Have stayed with Port Charlotte holidays on a number of occasions and always enjoyed it. Houses are comfortable and well equipped and Port Charlotte is a great location. We'll be back.
We had a fantastic holiday on Islay. We stayed in Saligo and our accommodation was perfect for our family. The apartment was huge so we all felt that we had our own space and the facilities were great, they had thought of everything you could possibly need on holiday. Both Margaret and Alison were very kind and helpful and Alison was very knowledgeable about the area and the history of the house. Alison also kindly helped us with suggestions of things to do and where and how to get there which was extremely important and much appreciated. It is a very generous and quiet place, excellent for 3-6 people, very clean and everything in very good condition. The location is very good for exploring the northwest of Islay, for the east/southeast you must always drive along the bay for additional 10 to 15 miles. However, there are a lot of beautiful places around and excellent dining areas very close to the cottage. Have spent here a quite comfortable week and enjoyed it very much.
That this was our third stay at Port Charlotte Hall hopefully attests to its magic and magnetic appeal. The Kilchoman Suite is a terrific base from which a couple can explore the enchanted Isle of Islay. The apartment is not only spotless (take a deep bow, Alison) and very well appointed but is also unusually spacious. As the website depicts, the bedroom is on a mezzanine floor and the location couldn't really be bettered. I've spent a great many holidays in Islay at various points throughout life and am still discovering new charms. Give yourself a treat.
