A perfect, relaxing, peaceful week at a very beautiful cottage. Bumblebee has been lovingly restored to a very high standard. The owners were very friendly & happy to have a chat & left us with a very generous welcome hamper on arrival. Shared with The Walnut & The Peanut, the dog paddock is a great addition & there are excellent walks from the door & the nearest beach is only a few minutes drive. Overall, we've had a really lovely week with some great weather for March!

We stayed in Bumblebee for Christmas and loved it so much we changed our springtime booking from the adjoining, and equally welcoming, Peanut to stay again in Bumblebee.

We were welcomed back by Paul and Stella, the owners, and their dogs, Mister and Biff. There were immediate offers of help to unload our cars and queries as to whether there was anything else we needed.

Having been here just a few weeks previously, it was easy to quickly get settled into Bumblebee. At Christmas our sprocker, Herbie, had really taken to the dog bed provided in the cottage. We’d been unable to find one at Latham’s (Potter Heigham) but at the end of January Paul and Stella messaged to say they’d found one and bought it for us if we’d still like it - what service! So, one of our settling in activities was opening Herbie’s new bed, which he loved.

We made the most of the shared dog Paddock at the property but also used nearby Happisburg Dog Park, Tilly’s Meadow (Erpingham) and Martham Paw Ground secure fields to ensure Herbie had lots of safe off-lead running. A good gallop about every morning helped calm our giddy lad so that we could then enjoy the local eateries - The Star Inn at Lessingham and Watson’s at Bacton being two excellent, truly dog-welcoming establishments.

I loved using Bumblebee’s hot tub most days - very soothing for my old lady knees! For the cooler evenings it was a treat to light the wood burner then settle down to watch TV with Herbie curled up on his new bed or between us on the sofa. When bed beckoned we all transferred to the comfortable bedroom. All East Ruston Cottages allow guests to have their dog(s) sleep with them as long as they take their own bedding. Having made up the comfy king-sized bed we were all set for undisturbed sleep in the beautiful and peaceful countryside where Willow Tree Holidays’ properties are situated.

Unfortunately I took a tumble on the last evening of our stay, landing hard on my wrist. By morning it was obvious I wasn’t going to be able to drive and we were going to need to leave one of our cars, returning for it the following day. Again, Paul and Stella were so helpful and we worked out a plan of action before leaving. When my husband and brother returned on the Sunday they were welcomed in for a cuppa before making their return journey.

Despite the unfortunate ending to our stay we still had a really lovely week in Bumblebee and we’ve already booked a winter break there AND an autumn break with friends in The Walnut, Paul and Stella’s 4 berth cottage.

The Bumblebee was probably the best holiday cottage we’ve ever stayed in! From the communication prior to arrival, the warm welcome, generous and personalised hamper of goodies, the information available on the local area, the comfy bed, the dog friendliness and enclosed paddock area, the cosy wood burner, the excellent decor and finish to the cottage, I could go on!

We had a brilliant week exploring the empty beaches with our GSP who loves to run, as well as walks from the doorstep, and National Trust properties nearby.

We would absolutely return to this property without question, our only disappointment is that it’s already booked for next New Year!

Thanks to Paul and Stella for a wonderful week of recharging our batteries after a busy Christmas period, you have a really fantastic set up at Willow Farm.

This is our first booking through East Ruston Cottages and I would unreservedly recommend the company to other dog owners. Their website is excellent, easy to use and made choosing our holiday an enjoyable experience.

And that choice was Bumblebee, a little gem of a holiday cottage. On arrival it was spotlessly clean, well-equipped and beautifully decorated for the festive season with many thoughtful personal touches.

The welcome hamper of provisions was exceedingly generous, full of premium quality items. Under the Christmas tree was a big pile of presents for us, all edible and all yummy - the Toffiffee were a delicious blast from the past! And the four-legged guests weren’t forgotten - hanging from the mantelpiece was a Christmas stocking for Herbie, our young sprocker, which was truly paw-some!

Bumblebee is built for relaxation, from its tranquil setting, comfortable furnishings and private hot tub, to evenings in front of the wood burner, with Herbie loving the squishy dog bed, before we humans retired to the comfy king-sized bed. That said, Bumblebee is also a very practical cottage. The kitchen is compact but contained everything I needed to cook our Christmas lunch and has appliances that were delightfully straightforward to use, not always the case in holiday properties.

We had a really lovely Christmas in Bumblebee. Paul & Stella are so welcoming and helpful and we’re eagerly looking forward to returning very soon.

Bumblebee is a well thought through modern cottage with lots of character. Paul and Stella are owners who clearly have a passion for their business. This is a great dog friendly property but doesn’t let the humans down either. Lots of mod cons, comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. It’s in a quiet but accessible location.
The facilities for dogs are great from the outside shower to paddock to lots of dog toys and throws.
I really trust East Rushton Cottages on their choice for their portfolio and Bumblebee and Willow tree holidays are a winner.
It came recommended by Sue for the quiet location for a reactive Cairn to escape fireworks and it delivered.
It’s been a great find for us , and hopefully we will return.

The cottage had everything for a truly dog friendly stay. The owners were warm and welcoming, and left us a lovely welcome basket - thank you! The hot tub was such a bonus at the end of a day out. We really liked the local area and found lots to do with our whippet (Lady). Thank you for a lovely stay.

East Ruston cottages make the booking process easy and personal ,
The cottage app provides all necessary information at your fingertips, including arrival details appliance information wifi code info on local area and more.
We loved Bumblebee,
Paul and Stella were welcoming and friendly and provided a lovely welcome basket to get our holiday started they have created a holiday cottage filled with love and care for the comfort of humans and doggy guests
The cottage had everything needed for us and Flora our English Setter
The bed was super comfy a cosy lounge with smart Tv and wood burner made it homely
Flora loved the doggy bed and the paddock was super safe for stretching her legs and doing what dogs need to do !
The hot tub was perfect after our days out walking and time on the beautiful quiet beaches
The area is calm and peaceful with lovely sunrise and sunsets we were lucky to see the Northern lights
The star at Lessingham is a 20 minute walk along a quiet lane or over the field footpath and worth a visit for food or just a drink
I had a blissful afternoon with Sonia at Tranquillity beauty ( just down the road )
We enjoyed visiting The poppy line at Sherringham and the Bure Valley railway
We also enjoyed a walk at Sheringham park Weybourne
The local beaches are all lovely and sometimes we didn’t have to share !!
We will be back !!

Well what can I say, everything about Bumblebee was of a very high standard. This was our first holiday with Frankie, our Cocker Spaniel and I have to admit I was a bit worried, would he settle, how would he behave? I needn’t have worried he settled very well and we had an excellent holiday and we were very lucky with the weather too.
There are so many lovely places to visit within a short journey of the cottage.
We will definitely be returning.

Bumblebee cottage is lovely. It has everything you need for a holiday. The property was very clean and beautifully finished. The large paddock was wonderful for the dogs, it even had a warm tap outside to shower the dogs if needed. Situated a short walk from a lovely pub. It is very peaceful and the lighthouse can be seen from the property. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Bumblebee cottage was the most tranquil holiday cottage I have ever stayed in. Absolutely beautiful scenery too look out on .Many places to visit nearby and plenty of walks for dogs. Pubs and cafes all very dog friendly and selected areas on beaches.

Perfectly peaceful but just a short drive to everything, Bumblebee is the best yet! East Ruston Cottages always get it right but Bumblebee is just perfect. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and comfortable. The goodies basket was delicious (super baked goods), the dogs loved the play field and our bed was more comfortable than at home (seriously!). Beautiful views from hot tub heaven every evening and cool early morning strolls along quiet lanes & tracks. We would highly recommend Bumblebee as a super dog friendly and comfortable cottage for two people. Spotlessly clean with everything needed for a relaxing break. Thank you ERC & Bumblebee Owners.

We have 7 rescue pugs and finding somewhere that doesn't panic the minute you mention 7 is amazing.
Cannot recommend staying at Bumblebee Cottage enough we left yesterday and it was hard to leave.

Paul and Stella are a lovely couple they have made their properties little slices of heaven, the cottage is immaculate well thought out in design and cleaned to an exceptionally high standard, set on private peaceful and very lovely grounds the location and we have had the best time
The accommodations are not just dog friendly they are all above and beyond and designed with our furry pawed babies in mind.

Fabulous welcome pack on arrival eith lots of yummy treats for us but also with treats for the dogs!
They also provided bowls, towels, spare leads, beds, crates and throws for the furniture so the doggies can sit with us for snuggles.
We also had a doggy pram provided for our senior Pug which made this trip easy for us and fun for them.

Happisburgh is beautiful we were close to the beaches but having the paddock was perfect for lazy days and made our holiday planning so much easier, an amazing relaxing dog friendly place we have already booked to come to Bumblebee Cottage for August 2025 xxx

Bumblebee was perfect for us and our 3 Westies, two of them elderly so being able to let them wonder about the lovely well kept paddock was amazing for them. The quality of the Bumblebee with great furnishings and equipment was spot on. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners. Hot tub was an added bonus in the evenings with a glass of wine. Weather wasn’t the best but we had an enjoyable week.

Only negative and I hate to say this is we like to read before bed and found the lighting in the bedroom a bit too dark. The bedside lamps are beautiful but more for decoration than being able to pick up a book and read a couple of chapters before sleep

We have had a most relaxing week here. The dogs have loved the local walks and beaches, the paddock to play in and the welcome biscuits.
We have loved everything about the cottage, from the welcome hamper to everything inside and outside. Relaxing evenings in the hot tub and a nice peaceful area to relax outside. We will definitely be returning as soon as we are able to.

The cottage and owners were first class, everything you and your four legged friend could ask for. We loved the area, so many fantastic beaches and walks. There were recommendations for places to eat and drink, with your dog.
Generally with all the dog orientated information the holiday was stress free. Which made it even better. We will return later in the year with the confidence that we will be chilling in comfort. We loved it.

Where to start?
Stella and Paul have created an idyllic and beautiful holiday spot. The quality of accommodation is inspiring. Everything is thought of for both people and their four-legged family members. You just can’t say enough about the hosts and the cottages. We live nearby and stayed while undertaking renos. We have already recommended to friends and family and would most certainly stay again! Perfection.

What a lovely property! As soon as you walked in you could appreciate the effort the owners have put in. The decor, clean and spacious and with everything we needed and more. A lovely generous welcome pack on arrival with treats included for our dogs along with bowls, towels and beds for them. Great location for walks and close to several different beaches. The dogs had use of courtyard and secure green which they made good use of whilst we relaxed in the hot tub! The owners are on site and were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and would love to come back soon.

We stayed at the new Bumblebee cottage as a family group along with The Walnut and The Peanut. We were welcomed with a lovely basket of local goodies. The cottage is beautifully furnished and the log burner is great for cosy evenings. There are lovely views over the fields through the windows and stable door. Everything you could need is provided for humans and dogs. The hot tub was so relaxing with towelling robes provided and checked by the owners daily. Thank you for a lovely stay and we hope to be back soon!

Our stay at The Bumblebee was as perfect as it could be. Everything was exceptionally clean and beautifully presented throughout.
Our two greyhounds enjoyed the local walks and ambling around the paddock.
The hot tub was an added bonus.
Paul and Stella made us feel very welcome and we can't wait to return.

Just had a great two weeks at Bumblebee. Perfect for us and our two dogs. Everything provided that we needed and a lovely welcome basket. Large shared paddock right outside was easy to use, torches and outside lights provided for use last thing at night. About a mile and a half flat walk to the beach at Cart gap which has a little cafe with beach huts provided for dog owners. The whole area is very dog friendly. Paul and Stella were very welcoming and helpful. We are already planning our next visit.
