This was exactly what we needed after a busy few months. The location is idlyic overlooking Talkin Tarn with a lovely walk around the lake right from the door. Cumbrian Cottage Holidays staff were very friendly and answered all of our questions prior to booking. David, the owner, also popped by to make sure everything was OK for us. A 5 star property with 5 star service. Can't wait to return again now we have found our little peace of heaven.

We had a girls weekend to get away from it all and couldn’t have asked for more. The cottage is gorgeous! We loved the walk from the door step around Talkin Tarn, we had dinner at The Blacksmith pub. The beds so comfy! We found it easy to book & found you on social media. We can’t wait to stay again, this will definitely become a yearly tradition! We have also looked at more of your cottages to stay with our families.

The cottage and location is perfect in everyway. It's location was ideal for us visiting family in Carlisle. We also had a day out at Ullswater, Hadrians Wall, the coast, Metro centre at Gateshead and Gretna. If your looking for a base from which to explore then you really should consider staying here. The cottage is also equipped with everything you need and the kids enjoyed taking part in the archery by Talkin Adventures whilst we had a walk round the tarn.
