Recently come home from a great week at Corner Cottage. What a great find this place was !close to beaches, woods .Perfect for us and our dogs . Welcoming ,clean and practical the owners have thought of everything we may have needed. Peaceful surroundings .Close to the Lessingham Star where we had 2 great meals. Owner was very helpful and communicated well to make us feel welcome . . I am sure we will book this cottage again . Thank you Claudia and East Ruston Cottages .

Corner Cottage is a tranquil place, whether looking across to horses peacefully grazing from the bedroom window or looking out across fields catching the late afternoon sun whilst sitting on the garden swing seat.

Perfectly secure and comfortable for our reactive dog. Indoors is a great space, well equipped and spacious. Dog treats and dog beds aplenty.

We walked from the cottage to Cart Gap beach and Happisburgh, and drove to other beautiful beaches.

We couldn't rate Corner Cottage and our hosts more highly.

Our first time in this cottage and we love it! Lots of lovely goodies for the dogs and humans to enjoy. Plenty of room for everyone, the children loved the garden, so did we. The cottage is very comfortable and practical; we all liked the pictures on the walls! Kitchen is so well equipped, which was so helpful with lots to feed. Even had chairs for the beach - so thoughtful. And the games came in handy too. Hope to return to this lovely cottage

This is our third stay at Corner Cottage and we still love it just as much as the first. Our dog knows as soon as we pull up, where we are! He was absolutely desperate to get inside and get his head in the dog toy basket. He appreciated the biscuits and now believes Corner Cottage is an an all inclusive buffet provided for his needs! Inside is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's spacious and clean and has many dog bits, lots of beds, towels, extra leads and yellow bits for reactive dogs, which was great for our boy.
Its such a great stay for our reactive Lab, we don't have to worry when we stay, we know he isn't going to be on high alert at every sound as its so quiet. Our teens went straight upstairs to claim their rooms! All of the rooms are really spacious and have plenty of storage for hanging clothes. Its so quiet and peaceful, the only thing you'll hear is birdsong. There is plenty of space inside, which is handy with my teens being six feet!
There is plenty of equipment in the kitchen, if you wanted to cook, everything is there for ease. The coffee machine was well used and appreciated. There is a big fridge freezer and also a smaller fridge, so plenty of space to stock up. Having two bathrooms is also a plus for us. The shower is great too. We ate out at The Star and The Ship Inn at Mundesley both do brilliant food but is worth booking in beforehand as The Star gets booked up quickly! We always get a Chiense from Oriental Garden, we have never had a bad takeaway from them. We also had fish and chips from Kingfisher Cafe, which was really good. Lunch at Smallsticks, the best scones and cakes! We had many trips to Cart Gap beach, a thirty minute walk or four minutes in the car. Cart Gap is great even for our reactive lab there is plenty of beach and its not overcrowded.
The outside hot tap in the garden was really useful to wash our lab after the beach. We made a stop to Neros by the Lighthouse to buy some more biscuits to take home. They donate all of the money to a dog shelter in Greece. There is a little shack outside to pick your biscuits. The garden is beautiful, I have never seen so many butterflies! The garden is very secure too, which meant we didn't have to worry about letting our boy out. I absolutely love the garden swing, just sitting there and taking in the views and listening to the birds is so relaxing. We went for some lovely walks. Bacton woods is a must, plenty of space even with a reactive dog! There is a dog park ten minute's away which can be booked. So much time and thought has been put into Corner Cottage by Claudia and Lenny to ensure the perfect stay. Thank you for the thoughtful hamper. nauturally Loki approved the biscuits and especially loves the Nero biscuits. The homemade brownies are literally the best I've ever had! We made use of the fire too. Thank you so much for allowing us to coming back for a third stay, we will undoubtedly be back next year, this has become our favourite place for a break and somewhere we can really relax and get away from everything. We know we will keep booking Corner Cottage in years to come as it ticks so many boxes for us and is the perfect place for a reactive dog. If you're thinking of booking, you won't be disappointed!

We had an absolutely wonderful week at Corner Cottage. The cottage was beautiful inside and out. The beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed and more, it was spotlessly clean and smelled fresh (definitely a deal breaker for me- can't stand fusty/ dodgy smells in holiday accommodation!) and the shower was amazing. The furnishings and decor were really nice throughout, felt like we were staying in a lovely home rather than just a holiday let. The welcome packs for both humans and dogs were brilliant, so many delicious treats, mostly from local suppliers, including the most delicious home baked chocolate brownies. We arranged for a supermarket delivery before we arrived which was received and put away all ready fo us when we got there after a long drive which was so appreciated. The location was so peaceful, right in the countryside with lovely walks along country lanes and footpaths right from the door. And of course wonderful beaches just 5 minutes drive away.
And where do I start with how doggy friendly it was!! I think Baxter our miniature schnauzer would have been happy to stay forever. Dog beds, bowls, towels, spare leads, toys……….everything! We especially appreciated the “Anxious dog” yellow equipment and made use of the yellow lead and “keep your distance” lead cover provided to ask people to give our reactive boy space when out and about. The garden was so peaceful and safe. We loved sitting on the swinging seat watching all the butterflies on the buddleia bush and Baxter loved having space for his post dinner zoomies. We all loved walking along the beach in the evenings. Happisburgh was our favourite but Cart Gap was gorgeous too. I'm not sure I've ever seen Baxter so happy and excited before, he just loved the beach so much.
The whole experience of booking through East Ruston Cottages was just wonderful, the information provided about the cottage and the local area, especially dog friendly cafés and days out was so comprehensive and useful. We felt truly welcomed and looked after from start to finish. We would love to return. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing holiday.

We had a wonderful stay last week in Corner Cottage. It's a beautiful place with stunning views and perfect for long walks. Our dog loved every second of her time there. Can't speak highly enough about Corner cottage. Lovely property with loads of space inside and out. The garden was so peaceful with amazing views across the Norfolk countryside. The host was on hand to answer any queries, and check in was seamless. This was our first trip to Norfolk and has set a very high bar. The closest beaches were stunning with plenty of others to choose from nearby. Highly recommended

Our second stay at Corner Cottage and enjoyed it as much as the first.

Due to the heatwave, the dogs (and us!) spent a lot of time in the beautiful garden, plenty of shaded areas throughout the day and very secure.

Lovely views over fields from almost every window, sunsets were stunning and it was so peaceful.

Easy few minute drive to a lovely beach at Cart Gap and lots of quiet scenic walks from the door.

We have just returned from a lovely week’s holiday at Corner Cottage. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable and very charming with a beautiful garden. It was well stocked with maps, books, games and dvds, plus a great welcome pack. Our 4 dogs were very well catered for as well, with treats provided, as well as throws, bowls and bedding. This made travelling with the dogs so much easier, as did having a garden that we knew was completely secure for them. The owners attention through the holiday could not be faulted, and I’m sure we will be using this company again.

We chose the perfect place for our 8 month old labrador puppy’s first holiday. Corner Cottage had everything you needed and more…towels, toys, poo bags, etc and the treats for dogs and humans! It was so nice to be able to go on walks straight from the door, and the garden was beautiful to relax in if we didn’t want to travel too far. We visited so many different places and feel we haven’t scratched the surface so we’ll definitely be back!

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming holiday cottage! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Corner Cottage truly welcomes dogs—not just tolerates them. Our furry friend, Max (the Weimaraner)),was greeted with treats, a comfy dog bed, bowls and everything else doggie he could possibly need. It felt like they had thought of everything to make dogs feel at home.

The cottage itself was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated, with thoughtful touches throughout. The Easter decorations and locally sourced goodies were a lovely touch. The fully enclosed garden was a huge bonus—safe and secure, so Max could run and play without us worrying. There were also fantastic walks right from the doorstep, with dog-friendly pubs and beaches nearby.

It’s rare to find a place that gets the balance so right between luxury and genuine pet-friendliness, but Claudia and Lennie at Corner Cottage nailed it. We felt relaxed and completely at ease, knowing Max was just as comfortable and welcome as we were.

We’ll definitely be back—and recommending it to all our dog-loving friends. Five stars all the way!

Wonderful cottage with lots of character and charm, balanced with comfort. The garden is very pretty and secure which gave peace of mind when away with the dogs. The cottage is semi detached and the neighbours have a gorgeous little dog whose out most of the day, unfortunately our reactive dog did struggle with this.
I have slightly marked down on location for us as although the roads are a lot quieter compared to major routes, it was a busy route for heading to Carp Gap beach so we didn’t manage a dog walk straight from the cottage. However, if you’re happy, as we were, to drive to walk destinations it works great. We visited Carp Gap and Bacton Wood (stunning).
The cottage is very comfortable and clean, although both myself and my husband struggled getting comfortable with the mattress, again personal preference. The welcome basket is a lovely touch and the host was in touch at the start and end of our stay which was perfect & kind.

Sorry to hear the mattress wasn’t quite your cup of tea — we know everyone has their own Goldilocks standard when it comes to beds: too soft, too firm, just right… it's a tricky business and is discussed over and over again by owners when it comes to choosing mattresses for their cottages. In the meantime, we hope the peaceful countryside, dog-friendly pub, and happy tail wags made up for it! Annoyingly the road was a bit busier than usual during your stay because of the roadworks and people using it as a diversion. Normally it is a lot quieter and there are some slightly longer footpath options to get to the beach too. Glad you liked Cart Gap and Bacton Woods - some lovely places to visit when you are staying here. We would love to have you back and thank you again for taking the time to review.

I stay away with my three dogs regularly but corner cottage was my best find to date. The cottage is spacious yet cosy, very well equipped and the owner ensured that everything we needed was easy to find.
The welcome pack was also lovely and the dogs enjoyed their treats.

This was our fourth time here, it's like our second home we absolutely love it here. The welcome pack for us and our dogs are brilliant. The owners have thought of everything you need. The location for us is ideal it's not far from anything and they have a folder for things to do and go. Definitely be coming back

Another lovely stay at Corner Cottage for our family & 4 dogs. The cottage is spotless & has everything you could ever need. & very well equipped. The dogs loved the secure garden & happily played many times. They also loved their walks on the beach just 5 minutes away in the car. We have booked again for next year.

It's warm, it's welcoming, it's cosy, lots of room. Comfortable bed. Lovely garden, the swing is a bit special. Very well equipped, very dog friendly.

A beautiful cottage with everything we needed. Our host, Claudia was on hand to help with Nespresso and cooker, as I couldn't work out how to use them, she was amazing guiding me through instructions. Was very welcoming, she recommended a number of excellent beaches to visit and a reliable taxi firm, we also had a welcome hamper including homemade brownies which were delicious! Not forgetting Nero dog treats for the dog, and we also had the " Make your own pizza kit" which was fun to make. The cottage has amazing dog décor, with humour in the pictures on the walls. The surrounding area is so peaceful and quiet, we loved it and hope to be back soon! Thankyou for a idyllic stay!

The cottage had absolutely everything we needed for our dogs - literally everything apart from their food. It was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything we could need, beds were comfortable, as were the pillows. Lovely enclosed garden , swing chair, table and chairs outside. Hot and cold water outside for the doggies coming home covered in sand from the lovely beach that is a 5 minute drive down the road. Very peaceful in a beautiful location. Off road parking. The lovely owner checks in too just to make sure everything is ok. No more to say….just perfect

We loved the cottage- it is so peaceful on a quiet lane with only one neighbour (they were very welcoming). I enjoyed the evening dog walk along the lane watching the sunset listening to the live music from the Star pub down the road. Corner Cottage is really homely and very well equipped. The welcome pack was superb including gorgeous homemade brownies. The beaches nearby are perfect for dog walks and we recommend the Smallsticks Cafe at Cart Gap. Sea Palling is a few minutes drive away- a great little spot and a lovely big dog-friendly beach. We loved reading on the swing seat in the garden after a day out on the beach. We didn't want to leave!

This was our second break at Corner Cottage. Our Lab knew exactly where were! We have been visiting Norfolk and staying with ERC since 2016. We book with ERC, so we can take our family away somewhere relaxing and stay in lovely accommodation, without silly 'dog rules'. So we always know what to expect when we book through ERC.
As soon as we arrived at Corner Cottage we let our lab into the secure garden and he headed straight inside to have a rummage in the dog toy box. We arrived to a lovely welcome basket, with food and treats, which we all really appreciated after a long drive. There were plenty of dog biscuits Loki the Lab, needed to sample and they met his approval! The brownie's are the best I've ever tasted. Such thoughtful touches from Claudia and Lenny.  You can genuinely tell that the owners have made sure you truly feel at home and welcome. The Cottage is very spacious, we have two very tall teens one being over 6 foot! The room's upstairs are a great size and means they can have their own room and the beds are all comfortable and the bedding is good quality too. No scratchy towels, you are made to feel very comfortable with the effort that has been put in from the owners.  We have a reactive Lab, so have to be careful where we book.  Our dog settled so quickly at Corner Cottage last year and this year and we know we can really relax too. Corner Cottage is great as it's so quiet and tucked away, it works really well for our dog. Waking up to beautiful views every morning, it's so peaceful, it really is a break away from everything. Sitting in the garden on the swing bench, and taking in the surroundings is just bliss. We mostly ate at The Star, dog friendly and brilliant food, so close to the cottagem We also ate at The Ship Inn at Mundesley, again great food and dog friendly. We ordered takeaway from The Oriental Garden, it's honestly one of the best Chiense we've had - cash only.  We also got Fish and Chips from Kingfisher Cafe, which was also good. We visited Smallsticks ( thank you for our voucher).  We love Smallsticks and tend to stop in a couple of times! The kitchen is big enough to cook in and there is no shortage of plates, glasses and cooking equipment.We visited Cart Gap beach and Happisburgh beach, we were lucky enough to see two seals swimming.  We also went to Bacton Woods, it's only a 15 minute drive from the cottage and the woods is vast. We have a reactive Lab, so Bacton is great as its big enough and has plenty of paths you can take if needed.   We also did some walks from the doorstep too, we passed Happisburgh Dog Park, it's very close to Corner Cottage, an easy walk. We also stopped at Nero's Kitchen for dog biscuits to take home, they take cash or PayPal.

Second time booking with East Ruston and can’t recommend them enough. Cottage was in lovely quiet location and close enough to amenities for days out. Lovely welcome pack on arrival at cottage and filled with lots of human and dog goodies. Cottage fabulously equipped and had everything we needed. Added bonus of Happisburgh dog park just down the road to hire and lovely pub The Star, Lessingham snd super dog friendly.

Our second visit to Corner Cottage & we will definitely be booking again. Everything is just perfect for humans & dogs alike & cannot reccommend this cottage highly enough. Claudia & Lennie are very helpful & welcoming.. The addition of the new coffee machine was much appreciated. Comfy beds & pillows & a Lovely welcome pack. Our dogs love the garden to wander around in. The Lighthouse Inn is a lovely place to eat, very dog friendly & great staff. Also Poppylands 1940's restaurant with a Dad's Army theme was thoroughly enjoyed.

Our stay at corner cottage was very relaxing. Everything we needed for us and the dogs was thought of and provided. The cottage was spotless and the garden was perfect for our dogs.
We enjoyed many walks on the beaches at Sea Palling, Cart Gap and waxham up to Horsely to see the seals.

This was our first time booking with East Ruston Cottages but it definitely won’t be the last. They are, by far, the most “dog friendly” company we have used since getting our dog 4 years ago.
Corner cottage was perfect. So cosy, warm, homely, clean and provided everything you and your dogs would need. The location is perfect, lots of lovely walks directly from the front door and also a few minutes drive to the beach.
We holiday with friends who have a reactive dog and the location was perfect for him. Both the Dogs felt at home very quickly.
Claudia is very attentive and the extra touches provided are just lovely.
We are already looking to book for later in the year.

Stunning property in a great location to visit the many nearby beaches. It was spacious and cosy all at the same time! We sometimes look at photos of cottages which look lovely online but in reality it's not as good when you arrive. This is not the case at Corner Cottage. I would actually say the photos were beautiful but the reality was even better. We were a family of 3 (child of 14) and we took Grandma along too. Lots of comfy seating for all us and the log burner was wonderful. We found the kitchen very easy to use with absolutely everything we needed. We were very grateful for the welcome hamper and the dogs loved the treats too. As it was such a last minute get a way, it was great that we didn't have to think about packing dog bowls and beds etc. Two bathrooms worked really well for us as a group. The beds were super comfy and the linen and towels were all of lovely quality. It was really handy having the sensor lights on the landing as one of our dogs decided to go out and potter around the garden at 1am. This meant lights didn't have to be put on to disturb everyone else. We were accommodated really well by the hosts with our choice of dates as we could only do Monday to Thursday instead of the advertised Monday to Friday, so the cost was adjusted accordingly which was really helpful for us. We had a very rainy day so we walked to The Star Inn which was very friendly and we would recommend. It is all in all a perfect location if you don't mind getting in the car for a short while to travel to the beach.

We had a great time at Corner Cottage. 3 Adults, 2 Children and 3 dogs plenty of room for all of us. Everything provided for our (comfortable beds, wonderful welcome pack) and our dogs comfort (crates, throws, dog bowls & treats). In easy reach of the beaches we love - Happisburgh, Cart Gap,Sea Palling and Winterton. Had lovely meals at the Star(easy walking distance) and the Fishermans Return, Winterton. Lovely breakfast at the Kingfisher Cafe, Walcott. The owners couldn't have been more helpful.This was our second visit to this cottage and we will definitely return.

This was our third year at corner cottage, we absolutely love this cottage as it's like home from home. We had a lovely welcome pack for us and our dogs. The location is ideal for us it's not far from places if you want to go out, the dogs love it as well with the lovely walk they go on.

A wonderful two weeks spent at Corner Cottage. Wonderfully clean and equipped there was nothing you needed. Dogs are so welcomed and it was lovely not to have to worry about them escaping from the totally enclosed garden. An easy walk from the cottage to the nearest beach ( Cart Gap) which was usually nearly empty. Claudia was always on hand to answer any questions and I would certainly recommend the cottage .

We all had a wonderful stay at Corner Cottage. The cottage is lovely with a nice secure garden for the dogs to have a run in. The cottage was very clean and spacious , the amenities were excellent and a lovely welcome pack was provided with very tasty brownies, biscuits and dog treats. It’s so great to stay somewhere that actually welcomes dogs and not just tolerates them. Would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay in Corner Cottage. Loved by humans & our 3 dogs & everything & more was provided for all of us. We all loved the garden & the location was perfect, just 5 minutes in the car from Cart Gap beach. Beds were extremely comfortable & we all slept really well. We had an amazing time at Corner Cottage, we could have easily stayed on for much longer, it was so relaxing! It really is home from home.
When we arrived there was a lovely welcome basket, which was much appreciated after a long drive. Our Lab loved the biscuits from Nero's and its great that everything is sourced locally. The homemade chocolate brownies were so nice! There were plenty of dog beds and our lab loved rummaging through the toy box.  There's a hot/cold shower outside and there was shampoo, which was great after a day at the beach & plenty of towels.  It makes coming away so much easier when these things have been provided and saves much needed space in the car when travelling with a dog and family. It was helpful to be able to use the washing machine too.
From outside the cottage doesn't look big, but it's very deceptive, it's such a spacious cottage, cosy & comfortable but not small.
We were all really comfortable and had plenty of room. Having two teenagers who are over six foot and need a room of their own, it was perfect for us.  The rooms are good sizes and the beds were all comfortable, nice bed linen and towels too.  The views looking at out are lovely, waking up and seeing the horses and rabbits every morning was so nice. Our lab is a rescue and reactive, so we have to be careful about what type of property we choose and garden, so Corner Cottage ticked all those boxes for us. It's so peaceful.  There are plenty of walks right outside the door too, and hardly any cars passing. I loved sitting in the garden on the swing, overlooking the fields.  The garden is a great size and very secure, so we could really relax knowing our dog was safe.
We mostly ate out but cooked one evening and the cooker was easy to use and big enough. There was enough room in the kitchen & plenty of kitchen equipment provided, which makes things much easier.  We ate at The Star & The Ship Inn and also got a takeaway from Oriental Garden (such a good chiense).  We stopped at Smallsticks, great cakes and scones.The check in and check out times were also good for us.  The Star being so close is a bonus, you can walk there in under ten minutes. We really had such a lovely time, thank you ERC & Claudia and Lennie for sharing your lovely cottage with us. We loved it so much we booked it again as soon as we were home! Cannot wait to come back next year. All the best Loki & Family.

What a lovely peaceful place Corner Cottage is, if it’s a place you’re looking for to unwind and chill out this is the place to go. it has everything you need lovely pub 10 mins walk down country Lane and lovely walks from the cottage for your dogs. The cottage is so dog friendly the owners don’t think just for the humans but has everything for your dogs too lovely welcome pack awaits your arrival. Beach is close too at Cart Gap which is 30 mins walk or 5 mins in a car dog friendly plenty of space for your dogs to run free. We would definitely be going back in the future. Thanks to East Ruston Cottages and the owners for a wonderful week.

Corner Cottage is well located, incredibly well equipped, comfortable and very cosy. We had a great week there. Plenty to things to do and see locally. Lots of local farm shops and butchers to buy meat etc for the bbq which we used at least 3 nights. Garden lovely and safe for the dogs and very well kept. Will definitely consider going again and booking here

When we get to Corner Cottage we feel like it gives us all a big hug as we go in. It is a beautiful cottage with a gorgeous secure garden. We have stayed there three times and enjoyed every minute. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped, which is great for us as we love to cook. The beds are very comfortable with lovely bed linen. Everything about the place is just great and super dog welcoming. The location is perfect for us as we love to take our dogs to the many dog-friendly beaches. We also love the Smallsticks cafe and the friendly Hill House Inn in Happisburgh. We also ate recently at the lovely Lighthouse Inn in Walcott. All these places are very dog friendly. It is also an easy drive to the excellent facilities in Stalham and Wroxham. It is just a great place to go to.

This was our 2nd stay at Corner Cottage and we had a perfect stay with 3 generations enjoying quality time together with the dogs.
Such a well equipped kitchen with glasses for bubbles being very welcomed. Lots of knives & crockery. As we stayed during a very cold February week, the wonderful central heating was brilliant & with ample logs for the fabulous wood burner we were always cosy & warm. The cottage has a honesty tin for logs after a generous initial supply …. I felt sad to hear after we had left that some visitors do not leave anything in the honesty tin !!
Beds were very comfy & bed linen nice, lots of good quality towels and a wonderful newly fitted bathroom.
Our stay will always have special memories as it was the last holiday for our very old Bishon ….. he had many gentle hours walking round the garden whilst my bouncy younger dogs enjoyed the very safe garden. One final special memory is sitting on the garden swing chair with my granddaughter at night looking at the clear night sky spotting the stars.

We had a lovely long-weekend break at Corner Cottage.
Great communication from the owners, who were able to accommodate a request for early check-in (many thanks to their lovely cleaner too) - especially welcomed on a day when we were experiencing extreme weather from blizzards to beautiful blue skies!
Plenty of options for walks along quiet local roads & bridleways and the beach at Cart Gap within easy reach (1.5 miles).
The cottage itself is very thoughtfully decorated, extremely comfortable and had everything we needed to self-cater for the weekend. The log-burner was also very welcome on a cold evening. We didn't make much use of the garden due to the weather, but the views across the fields - endless skies - must be lovely on a warm evening. We saw deer and a bar owl swooping over the fields on our walks.
Thoroughly recommend trying the locally-baked afternoon teas and pizza-making kits available via East Ruston Cottages - a lovely touch, especially as my dog is not great in crowded pubs etc. That said - Smallsticks cafe at Cart Gap has some lovely beach huts that you can occupy for a meal and coffee with your dog. Excellent food & great service.

Our time at corner cottage was so relaxing. We had 2 rescue dogs with us and they settled really quickly, felt home from home. The welcome basket and the treats for the dogs were a lovely touch. Great location for beeches and the broads. A real dog friendly experience where they were so welcomed, safe and secure, we will be back.

Loved staying at Corner Cottage - absolutely everything had been thought of for dogs and humans.
Garden was very secure for the dogs from tiddly to large and in a very quiet location, very relaxing all round.
The countryside views were fantastic from inside and outside - watched some amazing sunsets and so many great quiet scenic walks right from the door and the beach a few minutes drive away - perfect.

My family and I live all around the country, so our planned holidays together are incredibly important.

Corner Cottage was the perfect base and location for a memorable time together. The cottage is comfortable and very well equipped. We had everything we needed to prepare a Christmas dinner. The cottage was decorated beautifully for Christmas, and there were amazing welcome hampers for humans and our four family dogs. We played games from the stock in the cottage and had nights by the Woodburner.

We visited the Star Inn for a meal, and the staff there were so friendly. Horsey Gap to see the seals was a real treat and honour. We walked and drove to nearby beaches. What a treat!

The contact with the owners and East Ruston staff was amazing before and after our stay. My grandson left behind a money box he had received for Christmas, and we were contacted about this before I had even arrived back home. The contents and the box were sent safely back to him quickly.

One of our dogs is a reactive rescue, and she can be an escape artist. The garden was more than adequate to contain her safely alongside two Jack Russell's and a Collie Cross. There were dog beds, bowls, shampoo, towels, and a warm outside tap, very helpful after a seven mile wet windy loop walk via Happisburgh lighthouse. We picked up dog treats near the lighthouse. We found nice tracks around for lots of off lead time. Four happy dogs!

This was our second time here, it's a lovely cottage, it has everything you need for yourself and your dogs, you get a lovely welcome pack, treats for your dogs. We will definitely be booking for next year, we stay in November they have a lovely log burner. Our party is 7 adults and four dogs and it's very comfortable.

We had a wonderful week at Corner Cottage, everything we needed was there. The dogs loved it! Very quiet location but not far from anywhere. Easy reach of our favorite beach (Happisburg) we also visited Sea Palling, Cart gap (great cafe) and Wallcott (lovely pub). For the first time we went to Bacton Woods which were beautiful. Everywhere is so dog friendly and there is lots of room for them to run around. Will definitely be returning.

We & our 3 furry friends had the most comfortable stay at corner cottage. There was nothing that had not been thought about to make your stay perfect. Spotless & comfortable. We had all the essential items you could think of & the best welcome box ever The garden is so pretty & safe for dogs would have loved to sit on the beautiful garden swing but weather was the only thing they couldn't put right but even with that dog towels throws for the chairs & the great log burner made for cosy evenings after long walks. We would definitely recommend Corner cottage

We usually stay in Happisburgh at The Crib - but due to my mucking up dates - we had to change and this was a perfect alternative!!!
So peaceful - lovely neighbour, really lovely pub with friendly chatty locals.
Our preference for location is The Crib - but we wouldn't think twice about booking this gem!!

We’ve stayed at other ERC cottages but this was the first visit to Corner Cottage and it really didn’t disappoint! Very clean, everything worked as it should, beds and sofas were comfy. It’s in SUCH a peaceful location, sitting in the garden listening to the birds was so relaxing.

Our dog loved sunbathing out in the garden and the local walks. We just wanted a quiet few days so didn’t travel far, but there are loads of places to visit close by.

Corner Cottage is without doubt the best equipped and most comfortable I have ever stayed in. One small problem was fixed immediately with minimum fuss. The cottage itself was lovely, with the cutest frontage and a lovely back garden too. It is stated to be dog friendly but it is very people friendly too, everything easy to find. Beds were very comfortable too. I could go on about the peace and quiet, the happiness of my dogs or the beautiful welcome basket, but would just say go, you won’t regret it.

We have just come home from a lovely break in corner cottage. It suited our needs had some lovely walks and was central to lots of places. We had trips to Cromer and Wroxham and some lovely dog walks.
There was a lovely welcome basket full of local produce, even including some dog treats. Plus a lovely birthday cake and card as we had mentioned we were together to celebrate a family birthday. Our supermarket delivery had been packed away, and logs and bbq coals ready for our use.

Stayed at Corner Cottage for a week in May, our first time there but not the first time with East Ruston Cottages. It really is a lovely place to stay in a great location. It's super dog friendly and our fluffs loved the fully enclosed gorgeous garden as did we. I think our favourite thing was the swing, just sitting, being in the moment, watching and listening to the birds and the other wildlife is just wonderful.
The beds are really comfortable and everywhere very clean and although we didn't do much cooking you could, as the kitchen is very well equipped.
The owners are lovely, we only met them as there was a small problem at the start and they arrived promptly to sort it out and we didn't see them again, although we knew we could call on them at any time if needed.
Although the cottage sleeps seven, I think it would be very snug if all adults but if it's a family staying with kids (and dogs) then it's fine.
There are amazing beaches close by and great walks and also a decent dog friendly pub with a nice garden with-in walking distance.
Definitely would book again and have already recommended to others.

Cottage is very roomy and comfortable. We had four adults and 3 dogs staying. It has everything you need and more. Especially loved the outside shower for dogs with warm water. Much needed after spending the day running around on the beach and in the sea. Would highly recommend this cottage.

No need to worry about the dogs making a mess, everything provided to clear up. Very secure garden. Hot and cold running water for the dogs. Booking and information process was easy and great communication from the East Ruston team. Cottage itself was very clean and homely, with plenty of room for 4 adults, one child and two dogs. Can't fault either the provision for the dogs or human visitors - we all felt very comfortable and relaxed. Quiet, rural location, but The Star is an easy walk for a drink or great pub grub and we also walked to Cart Gap beach with the dogs. Happisburgh lighthouse and beach was a short drive away, and further afield we visited Horning on the Broads and Horsey Windpump. Plenty of other places to go to if you are staying longer, but we also enjoyed spending time sitting on the swing chair in the well stocked and maintained garden.

Thoroughly enjoyed our short break - we were all extremely well catered for and would definitely recommend East Ruston Cottages.

We had 1 week at corner cottage and it was lovely. Comfortable, clean, well equipped and very dog friendly. Close to beaches and walks. Watching the birds feed in the front garden was very nice. Rural but within easy reach of shops and pubs.

A break which I think we all needed and not a lover of New year celebrations, we had a great week ‘away from everything’
This wasn’t our first time at Corner Cottage, so we knew what we were expecting, and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
It was scrupulously clean.
Everything we needed was there, both for us and our dog, so no need to take beds and bowls, reducing the need to take stuff with you in the car.
The house was warm, and the log burner certainly helped the winter atmosphere, and hot water was in plentiful supply! Great new shower which we all really appreciated!
I would also like to thank the owners for an amazing welcome basket! The children’s eyes nearly popped out when they saw all the goodies!
I need to give credit to Sue and all the East Ruston staff who are clearly committed to both human and dog satisfaction.
Indeed, we have already booked for next New Year break away from people and their fireworks.

Corner cottage was so nice. There were 7 of us and 4 dogs two of which were large dogs but all of us felt welcome. The hamper of human and doggy goodies was lovely. When the owners came to the cottage they left extra treats for the dogs which was so nice.
After some lovely walks on the beach I loved the hot water outside to clean the dogs. A very relaxing time was had by all and will definitely be booking again.

It was a lovely cottage, they had thought about everything, the welcome pack was lovely, there was seven adults and four dogs in our party, the weekend was for a special birthday and I couldn't of asked for more. The beaches were great and it was great to be able to wash the dogs down and dry them Infront of the fire.

Corner Cottage is wonderful. We have stayed in many so called ‘dog friendly’ holiday homes over the last few years, but sadly they have turned out to barely tolerate dogs.

This cottage positively welcomes them with open arms supplying 3 different dog beds, treats, a doggy shower, towels, spare leads, harnesses, poo bags, a box of toys, throws for the furniture and a very secure enclosed garden. What a relief to go on holiday and not have to worry about where the dog was in the house or if he was safe in the garden.

The cottage is beautiful. A lot of thought has gone into the design and it really feels like a proper home. It’s cosy, comfortable and welcoming. We visited in late October/early November and it was lovely to curl up with the woodburner on in the evening. It’s very spacious, light, clean and has everything needed.

The views from every window are stunning. It’s very rural and yet just a short walk from the Lessingham Star which is a really nice, dog welcoming pub and a short drive to Stalham if supplies are needed. The surrounding countryside is lovely and Cart Gap beach was perfect for our beagle to have a good run.

We wouldn’t hesitate to book Corner Cottage again. We fell in love with it and Norfolk too. We are already planning our next visit.

A home away from home owners had thought of everything to make our stay a relaxing few days away. The property was clean kitchen had everything that you would need. The welcome pack for us and the dogs was excellent. We’ve never stayed anywhere else that was so dog friendly. Our two dogs loved the back garden which was safe and fully enclosed a real relaxing holiday.

We chose this four bedroomed cottage so that our three grown up children and two dogs could come away with us to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. We were not disappointed. The cottage was spacious, clean and very well furnished with everything we, and the dogs, needed. The whole family loved the novelty of a log fire. The four bedrooms were well appointed and comfortable, even the single room, and the two bathrooms/Shower room were newly renovated giving all mod cons. The dogs loved the large, safe garden and we appreciated the outside hot and cold shower which allowed us to keep them clean and wash away all the salt and sand accumulated from a day on the beach. The cottage is well situated for the lovely sandy beaches, look out for seals, and the Broads.

We recently spent a week at the delightfully peaceful corner cottage. When it is described as dog friendly, it means just that. I felt that my boy was very much welcomed and he LOVED the basket of toys to delve his spaniel nose into and the delicious treats from Nero’s kitchen. From corner cottage we were able to explore many new places including Winterton beach and Bacton Woods - this was brilliant especially off the main path! The Star Inn was perfect for Sunday dinner, Smallsticks is a must for breakfast or a cream tea and Broadlands for a chippy tea. We were so lucky with the weather. What a great base to explore from!

After a five and a half hour drive it was great to get to the cottage, key code great straight in and what a wonderful clean cottage. It had everything we could want 2 x fridges 1 x freezer, microwave, oven , hob , all the utensils you would require and a great welcome pack. The living room had 2 x 3 seater sofas with plenty of throws for the dogs, the front entrance porch had books, board games, dvd and cd's. The bathroom off the living room was very modern . Upstairs we had 4 bedrooms and a shower room. The beds have got to be the comfortable beds we have slept in, a great 7 nights sleep and the views in the morning were fantastic. We use to just watch the birds feeding in the front garden on the bird feeders ( which you can refill from the seeds provided in the porch). The back garden had table and chairs and a swing bench and plenty of grass for sunbathing. Everything was provided in the cottage from washing up liquid to hand soap ( take your own if you have a preference) all of good quality. A book was provided giving all the best places to go for sightseeing and which pubs they recommend, we loved the Leasingham star and the lighthouse inn best. We took 2 dogs and the provisions for dogs is second to none, outside hot and cold water, spare leads and collars, bog bowls poo bags etc. We can fully recommend this cottage and the services of east Rushton cottages ltd. We found our best beach was waxham beach free parking on the lane and a gentle walk. One thing to make sure you check is the tide times table, the sea comes right up to the sea defences and so limits your walks. We are coming back but unfortunately the cottage is booked so we have used east Rushton cottages for our new stay in ludham.

We had a fantastic family holiday in Corner Cottage. The garden was beautifully maintained and totally dog friendly and the cottage is in a beautiful area close to some gorgeous beaches with the added bonus of being lifeguarded from May to September. Sue and the owners were very responsive in sorting our couple of requests. The cottage is tight for 6 adults, a baby and a dog but perfectly functional. Overall a great time was had by all!

We were very lucky to be able to spend time over Easter in this beautiful cottage in a gorgeous part of Norfolk. The cottage was just everything we could have wished for and we just loved the fact that our dogs were made to feel special too. The cottage is lovely and we can't think of anything that would have made our stay better. We loved the welcome pack and again our dogs were catered for in this regard too. The location of the cottage was great and we even got to see the seals on the beach. Just perfect! We were also very impressed with the company we booked through, they were so efficient and helpful. We have already booked this cottage again for next year.

Corner cottage provided us with one of best holidays we've had in quite a few years. Originally just my wife and I with out 2 border collies were going. Owing to Covid regulations my eldest daughter was due to have a party for her 50th birthday, which she had to cancel, so the and invited her and husband plus 1 bulldog to join us for the weekend, we also invited our other daughter, husband and 3 weimaraner dogs. Cleared it with the office and paid the extra. They all really did enjoy their time there and all the dogs got on great. The wife and I have a few more booked by ourselves for next year, this time for a rest. Thanks to all the ERC crew for helping us enjoy our time in a wonderful old cottage which has everything you could ever want. All the best to each and every one of you.

Corner cottage was a lovely property and felt very homely instantly. The welcome box for humans and dogs was especially a lovely touch. It had everything you could possibly need provided in the kitchen, even picnic items! Dog beds and bowls also provided for you. We found the beds a tad soft but are used to super firm mattresses at home! Not a complaint, just an observation. Lots of lovely board games and books that we took advantage of too. Location is fantastic for exploring norfolk coast and a local pub in walking distance thats dog friendly. We had a thoroughly lovely break

We loved Corner Cottage, very comfortable, especially the beds. The dogs enjoyed the garden, plenty big enough for 3 dogs and very secure. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you can think you would need. Lovely quiet setting and only a short drive to 2 or 3 lovely beaches, local pub The Lessingham Star was great too, extremely dog friendly.
The location of the cottage was perfect for day trips to nearby beaches (Sea Palling was our favourite) and also the Broads, to watch the world go by and all the lovely boats.
Can thoroughly recommend Corner Cottage it really was a home from home and we will definitely be back.

My family have been coming to North Norfolk for many years now. The boys are now very tall young men, our older dogs are no longer with us but new ones have joined the pack. But the best part of our annual holiday is knowing that Sue at East Ruston Cottages will always, always guarantee the best accommodation, the best holiday home for all of us. This year, we booked before ‘lockdown’ so we had all our fingers and paws crossed that all would be well. We were absolutely delighted with Corner Cottage. So much so, we will book for next year. The kitchen had everything you could wish for, a huge fridge-freezer, a super halogen hob and an excellent cooker and grill. The bedrooms were perfect and the sofas in the living room were given the ‘paws-up’ by Mouse, Honey and Lola. (Throws were provided, also dog beds, bowls, leads, oodles of toys and an outside tap for a warm wash). What more could you want! Everyone had enough space to eat, sleep, relax and enjoy being in this home from home, It was just wonderful. Thank you Sue as always. Xx

We had a very good family holiday with our two sons, there other half’s and our granddaughters. One coming upto 3 the other 20 weeks. Everything we needed in the cottage for a good family holiday.
We walked from there to the local beach.
We also went to the beach at Happisburgh a few times which has a good car park, toilets and play area.
We went to Horsey Gap and walked along the beach there and saw the seals in the sea and on the beach.
We had a good day out at Wroxham Barns, plenty to do there for children and some good craft shops.
We had a lovely picnic at Salhouse Broad. Nice there watching the boats coming in and out of there moorings. There is a cafe there for teas, coffees and snacks. Car park with toilets.
The last evening we went to The Boathouse on Ormesby Broad and had a very good meal there in a lovely setting and the seating was well spaced out and so didn’t feel threatened in any way.

What a lovely cottage - not only clean and spacious but also with all of those extras that make it easy to go on holiday with multiple dogs - dog bowls, towels, throws. The welcome pack was the icing on the cake. Ideally situated for the many wonderful beaches as well as nearby towns providing something for children and dogs - and the great dog friendly pub in walking distance for the grown ups after a busy day

We had a lovely stay at Corner Cottage. Plenty of room for 6 of us and our puppy. It was our first doggy holiday and couldn’t have asked for a better property! Any concerns we had about travelling during the current climate were eased when we walked into the cottage and could see and smell how clean it was. Great location with fantastic walks from the door and an easy walk to The Star where we had a couple of meals and were even joined by horses in the beer garden! Thanks so much for a great holiday! Just what we all needed!

What can I say ... Corner Cottage is such a lovely place to stay , so much we didn’t even make it home , on the day we were due to go home we booked a further 4 days stay . You certainly will not be disappointed

Fabulous first doggie holiday. Cottage was well thought out for both dogs and humans with everything we could have needed. The welcome pack was brilliant for all. The cottage was clean and well presented on arrival. Everything is kept lovely inside and out. The view from the cottage to the lighthouse is lovely. Great location. Pub with walking distance is dog friendly and staff were lovely. Plenty of dog friendly beaches in driving distance. It was a home from home for the week, we would be back this summer if it were available during our time off. Will definitely be visiting again!

Comfortable cottage with plenty of space and very well equipped. Quiet but not isolated.Good sized garden for the dogs and walkable to the beach or 5 minutes by car.

we had a great stay, with our 4 dogs, at Corner Cottage. Everything we needed was close to hand. Good location for our favorite daily beach, Sea Palling followed by Small Sticks café for veggie breakfast.

Just returned from a lovely stay at Corner Cottage. Property has everything you need and location great. Just two minutes away from nearest beach which was very quiet. The garden was fairly secure. Gap underneath gate was big enough for one of ours to get her head stuck. Also there were quite a lot of nettles around the garden.

Had a rather cheeky few days in Corner Cottage, Lessingham.
In the words of a raid Revel-Horwood, it was A-Maz-Ing!

Brilliant location (if you want peace and tranquility) in a fantastic cottage with every amenity you could think of.

East Ruston Cottages have got what dog owners want down to a T.
Don’t have to take beds, bowls and all the dog paraphernalia which saves so much space in the car, and they turn up have a good sniff and are settled with no stress.

Anyone, like me, who puts their dog needs before their own, please do check out East Ruston. They do care!

The service from east rush ton cottages had been amazing prior to our stay. They were prompt and very helpful in answering any questions we had. The cottage was very homely and had lots of touches that made it a home from home instead of a holiday rental. Had lots of useful information in the welcome brochure. Was a 10 minutes walk to a very friendly pub(to dogs and humans) that did good food ‘the star’. Was about 29-30 minutes to the beach depending on which route you took and how often our dog stopped to sniff .
The welcome pack was a lovely touch which we really enjoyed.
We definitely would return.

As a family of 7 we had a very good & comfortable holiday. Welcome pack for humans and dogs very good, though milk wasn't included in this so take your own for a first cuppa.
All the dog friendly touches great.
Really well equipped modern kitchen, dining area a little cosy.
Bedrooms good clean and tidy, though it may be worth considering twin or bunk beds in one room when next fitted out as this would be easier for families with children.
Some of the door latches need attention, could be quite tricky opening the doors at times.
The cottage has a lovely cottage garden which is secure and safe for children & dogs though when we went there were lots of flourishing nettles in the borders causing stings to several of us and 2 of the dogs.
Within a couple of miles of dog friendly beaches and with dog friendly pubs & cafes nearby, this made an ideal place for us to stay.

Thank you so much for taking the time to give us a review. I must apologise for the lack of milk! Normally there is a pint or two in the fridge but I am afraid the cleaner forgot all about it this time! So sorry - blame human error. If I had known I would have popped round with some. The nettles were eventually tackled but the busy busy gardener - I am just sorry it wasn't in time for your visit. But the garden is full of flowers now and not nettles. All the other points have been passed on to lovely Claudia who owns the house and is passionate about her guests having a good time so will definitely take them on board. Thank you again. Sue

Spotless when we arrived and easy to keep clean. Great use of space and plenty of room for three adults and three dogs to not get in each other’s way. Superbly equipped, warm, cosy, brilliant location. You couldn’t ask for anything better. Only reason I haven’t said it’s the most dog-friendly place I’ve ever been is because all of East Ruston cottages are that welcoming. 10 years of holidays here - no plans to change. Thanks, as always, for a perfect week.

Corner Cottage is a great holiday home and very welcoming for doggy holidays! The doggies’ every comfort is catered for - from all shapes of dog beds, to a warm shower in the very secure garden after fun on the dog friendly beaches!! Plenty of room for everyone in the very comfortable and relaxing cottage, we loved watching the colourful wild birds pecking at the seed in the small front garden. The doggies, the children and adults all had a great time, thank you.

Another great week at one of East Ruston cottages. Corner cottage is a great escape from the hustle and bustle and has everything you could possibly want. The reason we chose East Ruston is the fact they are so dog friendly and the dogs are made to feel as welcome as us humans. I’m sure we will be booking again next year in another cottage. We have just returned from our holiday and it was truly one of the best. Upon arrival we noticed how clean and tidy the cottage was, the welcome pack was fabulous full of both human and dog treats we enjoyed them thank you.

There was plenty of crockery and kitchen utensils the rooms were all tidy and clean. The views of the garden were fantastic.

There is a lot to do in this area of Norfolk and we went to a really great cafe called Smallsticks which does amazing breakfasts, well worth a visit although it does get pretty busy.

We definitely can not fault this cottage it was great and the comfort and cosy cottage was such a delight to us all.
The owner caters for the animals as well as there were lots of dog beds and throws which we loved and even a little coat hanger for their leads.

We would definitely recommend these group of cottages as we have stayed in numerous cottages with them and all have been very dog friendly and amazing throughout.

As always a pleasure to stay in another of the east Ruston cottages ,shame it was only for the weekend as we all would have loved it to be longer ,especially the dogs, walks around the fields and along the beaches ,drop in at the local pub for a drink and a bite to eat then back to the cottage to snuggle in for a sleep with mum and dad.
The cottage has a wonderful kitchen and is decorated well through out and as always is very dog friendly ,garden was good and will be a nice place to sit when the weather has warmed up.
Love the area, love the people (so friendly) can't say anything bad about ERC and have already booked another 2 stays for the coming months

Corner Cottage is a delightful character cottage in a quiet rural location. It is perfect for walks with your doggie friends, then back to the comfort of the spacious lounge,and the welcoming wood burner. The cottage has everything that you need for a relaxing holiday with a lot of thought also for canine family members. The conservatory/lobby was ideal to deal with muddy paws before going into the well equipped kitchen. A good nights sleep was ensured by beautifully comfortable beds.
We all had a mavellous week in a lovely cottage, in a peaceful setting, but near to stunning beaches. An added bonus was The Star at Lessingham, a short walk away, with delicious food guaranteed.

Lovely cottage quiet location with a great pub just around the corner. We really enjoyed our stay at Corner Cottage we had everything we needed for us and our 3 dogs. Our only complaint was that as we were all adults the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms where very small you could hardly walk around the bed. We think they really should be single rooms and not doubles but apart from this the cottage is fantastic.

What a delightful holiday, enjoyed by 4 humans and 7 doggies! Corner Cottage is in a very beautiful location. I awoke each morning and looked out at the horses in the fields, made breakfast in the well equipped kitchen and was set up for the day. Plenty of lovely little places to visit in the surrounding area, in fact a week wasn't long enough. Thank you very much indeed.
