We took our company to Tom's Eco Lodge for a two night stay- the Domes themselves are absolutely beautiful and in a stunning location- there's nothing more you could want for- and I'd highly recommend staying here - it's stunning.
Great house for our group and such a bonus to be next to Tapnell farm with all the facilities and such a beautiful location- we will definitely Italy be back!
Chloe the manager was super helpful and set us up with a warm room to arrive to. It was a cosy room, with a generous-sized toilet. The hut was prepped with things for a barbeque and had a toaster and kettle. The evening was calm and beautiful and the morning was fresh. We woke up to see tractors going up and down the fields. The room was mostly clean, with tiny spiders here and there but that's (a posh) farm life for you! We went to Tapnell farm and had A BLAST. Absolutely fantastic stay. Enjoyed every minute. I can’t fault how professional the customer service was or how great the attention to detail was in the accommodation. I have a few little things which I would consider for the future if I was running the accommodation. The first would be that I think entry to Tapnell Farm should be included in the price for your stay (not the extras like water park etc) I would also think some kind of screening at the bbq seating area between pods would be much nicer for privacy. Well, what can I say, East Afton Farmhouse is absolutely stunning and our stay was nothing short of perfect. A group of 18 of us stayed at the farmhouse and annexe on a wintery weekend in March and had the absolute best time. The setting and scenery are simply beautiful. From the gorgeous bedrooms to the huge country kitchen to the cinema room - there is so much to love! Huge thank you to Chloe and the team for providing such a fabulous venue and I can't wait to make my next booking - thank you!

Lovely location with great views - quiet but not too far from the farm and facilities. Nice to have a decent kitchen.
My now husband and I had the best time at the venue when we had our wedding. Everyone was accommodating and so helpful. We were one of many who had postponed their weddings to the following year and they were so helpful in moving our dates. Everything was was spotless when we arrived and i honestly had the best time at East Afton Farmhouse. We had time to relax before the wedding and after as well. It is a gorgeous venue and I wouldn’t suggest any other place but this for anyone else to get married at! Thank you so much!
Fantastic stay at Tapnells. Great location with great accommodation. all facilities clean and in excellent working order and condition. everything has been thought of!! Kids love the farm park which offers so much more for them to do than expected. Hot tub warm fills so need to wait hours for it to warm up - wood fire to maintain heat. Fantastic panoramic views. Only regret is we didn't have more time there!! Chloe and the team did a fantastic job on make it simple to arrange and very welcoming.

We was very pleased to get a earlier check in and what a great place. The piglet huts are very comfy with everything we needed and more. The bathroom we had was massive and dedicated to just our pig hut across a little stone path. The shower was top notch. We used the bbq too. All facilities was great especially the outdoor pizza oven. Thankyou for a farmtastic experience .
Our recent stay at The Lookout was exceptional. Tapnell Farm always delivers on point in every respect and is a favourite with our family. We love to go to the cow and the kids have a great time at the farm park. The customer service and care and consideration taken to make everything comfortable and perfect for guests is something which brings us back time and time again … can’t wait to book again!
Me and my partner stayed here for a wedding down the road, and had a lovely time in the eco pod - even though it was winter it was not cold at all in the pod, and it was so sweet and snug. Tapnell Farm itself is in a stunning location, and we adored the Farm Shop and its great selection of goods. We also went to The Cow (onsite restaurant) which was also fantastic and delicious. We Hope to come back in the summer soon.
This is our second time staying at Tapnell Farm and this time we stayed in a cabin. We could not have asked for a better stay, the entire experience was perfect. The cabin was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our family stay. The booking and arrivals processes are so easy and it was great to be kept updated prior to our stay and have all of our questions answered with super quick responses. We had an amazing 3 night stay in the domes, the accommodation unit is stunning and a really magical place to stay. It was super clean, everything was clean and the dome had a lovely clean smell as soon as we entered. We had everything we needed and the design is really thought out, comfy bed, lovely log burning which warms the whole unit. The log burning hot tub is an amazing experience, we used it multiple times to star gaze and it was really easy to use. So I booked last minute in June and the dome and dome meadow did not disappoint. Chloe was so helpful with the booking and all my random questions. We came without a car for a greener holiday. Dome meadow was so beautiful, it felt peaceful and restful from the start with amazing rural scenery and wide blue skies. My family and I just loved the fire pit and those glorious red sunsets. We watched as the field of corn adjacent was cut and hay bales assembled overnight. Being there made us understand rural life (a bit better). The dome itself was luxurious. Very clean. We had our wedding at East Afton and stayed in the Snug for our wedding night. It was the perfect escape, toasty warm even in the winter. Great place for a getaway.
Accommodation was absolutely lovely really enjoyed your stay I’m not a camping fan but this was a really good experience we enjoyed sitting round the fire in the evening and appreciate the kettle make a cup of tea in the morning before you like the fire to cook , unfortunately we had a terrible experience at the bar restaurant staff Were so rude very aggressive zero customer service place in hospitality and it’s a shame because that left a bad taste .
This was the 3rd time i have stayed at Tapnal with my wife and child, each stay has been different place. 1st was the Dome, 2nd was Afton Guest House for my Wedding and now the 3rd in a Modulog. Each time it has been amazing and each time Chloe, Anneke and the others have been such stars. The venue is pure bliss, the peace and quite is just fantastic and the playground for my 17 month old was superb. I will be returning i promise.
We had a really lovely stay at Tapnell Farm. The tent was lovely - really cosy and good practicalities - and we loved the log burning hot tub, and free fresh eggs! Only point to note for the staff would be that the kitchen knives were so blunt that they weren't usable, and we couldn’t find a non-glass cutting board which isn’t ideal when you have to press so hard on the knives! Also given the high cost of the tent it would a nice touch to have free entry to Tapnell Farm included in the cost.
Really impressed with all the facilities on site. The tent was fine but the only cooking possible was using the large wood fired range. It would have been great to have an electric hob too. Disappointed that our tent didn’t have a hot tub but both neighbouring tents did.
I cannot think of anything more that Tapnell Farm could have done to make our stay more enjoyable! The modulog was kitted out with everything you could possibly need (including the travel cot and high chair I requested). The location and views from the accommodation were stunning. There was nothing nicer than relaxing in the hot tub after a long day exploring. The staff we really friendly and nothing was too much trouble - including providing fresh eggs for the morning! Had a fantastic stay here at a weekend in October. 5 of us in Modulog (18-23-25) plus two slightly older adults. Plenty of room. Easy to pick up logs for hot tub and wood burner (on way back from parking area). Modulogs sufficiently far apart that you were not on top of other people. The Cow restaurant - really handy - delicious food and not too busy. Modulug immaculate and contained everything we needed.
Glamping at it’s best! Roomy well equipped safari tent for four friends with 2 dogs. Pay the extra to have a hot tub. It’s the best way to enjoy the spectacular sunsets with a glass of something cold in hand, you’ll love it. We stayed warm and dry on days and nights of heavy rain (electric blankets and heaters) and cool inside the tent on the hot sunny days (good ventilation and a huge canopy shading the whole tent). We had a lovely few days staying in the pod. It was just the right size for the two of us and our dog and was in a great location.
Our stay at Tapnell Manor was everything we could hope for. We were a group of friends on a meditation retreat and the house had everything we needed - space, comfort, gorgeous location. The only minor negative was that some of the duvets were a bit thin. I’d like to see more generous bedding to match the generosity of the rest of the house. But that was a minor issue. The management staff were consistently quick to respond, friendly, and very helpful when one of our party was unwell. We’ll be back!
Such a lovely little holiday with our 3 boys (2,4,7) and our dog! The kids loved waking up and seeing the chickens and the fire pit was also a highlight. All the fun of camping with some welcome comforts.
We had a wonderful stay at Poachers Lodge, the house has a great layout with a large kitchen dining space and two lounges with TVs- also a lovely seating area outside. The garden worked well for football, and has a trampoline, and the location is perfect- near to beaches and lots of things to do with the kids. We had a couple of delicious meals at The Cow.
We stayed at Dairymans cottage with our friends, 2 other families. The accommodation was perfect for us, great space for the kids to be able to play and amazing kitchen with everything you need. My friends were arriving early so I asked if we could check in at 3pm and at 12pm I received a call saying it was all ready from 1pm for us. Amazing customer service and beautiful location. We can't wait to organise our next trip and stay again.
We stayed for Christmas and from the very beginning the staff were very helpful. The lodge was beautiful, clean and cosy. Loads to do at the farm with a well stocked shop, enough for us to buy everything for our Christmas dinner! The views across the land are stunning and not far from the nearest towns. We also did the Christmas experience and it was amazing. It felt expensive when we booked but definitely worth every penny. We can’t wait to go back for the summer.
