The famous poet William Wordsworth lived in Grasmere and now his home, Dove Cottage, is a popular visitor attraction where you can explore a bygone era, you can also visit his grave at the village church. Grasmere Gingerbread Shop is also a must when staying in Grasmere to enjoy a delicious sweet treat. Grasmere is a central base within the Lakes to enjoy days out at Keswick, Ambleside and Windermere or take advantage of the many fells right on the doorstep offering walks for all abilities. Grasmere and Rydal Water are both close by for picnics and watersports.
Little Parrock sits on the outskirts of Grasmere at the foot of Helm Crag (known locally as the Lion and the Lamb). The detached house provides spacious accommodation for up to 10 guests, perfect for families or friends holidaying together. The cottage garden is the perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries after a day exploring or to enjoy al fresco meals together surrounded by mountain scenery.
