Lovely accommodation for 2 people in a beautiful village. Fantastic hamper awaiting us which was very much appreciated after a long very wet journey from the North of England. Ideally situated for many attractions. Would hope to return.
Excellent getaway in a quiet hamlet with great pub only 2 minutes walk. Fantastic retreat for exploring the Cotswolds.
Poppy's Cottage is delightful, comfortable and well equipped. The location is lovely and there is nothing you could want for. The welcome hamper was the best we have ever had. All the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. We took our German friends there for a week and they fell in love with Poppey's Cottage and the and the surrounding area as did we.
We had to make a last minute booking and everything was handled impeccably. We arrived quite late but the next morning Andy arrived with a welcome package which was really appreciated (and unexpected!) The cottage was impeccable, had everything you would need and was very conveniently as we needed to be close to our daughter which was only a few miles away. I would highly recommend this cottage if you are looking for a place to stay in the Cotswold are
We have had a super stay at Hayloft. I am in a wheelchair much of the time and the cottage was easy to maneuver around and very comfortable. The stairs to the main bedroom were a bit of a challenge for me but well worth the effort - beautiful beamed room and bathroom. Nice sitting out areas drenched in sun. With a lovely hamper of local food ready on our arrival.
Little Shrublands is one of the best cottages we have stayed in. Great location in a lovely village. We enjoyed several barbecues in the lovely garden. Cottage is very well equipped with comfortable beds and comfortable sofas. Oh yes and the welcome pack was greatly appreciated.
This was a beautiful apartment in a stunning setting with friendly and helpful hosts. Decorated and furnished to a high standard. The apartment had everything we needed for a family stay and included basic items such a washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, oil, coffee and tea which is really helpful for a short stay. Location was perfect being close to lots of small towns with lovely visitor attractions close by. I would definitely return here. No negatives at all.
What a beautiful cottage - really spacious, had everything you needed, lovely private garden and the hamper was a nice retreat. ExClement location for exploring the Cotswolds and was lovely to come back to at the end of each day - felt like a real retreat. Enjoyed it do much we have already booked it again for next year!
We were delighted on our arrival at The Grooms Cottage; it was beautifully presented with lots of attention to detail including White Company linen and even a hose pipe outside for the dog. The location was quiet but within walking distance to lovely pubs and central for exploring the area where there’s plenty to explore. We will definitely be back!
A lovely welcoming cottage with much character and warmth. The whole cottage was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and set in beautiful surroundings. The welcome food pack contained all local produce and was the best we have ever experienced in a self catering property. With a wealth of places to visit locally, our week was over far too quickly and we hope to return.
St Micheals cottage was the highlight of our 6 week tour of Europe. The property and accommodation is unsurpassed! The cottage is beautiful and so comfortable and the gardens are magnificent. Broadway is a wonderful home base to explore the Cotswolds. It was fun to be able to walk from the cottage into the village and access the Cotswold Way. Lance and his wife and the gardener Pip are delightful! We hope to return to St. Michaels cottage in the near future.
Lovely accommodation with wonderful grounds and local area to explore. We enjoyed a long weekend watching the rugby in the snug, eating a Sunday roast in the dinning room and morning coffee and newspapers outside. There was plenty of room for everyone and no-one wanted to leave when our stay was up. A wonderful property that we will definitely visit again.
We really enjoyed our stay. The Barn (cottage) is in a lovely country location, very quite and peaceful. It is idly placed for surrounding villages, we enjoyed Bury End (please of eateries), Snowshill (Pub in walking distance and very interesting Snowhill manor). There are plenty of other places nearby too. We would recommend the pub in Lower Slaughter too; lovely pub in a beautiful location. Given the ages in our party we appreciated the two en-suites and having a downstairs toilet. The only disappointment was that the photograph of the Barn on the web site show views up the valley from t...more
As ever Moore Cottage was lovely and the location is perfect for a stroll down to Bourton for breakfast or dinner. The only gripes we have is that the heating, in spite of changing the setting on the thermostat, is either boiling hot or off. I turned some of the radiators off and they still got hot! It was uncomfortably hot. Also the soap dispensers in the bathrooms were broken.
Overall very happy with our stay. Some minor niggles with squeaking doors and such, and we needed summer duvets to be brought to the property as winter ones in summer aren’t a great idea, but overall quite happy.
Beautiful quiet cottage, well presented, lovely area with a quirky pub down the road. Welcome pack was great and all mod cons you would need for a relaxing time.
A lovely property: characterful, stylish, comfortable, cosy, spacious. A particularly well-equipped kitchen (tools, pots and pans etc), so many rental properties fall short in this area. White Company bathroom products plus a quality hamper included. Parking on site for two medium sized cars, easy parking on the village green also. Good central Cotswolds location. Recommended and would stay again if in the Cotswolds.
Beautiful old building with lots of original features but with all the required mod-cons for a comfortable stay. We had 6 adults and two grandchildren with plenty of room to accommodate us all. Grounds and gardens were superb with tennis court, games room and gym. Easy driving to all places we needed to see, Stratford-on-Avon being the main attraction and Bourton-on-the-Water never loses it's charm so a lovely day was spent there.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Glen. It is a beautiful, comfortable house, brilliantly located and with the benefit of a parking space (although a tight squeeze for a big car!) We had a lovely stay - enjoying the local pubs, walking...and even attending the village amateur dramatics! We will definitely be back.
The barn was beautiful and the host Julia went above and beyond for us. The guest basket and everything else was perfection.
The cottage was great and the location was great. Only a dishwasher would have improved things. The local pub is great but gets very busy on a Saturday night. You need to book to get a table. It's the only pub in Naunton so if you can't get in you have to go to Stow or Bourton
A lovely warm, cosy cottage set in a beautiful peaceful location. Absolutely gorgeous. I would highly recommend.
Pat is an excellent and considerate hostess. thank you Pat. The studio is quiet and peaceful in a remote location ( as expected)but obviously well placed for excellent walking had we still been able to do so! A good map is essential to find ones way around the warren of narrow steep lanes . The studio is well equipped and comfortable, very clean it has everything one could expect. There is plenty to do and to enjoy within a few miles radius. We enjoyed our time there, and hope to visit again. Cotswold hideaways could have been more helpful at one stage of our booking .
We were very impressed with the Gardener's Cottage - they provided absolutely everything we needed, including some unexpected lovely food items - e.g. wine, juice, cereal, bread, butter, cake. The cottage was well cared-for and we had excellent communication with the owner. Highly recommend!
Stayed in Diamond cottage for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. The cottage has everything you need. Log fire was a real bonus as was the lovely garden and summerhouse. Walking distance to all the shops, pubs and restaurants. Highly recommend .
A lovely week at this very quiet relaxing spot half a mile off the main road. Very kind hosts made us so welcome, and provided all the necessary local advice needed to complete a much enjoyed week.
Super stylish, comfortable, quiet, roaring fires, lovely walks, great for kids - so relaxing. Visited Cirencester and the wildlife park, but really didn’t want to leave the cottage. A real home from home, Bella (4) loved her room and all the lovely toys.
Lovely comfortable cottage with good facilities. Very clean and well prepared. Beautiful tranquil garden, enclosed so dogs were safe. Lovely Welcome Hamper. We have visited the area before so knew this was a good location for us (dog walks, pubs etc.) Lovely to see the addition of the great cafe at the Community Shop. We hope to be back.
Had a great stay here. Really peaceful and in a great location for exploring the Cotswolds. The accommodation was very good and the owners were very friendly with a nice welcome - including a bottle of wine, Cheese & biscuits. Our dog had a great time on the farm with several walks from the farm into Moreton and back. Would recommend the Tractor Shed to anybody looking to explore the Cotswolds or just looking for some peace and quiet. Will definitely be going back in the future.
Really pleased with the overall cottage. Initial service and pre arrival information was really good. When we arrived we were welcomed with an excellent hamper of food (too much we took some home with us!). The cottage was in excellent condition, clean and smartly presented. Comfortable beds and bathroom clean and well prepared. Thanks you..we will definitely be back.
Everything was as advertised, so a great week surrounded by wonderful scenery. Just a pity about the wet weather!
We love staying here, it was our 2nd time this year and plan to return again next year :) Go and enjoy this cottage and its surrounding areas.
Very good facilities. Rural setting but an excellent pub called Keepers which was fabulous. Great food and super staff. No need to travel into Burford!
A beautiful relaxing cottage to return to after wonderful walks and fabulous food. Even the sun shone!
Wolds End was the perfect house for our celebratory family gathering. We couldn't have chosen a more idyllic place to stay.
What glorious views from the Pavilion. A lovely property overlooking the rolling Costwold Hills. Make sure you take binoculars if you enjoy wildlife watching - we saw Buzzards, red kites, an owl hunting, and deer during our stay. The location is fantastic if you have a car and it is walkable to the 'pub within one mile', however it is not open every day and is not your average country watering hole if you are looking for just a quick pint or two. The nearby villages have more 'down to earth' options a short car journey away.
We stayed here for a weekend with friends and children and had a lovely stay. So much space both inside and out, loved the enclosed garden and the kids loved going for a walk to find blackberries! We loved being able to get everyone together around the huge dining table and more than enough kitchen equipment to feed the masses. Really close to lots to do like broadway tower, great playground in broadway village. Owners were very welcoming and helpful. A brilliant stay, we'd love to go back in the summer and use the outdoor space more.
Fabulous place , roaring fire and a must for visitors who want to experience the Cotswolds at its best , with the convenience of Chipping Campden being around the corner. Wonderful hamper , and you’ll never run out of logs.
Well equipped for family holiday. Enclosed garden ideal for pets.Garden beautiful for relaxing in and super for grandchildren to play on swings and childrens cottage.
Not been to the Cotswolds since I was a child so over 35 years ago. Had a lovely week and revisited many places I remember as well as some new ones. Devon House Cottage was in lovely Stow on The Wold so an ideal location. Lovely cottage with all the home comforts. The only thing that let it down in my opinion was some areas of cleanliness needed a bit of an eye to detail. It was only minor things but the minor things make all the difference. That said I will probably go back.
Nellie’s Barn is the best Cotswolds property we have stayed in. Everything in the Barn is of high quality, comfortable and very well equipped. The rooms were spacious and. clean. There was plenty of hot water, underfloor heating and a log burning stove (although we didn’t need it). The beds have beautiful linens and coverings. The Barn is in a lovely setting, quiet and pretty with plenty of wildlife and a paddock for the dog. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return. Thanks to Debbie for being friendly and helpful.
We were thrilled when we arrived at Bay Tree Cottage. It provided everything we could want during our stay. Vanessa was very welcoming and had thought of everything. There were even treats, poo bags and bowls for our dog Daisy. For us bread, butter, milk, tea cakes, biscuits and a very welcome bottle of wine.
We arrived everything was as it should be . We had a large bowl of lovely fruit . Bread , butter , marmalade, cheese . Tea coffee, milk ,crackers, bottle of wine , a lovely Victoria sponge. Everything you would need before you went to the shops. Definitely stay again .
Lovely, spacious, quaint and quirky old barn conversion on the outskirts of a quiet, charming village. There were 14 of us easily accommodated in 7 sensibly sized double rooms, mostly en-suite. Slight downside is that two of the rooms are in the annexe with a floor, but no doors, to separate them so they would work better as a family space. The main social area is huge and more than accommodated our group. There is a table that would seat 20 comfortably along with plenty of seating space around a large wood burning fireplace. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped, with two cookers and a ran...more
A beautiful clean comfortable spacious cottage which provided all the amenities one could ask for. The cottage was a little bit dark but this is typical of many older properties. This did not detract from our enjoyment. The entrance porch was a little tired. Nice to be able to park off road in the beautiful and popular village of Chipping Campden.
Quiet lovely well set up cottage. Looked after very promptly by agent who genuinely cared when a couple of things required attention. Would not hesitate to recommend. The log fire was lovely. Pub across the road very good. Longborough is not on the tourist trail so its a quiet village but central to all the lovely places to visit. Moreton-in-Marsh up the road has several restaurants plus an Aldi.
Fabulous weekend break with my family celebrating our wedding anniversary. Cottage was beautiful, clean, comfortable and in a perfect location. Lovely welcome hamper waiting meant we didn’t have to rush to the shops. Plenty of games available in the cottage and a lovely BBQ made for a fun afternoon. Location was five mins walk into Bourton-on-the-Water. We would recommend a stay in this cottage and look forward to rebooking our next visit.
Snowshill is in a good location to see many of the Cotswolds villages. The house quickly became hone. The aga in the kitchen gave the whole house a warmth which we appreciated.
We had 4 very relaxing days. The location was peaceful , & the accommodation comfortable & also a good location for travellers around the Cotswolds
We loved our time at Pear Tree Cottage. In nearly every way it was perfect . Little things however were irritating. Many of the light bulbs were not working. In the top bedroom 3 out of 4 of the downlighter bulbs were not working and the en-suite shower bulb was also not working. This made life difficult as there are no bedside lights in this room. There is no mirror over the sink to facilitate male shaving. The robes in this top room were of children’s size. No full length mirror and only peg hangers . In the bedroom with no en-suite there were only 4 mismatched hangers. The kitchen was ...more
Lovely large barn conversion, ideal for a large family with children, far enough out of Stow to be quiet but convenient for all the local towns and visitor attractions Enclosed garden was ideal for the grandson and everything you could need was provided including a BBQ
Keytes Cottage is tucked away near the top of a narrow lane (parking and turning are tight). It has a lovely, homely atmosphere and the garden is outstanding, with wonderful views beyond. The cottage was immaculately presented on arrival and the welcome hamper is a super added bonus.
Pretty much everything you want in a holiday cottage. Well equipped, comfy beds, quiet location but with two good pubs (and a community shop) within a short walk, walks from the door and lots of great places to visit nearby. Expensive but worth the money.
The marketing pictures and info did not reflect the reality of the exterior or the parking problems encountered. The cottage’s Interior was comfortable, kitchen well stocked and clean. If parking issue was resolved, I would be likely to return.
We found the Old Chequer ideal for our short stay. We very quickly settled in including the dogs. We enjoyed having breakfast and drinks in the garden. Local footpaths were good and many of the places we wished to visit were a short drive away. The contents of the hamper were much appreciated.
Jasmine Cottage is excellent if you are looking for peace, quite and to relax. Excellent dog walking area with great pub within walking distance. The cottage is very well equipped and has everything you need, the hamper left for us was excellent. It is also very clean and well looked after and made for a very comfortable stay.
Beautiful accommodation with all the mod cons you need to make it a wonderful stay. Lovely hosts who are very attentive when needed without being too intrusive. We were welcomed with homemade bread, jam and butter which was a lovely touch. Conveniently situated to enjoy the Cotswolds. We look forward to returning one day in the future.
Lack of parking , Tv far to small in living room, Tumble dryer required, Smell from Indian unpleseant.
Steep spiral stairs to all floors not suitable for a couple of 88 year olds but we managed. Lovely garden to sit in the sunshine. Daughter and granddaughter enjoyed it immensely. Perfect for relieving the stress they have been under. Lovely and warm in the property (early April). Many interesting places to explore nearby. Would recommend Ask Italian restaurant in Morton, good food and ambiance. Nice staff. The key holder in the porch was a bit of a fiddle. Put the code in and press the top button. The keypad comes away to reveal the keys inside. Enjoy!
Garden unkept, lots of weeds and hedges in bad need of a cut, the grass hadn't been cut for about a month. Not enough sofas to seat 6 to relax in front of the TV in the kitchen area (house accommodates 8). Cobwebs everywhere. Lack of kitchen equipment. Very small tv in the sitting room so only 3 could watch it and the heating didn't work. A guest got stuck in the main bathroom as the door catch didn't work. Main window in the kitchen area leaked so the floor had to be mopped up. The main waste pipe came away from the sink outlet. We paid alot of money for a very disappointing property.
Very nice location and setting. Only slightly let down by furniture which is well passed its sell by date, in particular the bed and settee. The bed is on a slope and when you’re lying in it you feel like you’re sliding out of it. Otherwise a good place for a few days break. The welcome pack was very much appreciated.
We had a wonderful weekend in this cottage with our friends. The annex unfortunately smelt of paraffin when we arrived which was explained by the owner and although had been cleaned the strong odour was present all weekend. The cottage however was well appointed and beautiful and Oddington is a lovely village.
After reading through the reviews describing the property we were expecting accommodation that was near perfect .......not so. Generally the equipment was modern and in working order however ..... 1) We were advised not to use the stove in the lounge (Inglenook fireplace) as it was emitting a lot of smoke 2) The oven was rather grubby on the inside and had to be cleaned before it was used 3) The sofas in the lounge and snug had biscuit remnants under the cushions together with other bits and pieces 4). Farm traffic constantly using the lane adjoining the property causing noise and a cert...more
The pros were a good shower, nice welcome hamper, cozy bedroom, great wood burning stove, nice garden space, good welcome from son and daughter, good parking space. The cons were a steep narrow driveway, bathroom on ground floor was far from bedroom, damp with lots of bugs, no fire or oven mits.
