After a comfortable and peaceful sleep, make a cup of tea whilst looking out to sea, pop outside and watch the early morning Sun. Jump into your ride, which is parked alongside. Poodle down to Mundesley to seek Caffeine from Rustons coffee shop (Don’t forget the dog treats). BEWARE if you book here this could happen to you……
All those who book this amazing property are guaranteed relaxing comfort and joy in a beautifully appointed seaside residence. The views of the deserted beach and sea from The Lookout will sustain you through any of the colder months of the year. The quality of the furnishings and appliances are second to none. The overall feel of satisfaction engulfed by this property will endure and create a desire to return as soon as possible.
Bumblebee Cottage is a gorgeous comfy cottage that has everything you need for a relaxing stay in Norfolk. It is very clean and makes it a relaxing stay. The welcome booklet we received prior to stopping was excellent, full of useful tips for the area, details of the property and local amenities. We were warmly greeted by Paul and Stella and they checked in on us throughout our stay ensuring we had everything. In addition they let us know about a local boat trip viewing the eclipse ( something we hadn't noticed ) and even provided us with eclipse glasses. They really go over and above to make...more
Our second stay at Malthouse Farm Barn and I’m sure not our last! The accommodation is absolutely fabulous inside and out. Totally dog and human friendly, everything you need is there. We have stayed in a lot of holiday cottages over the years and can say categorically this is the best. The large, walled garden is lovely to sit in and totally dog safe. It has the added bonus of a dog shower inside a brick outhouse, our two had a spa treatment after each beach visit. The barn is huge and beautifully appointed. It is scrupulously clean everywhere - usually I feel I have to wash crockery etc befo...more
This is our second annual visit with Paul and Stella, who are amazing hosts, we stay as a family in Bumblebee and Peanut cottages next door to each other (our boy pups no longer get along) and everything was as good as we remembered in 2025 this year for 2026. It was my 50th birthday the day we arrived and I had a beautiful birthday cake in the cottage and my husband said (this is rare) I really love it here this is my favourite ERC getaway stay. The lovely rural location which I love the peace and quiet, but literally 2 minute drive from the ⛱️ beaches. The dogs my 3 mastiffs were so much cal...more
I can honestly say I have never stayed in such a well equipped cottage. It was absolutely spotless and everything supplied was to a very good quality (found a new favourite shower gel). Communication from the host was second to none and went above and beyond to make our stay easier. Amazing
We have just enjoyed a lovely break at Sea Urchin, it's a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the beach. The property has everything you need, and Robert is fantastic at assisting with anything you need, we came with my mother in law and 2 daughters along with our 2 dogs, its the first laxe we've ever stayed where we are provided dog towels and treats. We have loved our stay thank you
We had the most wonderful stay in Manor Barn. The house and garden are truly dog friendly, our Cocker Spaniel and friend's 2 Terriers were so happy there and we were so relaxed with the kitchen door open, they could wander in and out without worrying about them escaping. Our cocker sleeps in a crate and there was choice of 4 different sizes, a joy not having to pack one in the car. Dog bowls (plenty), dog towels and everything you could need are all supplied. You literally only need to bring their food and beds. The Barn is located in a lovely area for dog walks, with a beach within walking...more
We enjoyed our stay at this cottage, very welcoming, lovely and clean. Very quickly felt like home away from home.
We absolutely loved Oak Cottage. It had everything we needed for us and our two greyhounds. We’re fussy about sleeping arrangements and this suited us (and the dogs) perfectly. Having the beds made up with dog friendly bed linen meant we didn’t have to bring ours with us which was great. Everything was clean, bright and in good condition. The kitchen was so well equipped with everything you could need for meals, as well as plenty of cleaning products, refuse sacks, foil, cling film, dishwasher tablets etc. Easy to use oven, which is a bonus for me. The bathroom had nice hand wash, shower gel a...more
Our 2nd visit to this fabulous holiday home. The dogs and I spent a lot of time in the garden as it was hot! The shady trees were much appreciated by my pack. The living room was also lovely and cool for the pack to relax when I went to the beach. When the thunderstorms came, we sat in the big conservatory and listened to the rain. Quite spectacular. Being able to see the top of the lighthouse from the kitchen window was very special and I enjoyed the short walk up to the Happisburgh carpark to the clifftop FYR sauna experience. Highly recommend this. Leonie, the owner, is very responsive...more
Really lovely 2 bed bungalow, everything you need for a lovely break with your furry friends. The paddock is great to let the dogs play. Our setter pup made friends with guests in the two other properties dogs..
This was our second stay here, and it did not disappoint! The cottage was spotlessly clean, superb welcome pack, and as before, exceedingly dog friendly. The facilities ate all you could possibly wish for, and I couldn't recommend it highly enough
Stones Throw is a very clean and comfortable bungalow in a quiet location. The bungalow has a secure garden and is very dog friendly. It’s a short walk to a beautiful beach which was fantastic for our young and energetic dog. Bacton Woods and Pigneys Woods are not far away and perfect for walking during the hot weather. Local cafes, shop, pub, two fish and chip shops and a Chinese takeaway in walking distance. We really enjoyed our visit to North Norfolk very much and would love to return again. After reading lots of reviews we can definitely confirm that East Rushton Cottages delivered on ...more
We spent 4 comfortable nights in The Salty Seadog. We loved the proximity to the beach- just 5 minutes walk, the compact and well appointed lodge and the sea breeze so cooling after the heat of London. The lodge was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay and we loved sitting out on the decking in the evening listening to the waves and looking at the stars. We slept well in the comfortable bed and appreciated the showers (one for each of the two bedrooms) with constant hot water. The owner Helen responded quickly to any queries we had and provided information on local eve...more
Dormy is a really lovely property, situated in a quiet, beach location. The property is maintained to a really high standard and was very clean throughout. Location was amazing with only a 3 minute walk to endless sandy beaches with really easy access. Super dog friendly and great for our two dogs with lots of towels, poo bags and even a dog stroller for our older dog. Really recommend this for anyone looking for a dog friendly, quiet break by the sea.
This is our second visit to this lovely cottage beautifully presented from the moment you arrive the field for the dogs to run in is ideal. Everything has been thought of it’s definitely luxury to a high standard. The welcome hamper for us & our 5 dogs was a lovely touch even included a birthday cake & card. The owners are onsite & are friendly & helpful. The cottage is ideally situated for the beach, wooded walks. Stalham is a couple of miles away which has a supermarket, fish & chip shop & other takeaways also a vet which we have had to use. This accommodation is 1st class!
Lovely relaxing weekend away at Ruby Gem. A welcome treat basket ws left by the owners and we just put the car on the drive and didn't use it all weekend because the village had everything we wanted - pub, chippy, shop, cafe in the village and on the beach. We even went swimming in the sea and, given the hot summer we've had, it was warm - not bad for the North Sea!
Once again we have thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Bristow Barn, we love the location being a little out of the way we don’t have to worry about our reactive Labrador and we can relax . We will look forward to our fifth visit probably in early autumn. Sheila
Superb cottage close to beach, shop, pub and chippy. Only downside was bathroom downstairs. Nice welcome pack
We found the grove to be in a quiet spot which was convenient for both shopping and beaches would highly recommend .
Enjoyed our stay at white cottage for the 2nd time . Lovely cottage in a beautiful location, will be booking again very soon .
We have just had a great week at The Forge with our dog. Accommodation was first class, well equipped and had everything needed to make our stay very comfortable. The welcome pack for us and a separate one for our dog was excellent. Lauren’s suggested itinerary was brilliant and very useful and helped us find lots of lovely dog friendly beaches in the area. If you are looking for dog friendly accommodation in Norfolk we would recommend here.
Fantastic stay, far exceeded our expectations. I can’t praise the accommodation, facilities and hosts enough . Amazing selection of welcome goodies for both humans and doggies on arrival . What made our stay extra special is the helpfulness of our hosts . Would happily return in a heartbeat . Thank you so much for a wonderful stay
The whole experience was excellent. The house was gorgeous and the area lovely. This was the first holiday with our dogs and will do it again.
We had a wonderful stay at Corner Cottage. Claudia was in contact before, during and after our arrival so we knew we could reach out if we had any problems. Cottage was clean and well presented when we arrived and the two humans and one dog really enjoyed our welcome goodies!! Our bed was comfy and the dog had the choice of many! Kitchen is well equipped if you don’t want to eat out. The garden in late summer was absolutely beautiful and a real delight.
A lovely week away at Bristow's Barn, with 3 generations and 2 dogs enjoying quality time. Great accommodation with good separation of rooms to allow for privacy. All very comfortable and well appointed. Lovely walks from the door.
The cottage had everything your own home had plus - I now have to buy my husband a coffee machine!!!, Sofas and beds soft and comfortable and the home made marmalade, well all we left was the empty jar. The sea isn't suitable for young children due to large waves and quite a strong undercurrent but that said my 7 year old grandson had a great time on a small body board with both parents in the water with him, plus he was wearing a flotation jacket. And along that line we kept our small dogs on a long lead to prevent any mishaps, they had a great time too. The garden is large and secure allowin...more
We had a lovely week here, and the weather was perfect. It’s in a great location - we could walk to the beach! And the beach amenities are excellent: car park, toilets and a great cafe. Cafe & post office within walking distance as well as local shop open until 9pm. Property owners very helpful and easy to contact. Hope to return again!
Great cottage ideally located by the beach for great dog walks. Welcome cake and scones were a lovely touch. Only downside is that is very little to do in Bacton, also the local pub didn't offer food during our stay although there are a couple within easy driving distance that did. Overall a nice stay with the dogs who were well accommodated for.
We had a week in Rooster Barn and really loved it - it's a quiet location but close to many great Norfolk locations. Very well stocked for guests and doggies alike, with a great secure garden - our 4 Galgos loved running around in it and we had no worries about them getting out. We'll definitely be back!
A lovely bungalow which provided everything for myself and the dogs. I will be returning there again.
Small but perfectly formed! This is a great little cottage to stay in for a holiday. It has everything that you would need wrapped up into one small little package. The beach is at the end of the road, with convenience stores nearby. Plenty to look at and see for everyone. I would definitely recommend.
Lovely little place, fabulous garden for our 3 sausage dogs to explore. If I was looking to give one piece of feedback to improve it would be extremely hard to do as there is everything you need there, pots, pans, cutlery and crockery, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine. Lovely games room upstairs it would be great if there was a sofa bed up there for additional area for sleeping but I guess the stairs may put some off from sleeping up there. It was convenient for a day in the broads, a visit to the water gardens, Horsey beach to see the seals. I hope we will return again soon.
Our first stay with ERC- down in Norfolk for annual Basset Beach invasion. Cottage perfect for our purposes - everything a dog could require was provided! Sofa stairs, cool mat, crates , buggies, rigid doggie paddling pool….you name it, it was there. Great location for beaches, forests, countryside walks. Very comfortable for humans too. Highly recommended
A wonderful place to go to for a peaceful holiday,a realy well thought out chalet, and plenty ofdog bowls, great walks and close to Winterton village, also a realy nice dog friendly cafe,we will be going back there again, its our go to place, from now on,happy days.
We had a brilliant, relaxing stay with our extended family in Thatch Cottage. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us and our dog Pepper (she loved the spacious, well inclosed garden, full of wildlife and fruit trees). This year we had to do a bit of research into beaches that were wheelchair accessible and dog friendly (it turned out to be a bit of a challenge) The winners were, Cart Gap, but only when the tide is right out or the bottom of the access ramp is under water, and it took 3adults to push the chair up the steep incline. The best was Bacton but not by the car park as that ramp en...more
A very cosy, well equipped property set back a short distance from the main road which runs alongside the beach. It was lovely to be so close to the sea and listen to the waves. Such a brilliant location also for the nearby cafe, chip shop and convenience store. Slightly further walk to other cafes and restaurants at Bacton.
Very comfortable Lodge well equipped with lovely large garden for the dogs. Peaceful setting & cozy warm Lodge
Really enjoyed our week at this beautifully renovated cottage. Walking the dogs by the marina was a treat for them and us. Local beaches in easy reach by car and many were almost empty and dog friendly. A perfect location for a week away in early autumn
We had a lovely time at badger retreat with our two dog. Hosts where very friendly and accommodating, couldn't do more for us. Very dog friendly with a beautiful country garden enclosed by a low stone fence, enough to keep dogs that do not jump fences within the retreat grounds. Lovely walk along the disused railway track only a few minutes walk from the property and a dog friendly sandy beach a 10 minute drive away.
Wow! We had the best holiday away here. The caravan was super clean and had all the essentials we needed. The fenced in garden was perfect for our older dog! The staff were nothing but amazing. Super friendly and helpful! We’re already planning our next stay and we couldn’t be any more excited. Would 100% recommend
Vineyard cottage has everything you need, including for the dog. We had some questions ahead of our arrival that the owners answered super quickly. The cottage is well equipped at the garden is perfect; our cavapoo loved exploring around, and as an owner, knowing it's secure meant we could leave him to it. There are some lovely walks down Weavers Way that you can do from the door of the cottage. We had a perfect break thanks
Comfortable stay. Great location to walk to the beach. Would recommend an outside hose to wash dogs.
We have just returned from a long weekend in East Cottage, Waxham. Just wanted to say how brilliant the cottage was, secure garden, the setting on the farm was so peaceful, and the hot tub was just amazing. We had a lovely long walk every morning to Waxham beach and then to Dunes cafe for breakfast!! Every cafe and pub we went to was so dog friendly… I can not recommend the cottage and area enough. We also stopped off at Happisburgh dog park on the way there and back, which again, we would recommend to run some energy off before/after travelling!!
We had a lovely stay at Sunny Cottage, which is beautifully presented, very comfortable and equipped to a high standard. The location is excellent for exploring North Norfolk, and we particularly appreciated how genuinely dog-friendly the cottage is. The secure garden was fantastic for the dogs, and the treats and lovely box of quality dog toys were such thoughtful touches from the owner. We did find the Aga difficult to get use, and the lack of a freezer was inconvenient, so we ended up eating out more than we had planned. Parking and access were also a little challenging, as there is no p...more
We have been before and love it. Totally secure garden for the dogs. It’s clean and comfortable and a nice quiet short walk to the beach where the seals were hanging out. Only reason for 4 * was no towels and no response on that. Would recommend.
Great property. Some properties say dog friendly but are really only dog tolerant. Red roofs are truly dog friendly as we tested to the max with a total of seven dogs. The garden is great for dogs and young children (and we had them to). Very relaxing. Well provisioned. Views over the broads lovely. Launching kayaks from the sailing club easy with friendly folk.
Recently spent a family week here with two dogs who were the reason for booking Fenside. Lovely house, everything you could possibly want was provided for, catering for all ages. Games, books, table tennis, trampoline, mini football pitch and a tranquil area by the Broads at the bottom of the garden to name a few. The garden is BIG and totally secure and our golden retriever, who loves to run, had a great time. Kay the owner was incredibly responsive to our questions. Beaches were only 20 minutes away and we had great spa treatments courtesy of Sonya in Happisburgh. Cannot recommend high...more
