This was our 2nd stay at St Michael’s Cottage and it won’t be the last ! Beautiful house , immaculate inside , the most cared for garden , wonderful location , I could go on and on . We can’t fault this amazing cottage . Look forward to to next time .
Excellent cottage lovely village. Good pubs and easy access to places of interest. First class host and very dog friendly.
A beautiful cottage off the beaten track next to a working farm. Very calm and peaceful. The cottage had everything you needed and the groceries were a lovely touch. Would definitely consider staying there again.
We had a wonderful time at Apple Cottage. Can only think of superlatives for this wonderful stay: clean, elegant and tastefully decorated, fully equipped, delicious products in a welcome basket. The terrace with comfortable garden furniture and the beautiful spacious (!) garden with lovely flowers and apple trees, pond and various seating areas offers plenty of opportunities to relax and enjoy the silence and tranquility. Here you can experience the deafening silence which is hard to find nowadays. We have already booked our next holiday in Snowshill and that says it all.
Superb well equipped cottage in delightful village, with excellent local pub. Stairs to two of the bedrooms could be a challenge for small children or the elderly. The cottage is ideal for both Summer and winter visits....warm and cosy with beautiful outside space.
Positive points: The cottage is lovely and well equipped, the location is great for exploring the cotswolds and the area peaceful. Negative points: The beds are very uncomfortable, the mattresses need replacing and there are many spiders, some of them quite big.
My first solo holiday since my husband passed away & I couldn’t have found a better place. Debbie was absolutely lovely, and on hearing my dog was a nervous rescue she ensured the farm dogs were kept away, going above and beyond to provide excellent customer care. The barn is beautiful, perfectly located for great walks. Unlimited logs for the log burner was a lovely extra touch.
A perfect place to celebrate our big day with our family. Kitchen very well stocked. Gym used every day.
Well located, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Lovely garden with quality garden furniture. We had a great stay.
Clean, spacious, well located accommodation. Good range of appliances etc. All 3 bedrooms are a good size. The extensive informal garden is ideal for sitting out. Located down a narrow lane in easy walking distance of Moreton-in-Marsh centre. Adequate parking in front of the property. Note that properties have names but no numbers, so locating the specific house could be tricky, but I hunted it out on Google Street View before setting off. One minor limitation - there is a shower in the communal shower room. The en-suite bathroom, however, has a bath but no over-bath shower and shower screen,...more
Spent most of our stay in the garden enjoying the river view and watching the boats and generally soaking up the atmosphere Comfortable accommodation, easy parking and everything we needed provided. Warm welcome from the owner. Village has good pub food at the Bridge plus handy supermarket and petrol station. Ancient bridge and parkland an added bonus as are the cafe and village buildings / architecture. Close to Warwick and Stratford on Avon. Blue Boar Inn in nearby village very good for food.
Great stay overall. Good location and clean property! Perfect for a small family with a dog and toddler.
House was comfortable as only 3 of us stayed. House is beginning to look tired and taking into account price charged, the rooms classed as double are rather small. Some improvement should be considered to information provided to assist with kitchen hot plate etc and how to use the tv etc
Negatives: doors need some maintenance (some bedrooms and bathroom doors do not shut, and back door needs re-alignment, front door is noisy, needs oiling), bathrooms need more/some shelving and hooks for towels and clothes, extractor fan in bathroom did not work, wallpaper needs attention in 1st floor front bedroom, more wardrobes/hanging hooks required in most bedrooms, blinds were broken in roof bedroom, dishwasher broken, more seats in lounge required, clearer recycling instructions required with larger bins in kitchen, and parking is tight for 5 cars(you need to keep shuffling around and w...more
We visited as a family of 5 during the summer holidays and were not disappointed. The cottage was immaculate, well-maintained, and in a great location to explore the Cotwolds. It offers spacious bedrooms and a nice outdoor garden for the kids.
Excellent accommodation with stunning views . Cottage was spotless and very comfortable, We had a great time at Sheepscombe Byre and will definitely be back ,owners were very friendly and helpful, the local pub was excellent for food and the cottage is well placed to explore the Cotswolds .
We spend a very happy time in this cosy littel cottage, with a full basket presentet to us and fresh fruits and butter and milk in the fridge. We had realy everything. A nice pub nearby and beautiful landscape around.
We enjoyed staying in the cottage, which was tastefully furnished and with a homely feel. The cottage was reached down a long driveway which meant it was surrounded by beautiful countryside. Plenty of local walks to be had. A couple of good pubs serving great food within walking distance and others within a short drive. A very enjoyable week.
We booked this break as part of my wife's 60th birthday celebrations. The cottage, annexe and gardens were lovely. A great location for exploring the Cotswolds and the local pub, a 5 minute walk, was great for having a drink at the end of the day.
The dishwasher no longer works effectively, despite putting on for a wash twice still needed to rewash the items by hand. The light over the basin in the bathroom did not work. Bathroom window did not close. The floor in the bathroom is very poor and putting an outdoor floor mat over the raised flooring in front of the wash basin in the bathroom in my opinion is totally unacceptable. The plastic consumer unit does not comply with current electrical safety regulations. Only 3 forks insufficient. As a guest it felt like the owners must not have checked the property in years. Overall very po...more
Beautiful cottage and reassuring property manager who was on hand if we needed anything. The Fox pub is 2 minutes away and is a must-visit. We will be returning next year.
