We had a wonderful time, the property is fabulous and has everything we needed and more. Location is perfect.
A comfortable and well presented lodge on a quiet holiday home site. Only two minutes walk away from beautiful sandy beach - with choice of dogs allowed one way or no dogs the other way. The beach was lovely and clean and very quiet with very few people - probably more during the peak season. The owner had left nice treats for the humans and dogs and answered additional questions on the booking. East Ruston Cottages very good to deal with. Friendly and helpful. A very enjoyable week.
We returned to Bumblebee in a different season and found a tranquil peaceful haven surrounded by nature bursting into spring. The cottage is more than comfortable, beautifully presented and the patio is a sun trap. There is everything there for humans and dogs. The walks from the front door are relaxing and the beach is 5 minutes away. The owners are supportive and friendly but unobtrusive. We will be back! In fact already booked for the autumn.
A fabulous holiday cottage, even better than the photos . A generous welcome pack, kind helpful hosts. Our dogs loved the field and the assortment of toys .
Fab stay at the property, perfect location for all amenities, highly recommend staying here. Dogs loved it
A wonderful, relaxing week at The Lobster. We loved absolutely everything about it - a great welcome pack, private path to the stunning beach, luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms & beautifully furnished. It is so well designed inside and out. Our dog really enjoyed the garden and the Charley Chau dog beds provided. We could happily have stayed put all week but did a few trips out to East Ruston Old Vicarage Gardens, Bacton Woods, Eden in Stalham, Smallsticks, Watsons and the Gunton Arms. Another gem, thank you to the owners and team ERC. Really hope to return if we can get booked!
This was our first time to Norfolk and using East Ruston Cottages. The Thatched Cittage was beautiful with everything provided. We can't fault our stay at all. Booking was easy and communication excellent. We will definitely be using East Ruston again for another break.
We’ve just had another wonderful week, the welcome hamper is excellent, the property is very clean, even the dogs beds ! There is nothing that you can improve on , it’s perfect. Lovely patio area the opens up into an enclosed secure paddock. Will be booking for next year !
We all absolutely loved Jacks Shack. Caroline has thought of everything and the cottage was so well equipped and stocked. The location was perfect for us with everything we needed close by. We were blessed with excellent weather and spent many happy hours on the beach and swimming.
Thoroughly enjoyed our time in this lovely cottage. Very clean. Fabulous welcome pack. Good communication with owner when we had a query. Very comfortable, lovely front garden. Secure for our dog. Would love to go back.
We had a lovely relaxing time at manor barn. There were four adults including my 90 year old mum and my disabled sister plus a mix of 8 dogs . The whole barn was extremely well equipped to suit the needs of all. The all access dog areas were fab and all of our dogs appreciated them. It was extremely hot so we spent a lovely two days not moving but that was fine. We even took our panther chameleon karma who had a very happy week
The walnut is a very neat little property and is part of willow tree holidays located in Happisburgh Heath. the property is neat and well furnished and outside is a hot tub which we all enjoyed. for the dogs Dylan and Monty there was a nice paddock where they could wander and meet other dogs. the owners Paul and Stella where very friendly and welcoming.
Great place especially for my dogs who don't do beach so the enclosed paddock is ideal. We would have preferred a walk in shower instead of the climbing into a bath as we are not youngsters. Overall a great place.
Excellent facilities for the dogs. They had their own enclosed spaces with toys and poo bags supplied. The cottage was comfortable and very well stocked with the best welcome package ever! Could have done with slightly larger sofas for four adults but other than that, it was brilliant!
We consider ourselves to be regulars at Dormy. It’s always my first choice. Why? It’s the perfect size for us and our pack. Open plan, airy, with a fresh feeling when you walk in, and so peaceful with only the sound of the waves. The dogs love it! Their holiday excitement builds as soon as we start wiggling our way along the short unmade road. Not sure if it’s the wonderful tray of goodies or the imminent exit from the vehicle to explore the grassy big back garden, adjoining the dunes that is the most exciting- but who cares? Dormy gives us a warm and fuzzy welcoming vibe and everything prov...more
We loved our stay at Sandrift. We arrived and there was a roomy driveway to park. Inside it was very welcoming and homely. There was everything that anyone would want. A well equipped kitchen, comfy sofas and comfortable beds. There was an extra large crate for our dog Arthur which saved us taking ours. Arthur loved the front and back gardens which were very secure. I felt confident in letting him out into the gardens without the worry of him escaping. The welcome pack was absolutely amazing with treats for the humans and lovely handmade biscuits for Arthur. It was only a short walk t...more
This is our second visit to this lovely cottage beautifully presented from the moment you arrive the field for the dogs to run in is ideal. Everything has been thought of it’s definitely luxury to a high standard. The welcome hamper for us & our 5 dogs was a lovely touch even included a birthday cake & card. The owners are onsite & are friendly & helpful. The cottage is ideally situated for the beach, wooded walks. Stalham is a couple of miles away which has a supermarket, fish & chip shop & other takeaways also a vet which we have had to use. This accommodation is 1st class!
I chose Ruby Gem for several reasons. It was a solo holiday with my two whippets and although it sleeps 4, it didn't feel like I was rattling around on my own. It has a great little secure garden where I sat with a morning brew. It takes maybe 3 minutes to get to the miles and miles of dunes which I honestly preferred to the beach a lot of the time because of how much interest there was to see for both me and the dogs. Even at the end of a school holiday, it didn't take long to find an empty stretch of beach, and when the kids had left it was rare to have more than a handful of people ...more
We have stayed at Woodpecker last year and wanted another quick break away. 5 stars for this stay, to being very clean and contemporary modern, the hot tub and all amenities needed on site for your dogs to stay. The beach is very close and dog friendly along with the local shops and pubs. The owners of the Woodpecker are very responsive and helpful if anything is needed, we needed some directions the first time we stayed our call was answered straight away. Recommended to all dog owners, the dog beds provided are very nice, large and high quality, toys in the garage to take out with yo...more
A beautifully located and picturesque cottage with everything needed for an excellent holiday. Lots of walks from the cottage and easy proximity to beaches and other attractions. Very comfortable and well equipped.
Beautiful barn very well equipped lots of room even with 5 big dogs lots of great quiet walks close to the barn short drive to our favourite beaches will definitely book again if they will have us, even our escape artist Jack Russell couldn’t find a way out of garden. My only sad face was the internet connection not brilliant normally would have loved that but it was TT RACE WEEK. A small niggle from a great week with family
Excellent cottage leading out at the back to the sand dunes and the beach. Our dog loves it and so do we. Have stayed with East Ruston Cottages many times and would stay again. This is our second time at hidden Gem but we have stayed at others as well. Perfect for dogs and walks on the dunes and beach.
Broads Cottage is a lovely place to stay and has very comfortable beds and sofas and 2 great showers and a super deep bath! We were a bit worried about the garden being next to the road through the village but it was so quiet we didn’t need to worry. The dogs were relaxed in the garden and hardly a car or person went past. The garden is secure for most dogs, as long as your dog doesn’t jump or try and escape. Lovely walks along the Broads from the door, beaches just a 15 minute drive away. A friendly small local shop and a dog friendly pub a very short walk away which served great food. Gat...more
We have been renting holiday homes for over 20 years and this is the best equipped we've ever stayed in! Immaculately clean, with everything we could need. The weather was very hot (the temperature inside was 28 degrees even at night) which was uncomfortable, but the lovely, secure garden meant the dog (and us) could stay outside happily. Because of the hot weather, we didn't manage the many lovely walks recommended, although we did have lovely little potters up to the amazing old church in the evenings.
A lovely very comfortable and homely cottage that had everything we could have wanted. It is so relaxing for us to go somewhere on holiday that actively welcomes dogs rather than tolerates them. A large and extremely interesting garden which the dogs loved. Lots of outdoor space to sit in and enjoy. The bed was very comfortable. There really isn't anything to improve on from our point of view. ERC and the cottage owner were in touch to ensure everything was ok. Walking distance from the pub and the beach. What more can I say.
We’ve stayed before at Rose Cottage and when a cancellation came up we booked it straight away. It’s a lovely cottage very well appointed with everything you need for humans and dogs alike. It’s in an ideal location 5 minutes from the beach and very close to a pub, shop, cafe and fish and chip shop. Highly recommend the cafe for breakfast and the chippy for dinner!
Lovely little cottage with everything we needed. Practical outdoor space for a sit down and the dogs to get out but under close control. Offroad walks a few metres from front door. Good location for beaches and to explore Norfolk. On-line info pack spot on and very simple booking.
The farmhouse is a large, dog friendly house with two games rooms. We enjoy our time at the farmhouse this is our second visit we are a small family but this house gets us together and off phones and i pads. Playing Pool and darts are our main games and we have other family members who we visit when in Norfolk so they also come and enjoy the games rooms. When the farmhouse is full of people it’s large enough for everyone to find something to do or find a space for quiet chill out time or a chat.
Our second stay at Corner Cottage and enjoyed it as much as the first. Due to the heatwave, the dogs (and us!) spent a lot of time in the beautiful garden, plenty of shaded areas throughout the day and very secure. Lovely views over fields from almost every window, sunsets were stunning and it was so peaceful. Easy few minute drive to a lovely beach at Cart Gap and lots of quiet scenic walks from the door.
Our stay was lovely, a very comfortable cottage ,very close and easy access to the dunes and beach. Would recommend highly.
First time at Rooster Barn. Had a week away with my husband and our four large dogs (Pointers and a Weimaraner). We were greeted with a lovely welcome pack and a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate our anniversary. The accommodation was perfect for us as it provided a secure space for our dogs to wander, as well as giving us a peaceful place to rest. There is a pub (under new management) in the village, where we sat outside after a walk with the dogs and everything else is just a short drive away. The neighbours dogs were not a problem. They occasionally barked when they heard our dogs outsi...more
We loved our stay here. First of all, the cottage is spacious! We came with our 2 German Shepherd dogs and there was plenty of room to move around. The garden was lovely to sit in and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening sunshine. Highly recommend the bakery down the road. The beach is super close which makes for some lovely walks, we visited good old Yarmouth only a short drive away and also Winterton-on-sea which is super pretty. We loved Brigg cottage and would stay again!
Great location and great quality of the accommodation, fantastic pre visit information with guides on shops, restaurants, things to do. Really doggy friendly with a fabulous beach on the doorstep.
We have just returned from a lovely week at Boundary Lodge. We found the cottage to be very clean, comfortable and well equipped (although the controls on the hob took a bit of getting used to ) The location was lovely with the Broad, nature reserve and two pubs near by. Plus 4 lovely beaches all within 5 miles. The garden had a lovely tree in it which gave plenty of shade even on the hottest days.
Our recent weeks stay at Skylark was fabulous. Arrived to a super clean chalet, very well equipped kitchen including a dishwasher and nice comfortable surroundings, lots of nice little touches left, useful things you might need, weve stayed in other cottages that arent so well equipped ! Lots of things provided for doggies, we had taken our two Border Collies and were already aware there is no enclosed garden ( but gates and windbreakers provided for anyone needing to enclose their dogs ) we didn't need to. The surrounding area of the chalets are very well kept and it was very peaceful on...more
As a family, we have stayed at a lot of holiday cottages, and Thatch Cottage has been voted everyone’s favourite! The garden was perfect and the interior was amazing. What a gorgeous house! The village was lovely. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Stayed for a week recently. Well equipped bungalow in a nice quiet village. Good road networks for visiting the local area and dog friendly beaches. Supermarkets not too far away. Would love to visit again, but unfortunately due to lots of military aircraft noise our 10 year old dog who suffers from noise anxiety was quite stressed at times.
We loved our time here but I probably wouldn’t say it was suitable for reactive dogs. There are dogs at the property next door which bark at the fence, meaning we kept having to call our dogs in. This won’t be an issue if your dogs don’t mind that. The fruit & juice we were given at the start of our stay was lovely.
Truly dog (and puppy) friendly. We felt we could truly relax here and enjoy our holiday. Everything you could think of needing while on holiday with your dog here was provided and with the hot weather this week, the paddling pool, the cooling mat and the multiple fans were amazing. The dogs loved stretching out on the cool floor and chilling out in the garden. For us knowing there was a vax carpet cleaner and a mop for any puppy accidents was a weight off our minds. The carpet upstairs is plush and the beds are super comfortable to sleep in. The bedding was pristine. Great location for a q...more
The, comparatively new owners, Kerry and Kevin, were very welcoming and helpful when we arrived. The welcoming pack was much appreciated. Not just for humans but treats for the dog. This is the place if you want peace and quite. The beautiful garden was the place to sit, especially in the afternoon and evening, watching across the fields to see buzzards, swallows and occasional deer. We have never seen so many butterflies and small 'bumble bees'. I think they were called Miner Bees. It felt that we were miles from anywhere but in fact we were a short drive to shops, beaches etc. Our 12 yr old ...more
Wonderful stay with my two dogs at west cottage. It was the dog’s first holibobs and they had a fantastic time. The garden was secure and both dogs had lots of fun and I had peace of mind, which is important to me particularly as I have an exempted dog. Would highly recommend we had a great time despite the rain ☔️ secure paddock was an added bonus. We’ll definitely be booking again.
We had a fantastic stay at this lovely cottage — it had everything we needed for a relaxing week away. The setting is incredibly peaceful, perfect for unwinding, and our dogs absolutely loved the secure garden to roam and play in. It's ideally located, with the nearest beaches just a short drive away, and the Weavers Way walking trail within easy reach. There are also plenty of beautiful National Trust properties to explore within a 30–40 minute drive. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet countryside retreat with great access to the coast and scenic walks.
Beautiful location. Very helpful owner. Great for dogs. Very clean. Comfy beds. Lovely kitchen. Weather was cold and only downside was evenings were chilly inside barn. Otherwise perfect.
We have stayed at Red Roofs a number of times & it is the most relaxing cottage that we have booked for both ourselves & our dog. We stayed over the Xmas period & it was a delight to see the Christmas tree lights twinkling as we arrived. The welcome pack was excellent & we had the surprize bonus of the owner dropping off a tin of home made mince pies mid stay.
Second Stay this summer , we literally want to move in. Perfect House in a a Perfect setting. Inside the house the furniture is comfy and homely (not showroom) and that makes it a much more enjoyable stay with 3 Dogs. We stayed during a heat wave and after a hot day out the house was always lovely and cool to return to. Loved it and we will be back again soon.
Lovely peaceful cottage, great location. East Cottage has a beautiful large garden both hoomins & dogs enjoyed. It was lovely to listen to the birds in the garden first thing in the morning. The hot tub was amazing & we had perfect weather with only 1/2 days rain. The beds were incredibly comfortable & we all had a great nights sleep.
Great place, the walks are wonderful, lovely goodies thank you. Only thing negative is the hot water temperature is so hot it was hard to set the shower at a bareable temp. The enclosed garden big bonus. We would stay again.
