved his daily walk to the beach and enjoyed his swims in the sea. Village was so welcoming to dogs. So many walks to do and plenty to see. If you get a chance do the climb to the top of the church tower, amazing views.
Second time booking with East Ruston and can’t recommend them enough. Cottage was in lovely quiet location and close enough to amenities for days out. Lovely welcome pack on arrival at cottage and filled with lots of human and dog goodies. Cottage fabulously equipped and had everything we needed. Added bonus of Happisburgh dog park just down the road to hire and lovely pub The Star, Lessingham snd super dog friendly.
Fantastic place to stay with reactive dogs, Tim was very welcoming. Great location, out the way but not far from everything - beaches, shops, walks, historical houses. Amazing big welcome hamper and some lovely added touches like dog first aid kit, dog buggy, the dog shower outside was brilliant and the games rooms were a bit hit, especially as the weather wasn’t brilliant some days. We all had a wonderful holiday at Seaview. The dogs loved the beach running in and out of the sea. The local pubs and eating houses were very good. The cottage was clean and tidy, and had a wonderful sea view. Well worth considering again at some time.
We always enjoy our stays at Skylark. The chalet is clean, comfortably, very well equipped & right next to Winterton dunes. Our dog (and us) love it there.
We love Thatch Cottage - we went as grandparents with our daughter and son in law and two children under 3 years old. This cottage is good for whatever age you are. The garden is ideal and enclosed so if you have dogs there are no worries. The welcome pack makes a big difference to your arrival. We will probably be booking again next year!

Cottage very clean. Fab welcome pack. They thought of nearly everything. Only thing lacking is a poo bin for doggie doo. Perhaps locate one in garden and then guests could empty on last day of their stay. Would definitely recommend and return.
We spent a wonderful week at Vineyard Cottage. The most doggy friendly cottage we have stayed at as well as the most dog friendly area. Cottage lovely and very comfortable. Secure garden perfect for our dog to enjoy. Lots of dog friendly places to visit, nice walks and plenty of pubs/cafes that allow dogs. Would love to come back and would recommend Vineyard Cottage.
A lovely week away. A quiet and peaceful location to escape to. Close to beaches and cafes etc. The dogs were made welcome along with us. Highly recommended as a delightful escape to the countryside and still close to the coast.
Just returned from a fantastic week at Red Roof, we loved the location right on Hickling Broad. The Gardens front and back are huge and extremely well maintained. We took 3 dogs, 1 of them an escapologist we appreciated the rear Garden was absolutely secure and we were able to relax and let them out unsupervised. The House is large and very comfortable , the furniture and carpet are dated however everything is there that you need and you do not have to worry about the Dog jumping on the settee so makes for a very relaxing holiday. Fantastic place to recharge your batteries the walks from the front door were wonderful and so peaceful. All the dogs really enjoyed the country side walks. I would recommend taking bug spray as we all got bitten on the woodland walks, I guess that’s just down to the weather & the time of year. The lodge it’s self was comfortable & well equipped, the lounge would benefit from a standard lamp as you don’t always want to put the main lights on in the evening and the 3rd bedroom needs a bedside table & lamp & somewhere to hang or put your clothes.
