Spotlessly clean, beautifully finished warm and cosy cottage. Great welcome pack for people and dogs, lots of extra touches such as welcome info with tide times, nice toiletries, provision of throws, dog crate, poo bags and dog bowls. Plus really good information about cottage where to go, where to eat etc provided as a downloadable App. Fantastic
The welcome pack is phenomenal! Lighthouse cottage is set out wonderful for dogs, with the paddock at the top of the drive, all securely fenced with a arbor to sit in on a warm day. Toys and washing station as well. There is just nothing about this accommodation that you can say anything bad about
Dormy is in a great location right next to the sandy beach, perfect for the dogs to run freely. You could hear the sea from the garden which was large and secure. Immaculately clean accommodation with everything we needed. A generous welcome pack which was so handy on arrival as no shops nearby. Takes just over an hour to walk along the beach to Sea Palling to play on the arcades and have refreshments in the cafe, pub or chippy before walking back. Highly recommend the food at Smallsticks cafe which is a short walk from Dormy. So dog friendly but not at all “doggy”. A really relaxing escape fr...more
After a long day travelling it was like a big hug to sit down to a delicious home cooked meal provided by Liz and Tim. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the table laden with homebaked goodies and a bag full of gifts for our dog. Liz and Tim were on hand if anything was needed but otherwise they left us on peace, and it is certainly peaceful at this location, just birdsong to cut through the quiet. Despite the wet weather we had it was a treat to enjoy long walks right from the garden gate with our reactive dog, we hardly saw anyone all week. The cottage has supplies of just about everyt...more
Manor Barn is the perfect venue for a special weekend away and especially with dogs. We loved everything about it and can’t rate it highly enough.
The walnut is a really lovely compact cottage with every thing you need for a relaxing break. Good location. Lovely hosts and close to many great beaches
I’m not sure where to start ! If I could give a rating of 10 out of 5 I would. What a truly wonderful dog and human friendly cottage. So cosy and warm which is so important at the moment with the cost of living crisis. My dog is old now and we did wonder how she would settle with the change, but we wanted to risk it to avoid the fireworks (which there were barely any ) well she loved it ! Settled straight away. The little garden was perfect for her and she couldn’t tear herself away from the log burner. The welcome pack which catered for humans and canines was amazing. We were all plotting ho...more
Very comfortable, clean and welcoming. A lovely part of the uk ideally placed for beaches, good pubs and very relaxing countryside. Would not suggest others go there as we want it for ourselves................ But seriously East Ruston Cottages are very dog friendly and we have travelled many years all over the UK and have seen the rise in such properties and indeed there will always be a market for them and these are some of the best. You are to be congratulated in your high standards but very importantly not too fussy so that we all feel at home which we did, immediately. We look forward to...more
Everything was great and we've already booked again for next year. Comfortable beds, everything of good quality and exceptionally friendly and helpful hosts. Highly recommended.
We had another wonderful week at Ruby Gem, Penny and Chris couldn’t have been more thoughtful and helpful. The cottage is very clean and well equipped with all anyone could want. The dogs were also very well catered for and loved the homemade biscuits left in a bag for each dog, also very thoughtful dog tags with the holiday address printed on them. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to any one.
Eidelweiss is a lovely cottage, extremely comfortable & well equipped. It’s in the perfect location for visiting all our favourite places in this part of Norfolk. Tracie, the owner, is very welcoming & nothing is too much trouble. This was our 8th stay with ERC & we will definitely return.
Would have given 10 stars for everything! Beautiful place with a massive secure garden. Relaxing and worry free holiday with our 8 dogs. The service from East Ruston Cottages was fantastic - they loaned us 2 crates and a. Doggy Push Chair for our disabled member of the pack. We enjoyed playing out on the garden just as much as the dogs did and then relaxing in front of the telly during the evening. We picked Fenside to get away from bonfire night - didn't hear a thing at all. Would describe this place as heaven for our week's stay.
This was actually our second stay, having stayed in May. The cottage is a short walk away from the beach, but even though we'd booked in half term/Jubilee weekend there was still plenty of space to enjoy the fantastic beach. The cottage ticks all the boxes - enclosed garden, offstreet parking, bath & shower, washing machine etc. Enjoyed the cafes & pubs within walking distance and also within a short drive. The owners are lovely (as is the owner of East Ruston Cottages) and we felt very welcome during our two stays.
Our first time at rooster barn but already booked to return, we just loved the barn, everything there you need and close to the beach for walking our dogs, but also great walks from the village if you don’t want yhe beach, just another beautiful property managed by east Ruston properties ❤️
Just back from a wonderful week at Hidden Gem. On arrival, the house was spotless and beautifully presented. Absolutely everything needed was provided and more. The welcome hamper for both the humans and the dogs was fabulous! Walking out from the kitchen door over the dunes to the beach was just the best and we spent many hours doing just that. Highly recommended The Edge, the airstream cafe at the beach. Great coffee and great food! Such a lovely place for some true rest and relaxation...the sound of nothing but the sea whilst dropping off to sleep can't be beaten! I would certainly rec...more
I’ve had such a lovely week away staying in rose cottage. The owner, Anne was amazing. She texted me the day before our arrival to wish us a safe journey and ask if we needed dog beds and let us know that she would be leaving bread, milk, butter and a cake. She asked if we had any preferences, so I was able to let her know that I had a dairy intolerance, so needed alternatives. She went above and beyond to bake me a diary free cake and provide dairy free butter, milk and cheese. I’ve never had that anywhere I’ve stayed, so was blown away. On the day of arrival we were having issues getting the...more
The Crib is a favourite of mine, so well equipped for humans and dogs. Very comfortable. Stayed there several times now. So many places easily accessible from there too. Thank you.
Excellent accommodation. Perfect rural location so quiet and peaceful but only a ten minute drive to either Walcott or Bacton Beach. Ideal for Bacton woods also for walkies. This bungalow is immaculate. Fantastic bathroom which felt like a spa and great well equipped kitchen. Spacious garden as well if your dogs have any zombies left after their beach walks. I would highly recommend this property and to be honest it’s one of East Ruston Cottages best.
We enjoyed the most wonderful week at this fabulous cottage. It was warm and welcoming, well equipped, and perfectly located a short walk from the beach, pub and village shop. Lovely to walk in to see fresh flower and a welcome pack with jam, eggs etc and even treats for the dogs. With off road parking for a car at the rear, a securely fenced garden and wooden floors downstairs it is the perfect dog friendly cottage. There is further easy parking on the road to the front if like us you travelled in two cars. The wood burning stove made for cosy nights in on the comfy squishy leather sofas. Thr...more
Great location for our Family (in effect four adults) and two labradors, very spacious and perfect for the dogs. Close to the North Norfolk coast and amenities. Totally recommend.
We had such a great stay at Skylark. They have tried so hard to provide everything you could need. It's very small and compact but cosy and comfortable. The location is beautiful and a short walk to stunning beach with hardly anyone on it
Very dog friendly, great location, approximately 200 metres from the dunes and then a short walk to the beach. Outside hose to wash paws and even dog towels provided. Comfortable, modern accommodation made for an enjoyable stay. Recommend the Fisherman's Return pub for meals and Poppys tea rooms for English breakfast. Both only a short walk away. This is our second visit to Winterton. The bonus this time were seeing the seals and pups on the beach. Wonderful.
The house was far to big for our needs. More suited to 8/10 people. Our dogs were very much at home. A gate at the bottom of the stairs would have helped. We placed a folded dog cage there to stop the dogs going up stairs. A ground floor toilet would be useful. The stairs are quite steep may not be suitable for people with mobility issues. The bedrooms were good sizes. The kitchen is well equipped and a reasonable size. We didn’t use the dining room as the kitchen has a big table. The sitting room furniture is starting to shows it’s age. The sofas were not very comfortable. The garden was ver...more
Fabulous! Loved it! We like to feel completely secure with our dogs and this was it although would have liked bolts on inside of the back garden gates or rather that would have been a bonus beautiful cottage and location. We felt cared for ❤️ Thank you
This was our second time here, it's a lovely cottage, it has everything you need for yourself and your dogs, you get a lovely welcome pack, treats for your dogs. We will definitely be booking for next year, we stay in November they have a lovely log burner. Our party is 7 adults and four dogs and it's very comfortable.
We enjoyed a very comfortable 3-night stay at Bristows Barn for a family birthday celebration. Would thoroughly recommend this beautifully equipped home, very spacious kitchen and breakfast area and plenty of seats for us all in the evening in the main lounge.
As always booking was easy liaison with Sue prior to arrival was excellent. On arrival had all we needed with excellent local produce, ranging from sausages to double choc biscuits. Even a beautiful, very large, lemon cake for my birthday. Having stayed before we knew most of local info/geography, but there was an indepth information folder and loads of local and wide range information. In the village is a nice pub serving food and papers in the morning. Local beaches are plentiful and dog friendly, good parking at all, some with dog friendly cafes/pubs. A hgreat property to stay in and...more
VINEYARD COTTAGE 7th-11th November 2022 GOOGLE REVIEW My friend and I have just returned from our second stay in Vineyard Cottage in East Ruston. The first time we stayed there, last year, it ticked all the boxes for a wonderful break. This time was no different. The cottage and its grounds are beautiful and totally secure for Daisy, the cockerpoo and Lottie, the labrador to explore, sniff, play and fight - playfully - I must add, well nine times out of ten anyway! The owners of the cottage, Graham and Collette live just next door and couldn't do enough for us. Even to the point of G...more
We had a marvellous stay at Seaview in late September. The house is well set up, with comfy couches and plenty of floor space in the lounge for dog beds, meaning lovely evening snuggles when it's cold and dark. The large kitchen is a joy to cook in, with views out over the garden and the sea, and the hot tub is the cherry on top. The location (200 yards from the beach) is perfect, and it was fantastic to be able to take the dogs down there everyday, where for parts of the beach they can be completely off lead and have zoomies. Definitely recommend.
Great comfy little house. Nice welcome basket and some eggs and milk in the fridge. A freezer for the dog food too. Very close to the beach which we walked on every day. The night sky stars were outstanding as so lovely and dark. Plenty of dog blankets so we didn't need our own . We'll recommend to our friends.
Everything was lovely. Definitely dog friendly even down to the mugs! The garden was great. The Lodge was great. Good location. Quiet and great value. Would most definitely recommend and will stay again. If anyone is looking for a dog friendly place to stay in Norfolk you can’t go wrong with The Lodge.
Cornerways cottage is a lovely quirky home from home, great if you want a quiet week with dogs, located perfectly for beach lovers, and dog walkers. However, the private roads up to the property and around Eccles are in poor condition, so the drive in is quite bumpy. There is a nice local cafe a walk away. Everything else is a car journey.
Large party of 9 ( 3 adults, 3 teenagers and 3 under 11) and 4 dogs. The house was large enough for all of us and the garden was brilliantly safe and secure. The hot tub was a fantastic addition and was used daily. Fish and chips Friday evening at the village church car park. Easy access to beautifull Sea Palling beach (lots more beautiful beaches to visit) and village pub was great. Lots of places to eat and relax. Took the kids for fun in Great Yarmouth, all enjoyed every minute,(Sling Shot on the front was very popular) lots to do and see. The only drawback for me was a neighbour of the...more
From booking to leaving felt well taken care off. The ability to book extras through the site is fabulous- we got massages from Sonia which were perfect, and my birthday cake was the most delicious thing I’ve eaten for a long time. Also used the discount for boat hire which was a lovely half day out that us and our dog loved.Following the site on Instagram meant we were well prepped for dog friendly activities and had loads of ideas before we came. The actual cottage was gorgeous and our landlords were so helpful- recommendations, welcome box and taking and packing away our supermarket order a...more
The service from East Ruston Cottages is brilliant! We loved Milestone Barn in its quiet position and it was really comfy and perfect for our team of 4 dogs. The fact that crates were provided made our lives so much easier. This is the second East Ruston cottage we stayed in and we already have the third one booked. Highly recommended!
My husband & I have just had a lovely week away at Deepdale Cottage with our two dogs. The cottage was very nice & spacious with a very comfortable bed & great size garden for the dogs to enjoy. Upon arrival was a lovely treat tray for us & the dogs to enjoy & even some milk in the fridge to have a cuppa after our long journey. We had a few queries with a couple of things but Sue from ERC got back to us quickly & got hold of the cottage owner to try & sort them. The cottage is in a great location being only a 5 minute walk to the beautiful Sea Palling beach which we went to everyday alo...more
Lovely cottage in a very pretty location. Very dog friendly with a huge rear garden totally enclosed. The cottage felt really cosy when the fire was lit in the evenings, we used the boat on the broad which the children enjoyed, we would certainly be returning and would recommend the cottage to friends.
A very pretty cottage which is very pet friendly and well located for trips out. We did find the accommodation to be quite basic and the kitchen was extremely small, but we'll equipped. The sofa bed would be fine for children but I'd not recommend it for adults. I think the addition of some sun loungers in the garden would be nice as the outdoor seating isn't overly comfortable. A warm welcome from the owners, which was appreciated. Thank you.
The cottage is very quiet with no neighbours. It is well situated both for the broads and beaches . There is a nice walk through the wood at the back of the property onto a little used public footpath leading to hickling broad or the nature reserve. The garden is fenced although the fencing is only suitable for small dogs as there is a large gap at the top between the wire mash and top pole that an agile dog would get through . We did find the electric heating insufficient on cold nights and the wood burner was in the middle of the room so we did not use it as we did not feel it was safe with ...more
