Kirkstone Cottage is said to be one of the oldest properties in Ambleside and dates back to the 15th Century. Nestling in the heart of this popular Lakeland village, overlooking the famous Little House of the Bridge and is handy for all the shops, pubs and restaurants.
Ambleside is located on the shores of Lake Windermere where boat trips can be enjoyed, hop off at one of the stops to explore Windermere or Lakeside before catching the boat back to Ambleside. There are a wealth of shops, bars, restaurants and attractions in the village and walks can be enjoyed from the door. The cottage is located at the foot of Kirkstone Pass, making exploring the northern Lakes easy with a trip over the scenic pass taking you to Lake Ullswater.
Kirkstone Cottage comprises: Lounge with slate effect floor with underfloor heating, wood burning stove, TV and Wi-Fi. The dining/kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and dining table. The bathroom has a roll top bath, shower cubical, hand basin and WC.
Stairs lead to the first floor attractive double bedroom furnished in pine overlooking the Little House of the Bridge.
All electric, towels and bed linen included. Logs are not provided but can be purchased locally. Cot available. Parking space for a small car.
