Devon House Cottage is a delightful, honey coloured stone cottage located close to the centre of the popular Cotswold town of Stow-on-the-Wold. Completed in 2005, the cottage has been furnished to a high standard with a warm and homely feel throughout.

Lovely comfortable, clean, well fitted out cottage in a very convenient location in Stow on the Wold. Perfect for a short family break, or would be ideal for two couples.

Ideal location easy walk to town. Very comfortable and very quiet. We had lovely week and greatly appreciated being able to eat outside in the small private garden. We loved exploring Stow and enjoyed town trail walk.

We have just returned from two wonderful weeks in Devon House Cottage. The cottage - clean, everything you need, tastefully decorated, parking for one car, quiet location yet only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Stow - lovely. We have already booked for next year.



An excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds.

We were generally very happy with Devon House Cottage. The directions for finding it were great and easy to follow, and it was so quiet! Upon arrival we noticed that perhaps the cleanliness could have been a little better with the staircase carpet noticeably in need of more vacuuming. The hot water was great but the operation of the heating system was a little confusing. We also noted that there appeared to be no way of recycling food waste. Information supplied about the recycling included reference to food waste but there was no food caddy either in the kitchen or outside along with the other recycling boxes. We had to save our food waste (mainly tea bags) and deposit it in the public waste bin on our last day.
The beds were reasonably comfortable and the towels and bed linen provided were fine.
We also appreciated the information booklets and discount vouchers for local retail destinations.
We enjoyed our stay and hope to return to the Cotswolds again as there is lots to see.

All OK except for the hard, wooden dining chairs which were very uncomfortable - took the cushions from the settee to sit on. Well located for many of the attractions around the area and Stow itself is a nice place - within a 5 minute walk of the cottage.

Devon House Cottage, is perfect for walking into Stow on the Wold, it is a very well kitted out comfortable cottage. Sunny garden.
We would certainly go back there for another week.

We found the cottage very cosy and comfortable. However we did find the parking a problem with a big car. No problem with a small car. We also found that the request to leave the property by 9.am a little unreasonable.

Warm and inviting Devon House Cottage is a great holiday home located in the superbly enchanting town of Stow on the Wolf. The cottage is perfect for a couple or a family with a generous living space, beautifully decorated throughout well appointed bedrooms and because of it’s position in the town allows easy access to all the great variety of shops, restaurants and pubs.
A well equipped kitchen/ dining area complimented the restful lounge with all the entertainment devices you could need
This is a home from home and the owners have thought of everything to make their clients happy, and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday break and would certainly consider booking again !
Only one thing that might be improved would be the settees in the lounge, maybe they need either replacing or re stuffing, they’re a little uncomfortable but other than that Devon House is a wonderful and excellent cottage to explore the Cotswolds

We spent a lovely week in Devon House Cottage in July 2021. The cottage had everything we needed and as it was in a central location we were able to walk out in the evenings either to a pub or to collect a take-away. We also walked to Tesco a couple of times which took about 10 mins, the traffic in the town centre tended to be busy so it was quicker to walk than drive!

The reason I only gave a "4" for comfort is that the 13.5 Tog duvet on the King Size bed in the main en suite bedroom was rather warm for the summer months. A thinner summer one would have been more appropriate.

We visited some lovely places during our stay, including Hidcote National Trust near Chipping Campden, Snowshill NT at Broadway, the nearby Batesford Arboretum and Bourton Manor Gardens. We also visited Bourton on the Water one day and had a train trip from nearby Moreton on Marsh to Worcester.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Devon House Cottage and would not hesitate to recommend it to our family and friends.

We were reasonably happy with the cottage but in this day and age would have expected it to have a dish washer. Also only one small bath towel per person was inadequate.

We really enjoyed our stay-despite the mixed weather! First time in The Cotswolds and impressed with condition and facilities at property. Would stay again and great base for exploring all the lovely places in this area.

Devon Cottage was a superb place to stay in every aspect. The location was perfect with added bonus of parking, often a problem in Stow. The owners set high standards throughout, accommodation was comfortable, warm,clean and stylish. Communication with the owners was instant and very helpful. Thank you.

Not been to the Cotswolds since I was a child so over 35 years ago. Had a lovely week and revisited many places I remember as well as some new ones.
Devon House Cottage was in lovely Stow on The Wold so an ideal location. Lovely cottage with all the home comforts.
The only thing that let it down in my opinion was some areas of cleanliness needed a bit of an eye to detail. It was only minor things but the minor things make all the difference. That said I will probably go back.

The cottage is in an excellent location for visiting lots of places and within walking distance of the local restaurants and pubs with the bonus of off road parking. It is well equipped and furnished to a high standard.

lovely cottage in a good location
It would be more flexible if one of the bedroom had a larger double bed and the other bedroom twin beds rather than two standard doubles and an open fire would be great otherwise a very well appointed property
