Enjoy the most amazing sea views and stunning sunsets.

For those who have stayed before, our five Geodesic Domes are being upgraded to include adjoining en-suite facilities, and re-located to another beautiful position on our Farm with stunning sea views.

Each Dome will be accessed via an entrance porch extension which includes a log store, adjoining en-suite bathroom (shower and toilet) and separate kitchenette. The actual Dome interior will be open plan living / sleeping, with a dividing wall for the bunk room. The king size four poster bed will be the centre piece of the room, as well as a cosy lounge area with log burner. No need to worry about chilly nights as the Domes are insulated and each bed has an electric blanket to snuggle down under the covers.

Outside, the Domes will have their own BBQ and firepit where you can relax and enjoy the stunning sea views and sunsets. Domes 1 and 5 will also have a wood-burning tub, and there will be a communal pizza oven onsite too.

Available all year round for holidays and short breaks, the Domes will be a short five-minute stroll across the field, from all farm amenities, The Cow Restaurant, Farm Park, Aqua Park and bike hire shed.

Lovely location with a super views. Everything that we needed was available in our Dome to make the stay run smoothly. Friendly and helpful staff with good food and drink available from the barn if you did not want to cook.
Great communications received from the moment of booking, helping us with route maps to help find our destination to information of what was available to do and see.
Happily rebook again in the future.

The view of the dome is absolutely stunning, easy access to the farm too. However I do think the cleanliness could be better as some of the coffee mugs are quite dirty. The price is rather high per night as such we would expect a much more tidy room.

Everything perfect except for windy weather in an exposed location. Beautiful accommodation.

Beautiful dome, very tranquil but the wind flapping the dome and being unable to sit outside meant we could not make the most of it, despite trying once. We had hoped to eat outside in Aug,
but site is exposed to all the elements .

First time staying at Tom's Eco Lodges though I had been eyeing up the site for some time. Expensive to bring the car over on the ferry so it was great that they offer a discount after booking. The dome was fully equipped, they had literally thought of everything. Some nice extras which are not usually included such as unlimited logs, BBQ croquettes, firelighters. The hot tub overlooking the coast was a highlight. A very unique space to escape for a few days

This was our 2nd time visiting Tapnell Farm and staying in one of their Eco Domes. They are a perfect option for us as the location is idyllic with lovely open views, it's close to Tapnell Farm which has activities, a shop and a restaurant. We would definitely recommend this to friends and families!

Was pleasantly surprised with the accommodation even though I'd seen all the photos. It looks awesome in person. Kids were in love with it as well and enjoyed the hot tub. Loved all the bits and pieces that were included to light the fire, bag of bbq etc. Enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of the location but not too far from the farm so that we can enjoy the activities on the farm as well.

I have wanted to revisit the Isle of Wight since my fist camping trip ther in the early eighties. I remembered it as full of rolling hills, blue sea beaches and of course, Blackgang Chine. It has absolutely lived up to my expectations. We stayed in the domes at the back of Tapnell farm, very quiet and secluded but well stocked and easily acsessible from the road. It was a short five minute stroll to the main camping area, the farm, the aqua park and the shop.

The dome was well equiped, with even the provision of a wheelbarrow for transporting suitcases without having to drag them through the gravel. There was tea and coffee and a pint of milk waiting for us. The towel origami was amazing too! The hot tub was easy to use and everything we needed was provided. The beds were comfy, the shower luxurious and there was even a dishwasher.

My family and I (all of us adults) wanted to try everything on offer so before I had even left the mainland I had booked the aquapark, archery and axe throwing and an animal encounter with the meercats and wallabies. We started with the aquapark and I can't remember when I had so much fun, in fact, it was so good that we rebooked for the night before we left to have a second go! The discount you get when you stay at the farm makes it much more manageable. I also want to shout out to one of the staff at the aquapark who went above and beyond letting me use his phone as a mirror when I lost my nose piercing!
The next day we started with axe throwing and Shannon was amazing, providing support when needed and always offering a challenge once we had mastered one sort of throw. I never though I'd be able to throw an axe sideways, upside down or by holding the axe head, but I managed a hit on target for each of these. Then we moved on to archery and again Shannon was ready with support or a challenge until everyone in the group had if not mastered the skill, then at least hit the target!

Our animal experience, led by Jack, was also fabulous. We got up close and personal with the meercats and the very dribbly wallabies. Jack was a mine of information throughout.

Lastly, the Cow - massive burgers, crispy chips and fancy cocktails. Even more than one vegan option which makes a change from most burger places.

I am already saving for my return next year!

It's nice to spend May Bank holiday weekend in the dome. Room is clean and reasonable maintained. We did not
spent much time on the farm due to the rain but the service is good when we were there.

Heating is only in kitchen and bathroom so very cold in the room. Be ready or come in summer, even with the unlimited logs for you to heat the room.

The little details like essentials and treats left for us were really appreciated and the overall stay was incredible! We loved every second of our relaxing get away. Thank you so much Tapnell

The views from the dome meadow were amazing. We spent several evenings sat in the hot tub looking at boats moving across the Solent. Each morning we were blessed with a wonderful view having a nice cuppa in bed.

The staff, location and attention to detail at Tapnell were fantastic. The kitchen is stocked with tea, coffee and milk which was just what we needed after a long journey.

Our son loved the farm park and the food at the cow was delicious.

Can’t wait to go back again.

My family and I had a wonderful weekend staying in Dome 1. The quality of the dome was excellent. It had everything you need down to the ear plugs for windy nights. It was stylishly designed, we comfy beds, sofa and giant bean bag. The bathroom was clean and modern with a powerful shower - always an essential for us. My husband enjoyed keeping the 4 fires going, while the children played in the hot tub and melted marshmallows on the fire. The views across the fields down to the sea were spectacular. We also visited the farm several times over the weekend. The boys loved the go carts and football shoot out. We enjoyed the excellent coffee in the cafe! I would definitely recommend the farm to friends and family. Hopefully we’ll make it back next year.

My 2 friends and i stayed in one of the Geodomes for 4 nights. We felt very blessed an pampered to stay in such a brilliant accommodation.
The dome is very well equipped, cozy, it even has heated blankets, and very comfy beds. It is peaceful and beautiful, surrounded by fields, with views of the sea in the distance. The hot tub was a great place to watch the sunset. I could never grow tired of the views.
The dome is a great place to stay and rest, also to go off on adventures all over the Island for walks, beaches, National Trust sites, and lots of attractions.
The Cow restaurant on site has delicious, high quality food, we were very pleased with our, even if you are not in to burgers or meat - there were plenty of other options to tease your taste buds.
I highly recommend staying here. We can't wait to go back.

We had a wonderful 4 night break in the Dome Meadow at Tapnell Farm Park and I can’t recommend it enough! The dome was beautifully presented and warmed for our arrival with a Dyson heater and heated blankets. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were modern and spotless, and the dome itself was cosy and inviting. Our children visited the farm park everyday using our re-entry ticket and we also spent time on the local beaches walking our dog. The view from the dome was breathtaking and we watched the sun rise and set every day, often in the hot tub!!

Fabulous all-too-short stay at the dome. Fabulous 360 degree views across the Solent and countryside especially from the hot tub. The dog loved the accommodation too and enjoyed an evening with us at The Cow. Great space between domes and no issues with wood supply for the burner, bbq etc.

I honestly can't fault the amazing stay we had at Tapnell Farm. It is our third visit and the new Domes are a serious upgrade on the previous ones, now with the new bolt on kitchen and bathroom. It was a fantastic holiday with use of the hot tub, various visits to the farm with the kids and walks in the countryside. We can't wait to come back, thank you Tapnell Farm!

Waking up in the morning and being able to connect directly with the outside countryside and also being able to see the stars so clearly while enjoying the hot tub was an amazing experience. Would definitely recommend. The dome is beautifully decorated and provides and excellent social space to share with friends and family. My dog really enjoyed spending his 10th birthday there and wants to thank the staff for the birthday treats and ballon. A very nice touch!

We loved our time at Tapnell Farm. The dome was amazing, as was the hot tub, wood fire, and views of the farm. It's a truly unique stay that feels suitable for couples, friends and families. Super comfortable and clean too.

My only request is if you could offer later check out as an extra - I think people would be willing to pay a bit more for it. Also curtains in the kitchen / on the glass front door would be good, as you have to walk through this to get to the bathroom from the bedroom and it's not very private.

The accommodation and location are immediately impressive from the moment you arrive. With check-in and process excellently communicated, we arrived using the very detailed navigation notes provided by Tapnell Farm.

We stayed as a family of 3 which gave us plenty of space, and could’ve easily accommodated an extra 1 or 2 guests. It’s also a perfect setting for a quiet couples staycation though tbh !

Weather on arrival was fab and I hope all guests get at least one beautiful sunset, but on Saturday Autumn arrived in full force bringing rain, wind and hail .. and hibernating indoors with the wood burner, books and board games was equally as satisfying

A truly unique, homely, considered and welcoming break that I can’t recommend highly enough !

Overall, our stay at Tom's Meadow's Dome with the hot tub got very close to being perfect. Really great location, the domes are situated literally in the middle of the field, with nothing around for miles. The farm itself, while only a stroll away, nevertheless seemed so distant, that not a single sound during the day or a beam of light during the night was reaching the domes. The area is therefore really tranquil and any stay there (no matter how long or short) should provide a trully relaxing experience.

THE POSITIVES:

The domes are very well equipped, with a full-fledged modern kitchen, which has virtually everything that one could need during the stay, including basic cutlery, good selection of crockery, dishwasher, hob, microwave, kettle and other bits and bobs. The bottle of the farm milk and a jug of chilled water found in the fridge upon arrival were a really nice touch! The modern bathroom boasts a massive walk-in shower, along with a stone sink and a flushing toilet. The kitchen/bathroom part is an annex to the dome part and has GCH fitted, with the radiator in the kitchen and a towel rail in the bathroom, so plenty of space to dry the wet clothes if you are unlucky enough to get caught in the rain.

The dome itself is nicely furnished, in a modern and functional fashion, and features a large cosy sofa, a massive beanbag, couple of footstools and a 4-person dining table. In general, it gives off the cosy atmosphere from the very first moments you walk into it. There are four beds - one double and two bunkbeds. While I can't judge the bunkbeds as it was only two of us staying, the double bed was extremely comfortable, with a massive duvet and plenty of pillows. All the beds are equipped with heated blankets for those chilly nights, and the dome features a fireplace which heats the space up really quickly if needed.

The outdoor area has a picknick table, a BBQ, a firepit, three deckchairs and a woodburning hot tub (for domes 1 and 5). The tubs are conventiently located to the sides of the domes, away from prying eyes, and therefore provide a very intimate and relaxing experience if travelling as a couple, especially during the night. I must say that sitting in the hot tub at midningh on a cold September night while stargazing was probably one of the best (if not the best) parts of the stay, especially so as thanks to the lack of cities around the location the sky is not polluted with light and is really clear.

Although we had limited interactions with the staff, I must say that customer service at Tapnell farm is a prime example of professionalism, courtesy and going above and beyond. While the issue we faced is partly an area for improvement, it is hard to put it down as such, owing to professionalism with which it was resolved. Upon arrival we have not found any toiletries in the bathrom, apart from a single bar of soap. Having been assured by the booking email that "All your holiday essentials will be available for you, including linen & towels, first aid kit, logs, firelighters, charcoal, crockery & utensils, matches, basic toiletries, blankets and torches", we have not packed any, and were not really keen on driving out in the search of the supermarket. We therefore ventured down to the farm's office, where upon hearing of our predicament, a really helpful lady took it upon herself to take us down to the farm shop and provide us with toiletries from the store free of charge. On top of that, we have received tons of helpful advice on what to see and where to go, whcih was really appreciated. Unfortunately I do not remember the name of the lady who assisted us (we just popped into the farm office, and she was sitting at the desk right across from the entrance), but she was great.

Overall, the dome and the whole experience are really thought through, with almost every tiny detail taken care off. This includes things like grill tongs, spatula, and grill fork waiting for you when you open the grill lid, to firepit, hot tub, and fireplace made up just waiting for you to light them up.

COULD BE IMPROVED:

Cleanliness. While I understand that glamping is still, well, camping, at £320 with a last minute discount (£400 normal rate) for two nights, as a seasoned traveller one would argue that they do charge a hefty price tag which is on par with quite a few 4 to 5 star hotels and is definitely higher than many of the other glamping sites. Therefore, a fairly decent standard of cleanliness is to be expected. While the obvoius areas were clean to the eye (kitchen floor & surfaces, cutlery, dome's central floor area etc), the not so obvoius bits left much to be desired. The mosuito net above the bed (especially the canopy) had quite a few insects stuck in it, which have been there for a while by the looks of it. There was dust under the beds, especially along the further edges, and it is clearly evident that it has received nothing more than a quick wipe with a mop, probably even without bending down and properly going under the bed. Quite a few dusty spots along the edges of the dome did not complement the picture either. The rug appears to have rarely been lifted when cleaning, as there was plenty of sand/dust underneath, and the sofa had some crumbs and dirt stuck between the pillows. All in all, the cleanliness standards were somewhat dissapointing, especially so as they ask you to check out by 9.30am and would only budge by another half-an-hour max, to ensure enough time for "thorough" cleaning before the arrival of the next guests.

Another slight issue was that on the second night, the tranquility of the place was spoiled by farm machinery picking its crops in the nearest vicinity of the domes for about an hour/hour and a half. Going literally along the edge of the dome meadow, it had really bright lights shining in all directions, and was making so much noise, that for the first time throughout the stay, both me and my partner had to raise our voices from the relaxed half whispering this otherwise peacefull place predisposes you to. More so, as we were sitting in the hot tub at that time, it did spoil the moment, what with the farm machinery roaring 20 meters away and shining its projectors all over the place. While I understand that picking crops is a part of farm life, a better timing other than 9pm could have surely been chosen for such activity. Maybe someting to keep in mind for the future?

Overall, I would say that these were the only two things that would stop me from saying that our stay was absolutely perfect and on a grand scale of things neither of them did not spoil the experience much. It is still a really great place to stay if visiting Isle of Wight, and we will definitely be recommending it to anyone seeking a romantic getaway, and will be coming back ouselves.

We stayed a couple of nights at one of the dome pods with a hot tub and were not disappointed. The dome has been done beautifully with quality furnishings to provide comfort. The communication from the staff prior, during and after was excellent and I am sure if there was an issue then it would have been sorted. The little touches provided such as milk, washing up products and toiletries are really convienient. We were lucky enough to have some amazing weather which meant making use of the hot tub ideal. This was more than just a base for us to explore the island and really felt like a luxury stay.

Lovely stay. Great accommodation in the domes and great location. Really good that everything in the Tapnell farm ticket was included, no hidden costs.
Would benefit from a shoe rack in the dome porch. Also disappointed that, although advertised as running during the school holidays, the Thursday evening shindig wasn’t running when we were there, even though this was still school holidays- this should have been made clearer. And lastly, 5pm access to accommodation on arrival day is far too late. We almost lost a whole day waiting to get into our dome with tired kids.
Thanks all in all we had a lovely time.

We really enjoyed our family stay in Dome 1. The kitchen is really well equipped and easy to cook in. The ensuite bathroom was also great, but does have a bit of a lingering smell, I assume they must be on some sort of composting system. Loved the dome itself, beds are great, the kids loved the bean bag and the experience is pretty unique. We enjoyed the lack of TV, though the WiFi signal was really strong. Once it's dark though you really have to sit on the bed to read/relax as the lighting is very low over the sofa area. Also on the negative side the sofa had a lot of marks in it, underside of one of the cushions was black, and one of the dining chairs was partially broken. We didn't get maximum use out of the hot tub, but it was nice to have. Finally the sea view from the dome in high summer is obscured by maize growing in the field in front, the view from the car park is better! The domes are perfectly situated for sunset watching though.

Love the new location of the Domes, quiet and tranquil over looking the corn feeds. The addition of the built on kitchen and bathroom is a huge positive which makes for an easier family holiday. Very open so can get quite windy in the area but the lovely hot tubs make up for it and you can enjoy the wonderful views. Only thing to mention, there seemed to be a lot of spiders in the Dome on our visit in case you are squimish. Highly recommend, we are return visitors and would go again.

We were looking for somewhere to spend our mini moon with our dog and these domes ticked everything. It was far more then we expected with the incredible kitchen set up, large bathroom with a walk in shower and the detail of everything - there wasn't anything they forgot. Our holiday was spent in Dome 1 and we will definitely return to this wonderful farm and staff. Superb communications from the very moment we had booked, with reassurances regarding CV19 precautons and considerations.
Beautifully clean accommodation which was perfect in size and style for our family of four.
Very high hygene standards and guidance in the washrooms. Highly impressive and reassuring stuff in these crazy, scary times.
We ate and drank at The Cow which is a teriific joint staffed by well recruited lovely people serving excellent fayre.
Congratualtions to you all and thank you for making us feel so safe and ensuring our short break was so lovely ad memorable. Businesses like your deserve to thrive.

If your thinking of booking do not hesitate we booked this last minute and live on the island and oh my god we did not regret it it was stunning comfortable and spotless!! I’ve recommended it to all my friends it couldn’t have been better I have no fault at all!! Except spiders but my kids enjoyed catching them and putting them outside but that’s what you get camping. Can not wait to book again!

We spent a couple of weeks on the Isle of Wight, moving several times, from campsites to cottages to the Botanical Gardens at Ventnor, but the weather turned dark and stormy towards the end of out last week. We decided to treat ourselves to one of the geodesic domes at Tapnell Farm and it was a lovely way to end the holiday. We watched the sunset over the Needles from the comfort of the large armchair, and then the log burner kept us warm as it hammered with rain while we read and enjoyed an excellent burger from The Cow just a hundred yards or so away. The bed was comfortable and the dome had pretty much everything we needed. We were also impressed by the customer service as the team kept in touch with us ahead of our stay and sorted out a minor problem very quickly. Happy to recommend both dome and burgers!

We stayed in the Dome Meadow for 4 nights with our two young children. The whole experience was wonderful, from the dome itself, with its four poster bed and panoramic window, to the spectacular location - it's hard to beat waking up to views of rolling countryside and the distant sea, and the sun sets are magical. The shower/toilet blocks were clean and well thought through, with facilities allocated to each dome. The farm itself was great and the Cow does a great burger. We will be back.

We had a great stay here with friends. Lovely site with great views and so much space, brilliant facilities on the wider site. Really special dome accommodation which was welcoming and warm, fun, unique and very comfortable. Also very clean and well-equipped. Fantastic glamping experience which our kids are still talking about. We would love to come back!

An awesome experience.

Brilliant location, friendly staff, fantastic dome with great bed and features eg opening in the ceiling to star gaze. Oh, and all the fire wood you need for the log burner or outside fire.
Showers and toilet facilities were also excellent.

We were very lucky to win a stay in one of the new domes at Tom's eco Lodge Tapnell. The domes are amazing, very comfortable.. A four post bed, bunk beds, super comfy sofa and big bean bag. Wash rooms and kitchens have everything you need. Bbq and pizza oven outside. Staff very helpful and nothing too much trouble. The farm itself is brilliant especially for children. Definitely will be returning.

We had a lovely last minute break at Tapnell Farm staying in Dome 1. It was clean and tastefully furnished with brilliant facilities. The allocated shower and toilet in a great touch and they are very close to the Domes, so no need to traipse across a field.

We walked around the site and although the other accommodation looked great, we actually liked the location on the Domes. The views were beautiful out of the large window. The log burner was so lovely at night, and the pizza oven outside our Dome was fun to use.

The only thing to mention is that it was extremely noisy during high winds and rain but you expect that when camping or glamping so that isn’t a criticism, more of an observation.

The on-site restaurant, The Cow, was really good and it was handy having a 24 hour clubhouse too.

We also loved going to the hen house to collect fresh eggs for breakfast.

Finally Tapnell Fun Park was a hit with our kids (age 5 and 7), it was so nice and clean and well set out. They loved the giant pillow thing!

I’m summary, we loved our stay and will definitely be back.

The dome was amazing - it’s really cute inside. The views were amazing! Plenty of room for the 5 of us and there was pretty good storage space too. Excellent value for money. Tapnell farm is amazing for the kids - we got a week pass for the playbarn for the cost of a day pass and the kids used it endlessly, the summer shindig on a Thursday was brilliant :-) the only thing to be aware of with the dome is the possible noise if it’s windy/raining - bring earplugs! Other than that the whole family had a fabulous time, can’t recommend enough.

We have just had an absolutely fabulous stay. The Dome was immaculate, the bunk beds for the kids perfect and the four poster bed and linen as good as any 5* hotel we have stayed at.

Toilet and shower block clean and quiet.

Location wise it was brilliant to be just beside the best farm park ever, plus only a few miles to get to some of the most wonderful beaches we have seen.

Domes nearer to the main road than the tents and could hear this in the morning.

Only tiny fault was the noisy cockerel... but being in the heart of beautiful countryside made this bearable!!

We will be returning next year!

As a family of 4 we were extremely pleased with the accommodation as it was fun, warm and perfectly met our needs.
The facilities were brand new so all items were in working order, the cleanliness of the shower and toilet facilities could not be faulted. The facilities on site made for fun days and we could come back to lay games outside our dome whilst cooking a BBQ.
The addition of heated blankets in the coolness of the evening were a wonderful edition. Thoroughly recommended!

Never been a big fan of camping but decided to give Glamping a try and was pleasantly surprised. Beautiful surroundings, well equipped Bell tents with very comfortable beds with electric blankets.
The tents are a lot bigger inside than I thought from the photos which was great as my Partner and Step-Son are over 6ft tall. The site has so many great attractions to keep kids occupied and the steaks in the Cow co were among the best I have ever tasted. My 8 year old has already asked when we can go again.

Chloe and her team are just amazing - going that extra mile to help us change our return ferry on her day off. Will definitely be back, looking to try some of the other accommodation on offer and bring some friends with us. 10/10!

This is a wonderful location for exploring the Isle of Wight. We made good use of the discounted access to the play farm facilities. My children really enjoyed the animals, play barn, inflatable pillow etc, even though I thought they might be a bit old for it (age 12,10,10). The tent was lovely and well equipped with comfortable beds. Shower and toilet facilities were nice and clean. We could tell it was all quite new as in very good condition.

We had a little 2 night break in the bell tent & found more than expected, there were communal fridges to use & the shower/ toilet area was spacious & modern. A cold water tap right outside your tent saves trips back & forth to the washing up area (which is also fully equipped) wood & fire pit provided which is lovely for the evenings. Plenty of space around your tent too. Inside the tents is everything you need for a cosy stay. We would all loved to have stayed longer but working life calls!
