Enjoy the most amazing sea views and stunning sunsets.

For those who have stayed before, our five Geodesic Domes are being upgraded to include adjoining en-suite facilities, and re-located to another beautiful position on our Farm with stunning sea views.

Each Dome will be accessed via an entrance porch extension which includes a log store, adjoining en-suite bathroom (shower and toilet) and separate kitchenette. The actual Dome interior will be open plan living / sleeping, with a dividing wall for the bunk room. The king size four poster bed will be the centre piece of the room, as well as a cosy lounge area with log burner. No need to worry about chilly nights as the Domes are insulated and each bed has an electric blanket to snuggle down under the covers.

Outside, the Domes will have their own BBQ and firepit where you can relax and enjoy the stunning sea views and sunsets. Domes 1 and 5 will also have a wood-burning tub, and there will be a communal pizza oven onsite too.

Available all year round for holidays and short breaks, the Domes will be a short five-minute stroll across the field, from all farm amenities, The Cow Restaurant, Farm Park, Aqua Park and bike hire shed.

Attending a family funeral on the island we were struggling to find suitable dog friendly accommodation.
We were lucky to stumble upon Dome Meadow at Tapnell Farm.
As pensioners we wondered how we would get on with our Glamping experience.
This 5 star accommodation exceeded our expectations.
From the fabulous views, luxurious shower, fully equipped modern kitchen, and comfortable beds we were set.
The icing on the cake was the log burner, which we used as the weather was inclement.
I recommend the complimentary ear plugs for very high winds!
Chloe our host could not have been more helpful, or accommodating towards us.
Tapnell Farm is a must if you have children.

We had a fabulous stay in the dome. The setting was stunning- 360 views that we hadn’t appreciated from the photographs. There was a well equipped kitchen a lovely bathroom with a hot powerful shower. The beds we super comfy. It does get cold in the dome at night but we were so cosy with warm duvets, heated blanket and the fire if we wanted- it was actually quite a revelation how well I slept! The kids loved the adventure of it all. We would definitely stay again.

The Domes are set apart from the main farm but were easy enough to find with a bit of concentration. The road leading up to them could do with a a bit of levelling as it a bit bumpy in a regular car.

It’s a really good set up, warm and cosy with free supplies of wood and supplies for the stove which was great as the mornings and evenings were chilly. Be prepared for the wind… it’s very noisy although we stayed during a few days of strong weather. They thoughtfully provided disposable ear plugs.

Had a lovely break, the dark sky was amazing and wildlife spotting was fun. Look out for giant hares and birds flying over. It’s a shame you can’t see the sea in the distance as the overgrown verge and fields of sweetcorn below block the view but it didn’t spoil the stay. I’d say the only thing missing was a small table to go near the sofa. Somewhere to pop your drink while you’re reading. There’s quite a few spiders and earwigs so not for those who are insectphobic. The kitchen was well equipped and good hot shower. Lots of little extras too.

Enjoyed it and was a really unusual home for the week. Our pups loved it too and we’re very welcome. As there’s only 5 domes it was really quiet away from the aqua park and main farm.

Lovely week despite the wild weather.

Everyone at Tapnell Farm was incredibly helpful and accommodating. We had the most wonderful three days and can't thank everyone enough for making us feel so welcome, thank you.

From booking to check out everything was a smooth and stress free process.

The dome was so relaxing and we only wish we had more time to make a longer stay of it!

Everything is provided and was super clean, quiet and beautiful views to wake up to!

We had a very enjoyable stay and appreciated the care and attention to detail of the fixtures and fittings.

We were relieved to be staying on the days following the heatwave as we realised it would have been unbearable in the heat and were grateful for the fans provided.

We had a lovely stay at tapnell within their geodesic Domes…wow! They were beautifully presented, everything about the accommodation and the site it’s self 5 Star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Communication during the booking was faultless, ensuring we had everything for our stay including extras - flowers, Prosecco, meal booked etc

Perfect setting, food in the Cow Restaurant was fantastic also

Highly highly recommend an absolute asset to The Island

We have just stayed three nights in an eco Dome and we all had the best time. For kids it has the novelty factor and proximity to nature that they love about camping. For adults, who like creature comforts, it ticks every box. Warm, cosy, spacious. It’s a great break from the norm. We ordered the breakfast box and bbq box from the farm for easy meals, which was great value and delicious too. Highly recommend!

We've stayed in the Dome for two nights and the experience is incredible!
The dome is located on a high ground with a screen of beautiful corn field, so it's very discreet and quiet, but you are still able to get a view all the way down to the sea and the location is very accessible too.
The dome is very well equipped inside and out, possibly everything you would need for the stay, even with coals prepared for the BBQ and logs for the fireplace and pit. There's heating in the kitchen/bathroom area and heat blankets on all beds. The decor is also very modern and pleasing.
The night can get a bit too quiet for two people without any neighbours, but the stars are truly amazing.
Will definitely come back with friends and family :)

Unique getaway, in a peaceful and picturesque location. From the start of our experience we had great customer service with regular updates via text and email plus also a phone call. When we arrived the dome was more than we expected. Tapnell Farm had thought of all the little things from kitchen accessories, heated blanket and to plug locations. If we could give one bit of feedback we would of liked an ironing board and iron. We had a lovely time and it was such a nice place you actually wanted to spend time in the dome, opposed to a normal hotel room. We would highly recommend this to family and friends, although those not keen on bugs might struggle, although this is part of the experience (They even provide a mosquito net, so need to worry while you sleep). We loved our dome!!

We are very happy with our stay in our dome! It’s a perfect place to stay and enjoyed some peace with two children Our Accomodation is very nice, lovely views, great location and it has amenities perfect for families! We are also lucky getting the last minute booking and will definitely come back!

We stayed in the Dome Meadow at Tapnell Farm with 2 children aged 4 and 7 and we had the most wonderful family holiday! It was perfect for the kids, it felt safe and gave them a lot of freedom and a lot of things to do, see and experience! The Dome itself was heaven and really tastefully done. We’ll definitely stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the eco dome. Everything was great.
The way the covid loos/ bathroom was dealt with was excellent. Everyone pretty much gets their own basin, loo and shower.
If you have kids being able to get into the park 30 minutes before everyone else is a massive bonus.
The only very minor criticism would be the rather noisy gravel road that runs 30 metres behind the domes. However, the traffic dies out at a reasonable hour so I wouldn't let that put you off unless you're looking for 24 hours of absolute silence.

We stayed at tapnell 3 years ago in safari tents - we think not long after it opened.
We were blown away with the site - the quality of the facilities but above all the attention to details that were classy and went that extra mile.
We’ve just returned from a stay in the new stunningly designed Domes - three years on since that visit for 4 nights - and were amazed at the further investment and upgrades throughout.
The domes layout is brilliant with the most comfy double bed and electric blanket imaginable - the fire pit with endless supplies of all needed a rare treat as opposed to other sites - the pizza oven and stll wonderfully clean and well laid out shower and loo facilities made everything so easy.
And the entertainment options are the best on the island or anywhere else we have seen in hotels or camps - new clean different - again thought out and with detail.
The aqua park is mad - great team running it and fabulous wet suits but hard work for parents...
Football shoot out kept the boys happy for hours and no queues at zip wires or trampolines.
The Cow is still an excellent option on site to barbecues.
Two last mentions - maybe the most outstanding.
A 360degree vista day and night to take you away from everything- white cliffs and sea in sight....breathtaking.
And from booking to departing a team of proper people taking pride in their site and ensuring their guests are looked after in every way.
I never have the time or inclination to write reviews - ever... but would recommend Tapnell to any family with a wide range of ages

We booked last min and took the last two domes, wow wow wow they were so lovely clean comfortable had everything you could need. I was a little dubious of the shower block but again. Each came with it’s own shower and toilet that was spotless definatly will be retuning. Also the park was amazing for the kids

Amazing place and you have really created a wonderful site - loved the venue and the Island.
Already planning a return visit.

One point re location of domes - shame about the road. In view and noisy bikes / cars etc. -

We stayed there one night and Dome are really well equipped and clean. It was a very windy night and becuase we had a hole in the roof we had extra noise and had a "rough" night. Tapnell farm didn't notice this until we contacted them and even with this the dome was warm an cozzy. We would have expected from the team a message the following day but nothing happened.
I would defintely recommend the Domes staff were amazing during and before the stay!
