What a beautiful cottage - really spacious, had everything you needed, lovely private garden and the hamper was a nice retreat. ExClement location for exploring the Cotswolds and was lovely to come back to at the end of each day - felt like a real retreat. Enjoyed it do much we have already booked it again for next year!
Excellent getaway in a quiet hamlet with great pub only 2 minutes walk. Fantastic retreat for exploring the Cotswolds.
Lovely accommodation for 2 people in a beautiful village. Fantastic hamper awaiting us which was very much appreciated after a long very wet journey from the North of England. Ideally situated for many attractions. Would hope to return.
This was a beautiful apartment in a stunning setting with friendly and helpful hosts. Decorated and furnished to a high standard. The apartment had everything we needed for a family stay and included basic items such a washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, oil, coffee and tea which is really helpful for a short stay. Location was perfect being close to lots of small towns with lovely visitor attractions close by. I would definitely return here. No negatives at all.
We had to make a last minute booking and everything was handled impeccably. We arrived quite late but the next morning Andy arrived with a welcome package which was really appreciated (and unexpected!) The cottage was impeccable, had everything you would need and was very conveniently as we needed to be close to our daughter which was only a few miles away. I would highly recommend this cottage if you are looking for a place to stay in the Cotswold are
We have had a super stay at Hayloft. I am in a wheelchair much of the time and the cottage was easy to maneuver around and very comfortable. The stairs to the main bedroom were a bit of a challenge for me but well worth the effort - beautiful beamed room and bathroom. Nice sitting out areas drenched in sun. With a lovely hamper of local food ready on our arrival.
we had a lovely stay here, the place was immaculate, and patricia was the perfect host. basic foods on arrival which was really appreciated. the apartment, is beautifully decorated and provides a perfect setting. such a lovely stay and would definately return.
Little Shrublands is one of the best cottages we have stayed in. Great location in a lovely village. We enjoyed several barbecues in the lovely garden. Cottage is very well equipped with comfortable beds and comfortable sofas. Oh yes and the welcome pack was greatly appreciated.
Poppy's Cottage is delightful, comfortable and well equipped. The location is lovely and there is nothing you could want for. The welcome hamper was the best we have ever had. All the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. We took our German friends there for a week and they fell in love with Poppey's Cottage and the and the surrounding area as did we.
We stayed a week at Grooms cottage and it was one of the best holidays we have had, the cottage was so well equipped and comfortable, we had our labradoodle Laycee with us and she had a great time playing with the owners dogs in the garden. Also a great dog friendly pub over the road. We would love to come back.
A lovely welcoming cottage with much character and warmth. The whole cottage was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and set in beautiful surroundings. The welcome food pack contained all local produce and was the best we have ever experienced in a self catering property. With a wealth of places to visit locally, our week was over far too quickly and we hope to return.
St Micheals cottage was the highlight of our 6 week tour of Europe. The property and accommodation is unsurpassed! The cottage is beautiful and so comfortable and the gardens are magnificent. Broadway is a wonderful home base to explore the Cotswolds. It was fun to be able to walk from the cottage into the village and access the Cotswold Way. Lance and his wife and the gardener Pip are delightful! We hope to return to St. Michaels cottage in the near future.
Very much enjoyed our third stay in Snowshill,The cottage and location were excellent, The WiFi was intermittent sometimes ; as always in this area, It would be useful to have more towels of better quality
We really enjoyed our stay. The Barn (cottage) is in a lovely country location, very quite and peaceful. It is idly placed for surrounding villages, we enjoyed Bury End (please of eateries), Snowshill (Pub in walking distance and very interesting Snowhill manor). There are plenty of other places nearby too. We would recommend the pub in Lower Slaughter too; lovely pub in a beautiful location. Given the ages in our party we appreciated the two en-suites and having a downstairs toilet. The only disappointment was that the photograph of the Barn on the web site show views up the valley from t...more
Overall very happy with our stay. Some minor niggles with squeaking doors and such, and we needed summer duvets to be brought to the property as winter ones in summer aren’t a great idea, but overall quite happy.
We had a really wonderful stay in this beautiful house. It is spacious, stylish, homely, clean and in a very lovely location. The host Charlotte, is really great and made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend it. In fact I would have happily stayed forever!
A great house and a superb location, extremely handy for walking into Bourton on the Water and also for driving to other Cotswold villages and attractions. Best beds for comfort we have ever had the pleasure of sleeping in. Extremely clean throughout the house. Two minor issues, the showers in the main bathroom and en-suite were electric Triton showers were quite poor. Also the 2 two seater settees in the main lounge were very low and soft which will not be to everyone's liking or comfort. Overall though the quality of everything in the house and garden was excellent. Super parking area and ...more
A delightful cottage, situated right near the centre of Bourton. Super welcome pack and everything you could possibly need for a lovely holiday. Good garden with table and chairs. This property is very convenient for the local supermarket and lovely walks to neighbouring villages.
All clean and tidy. Just a few additions would have made it even better. There was no shaver socket in bathroom and using hairdryer near mirror difficult - we had to the move mirror. Could do with a full length mirror as well. Kitchen could be improved by addition of a second small saucepan and a few microwave bowls , plastic or glass. As this is an accommodation for two, meals are therefore prepared in small quantities.
Our stay at Mary’s Aces was for my fathers 60th birthday, we had a wonderful time. The house is amazing & has all the home comforts you need. We had family join us from New Zealand & this home gave us all an amazing Cotswold holiday.
Lovely house in a nice village. 3 nice pub restaurants within walking distance and more in the lovely town of Burford (within a short drive). The house included everything we needed, was well maintained and very clean. Great location to explore the local area and lovely walks nearby in the Wildwood. Large well maintained garden for the family to play and seating area for afternoon BBQs. Spacious house with plenty of room for the whole family. Would stay again and recommend to family and friends.
Thank you for a lovely weekend . Coniston house is beautiful in an excellent location . So many places to eat bust and walk to.
Beautiful old building with lots of original features but with all the required mod-cons for a comfortable stay. We had 6 adults and two grandchildren with plenty of room to accommodate us all. Grounds and gardens were superb with tennis court, games room and gym. Easy driving to all places we needed to see, Stratford-on-Avon being the main attraction and Bourton-on-the-Water never loses it's charm so a lovely day was spent there.
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cottage with everything you could ask for within this extremely comfortable and well laid out cottage which is a must stay if you are in the area and look forward to your welcome hamper which was pure luxury.
Diamond Cottage was superb & had all that we needed. The garden was just what we hoped for as our 2 dogs were totally secure and gave peace of mind. The cottage was very clean & cosy with lovely furnishings & bed linen. It would be good to be able to record TV programmes so we had a few favourites when we returned from restaurants each night. Look forward to returning to this beautiful area.
The cottage was great and the location was great. Only a dishwasher would have improved things. The local pub is great but gets very busy on a Saturday night. You need to book to get a table. It's the only pub in Naunton so if you can't get in you have to go to Stow or Bourton
Beautiful quiet cottage, well presented, lovely area with a quirky pub down the road. Welcome pack was great and all mod cons you would need for a relaxing time.
Lovely house in a fabulous location. Was a great base for a first time visit to the Cotswolds. Would definitely visit again
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Glen. It is a beautiful, comfortable house, brilliantly located and with the benefit of a parking space (although a tight squeeze for a big car!) We had a lovely stay - enjoying the local pubs, walking...and even attending the village amateur dramatics! We will definitely be back.
The cottage was perfect for our family and a great base for exploring the Cotswolds. We were comfortable and felt relaxed in the setting and appreciated the welcome hamper which was a nice touch. Thank you!
A lovely week at this very quiet relaxing spot half a mile off the main road. Very kind hosts made us so welcome, and provided all the necessary local advice needed to complete a much enjoyed week.
Lovely comfortable cottage with good facilities. Very clean and well prepared. Beautiful tranquil garden, enclosed so dogs were safe. Lovely Welcome Hamper. We have visited the area before so knew this was a good location for us (dog walks, pubs etc.) Lovely to see the addition of the great cafe at the Community Shop. We hope to be back.
Super stylish, comfortable, quiet, roaring fires, lovely walks, great for kids - so relaxing. Visited Cirencester and the wildlife park, but really didn’t want to leave the cottage. A real home from home, Bella (4) loved her room and all the lovely toys.
Very comfortable & warm cottage, well equipped, very clean & tidy. Would definitely recommend it if there had been a visitors book.
Just right for one/two. Plenty of things to do! Rain or shine You will always be fine Plenty of treats Good things to eat!
What glorious views from the Pavilion. A lovely property overlooking the rolling Costwold Hills. Make sure you take binoculars if you enjoy wildlife watching - we saw Buzzards, red kites, an owl hunting, and deer during our stay. The location is fantastic if you have a car and it is walkable to the 'pub within one mile', however it is not open every day and is not your average country watering hole if you are looking for just a quick pint or two. The nearby villages have more 'down to earth' options a short car journey away.
Well equipped for family holiday. Enclosed garden ideal for pets.Garden beautiful for relaxing in and super for grandchildren to play on swings and childrens cottage.
Nellie’s Barn is the best Cotswolds property we have stayed in. Everything in the Barn is of high quality, comfortable and very well equipped. The rooms were spacious and. clean. There was plenty of hot water, underfloor heating and a log burning stove (although we didn’t need it). The beds have beautiful linens and coverings. The Barn is in a lovely setting, quiet and pretty with plenty of wildlife and a paddock for the dog. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return. Thanks to Debbie for being friendly and helpful.
We got caught in heavy rain in Burford but after contacting Vanessa she was happy for us to go into the cottage a little early. Vanessa came and visited a short time after to introduce herself and told us a little bit of history about the cottage which was nice. There was some nice welcome touches like milk, bread, butter etc which were much appreciated. The bed was the best bed we have ever slept in away from home. The cottage is in a great location to visit lots of different places so a great base. Wifi was very good, we would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone.
We had 4 very relaxing days. The location was peaceful , & the accommodation comfortable & also a good location for travellers around the Cotswolds
We booked WPB and HP for 20 family members. A mixture of four generations of our family gathered together to celebrate dads 100th birthday. The atmosphere and setting of the accommodation were perfect for us. In WPB we were all able to sit comfortably around the huge table in the central area, and able to retire to the lounge area and light a fire in the evening. We had a BBQ on Saturday, and sat outside under the covered area while the food was cooking. Dad plus three daughters stayed in HP. He slept in the downstairs bedroom and had a quiet relaxing start to each day. Later we transferred to...more
Booked this cottage to take elderly parents away for Dads 90th birthday. The cottage was perfect having two en suite bedrooms and a lovely bright kitchen dining area. The court yard garden is secluded with table chairs and umbrella ideal for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. The village is quiet and pretty with a pub just across the green. The cottage is ideally situated to make the most of the nearby countryside and popular towns and villages. Overall the cottage is very clean and comfortable with everything provided. Would recommend.
Snowshill is in a good location to see many of the Cotswolds villages. The house quickly became hone. The aga in the kitchen gave the whole house a warmth which we appreciated.
We arrived everything was as it should be . We had a large bowl of lovely fruit . Bread , butter , marmalade, cheese . Tea coffee, milk ,crackers, bottle of wine , a lovely Victoria sponge. Everything you would need before you went to the shops. Definitely stay again .
Located in the centre of Stow on the Wold very convenient to everything. Accommodation well presented and spacious across the three floors. Suitable for 6adults and very well equipped for dogs. We were a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the kettle which requires descaling and the bathroom fan does not work meaning it is showing some early signs of mould. However we thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend and thought Stow was a perfect location.
Lovely large barn conversion, ideal for a large family with children, far enough out of Stow to be quiet but convenient for all the local towns and visitor attractions Enclosed garden was ideal for the grandson and everything you could need was provided including a BBQ
A very comfortable cottage in the midst of beautiful countryside. The only downside was the hot water tap for the bath did not work, we could only fill the bath via the shower.
Keytes Cottage is tucked away near the top of a narrow lane (parking and turning are tight). It has a lovely, homely atmosphere and the garden is outstanding, with wonderful views beyond. The cottage was immaculately presented on arrival and the welcome hamper is a super added bonus.
There was plenty of space for our large group, especially in the lounge, around the dining table, and on the patio. The kitchen was well equipped, and it was nice to see that our dogs had treats waiting for them. There's a decent sized garden (although the hedges and bushes could do with a trim). It's well situated just far enough from the village centre. The new Co-op is excellent.
A first class holiday venue. My party had a really great time at this Barn. All went as planned, with help from the owner when needed. Cant speak highly enough about this lovely place. We had a caterer come in for one evening which helped with the cooking for the 14 of us there.
We holidayed with friends for a week at The Cider Press which was most enjoyable. The welcome pack was amazing and to find everyday necessities (tea, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid, washing pods tea towels etc) was brilliant. There were many little extras one would not usually find in a holiday property. The owner is very nice & lives nearby. The lounge is large and well furnished with comfortable sofas & chairs. The kitchen is of a good size, well fitted & nicely furnished. The only thing we didn't like was apart from the fridge there was nowhere to store food as all cupboards were ful...more
We found the Old Chequer ideal for our short stay. We very quickly settled in including the dogs. We enjoyed having breakfast and drinks in the garden. Local footpaths were good and many of the places we wished to visit were a short drive away. The contents of the hamper were much appreciated.
Beautiful accommodation with all the mod cons you need to make it a wonderful stay. Lovely hosts who are very attentive when needed without being too intrusive. We were welcomed with homemade bread, jam and butter which was a lovely touch. Conveniently situated to enjoy the Cotswolds. We look forward to returning one day in the future.
Beautiful cottage, light and airy, in an excellent location, from which it is possible to take several good walks. The contents of the hamper were very welcome. For the convenience of guests I would suggest relocating the microwave in the kitchen to the other side of the sink to give more room for access and to avoid banging one's head on the stair case. Cutlery, crockery (including the cake tin and saucepan) were less clean than we would have expected. We noticed a small gap in the floor tile grouting near the shower door; in time this could potentially lead to a leak to the fl...more
Jasmine cottage was a base for a few days of walking with my dog and a friend from the US and it was perfect for us. Windrush is remarkably peaceful given how conveniently close to Burford, a range of excellent pubs and the A40 it is. The cottage was well-equipped and welcoming and as the weather was very warm the fact that the sitting room is quite dark didn’t matter.
We stayed at Top Cottage a number of years ago and had a lovely experience. However our stay there this year was different. It has a nice fenced-in yard, but the garden no longer looks well cared for. Within a day of our arrival, we found a lot of garbage and recycling from previous tenants in the bins at the end of the garden. There was so much recycling there that we had no place to put our recycling and there was no indication within the cottage of when the garbage should go to the curb. Many of the dishes we pulled from the cupboard were dirty. Also, there is mould in the bedro...more
Very nice location and setting. Only slightly let down by furniture which is well passed its sell by date, in particular the bed and settee. The bed is on a slope and when you’re lying in it you feel like you’re sliding out of it. Otherwise a good place for a few days break. The welcome pack was very much appreciated.
Steep spiral stairs to all floors not suitable for a couple of 88 year olds but we managed. Lovely garden to sit in the sunshine. Daughter and granddaughter enjoyed it immensely. Perfect for relieving the stress they have been under. Lovely and warm in the property (early April). Many interesting places to explore nearby. Would recommend Ask Italian restaurant in Morton, good food and ambiance. Nice staff. The key holder in the porch was a bit of a fiddle. Put the code in and press the top button. The keypad comes away to reveal the keys inside. Enjoy!
Very nice house somewhat closer to the road than the pictures show you when choosing this property. A house with one glaring omission no banisters anywhere.I know the brochure pointed this out but it did not make it clear how steep the stairs were. We tried to telephone Heather on mobile and landline on the day we arrived but could not raise her we eventually found the house keys in the darkness of the wood shed a light would be helpfull.
After reading through the reviews describing the property we were expecting accommodation that was near perfect .......not so. Generally the equipment was modern and in working order however ..... 1) We were advised not to use the stove in the lounge (Inglenook fireplace) as it was emitting a lot of smoke 2) The oven was rather grubby on the inside and had to be cleaned before it was used 3) The sofas in the lounge and snug had biscuit remnants under the cushions together with other bits and pieces 4). Farm traffic constantly using the lane adjoining the property causing noise and a cert...more
