We had a wonderful time, everything was perfect and they were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend this lovely cottage and will be coming back soon .
We had a great week in this immaculate, cosy and comfortable cottage. It was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need and we were provided with lots of goodies including dog treats and a delicious cake. We and our two dogs had a great time and would love to return. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Lovely comfortable cottage, cosy, decorated to a high standard and the most dog friendly one we’ve ever stayed in. The owners are so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us, they even ensured that the dog treats in our welcome pack didn’t have chicken in as one of our boys has a chicken allergy and brought us extra kindling for the fire when the weather turned cold. This was our first visit to Norfolk and it certainly won’t be our last, the beaches are wonderful and the area is very dog friendly. I would highly recommend the cottage to anyone looking for high standard dog friendly accommodatio...more
Thatch Cottage was a perfect home from home. It accommodated 7 adults and 4 dogs easily, with breakaway space for anyone who wanted it. Gorgeous walks to the beach during the day and nights spent playing games round the dining table. Just lovely.
Our first stay at Manor Barn, Happisburgh and, hopefully, not the last. A beautiful, well equipped cottage and very welcoming, helpful hosts made for a very relaxing stay. As always with East Ruston cottages a truly dog friendly space but Manor Barn has plenty of creature comforts for humans too! An easy 15 minute walk to the beach and a short drive to lovely (Bacton) woods made for a very contented border collie...
It's perfect for dogs and humans. The garden is large and safe - the cottage is warm, comfortable, clean and welcoming.
We had a wonderful stay at The Walnut, it has been renovated to a very high standard. It's exceptionally dog friendly (we took 6) and Paul and Stella were very helpful and friendly. Lovely listening to the owls at night but weren't lucky enough to see any. If I had 1 criticism it would be get rid of the little aga (not a patch on a proper one) and put a normal cooker in!
Stayed at Ollands Farm Barn and had a fantastic week. Great hosts in Kim and Mary Ann. Barn has a fabulous grassed rear garden and a beautiful front courtyard garden, both totally secure so our 9 bichons could run to their hearts content. Plenty of dog friendly beaches just a few minutes drive away. We will definitely be staying again and recommending the Barn to both dog and non dog holidaymakers
Our fourth visit to Hidden Gem! Walks across the dunes and on the beach as this is all right on the doorstep! Highly recommend East Ruston Cottages , There are always welcome goodies for humans and dogs and no hidden charges for your four legged friends . Great location with a dog friendly pub 5 minutes away. We have already booked for next April :)
It was a wow moment when we went inside our cottage, everything you need & more,we took our 6 dogs plenty of room & the garden secure & still in flower..beautiful..it's a central location for all popular beaches & places to visit, will definitely be going again loved peaceful & quiet... Pam
This was our second stay at The Crib and both humans and hounds found it a really relaxing experience, and a real home from home. I don't think we've stayed in such a well equipped holiday cottage before, and absolutely everything was to hand.
What an amazing place to spend a week relaxing with our dogs. Such a beautiful cottage with a huge secure garden and with the beach and countryside walks just a few minutes away
As soon as we opened the door the barn was warm, welcoming and beautifully designed. A delight and for a couple with teenagers or a dog or two perfect. It is not a negative at all but just to note if you have a toddler and more than two dogs maybe there are other options to consider. The top bedroom, which is lovely, has to be accessed from a steep ladder. My mum in her 70’s couldn’t manage this so I and my four year old son stayed up there. This did mean watching his every move negotiating the stairs hence why I say teenagers. They would love it! We were also unlucky with the weather and it r...more
We were looking for a dog-friendly cottage - which this one is in bucket loads. The lovely owner lives next door. He showed us around when we arrived but then left us to our privacy which was great. The cottage is in a wonderful rural location, up a lane with no passing traffic. It sits a few minutes walk from Weavers Way footpath, so you can have lovely walks straight from the front door and it is only a short drive to beaches and other networks of footpaths. Lots of info at the cottage and on East Ruston Cottages website about walks, dog-friendly places to eat etc. We had to leave with a l...more
Had a fabulous stay at Heather cottage in Happisburgh. Very comfortable, clean cottage. All the facilities you need for you and your dogs. Welcome pack very much appreciated. . Have been twice to this cottage and would go again Jackie
Our stay In Skylark was wonderful. A perfect setting right beside the beach. The walks along the beach for hours were perfect and very relaxing. The ability to walk to cafes and pubs that were dog friendly was just what we wanted. Thank you for a perfect few days away.
A very well equipped, clean and welcoming cottage with lovely comfy beds for us humans. Very dog friendly with a good safe outside space and dog beds & throws provided. The welcome packs for both us and our dogs were very nice and well thought out, providing everything we needed on arrival and a few treats too. Lauren and her family were very welcoming, provided advice on some local walks and were on hand & readily helped when we needed them. We'll definitely be returning to this cottage.
Lovely property, nice village, and some great walks nearby (as well as some good local pubs) - thanks for an excellent week!
we had a great stay, with our 4 dogs, at Corner Cottage. Everything we needed was close to hand. Good location for our favorite daily beach, Sea Palling followed by Small Sticks café for veggie breakfast. Will book again for sure
St Benet's is a fab house for us (4 adults and 2 bouncy dogs). The house was very comfy - we loved the sitting room with the beautiful fireplace. Having a secure garden in which the dogs could powernap between long walks was ideal. The beach is 100 yards away - beautiful sand and very dog friendly. Really hope to return soon.
I have a rescue GSD x who, although a big boy, is very frightened of fireworks! I have previously stayed at an East Ruston cottage in the summer and so discussed where best to go in November and they suggested The Lodge. The Lodge is indeed quiet. We heard some fireworks but they were too far away to cause distress. I'm afraid that this review won't help anyone looking for a firework free 2020..... cos I have already booked for next year! I am so looking forward to repeating the long walks on the beach and along the Weavers Way footpath and just chilling out x
A lovely quirky cottage, super comfy sofas, log burner, well equipped, log burner, super views and enclosed garden perfect for your doggy companions. Only a short walk to join the Weavers way for excellent walks and dog friendly pub serving great food within comfortable walking distance. Surrounded by superb beaches, what more could you ask for ?
We have stayed at this beautiful little barn many times & each time we go up I say to my husband that I’m going to change the locks as we never want to leave. Pat & Richard are so accommodating ,I’m sure there’s not that many people ,that would let you stay in there home with a 4 month puppy . It’s home from home , both of our girls loved going there and was relaxed and settled straight away just like our little Martha. Perfect location for the beach , plus there’s beautiful walks straight outside the door as well , what more do you need .
We knew it was old fashioned which suited us as a family but it needs some updating/investment. For example; The kitchen units we’re dirty. It’s had its day and needs replacing. There are lots of traditional kitchens in the marketplace which would suit this style of home. Some of the lampshades are very old, and again, in need of updating. Because it does need some investment, it appears a little untidy in places, I’m afraid.
Spent a fantastic week staying in the Shepherd’s hut with my partner and our dog. We are all tall (dog included!) but we didn’t feel at all restricted for space in this cosy hut. Lots of clever design features to maximise space and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
