excellent location practically on the beach, the lookout is v nicely decorated throughout with plenty of decorative touches
spotless and comfortable for both people and puppers after days out
I can't recommend Sally enough for all the support and communication she provided
Bacton itself is a little gem of a place, if like us you have a reactive dog you will love the quiet wide beaches with plenty of space for everyone even during Aug BH weekend
plenty of excellent walks to be had but also perfect to simply chill in the sun room overlooking the beach with a chilled glass of wine
After a long year of ups and downs this was exactly what we needed
we will def be back if we can squeeze in

Stayed with my two dogs in this fabulous property, right on the seafront. The property has everything you could need, particularly well equipped in the kitchen, and comfortable throughout. The bed was very comfortable, I slept well every night. The property is extremely dog friendly, and I particularly valued the enclosed garden, which meant I could have the doors open to enjoy the views and the sound of the waves, without having to worry about where they were. I would definitely return another year, but sadly it won’t be next year as it is already fully booked!

Both East Ruston Cottages and the owner of the Lookout are so communicative, human and dog friendly. The Lookout had everything that both our dogs and ourselves needed. It was very clean and located really close to the sea, which you could see from the accommodation.

From the minute we arrived and saw the fantastic view, right on the beach we realised we were in for a special holiday! The cottage was beautifully set up, everything you might want and some you didn’t even realise you did! The owner was in touch with loads of information about how everything in the cottage worked and was available at all times. I would recommend this cottage whole heartedly and will certainly be returning.

We have just returned from a perfect week at the lookout. The owner has been in contact several times to ensure we were happy with the arrangements. In the accomodation, that was spotlessly clean, we found a super welcome pack, oh the marmalade! A beautifully themed sea decor, many comforts for humans and dogs (we have 3), I must mention the condiment and sauces cupboard!
The smart tv let us watch a number of our own favourites as well as the now famous euro quarter and semi finals.
So close to the beach, I swam every day. We were able to rent a dog buggy for our elderly cocker spaniel.
There were many intangibles, the peace and quiet, fresh sea air and privacy.
I could go on but I need a coffee (oh yes, there is a splendid little coffee maker too!

Had a fabulous stay at The Lookout, which is in the most perfect location and so close to the sea. The kitchen is very well equipped and the chalet is decorated with a lovely nautical theme. The garden is small but adequate with secure fencing and there is a lovely patio area which is great for enjoying your breakfast whilst overlooking and listening to the sea. There is one space for a car outside the chalet and another space further down the lane allocated for The Lookout.

Throws are provided for the furniture if holidaying with dogs as well as a Welcome pack on arrival. Would recommend The Lookout for a holiday or just a relaxing get-away! We will happily return.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Lookout - beautifully styled inside, comfortable bed and very well equipped kitchen, with blender, mixer, air fryer, slow cooker etc and plenty of cupboard space for your food and other things you bring with you.
Great video instructions for operating everything provided too.
Views are stunning - lovely quiet beach literally seconds walk away and lovely Cafe Carmel about five minutes walk away, along with two very good chippys and good pubs Lighthouse Inn and Poachers Pocket and other cafes close by.
Great location to visit lots of other beaches the Broads and the rest of North Norfolk
Sally was a great host, we will definitely stay at The Lookout again.

From start to finish the experience couldn’t have been better. Top marks all round. The location is lovely, so peaceful with beautiful views. Facilities were great, everything you could possibly need is supplied, a real home from home. It felt like Sally was an old friend, offering plenty of helpful information (including when and how to witness the Northern Lights from the property!) without being intrusive in any way.

Great walks, lovely local fish and chips and fab restaurant (Lighthouse Inn) within easy reach and Tesco delivers! The Kingfisher Cafe was super dog friendly, the waitress even brought out some cucumber slices so our food sensitive dog wasn’t left out when the other dogs had some beef scraps!

Our older Labrador had a great time at The Lookout, he loved being able to join us on the sofa and sleeping in his own bed in our room at night just like he does at home. He went crazy for the windy beach! He did find the steps down to the beach a little hard going but it’s just a short walk to the slope for easier access, which I appreciated too!

We thoroughly recommend a stay.

We were lucky enough to be The Lookout's first guests with ERC & it didn't disappoint. Communication from Sally the owner soon after we booked was 5* & again, just before arrival. As soon as we walked through the door, the view that we had was amazing. There's something quite peaceful (whatever the weather) just looking out to sea & that's what we did each morning with our cup of tea on the communal bench! The property itself is extremely warm, cosy & comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook a meal (there's even a Ninja airfryer)! & plenty of books, games & puzzles if you tire of the view (which you won't). We had a thoroughly relaxing Easter break & would love to come back.
