Positives of the containers:
-Good storage
-Good temperature
-Great lighting
-Shared fridge and cooking area
-Stunning scenery

Main negative:
-Unfortunately the mattresses were really quite uncomfortable. My husband moved all the upper mattresses to the lower bunks, but it was really difficult to get a good night's sleep and I developed neck and back ache as did my husband and daughter. My son's mattress had a split in the side. For this reason only I would be reluctant to stay again. We spoke to the staff who were lovely and faultless and who said they would move mattresses from the other containers, but we were worried these wouldn't be that much better for the hassle that it would create. I wonder if these could be reviewed each summer as we would have loved to have stayed again based on it's location and everything else being absolutely perfect.

We had an amazing stay at Camp Tapnell in the shipping containers. The showers were good, hot and clean. the toilets had hand dryers with hair dryers attached and toddler seats as part of seat which really helps with little kids. The kitchen area was well provided with toaster, air fryer and fridges and a microwave. They had provide soap in toilets and washing up liquid in kitchen. lots of drinking water taps near to containers too. we went into Tapnell farm and the kids loved it so much for the kids to do. We also experienced the Barn, Boots and Beats event in the evening which was great fun. We booked to eat in the cow restaurant which was amazing food and I ate far too much! Mattresses could be a bit more comfy the only downside.

Second time visiting Tapnell Farm and it’s an outstanding day out for our little children and then staying overnight ‘camping’ really made
it a lot of fun. We stayed in the shipping containers and found it to be a lot of fun, and outstanding value for money at just £65 a night. The Cow Restaurant is also excellent quality food too.

We had the best time at Tapnell. As a family of five we struggle to find accommodation that works for us, this was ideal! It felt like camping without the effort of a tent. Camp Tapnell had a lovely atmosphere, we made friends with our neighbours and the kids had a great time playing in a safe environment with their new friends. The kitchen, toilets and shower block were perfect. Having access to the farm and all the facilities all week was brilliant and we loved the special events (movie and rave in the barn). Such a well thought out place and somewhere we will definitely be returning to (and telling all our friends about!!) Thank you for making a camping trip with three young kids (5 years, 3 years old and a baby) stress free and enjoyable! We can't wait to come back!!
