Roosters ridge provided a perfect base for our stay. The container was clean & dry, the storage units provided made our stay much easier than living out of our bags. Site facilities were clean, plenty of toilets & showers were available. The allocated fridge space in the kitchen area was a nice addition & facilities available made our stay much easier than just camping (being able to boil a kettle was great!). We actually over-packed as facilities were better than anticipated (washing up liquid provided, a wash up sink, tea towels, food storage tubs, bed sheets)
The only thing we struggled with was access to the unloading area when all units were loading prior to the 10am departure time but this was a minor issue, just something to be aware of if travelling with lots/or heavy bags.

Thank you for a lovely lovely place to stay during our time on the beautiful Isle of Wight. I loved it. However, the rest of my family got eaten alive by mosquitoes and would not want to stay here again. I would come and stay again, but they wouldn't. Also, the family in the next-door container also got eaten alive by mosquitoes and had to cut their holiday short by 2 nights due to the ridiculous number of mosquito bites. It seems that the water park is a massive breeding ground for mosquitoes. I have never heard of anyone complaining about mosquitoes before on the Isle of Wight, but then I've never known anyone trying to sleep next to a massive lake where mosquitoes are breeding.
As for whether I would recommend the property to others, I would, yes, but I would also have to tell them about the mosquito problem.
Personally, I think the Camp Tapnell is excellent.

Couldn’t fault the facilities which included power and water next to container, kettle, microwave and even 2 air fryers in the kitchen area, great shower block too.
Container had 8 beds (double + 3 x bunks) plenty of storage, and place for dog too. Only downside was the mattresses were plastic-coated and were so noisy it was like sleeping on a crisp packet.
