Beautiful cottage, well furnished and well kept. Very quiet village with nice local pub just yards always from the cottage. Great location for exploring the likes of Broadway, Chipping Campden and Stow etc. The owner Lynne met us on arrival and was lovely and helpful. Obviously takes a lot of pride in the cottage, also called on leaving day to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Great trip, would love to return.
We had a lovely few days at Le Manoir, it was comfortable and clean, we could not have asked for more for our half-term staycation.
A truly remarkable property, we very much enjoyed the tranquility and our hosts’ generosity and warmth. We will be back!
A beautiful property, tastefully decorated and very clean. Checking in and out was easy. Easy to walk along the river to Stratford and to some local pubs. A secluded spot but building work has started behind the property so there was noise from machinery.
A beautifully presented cottage and garden room. So welcoming with a hamper and tea tray. Lisa is super responsive and helpful. The attention to detail this perfect Lovey local pub nearby. Can’t wait to go back
We had a fabulous holiday. Harrowby End provides comfortable, cosy accommodation, with comfortable beds and a beautiful outdoor space for an evening aperitif. The local pub offers good food and you can walk to Hidcote Manor from the cottage. All great ingredients for a fabulous week.
Fantastic location, Broadway just a 10-minute walk into the village. The house was ideal for what we needed for our family weekend away - age range 86-27. The welcome package was amazing - the best one we have had to date! Fiona was very friendly, welcoming and great communication. Considering coming back next year! We can recommend the Tattersals Brasserie Broadway for Sunday lunch - Deeelicious! Staff were very friendly and courteous. Have booked to go again in 2 weeks' time for a girly weekend. Russels Fish & Chips another recommendation - lovely staff - get in early - it's a ver...more
What a find! Had a wonderful weekend stay At this fantastic property. Very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean
This cottage was magical. Typical chocolate box cottage from outside with an internal twist with wonderful bathrooms and kitchen. Each room was perfect and only wish we could have sat in the garden as well. If I had one complaint, the open fire was difficult to set up and we had a back draft of smoke which we smelt for a few days - a log burner would probably cure this? Otherwise a fabulous stay
We found the cottage to be of the highest standard. Very clean & comfortable in a lovely quiet village near to everything.
Manor Farm is a characterful property that is well maintained. The attention to detail considers the needs of every guest. All bedrooms comfortably sleep 2 in a large double or twin beds with excellent bedding. The showers are warm and powerful and bathrooms well-appointed. As a group, we have rented many houses over tha last 10 + years and this one was voted at the top. The area is ideal for long or short walks and good hills with spectacular views. Also ideal for those who enjoy sightseeing or shopping.
Could not recommend this beautiful cottage enough, exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. Location is perfect, a very short drive to chipping Norton where there are plenty of shops and we found it was a short distance to other attractions we wanted to visit one being Bleinham palace light trail which we would also recommend. The cottage is set on a farm, was great seeing the cows and horses walking by over the fields and there is a footpath right outside the door. we absolutely love the log burner and couldn’t wait to get back and sit by the fire every night. Would 100% recommen...more
This is singularly the most beautiful place we have stayed in for a weekend break. Everything you need is there and everywhere is comfortable and homely. The welcome pack was extremely generous too. We will definitely return.
We loved this house. The garden is a tranquil haven. Blessed with fabulous weather we spent most time watching the river and the life going by. The house was spotlessly clean and well equipped, with beautiful views from every window. We rented a narrow boat next door - so convenient and spent a glorious day on the river. Perfect weekend and highly recommended.
Mole End Cottage was the perfect cottage to start to get into the festive spirit, put the fire on, Christmas movies and relax. Mole End Cottage was so well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It was extremely clean and tidy and there wasn’t anything we didn’t have which was amazing. Linda was so friendly & helpful! The Hamper with all the goodies in was very welcomed and enjoyed! We will certainly be booking again!
Had a great 4 night stay at Tetbury! Appreciated the welcome basket with tidbits, drinks and even delicious homemade apple juice. The room was comfy, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking and living room was perfect with Netflix available for a cosy night in. The town is really charming, with so many great restaurants! We particularly enjoyed Lola, the Spanish tapas place and the local fish and chips store! Cafe 53 has a really great souvenir and craft shop for quaint shopping!
It was a pleasure to stay in hunter cottage. Good location for visiting the lovely villages of the Cotswolds. Very comfortable and clean with everything you need for a perfect stay. Thank you
The Glen is a chocolate box cottage in a lovely Cotswold village. It is incredibly peaceful and tranquil. The beds were super comfortable with pristine white bedding and the lounge was cosy and comfortable. We had a fabulous stay and most things were top-notch. There were a couple of things which we felt could’ve been better – the kitchen units were a little tired looking and Had been well used, so the drawers were quite clunky to open and close. We were unable to find a potato peeler or a key to fit the second of the double doors into the garden but Cotswold hideaways responded well when we ...more
It was everything we expected an fully met our needs. The location was ideal and the weather was very kind. My only criticism is we found the sofa very uncomfortable for watching tv, which was not that often.
What a delight. Beds very comfortable Garden was beautiful. Space to relax and enjoy the accommodation. Parking a bonus. Location perfect.
We were very pleased with our stay at Gardener's Cottage. It was in a great location and perfectly satisfied our needs for a Xmas break with 5 adults. Plenty of space in the lounge and a separate dining room. The separate TV room was ideal but we did not find ourselves using the space very much. The garden was lovely and it was shame that we weren't able to use it at this time of year. We had some problems with the electrics during our stay but the property owner was very responsive and the problem was fixed the same day despite it being the day after Boxing Day. If we come back to the Co...more
Superb well equipped cottage in delightful village, with excellent local pub. Stairs to two of the bedrooms could be a challenge for small children or the elderly. The cottage is ideal for both Summer and winter visits....warm and cosy with beautiful outside space.
Excellent stay. Lovely picturesque location. Gerry was so helpful and accommodating. Owners left lovely treats for us on arrival. Highly recommended
We loved the Barn. Great location in the countryside and a lovely 30 minute walk to the nearest pub. The kitchen was fantastically well equipped with everything you could possibly need and the welcome hamper was very generous. The barn was very comfortable and warm, with the log fire being a lovely bonus. The enclosed paddock for the dog was fab too. We would definitely return.
Had a wonderful stay at Little Shrublands: very comfortable cottage in excellent location. Well equipped and lovely furnishing.
The flat was small but well designed to make the most of the space and with an excellent bathroom. Extra space was provided by a glass covered extension at the front. Bournes green, although quite close to Stroud, which we visited for shopping was very quiet and secluded., set amongst lovely valley countryside. With good weather we were able to walk locally everyday and got the relaxing break that we needed. If the weather had not been so good there were places to visit not too far away. That was all complemented by Mrs Pye's friendly and helpful hospitality. We felt very mush 'at home'...more
We stayed at Apple cottage over the new year period, and I want to give a big thank you to the owners and the caretaker. The cottage is heavenly! We arrived at dusk and the lights were on, the cottage warm and cosy, and the Christmas lights all lit, a big welcome basket of goodies and milk and fresh orange in the fridge, what a lovely welcome! The cottage itself is very spacious, big bedrooms with huge comfy beds and soft bed linens. I couldn’t wait to get into bed every night! The kitchen is really well equipped, dishwasher tablets, foil and cling film all provided, it’s a lovely space to...more
Beautiful old building with lots of original features but with all the required mod-cons for a comfortable stay. We had 6 adults and two grandchildren with plenty of room to accommodate us all. Grounds and gardens were superb with tennis court, games room and gym. Easy driving to all places we needed to see, Stratford-on-Avon being the main attraction and Bourton-on-the-Water never loses it's charm so a lovely day was spent there.
Excellent accommodation set in beautiful surroundings . Lovely welcome pack. My only criticism is my husband is disabled needed a chair in shower down stairs and also some kind of shelf on the wall to hold toiletries in the shower and maybe a crab bar. We had a great stay visited lots of places and it helped because we had great weather.Would recommend this farm house to everybody it had everything you needed plus more. Owner was very friendly. Will go back again.
Very relaxing and peaceful stay, wonderful location with amazing views from the garden Would definitely return to this property
Fairfields is a joyous house, so well situated with ease to the pubs, shops, Arboretum & so many other places to walk. Also so many interesting places to visit that are close by. We found lots of places to visit which were amazing and of fascinating interest. Then back to the lovely house to relax with a glass of wine and put your feet up.
The Coach House and Stables at the Lammas is a lovely, spacious ,comfortable and fully equipped cottage in the Cotswolds. The only facility lacking was a downstairs loo! Otherwise perfect for a party of 8.
Lovely cottage in Chipping Camden. Decorated beautifully and well appointed. Great garden for dogs or kids. Many walks nearby and lots of dog friendly pubs and restaurants. Really enjoyed our stay. Watch for ceiling height in the attic!
The cottage was a bit difficult to find, but lovely when we arrived. The provisions were very welcome after a long drive. A very comfortable and well equipped cottage with plenty of parking and space to relax inside and out. Just a couple of negatives We couldnt get the hang of the tv as we are probably old technophobes with no experience of 'apps' on a tv The second bedroom would be ideal for children but too small for an adult couple.
We arrived on Friday night to a lovely cottage on the High Street with ample parking for a large car. The cottage was a delight to explore and beautifully decorated. We were delighted to find a lovely welcome pack waiting for us in the kitchen, our daughter especially liked the double chocolate biscuits. The kitchen was very well equipped and we really liked the way the kitchen was designed. The sitting/dining room was very comfortable and the large television had access to Netflix and iPlayer. The bedrooms were lovely each with their own modern bathroom, very comfortable beds, with cotto...more
A lovely cottage right in the heart of Tetbury. Nice furnishings and well equipped. Enjoyed the log fire on the stormy nights. Few things for improvement - the house particulars before you book should provide more info on how difficult the parking access is. Missing handle on drawer in master bedroom gives impression of lack of love. Cutting corners with a cheap and nasty hairdryer and Tesco products in the hamper takes away some of the ‘wow’ you should get when you walk in which is a shame because there’s so much that’s good about the place.
We came to Millstone Cottage for a family reunion and there was plenty room for all of us. The cottage was just a 10 minute walk from Bourton on the Water village and we enjoyed a roast at the Mousetrap pub a few doors down. The kitchen had everything we needed and there were plenty of towels, glasses, mugs etc for everyone.
Beautiful immaculate house. The two wood burning stoves were an added bonus. Lovely lounge and kitchen. Wonderful way to spend our 50th wedding anniversary with the family, much fun and laughter. We really appreciated the way our booking was handled by the Cotswolds Hideaway team, very helpful and professional and look forward to using them once again. Great location ,beautiful scenery. Also must mention the quality of the Welcome Pack. Thank you for an amazing four days.
Lovely property secluded in small village yet just up road from Moreton-in-Marsh and short drive to all the best villages in Cotswolds.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Bothy in Halford. The cottage was exceptionally placed for visiting the area with many National Trust places nearby. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped with a lovely patio to sit outside. Cotswolds Hideaways were very prompt to resolve a small problem. We hope to return one day.
Beautiful location with plenty of walks. Near enough for days out to other lovely Cotswolds beauty spots. The house is really unique, plenty of great space for a family gathering, had everything that was needed, we had a fantastic stay.
Our first impression from the outside was very favourable . This cottage is in a beautiful village in a perfect location for visiting the well known surrounding villages such as Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the water, Broadway and Burford . We were a little disappointed with the inside. It is very small with limited storage . However, the owners, who live in the adjoining cottage, are very pleasant and helpful. They kindly stored our dog’s frozen food in their freezer for us. Much appreciated. They also left a welcome bowl of fruit and biscuits which we thought was kind and thoughtful. The lit...more
A lovely cottage in a small, quiet village but only five miles from Stow on the Wold, ideally positioned for the cotswolds & Oxford. The cottage itself is delightful, small but well equipped with a conservatory for meals and small garden ideal for an evening drink.
My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Cider Press. It was ideal because I was recovering from major knee surgery and needed to be on the ground floor. It was so nice to be able to stay somewhere with all the character of a Cotswold cottage with plenty of room for my wheelchair when required. In spite of the very cold weather, the cottage was warm and cosy and well equipped for self catering, with a delightful welcome pack of local produce.
Nice and quiet. Had to find out the walks that go straight from the cottage ourselves. Could have been more info. Overall good.
We really enjoyed our stay at Spring Cottage. It is beautifully located in Painswick and the directions were good. The welcome basket was generous and helped us settle in easily. Each room was attractive and well set up. A drying rack would have been helpful as would a washing machine although we appreciated having some done for us after a week.
House was located in peaceful lane, lovely countryside views. It was very clean, very homely, we all wanted to stay longer. Garden was safe for the children. It does seem a lot of money but we had such a wonderful long weekend it was worth it and I would definitely book again
Loved our time here. Very accommodating - very tidy and so well equipped. The kitchen was great - they were able to provide 2 highchairs for our twins and a baby gate . Very happy and beautiful location
Pear Tree Cottage was the perfect destination. Close to all of the Cotswolds in a small idyllic village. Everything you need is supplied and beautifully decorated to a luxurious standard. We enjoyed the outdoor bar and BBQ that was heated for a slightly chilly night, outdoor seating in multiple areas and a well equipped kitchen for cooking. The local Pub - Horse and Groom - around the corner also had great meals and atmosphere. Lots of rooms to be separate or together around the wonderful large table or in the study for work or TV room for a chill out. We recommend Pear Tree Cottage to a...more
What a wonderful find! Bay Tree cottage was idyllic. We had a wonderful few days here exploring the Cotswolds with our young black lab. The cottage catered for all our needs, was beautiful inside and out and spotlessly clean. Thanks to Vanessa for our welcome hamper and her attention to detail.
We spent an excellent family weekend with our dog at Stone Barn. The accommodation was excellent with large open plan sitting room kitchen/dinner. The downstairs bedroom with ensuit bathroom was particulary useful for my husband who has limited mobility. We were very impressed with the high-end appliances fitted in the property. All the bedrooms were comfortable, clean and with TV installed with full Sky package including movie channel. The wall garden provided privancy and security for our dog. If we were there in the summer, it would be an excellent place for BBQ and relaxing. We were also i...more
A throughly enjoyable stay.Settees in Watery Park Barn too deep. Outdoor seating fantastic. A wonderful Family gathering venue
Although it was hard to find at first & the directions were not specific enough, when we eventually found The Coach House we absolutely loved it. The house had everything that you could ever want & we appreciated the hamper that was left for us. There was wood for the fire supplied, Netflix as well & the house was very comfortable & warm. I loved the combined washer/dryer. It is very centrally located also & easy to get to all the villages. We loved it.
We were really happy with the property, clean and perfect location for Stow etc. Plenty of space for the two of us and the dog. Property was warm and comfortable and there was plenty of firewood. Only minor criticism was that the bathroom was actually too warm, but it did mean towels were always try. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.
We were generally very happy with Devon House Cottage. The directions for finding it were great and easy to follow, and it was so quiet! Upon arrival we noticed that perhaps the cleanliness could have been a little better with the staircase carpet noticeably in need of more vacuuming. The hot water was great but the operation of the heating system was a little confusing. We also noted that there appeared to be no way of recycling food waste. Information supplied about the recycling included reference to food waste but there was no food caddy either in the kitchen or outside along with the othe...more
The cottage was easy to find and well located on the edge of Quenington. Inside the overall impression was good : kitchen is light and generally well equipped (no extraction fan over hob) with a cosy sitting area. The main sitting room seats four comfortably- bit of a squeeze if more in the party. Main bedroom with en-suite shower good, bedding was fresh and plenty of storage. The other two bedrooms were twin bedded, one more suitable to children as beds are narrow and the room is small. On the negative side: Mattresses and pillows could do with replacing. There wasn’t any tea or coffee or...more
The Old Bakery was the absolutely perfect venue for 5 friends and a dog to escape away to for a long weekend. The house has every comfort you could wish for, and was so cosy that in November we didn't need the heating on all weekend. Our hosts were really thoughtful and had left milk, tea, coffee, oil and snacks for the humans, all locally sourced, however to find a towel, bowl, poo bags and pack of treats for the dog was such a lovely touch, and the treats went down a storm! The location is great with plenty to do, including dog walks from the doorstep.
We always enjoy staying at Jasmine Cottage on our anniversary, it has a lovely feel to it! The location is perfect for us as we love Burford and Cirencester, both very special to us. The cottage has everything that we need for our stay. The tv has been updated to a smart tv since our last stay which was useful! We were sad though to see that the food hamper is no longer on offer as we always found it very useful and had packed our food with the hamper in mind but relieved to still get tea, coffee and some yummy biscuits! Really enjoy staying here, will be back again!
We had wonderful weekend staying at Lower Farmhouse. Really comfortable, clean and tastefully homely. Well equipped and a very good size for 10 of us. Would definitely stay there again.
This is such great accommodation in a beautiful area of the Cotswolds. The barn conversion is as described, and the check-in/out process was very straightforward. The house is well equiped with all we needed and there was a welcome bag with t-bags, coffee, milk, orange juice and biscuits. It is self catering, but given what we paid for the week, it surely wouldn't have been too much to include more than 3 toilet rolls to be left for a booking of 4 people! That's the first time in self catering that we'd come across this, as normally that's included. There's wonderful space outside to enjoy sitt...more
We very much enjoyed our stay here - the accommodation was very well equipped. A couple of things puzzled/concerned us...we hope it is useful to have these noted. 1.We felt that the temperature set for the heating was not quite high enough @ 18 degrees. The rooms should feel warm enough without the use of the log-burner. 2. The arrival guide was useful but we were surprised that the Snowshill Arms did not feature on it. The delight of such a warm and welcoming pub within walking distance is a great plus. The food, though not a gastro-pub menu, was more than adequate and well cooked. T...more
We would if it was absolutely child / dog friendly because of Brook opening to side of cottage easy for getting out & dangerous as near Rd also opening in bottom of hedge also not safe for children / dogs we know this as our dog got out we would love to come back
Great location for walking into the town and for exploring the Cotswolds It’s a small cosy cottage with a woodburning stove
Absolutely loved our stay at this lovely and quirky cottage. On arrival there was a lovely welcome hamper with yummy treats. Very impressed with the cleanliness, couldn't fault it at all. The garden was gorgeous, so many beautiful abundance of flowers. Living in a town it was such a pleasure to see all the birdlife, and we were fortunate to see so many different birds. Finally, The fox is most be visited, very friendly staff good food and drink.
Lovely cottage in Cotswold Village near to Stow and Moreton. Small outside terraced area. Had a main bathroom and an incomplete en-suite in the top floor bedroom which at time of occupation had a bit of a smell. Warned in advance. Dishwasher but no washing machine. Front door lock annoyingly difficult to open/ close and needs replacing. Hot water remotely controlled and had to alter timings with owner. Generally very clean. Lots of walks and places to eat nearby.
Provided everything we needed for a 12 person family long weekend. Two very minor points:- 1. It would help if downstairs light switches were labelled. 2. Shower screen in bedroom 1 allowed water to reach floor and leak through to ceiling below..
Lowfields was the perfect location for those seeking peace and quiet. Only took about 20 minutes to reach other places of interest, such as Burton on the Water, Upper and Lower Slaughter, Burford etc. Would certainly love to go back for another visit.
Very loud creaking floorboards were a big problem as if anyone went to toilet in middle of night or got up eearly to go downstairs it woke others sleeping up.
This cottage was booked fort a 60th Birthday with family and was perfect, we (parents) stayed in the Annexe which was great as seperate from kids (all in late 20s/30s) however, the bed in the annexe was too small for us so I slept on sofabed. Perfect location for Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water and also great for lakes, weather was perfect would definately go back. Thanks
Spent a lovely Christmas with family, perfect for children and dogs Kitchen superb to cook in Overall a great stay and lovely place
We found the property very good and extremely well placed. The cleaner was extremely helpful. A few observations however. The equipment was complicated to use. The garage area was very dark and a little intimidating after dark. We could not get the broadband to work at all. In 2021 this is a little disappointing. Otherwise a lovely weekend in a lovely apartment.
