I cannot recommend East Afton Farmhouse enough! The venue was beautiful, Chloe and Mel were brilliant all the way through. No question or query was too big or silly, they handled everything wonderfully and I felt I could fully trust them with our special day. This meant we could just relax and enjoy the day. The farmhouse accommodation was outstanding and provided us with everything we needed. As family from both sides were travelling to the Island it was great to have everyone in the same place. It was great to have the freedom we did to decorate the venue and make it our own, however it really didn't need much as the venue is stunning! Thank you to everyone, the day was exactly how we wanted it to be, and it wouldn't have been possible without the amazing team at East Afton Farmhouse!

We don’t have enough words to explain just how amazing East Afton Farmhouse is.
When booking our wedding here we had no doubts about how amazing this venue would be, as we had seen soo many other wedding pics here. But what we didn’t realise was the 2 amazing ladies that came as part of the package!!
Chloe and Mel are truly a gift and our day wouldn’t have been what it was without all of their planning, hard work and dedication.
Our wedding day could not have been any better and we truly have them to thank.
The venue was perfect, the farmhouse we stayed in for 2 nights was a dream and our guests enjoyed every minute of being able to be there with us, our wedding meal was absolutely delicious thanks to Kevin and his team, we could go on and on…
We could not change 1 single thing about our day/few days spent there to make it any better and we feel truly blessed to say that.
We would recommend East Afton to anyone and everyone we possibly can and we’re still looking over our wedding pics with tears in our eyes remembering how incredible our wedding day was.

We celebrated our wedding on 31.08.24 and it was more than we could have wished for. The venue is incredible and the number of comments we got from our guest about how amazing it was was overwhelming. But this whole heartedly comes from the passion and effort the team at East Afton put into every detail to help pull off the weekend - Chloe and Mel are the duo you didn’t know you needed when it comes to weddings! They treat your wedding like their own and from day one we felt in safe hands with every detail met in good time and friendly communication throughout the build up.
The selling point of getting the whole venue for the full weekend as a weekend wedding meant we got to spend as much time as possible with our friends and family for the same cost you can spend for just 24 hours on the mainland. (We travelled from the mainland to have our wedding here!)
I can’t recommend this place enough and can safely say the day wouldn’t have been what it was had we not got married here. X

From planning everything with Chloe in the run up, to Mel keeping everyone calm and organised on the day, both the East Afton venue and staff exceeded our expectations in every way.
With some unexpected rain showers on our day you’d never know the plans had to change on the spot - everything went seamlessly.
It was so great having the venue to spend with all our guests all weekend too, so well kitted out and we didn’t want to leave!

We had a brilliant stay and experience at East Afton Farm for our wedding.
Having the venue a few days before the wedding allowed us to be prepped and calm ahead of the big day.
There was lots of space in the house and the grounds. We had lots of good comments about how beautiful the venue was.
The team at East Afton were outstanding—they went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. Special thanks to Chloe who helped plan and organise details of the day and to Mel for making the day run smoothly, nothing was too much trouble and she was great fun to have around. They were always on hand to answer any questions or provide assistance.
The venue had everything we could have asked for, we did the full weekend package, we’re so pleased we did as lots was included meaning organising ran smoothly.

A HUGE thank you to Chloe and the team at East Afton Farmhouse for ensuring everything ran smoothly on our wedding day!
We chose the Thursday-Monday all inclusive option at East Afton because the venue is exclusively yours which allowed us time to create exactly our vision on the days leading up to our wedding on the Saturday.
The farmhouse was the perfect space for all our family and we made excellent use of the BBQ and pizza oven! It’s also great how close Tapnell Farm is - we had a wonderful family meal at The Cow (who were very accommodating for such a large group) and enjoyed visiting the water park and farm park over the course of our stay.
Chloe is amazing - no task was too big or too small and her and her team ensured everything went as planned.
We would highly recommend choosing East Afton as your wedding venue.

East Afton farmhouse was the first, and as it happens, the only venue that we booked to visit during a last minute trip over from the mainland. As soon as we drove in we knew this was the place for us.
Leading up to our big day Chloe was fantastic. Travelling from the mainland, we thought things might be slightly difficult, but Chloe put us at ease right from start to finish. Whenever we called or emailed she responded so quickly and dealt with everything we needed her to and more.
Our wedding day was absolutely perfect in every way.
The day before we had a run through of the day and what was going to happen with both Chloe and Mel, which really helped settle any nerves we had, as we knew they had everything in order. Nothing was ever too much for them.
We have to say a huge thank you to Mel. We certainly didn’t realise how hands on and involved she would be. She is absolutely incredible at what she does.
We cannot praise her enough for how she kept everything and everyone in order on the day. Everything ran like clock work, even when the weather looked like it was having a little moment. She switched things around so effortlessly. When talking to guests after the wedding, everyone has praised her and mentioned how fantastic she was.
We had a mid week wedding and stayed in the main house - it was amazing. We invited our friends and family over the day after our wedding for a pizza party just so that we could enjoy the venue and the beautiful gardens some more. We made so many fantastic memories during our stay that will last a lifetime.
If we could change anything it would be just that we had more time to stay and enjoy it further.
Many of our friends and family stayed at Tapnell farm too, in the various different accommodations they have to offer. They were all very impressed with the facilities and activities on site as they had something for everyone. The farm and the aqua park were a huge hit with both the young and the older guests.
Overall our whole time at East Afton was fantastic and we got to have our dream wedding in a perfect setting.

We recently had our reception at East Afton and what an amazing experience it was! The venue advertises an all inclusive package but it was so much more than that. Chloe was fantastic, any questions we had in the planning process were answered so quickly and she was always happy to help. Mel was our wedding co-ordinator on the day and she went above and beyond! Every tiny detail was thought about and meant we could really enjoy the day without worrying about anything. The whole team were excellent! Kev and his team with Seasoned Kitchen were fantastic, delivered the most incredible food and breakfast the morning after was the perfect hangover cure!

The team at East Afton Farmhouse were helpful and friendly from the very start. We don't live on the island so we knew that organising a wedding would come with its challenges, but Chloe made everything as easy as possible - nothing was ever too much trouble. From recommendations of suppliers to transporting a fibreglass cow and generally helping with our many many questions. Their process of organising a wedding was supportive, efficient and facilitated creating a flawless day that us and all of our guests thoroughly enjoyed. Their way of being organised meant that we didn't have to worry about anything on the day. Mel was our coordinator for the day and she listened to our vision and expectations and delivered everything and more and moreover with much laughter and smiles.
Other factors that made EAF a winning venue for us were:
- 4 day venue hire - because we were there, we ran a relaxed Sunday event, something which we couldn't have done at another venue
- accommodation on site
- an amazing chef, Kevin, affiliated with the venue
- no corkage fees
- strong and longstanding relationships with most island suppliers meaning that the venue coordinated with them around the wedding instead of us having to organise.
- ferry discount for people staying at EAF and Tapnell Farm
- multiple different spaces on the site, allowing you to make the day what you want.
- beautiful surroundings and close to practically everything (beach, churches, shops, food, ferry port etc.)
Our wedding weekend was so special and we feel so lucky to have found East Afton Farmhouse. We wouldn't change a thing and can't recommend it highly enough. Thanks again to Chloe, Mel and the team!

It is hard to know where to begin with trying to put the magic of our wedding weekend into works - but we will try! The joy of working alongside East Afton to create our dream wedding starting far before our wedding day. Chloe was such a huge, helpful and supportive part of planning our weekend, she was with us every step of the way and we could not have done it without her. Every detail is considered and communicated with kindness and honesty - it was refreshing in an industry where it can be the opposite.
From suggesting trusted suppliers, to guiding us on the perfect timeline for the day, to keeping a huge secret from Matt (the groom) for months (I had organised singing waiters!) We were so incredibly impressed with all the staff at East Afton. Thank you Chloe, for everything - no request was too much and we have such enormous gratitude for your support in this chapter of our life. Thank you Mel for helping our day run so smoothly, whilst we were busy soaking up the magic (and a lot of champagne).
The moment we arrived it felt like coming home, the house is so warm and welcoming, very clean and our family instantly felt comfy like it had been our family home for years! There were so many special moments experienced in that house with family that we will cherish forever, the Thursday - Monday stay created such a beautiful whirlwind of memories, gatherings, dinners and of course a film night in the cinema!
If you are considering hosting your wedding at East Afton, please do it - we wish we could do it all over again! And in fact, we are already discussing returning to the house for family Christmas (any excuse to go back!)

What a venue!! From the moment we visited East Afton on an open day, we fell in love with it and knew we wanted to get married there. Chloe and her team were so efficient from the off and throughout the whole process of organising our big day. Every last detail was accounted for and guidance provided where necessary. We had the most amazing time there, having the venue to ourselves for so long was just brilliant as we could make a whole weekend of it. Everyone was so attentive to our needs, I genuinely loved every minute and can't thank the team enough for making our wedding day so special. Mel & Chloe on the day was absolutely fantastic, along with the rest of their team. Nothing was too much trouble. And Kev and his catering team were just unbelievable too. Thank you all so, so much for everything!!
The Hosts
Mel and Chloe were superhosts! Nothing was too much trouble, even when we had last minute changes. They accommodated all of our needs, including access a day early for our plant delivery, and the exciting agreement to arrive at the cermony barn on their Go-Karts from Tapnell Farm (at no extra cost!)! Furthermore, they were very concientious of our guests with mobility difficulties, and aided in keeping them comfortable. They were extremely friendly, easy to work with leading up to the day, and Mel was so relaxed and unphased that the day ran perfectly.
The Venue
Stunning. It must be the most idyllic, rural wedding location on the Isle of Wight - nothing can compare! The grounds are kept neat (but not pretentiously), allowing wildflowers to grow and natural beauty to thrive. The area is extremely clean, with magical lighting and picturesque buildings. You are guaranteed to have perfect photos in a setting like this. The big barn is huge - even the ginormous ladder they let us borrow was not really big enough to reach the corners for our bunting; however, despite our small numbers (60), noone felt lost in the space.
The Accommodation
Again, the Annex, Poacher's Lodge, Piglets and The Snug were all gorgeous properties, well maintained and pristine. Our guests in the Piglets and The Snug, however, did have to treck through extremely boggy ground to get to their beds - there was so much surface water that the little gravel path had become a stream. They also found that some of the sockets did not work. However, we were thrilled to be in the Annex, just 5 steps from the main barn. It was spacious and well stocked with biscuits and locally produced milk. We did find the front door to the Annex a little stressful, as once it is unlocked on the outside, it cannot be locked inside, meaning that my Mum, whose bedroom it opened into, had to sleep and change knowing that someone could just walk in.
The Food
Yummy! As a family of fussy eaters, we chose mac 'n' cheese and vegetable lasagne, with Italian sides, as a buffet style. The food was delicious and loved by all. There was so much left over, we wished we had brought dishes to take it away in. At £30 per head, the price felt quite steep for what it was, and we chose to supply our own tomatoes for bruschetta as they wanted an additional £2.50 per person (just for tomatoes) otherwise! A food truck may be much cheaper, but it was not a good option for us in cold February with expected lousy weather.
Final Notes
We loved the sustainability of East Afton, who use solar power to run their electricity, and use companies like Who Gives A C**p to reduce plastic waste. Our guests still talk about the wedding, and many say it was the best they've ever been to. We were so happy with our time there, and with the team, we wish we could go back in time to experience it again! A massive thank you to Chloe, Mel, and the rest of the team for giving us our dream wedding.

We want to thank Mel, Chloe and all the team at East Afton for making our wedding the most special and memorable day ever. We genuinely would not have changed a thing, it was so perfect and ran so much better than we could have ever imagined. The day was so smooth, Mel is amazing at coordinating and we did not have to even think or lift a finger to make our day happen. She was so calm and made us feel relaxed too on our day.
The venue is incredible, having access to the whole site for the whole weekend was perfect and made everything not feel rushed. Having time to set up how we wanted, to tidy away and have the freedom and open space was perfect. The farmhouse itself is beautiful, it felt so cosy and we felt so at home during our stay. So much space for all the family and so clean and tidy too.

Myself and my now husband spent many months looking for the perfect venue for the big day. We live in spain so we were worried about how to undertake the task of organising a wedding and many people travelling from spain and other locations whilst living away as well as trying to be as economic as we could not to "waste" money. We found afton; it had everthing perfect for us. Indoor areas in case of rain we were very worried for the rain given the time of year. Different locations to hold different parts of the wedding to break up the day so you are not stuck in the one area. A old barn for a beautiful ceremony, a garden space out of the front of the house where picture can be taken in the garden which are very well maintained. Then there is another barn which we used ofr welcome drinks and nibbles as well as the childrens play area whre we hired a bouncy castle. Yes! its large enough for a bouncy castle INSIDE!! Then there is a very large barn perfect for both the wedding breakfast and the party afterwards. On top we needed to house our guests between the house located with the converted barns and the other accomodate on offer at tapnell there was more than enough space to cater for all our guest, the few that did not book quick enough were also easily accomadated in freshwater and yarmouth we a 2 min taxi ride it was no issue of anyone. the house is warm and cosy with plenty of space for all. the house is also perfectly located close to yarmonth ferry making it easy for usto organise guest transport and give directions. But without a shadow of doubt the wedding still would not be as perfect as it was without the exceptional service provided by the Afton team. I must mention specifically Chloe and Mel. Without this partnership it would have been far more stressful and not turn out so perfect. Chloe was on hand always to change and alter thing along the way. Give advice and contact different suppliers to ensure they were read to go on time. they even made us a walk through of the day with timing so we knew whn things would happen. The requests and queries were answered extremel quickly and dealt with just as fast. Mel was the day coordinator, she made sure that ll details were covered, animated the people and was generally perfect ot make sure the day went smoothly. The policy of being able to provide our own drinks but still have Afton reserves available in case we ran out worked perfectly to ensure we always had a supply of drinks with our favority preferred drinks. Even allowing us to bring touches from spain such as ham and picos, and learning to make specific cocktail type drinks!! on top, we ran out of platters and other small items and the were inventive to ensure we had something to use. i cannot thank afton farm house and the team for ensuring our day went soo well as well as the stay befor and after, even flexible with timings of check in and out.

Large spacious rooms with great facilities, plenty of en suite rooms of different sizes. There was an amazing master suite on the middle floor and some rooms with three beds for families we had stay with kids. We had 15 people stay in the main house and annex and all had beautiful accommodation. The cinema room was a great bonus, we watched many films and football games and was good entertainment for the kids. The kitchen was large and spacious and everything was so clean. The house is stunning and getting married at the venue made the getting ready pictures lovely. I would recommend staying as it made it so special not to travel far to the venue and ceremony. We could make the most of our time and an extra special weekend. Chloe ensured that we had everything we needed and was on hand all the time. The house kitchen has a nespresso machine, dishwasher and Aga which came in handy for many guests. The dining room was beautiful and living room looked beautiful decorated by Christmas tree. We loved our stay and the beds were so comfy! Thank you so much!!

From start to finish, Chloe and Mel from East Afton Farmhouse, were truly fantastic. They made the stressful wedding process seem less and stress free.
The venue is beautiful and was perfect for the look Laura and I wanted. The accommodation on site is perfect in every way. All of our guests were spellbound by the beauty and intimacy of the setting.
The food from Seasoned Kitchen IOW was beautiful. Kevin catered for our every need and nothing was too much trouble. The pumpkin soup was incredible followed by the most amazing Lamb.
I can’t recommend the venue highly enough, but more importantly the people, who make everything happen.

My partner and I recently got married at East Afton Farmhouse and it was absolutely amazing, the venue itself is obviously gorgeous. But the staff just made the experience better.
My partner and I originally booked before Covid for four years later and so had a long while to wait but went to open days every year or so to keep up with any changes. All thought out that time we have semi regular emails from Chloe and the on the head up they increased, no question was too many or stupid, Chloe gave us all the help we needed and didn’t know we needed.
On the day Mel was there to keep things running smoothly so any problems that did crop up I didn’t even realise happened until after they were already sorted.
Honestly if you are thinking and not sure on your venue you will not be disappointed.
We booked for the four days over the weekend with whole venue and house and don’t regret a thing, had able time to set up and make it exactly how we wanted and then on the Sunday and Monday packed up and enjoyed the cinema room.
Again can’t praise the venue or the staff enough everything was completely amazing and we had a wonderful experience.
Thank you to all that helped and worked with us for our wedding, we will never forget.

We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding than what we had at East Afton Farmhouse.
The whole wedding was absolutely amazing and that is all down to Chloe, Mel and all of their staff that couldn’t off done anymore for us if they tried.
The venue was faultless! Beautiful bedrooms, surroundings, entertaining space and the cinema was a massive hit for the large amount of children that we invited!
Chloe was so organised and helped us so much with the planning especially leading up to our big day. We couldn’t have planned the finer details without her.
Mel was just absolutely lovely and went over and above for us and all of our guests. She was so friendly and worked very hard to make everything so special. Everyone commented on how lovely and helpful she was.
Alongside Chloe, Mel we cannot thank enough our photographer, Jess Lyon @jessyonphotography who absolutely amazing on the day and clearly knew the venue very well as she got the best shots and was made everyone feel so comfortable.
I cannot recommend this venue enough. It made our wedding so special and definitely gave it the wow factor.

The best wedding venue we could have wished for. From start to finish Chloe and Mel did everything imaginable to make our wedding perfect. Their customer service goes above and beyond. Not to mention the most beautiful location. Everything was spotlessly clean for our arrival. We were waited on hand and foot by Mel and many of our guests made an effort to tell us how amazing she had been.

We held our wedding reception at East Afton and stayed for the long weekend with our bridal party. We could not recommend the location and the staff more!
Chloe was amazing from initial viewing and booking to meeting us the day of check for the post-wedding debrief. During the 2 years from booking to our wedding Chloe stayed in contact and kept us updated with any developments or new services. Our family who stayed in accomodation with Tapnell could not speak highly of her services.
The farmhouse was well equiped with everything you need to provide for 17 people, we were left complementary nespresso pods for arrival and all of the rooms were beautifully presented on arrival. Any additional housekeeping was offered for the duration of the stay as we help a reception gathering the night before the wedding and they were very welcoming of our 1 year old Golden Retriever.
For the actual wedding Chloe ensured everything was pulled together so we had nothing to worry about, we then met Mel the day before who was proving on the day co-ordination and we could not have been luckier to have her with us on the day. Mel anticipated any needs before they even happened, she was able to juggle 70+ guests alongside elderly guests needing seating during photo's, an electric wheelchair and our dog who came out to mingle during our drinks reception.
The food provided by Kevin Hendy was super and both his staff and East Afton were professional and very accomodating.
We cannot thank them enough for such a wonderful weekend!

We had the most amazing wedding day! We couldn't of wished for a better day and that is all down to the venue and the incredible people who run it.
Chloe was always available to talk to, we booked 2 years before and she was so so helpful through out. The month before we spent time running through all the details of our wedding. We can honestly say she made sure everything was perfect. Thank you Chloe for everything.
On the day we had Mel making sure the day was set up how we had discussed with Chloe. Mel is such a lovely person, she really cares. She works harder than anyone I have ever met. Every single person at the wedding said how wonderful she was. Thank you so much Mel!
Kiri was always around to ensure me and my husband has a drink in our hand and looked after our guests so well.
The rest of the team working did an amazing job. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone.
Farmhouse was a great addition as it mean we could stay on site and spend some well deserved family time. It has everything you could want.
We would recommended the venue to everyone! It really couldn't get better. You will most definitely not be disappointed and you will have the most magical wedding day for sure.

The house is just beautiful, with so many people staying at the house with us we never felt as if there were too many.

The perfect place to host a wedding party. The barns provide a brilliant blank canvas to host a special event, and the farmhouse is an excellent home from home for the core wedding party to stay, with the benefit of all the incredible options of nearby Tapnell Farm to accommodate the wider party. No better venue available to host your nearest and dearest.

My now husband and I had the best time at the venue when we had our wedding. Everyone was accommodating and so helpful. We were one of many who had postponed their weddings to the following year and they were so helpful in moving our dates. Everything was was spotless when we arrived and i honestly had the best time at East Afton Farmhouse. We had time to relax before the wedding and after as well. It is a gorgeous venue and I wouldn’t suggest any other place but this for anyone else to get married at! Thank you so much!

We are 100% over the moon with the whole experience, we stayed for the 4 nights in the Farmhouse and had our wedding reception in the 2 barns and its was all out of this world! It is super stunning but the best part is how unbelievably helpful the Managers Chloe and Mel are and how great ALL the staff were. I felt very reassured of a smooth run on the day and no ask was too much trouble. Highly recommend.

East Afton Farmhouse really did give us the best day of our lives. Both me and my partner we're completely overwhelmed with how beautiful the venue was, as we're our guests! The staff here we're more than helpful and really support you as a couple to help bring your visions to life and facilitate as best as they can your wishes/ideas. East Afton was the only venue we could find that ticked all our boxes and we were not disappointed. After a 2 year delay, being able to spend the weekend with our friends and family celebrating our wedding was so special.
Chloe, Mel and the team were amazing, making sure everything was covered and the new barn was the perfect space for our big party.
We definitely plan on coming back for another stay and would recommend anyone planning a wedding to use East Afton.

The process from the very first day we had a look around the venue until the last day of our wedding weekend stay was amazing. Communication with Chloe was excellent and no question was too big, small or silly.
The farmhouse is beautiful and such a comfortable stay. Ourselves and our guests enjoyed every minute of being there.
The wedding day went smoothly and without any problems thanks to Chloe’s communication and support with organising important aspects and then also with Mel, Amy and the rest of the staff for their help on the day. Mel was amazing and let us change parts of the day with a few moments notice. She made things easy and left us without a worry on the day meaning we could enjoy every moment. It was everything (and more) that we wanted and it was amazing seeing our years of planning come to life.
Thank you so much East Afton and all the amazing staff that had any role in our day and our stay being as wonderful as it was.

East Afton is a venue of dreams and we couldn’t wish for a better setting to celebrate our wedding with friends and family. Every guest would say the same! The farmhouse accommodation on offer, including piglets, modulogues and Tapnell Manor, were incredible and made the weekend even better! Cosy fires, large rooms, modern en-suites and country-style decor was a stunning backdrop for getting-ready photos.
You absolutely cannot fault the staff - every one of them is fantastic! No wedding request was impossible or a challenge for Mel and Chloe - and they went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. Kevin’s catering team was phenomenal too. Not to mention the delicious canapés and food throughout the day!
We can’t recommend this wedding venue enough - it has everything you need and more! Every couples’ wish and personalised touch is possible at East Afton! x

Well what can we say! Chloe, Mel and the team are absolutely phenomenal people and our big day went perfectly all thanks to them. We couldn’t more grateful for everything they did and contributed, it really was the best day ever!
Chloe and Mel ensured our day went without a hitch, checked in throughout our stay and the day itself to ensure it was exactly as we wanted, answered every single question over the year preparation and kept me sane when I thought everything was going wrong!
They make you feel like your wedding is the only one in the world that matters and personalise everything to your preferences.
To say the East Afton team are superstars at their jobs would be an understatement, as it was all made possible from their expertise, professionalism and patience.
East Afton is the most idyllic venue and setting and we are so incredibly lucky to have had our wedding here.

We got married at East Afton and had the most incredible few days. Chloe was great with all the communication on the run up and Mel was on hand during the day. Mel was absolutely incredible and we can not thank her enough. The day ran perfectly and it was all down to her!!

The house at East Afton was amazing - it was spacious enough to accommodate my entire bridal party and my immediate family. The facilities are great, the cinema room was a particular highlight, and almost every room has an ensuite which was incredibly useful. We particularly loved the little touch of the elephant towels on the beds! Everyone had an amazing stay over the weekend and the staff could not have been more accommodating. We were so sad to have to leave!

From the moment we arrived at East Afton Farmhouse, we couldn’t believe how every little detail had been thought of. The staff were extremely kind and attentive and helped us with anything we needed. The location and grounds were stunning. Our whole weekend felt like a dream and gave us the wedding we had dreamt of with our family and friends and more. It was also great having the Aqua Park and Tapnell Farm to provide additional activities across our weekend. East Afton is the perfect venue for a wedding and we can’t wait to see our photographs and videos to relive the whole weekend again. It was a fantastic venue and the fact that we could have the ceremony and the reception in the same place worked perfectly. There was so much flexibility in what we could choose and how things were set up but Chloe was always on hand to make suggestions or help out. Her planning was second to none and they had thought if everything.
Aside from that the Farmhouse is in a really beautiful location which made for some lovely photos.

The staff at East Afton, and the venue itself, are brilliant. Chloe, Mel and the bar staff we hired worked tirelessly to create our perfect wedding day, and made sure that we were having the best time. Everything is well organised and Chloe guides you through the whole wedding planning process. The venue itself is exactly what we were looking for, with loads of space and the ability to make it your own.
The variety of spaces, connected together by a beautiful courtyard, work perfectly for a fun wedding. At one point, we had dancing in one barn, a casino in an another and a more chilled out environment outside.
The fact that you and some guests can stay onsite for a long weekend helps make the whole event even better, and you end up really feeling at home in the place where you get married.
We really can’t praise the whole set up more.

Stayed here with friends over my wedding weekend. It's a fantastic property. The kitchen had everything we needed, well furnished house, comfortable beds. Beautiful location - peaceful, beautiful sunsets, can walk to Tapnell Farm and well located for some great walks and beach trips over the west of the IoW.
Customer service off the charts.. just a phone call away if any problems. We stayed during a heat wave and the fan in one of the bedrooms didn't work. We flagged it up on arrival - within minutes an engineer was on site to fix it and the following day a delivery of fans arrived to ensure there was one for every bedroom.

We had the best time ever.
From the run up to the wedding to the actual day Chloe was amazing.
Billy, Susan, Mia were all incredible as well.
They made our day so perfect and all our guests were impressed by their incredible service.
The venue is in my eyes the best on the island and has that wow factor that you want on your big day.
The place was super clean so a big thank you to the housekeeping team.
The garden are so well maintained and colourful so a big shout out to the gardening team that worked so hard.
In a nutshell I wish we could do it all over again and thank you East Afton for everything.

Honestly where do we start! We had the most perfect wedding day ever, this venue really is a dream! I can’t thank Chloe & Mel enough for everything!
We first booked the venue towards the end of 2019 and Chloe was amazing throughout the whole planning, nothing was ever too much trouble was always there to answer any questions and to help out with anything we needed! We really couldn’t of asked for anyone better to help with our day! On the day Mel was on hand to help out and again she was amazing!!! They really offer the best service, so thank you both so so much!
The house is beautiful, clean and perfect for all you and your guests to enjoy! In our opinion it’s worth every penny you pay, as you can enjoy the whole venue at East Afton from the moment you check in. Chloe was very attentive from the moment we checked in making sure we are ok and have everything we need but also leaving us to it to enjoy our time, the perfect balance.

We can't thank Chloe and all the staff at East Afton enough for their support, hospitality & professionalism.
The venue is spectacular, all the finer details were executed exactly as we had been planning with Chloe for 18 months, and we truly can't fault anything at all. Kev prepared a gorgeous meal & evening buffet, the staff were professional & friendly, the recommendations for band & DJ couldn't have been more right for us.
We had the most amazing & perfect day, memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

We couldn't have picked a better venue for our wedding, we knew as soon as we saw it that was where we wanted to get married. The location is stunning with fantastic views and the grounds are beautifully kept and looked amazing with trees in blossom. We loved the charm of the rustic barn where we had our ceremony and the modern barn was perfect for our small wedding of 20 people.
The farmhouse and annexe are simply gorgeous. All the rooms are beautifully furnished, very clean and comfortable and well equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay. It was the ideal space for getting together with our wedding party the night before and the cinema room was a big hit with everyone!
Chloe, Mel and the rest of the team were incredible from start to finish. The organisation and communication with Chloe leading up to the wedding has been brilliant throughout and everyone worked so hard on the day to make our day amazing. We really did have the most perfect day - thank you so much!

We honestly don’t know where to start. The venue itself was always our number one “dream” location for our wedding. We never thought it would happen and it did, and it surpassed any and all of our wildest dreams; it was so perfect.
The Farmhouse was incredible and beautiful and had absolutely everything we could’ve wanted and more. (the cinema room is absolutely phenomenal)
For us though, what made everything so perfect was how amazing, accommodating and incredible Chloe and the team on our wedding day were. Every request, silly or otherwise Chloe was happy to oblige and went above and beyond anything we could’ve expected. Even leading up to the day, with everything going on with the world and Covid Chloe always kept us up to date and ensured everything was going smoothly. She worked tirelessly to meet our needs and we cannot thank her enough for making our day and stay so special.
5 stars isn’t enough for what we’ve experienced and I’m sure others won’t be disappointed having their big day here in the future.

The house and grounds are beautiful. We were lucky to have East Afton as a wedding venue and the farmhouse & annex were included as part of the package; a huge bonus!! As a large family we often struggle to find accommodation to cater for us all when we go away together. Even though we live on the island we’d be inclined to book here for future breaks knowing how wonderful it is!! I would highly recommend East Afton to anyone; the house has plenty to offer, the gardens are gorgeous and it is located in the wonderful west Wight!

From the moment we booked East Afton, no ask was too much. Chloe, went above and beyond to support us making our dream wedding a reality, even during the COVID-pandemic.
As a same sex couple, we unfortunately found the wedding industry quite difficult to navigate. However, the team at East Afton Farmhouse made us feel comfortable, listened to us and gave advice when we were sometimes quite clueless on trivial topics, i.e how do we walk down the aisle. The staff and the venue made us feel really at ease which helped us to enjoy our day.
Our wedding coordinator, Carrie was wonderful in every way possible and quite literally took hold of every possible task during the day. The bar staff were professional, approachable and so much fun!
The farmhouse was perfect for our families, friends and dog. The farmhouse allowed for us to set up the venue in our own time whilst also hosting cinema nights, dinner evenings, as well as playing sports/games! For us this meant the lead up to our wedding day was so much fun, surrounded by our most favourite people, enjoying everything on our doorstep! We loved every minute of being at East Afton Farmhouse - thank you from the bottom of our hearts, our wedding was perfect.

We are so glad we decided to get married at East Afton. The organisation from Chloe and the team was perfect from start to finish. Most of our guests were able to stay with us at the venue over the wedding period which meant we got to spend lots of quality time with them, and we couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful setting. Upon our first visit out to East Afton we instantly fell in love with it as the location for our wedding.
The rural setting, beautiful house and its capacity to have all of our family and closest friends staying within the house and the annexe was amazing.
The booking process, communication (especially when dealing with the uncertainty due to covid) made a huge aspect of our wedding and staycation stress free.
Chloe was incredibly helpful and informative - but also relaxed and made us feel like we had a huge amount of flexibility… Something that as a wedding venue was really important to us.
The house itself has everything you could need, with beautiful en suite bedrooms making room selection easy as everyone was a winner! The cinema room in particular was a highlight for our niece and nephew. The added bonus that we could bring the family Labradors away was the icing on the cake.
The new additional barn was absolutely perfect for our size of wedding and the aesthetics of how new integrated with the traditional aspects of the house and old barn worked perfectly.
We could write so much more about how perfect the house was as both a wedding venue and also a group getaway - but we would be here all day.

Everything at East Afton farmhouse was absolutely perfect - we really couldn't have wished for a better location for our wedding. Having use of the venue and all of the facilities in the days leading up to the wedding was so ideal and meant that we could enjoy time together before the big day and get everything ready ahead of time. The farmhouse and all of the facilities are fab - our wedding was the first in the brand new events barn and it is simply stunning! We couldn't recommend this venue more highly!

We stayed at East Afton for 5 days for our wedding and it didn’t disappoint. Absolutely stunning venue and the new barn is wow!
It was also a lovely break with family & friends who stayed at the house with us for a few days before and after the wedding. Just amazing and all our guest were amazed with how beautiful the venue is. Would love to go back at some point. Thanks to all the staff at East Afton. Xx

We are very grateful to Tom, Chloe and team for hosting our small and intimate COVID wedding in December, which was arranged at quite short notice. Chloe was very friendly and efficient, offering practical support and advice in response to our queries, especially when face-to-face contact was not possible due to COVID restrictions. Our photographer was able to visit the site ahead of the wedding to "checkout" the venue and was made to feel welcome. Chloe sourced a vintage tea-service to accompany our vintage afternoon tea theme and ensured everything ran smoothly and effortlessly on the actual day. Although our wedding was small, the venue lends itself to a much bigger event and other couples looking for a suitable venue will not be disappointed with the full facilities and accommodation on offer.

The guys at Tapnell have been great at supporting us through this COVID nightmare and a big shout out to Jim & Chloe for all they have done for us (and the endless emails!) we had a great stay, everyone really enjoyed themselves. The venue is great and we will be looking to come back to visit again soon. We know they have invested a lot across the park and we are looking forward to seeing the venue progress.
Communication & instructions for property all left out ready for us on the day, email/text support was fab too!
Only negative feedback is really niggly (and not something that would personally bother us but worth noting for others I guess) small things are the house could do with a little TLC, tiles are loose in some bathrooms, sash windows not all fully working/ a little dangerous because of this, the tumble door is sticking, etc otherwise perfect 10/10 stay for us.

I booked the cottage and annex for my dads 70th birthday, with a large family group of all ages staying. The house was beautiful and clean, the facilities brilliant. The cinema room was a huge hit with all, and even made good use of the hot tub in the rain.
I thoroughly recommend the house it was a brilliant experience, and even left us some 70th birthday goodies. Really kind and thoughtful team.

We had a wonderful wedding chloe the manager and her team were great.
The house we stayed in was extremely clean and well presented, however we Had a lot of issues with the electrics tripping out. On the morning of the wedding it whent and held us up by half an hour as hair and makeup couldn't be done, there wasent enough lighting apparently to take nice pictures. We called the manager who sent an electrition straight away, by this point a friend had sorted it. We got the electrition to sort out the plugs in the ceremony barn as one wasent working that we wanted to use.
There was a leak from the upstairs shower into the kitchen also morning of the wedding.
I was told that electrics whent off again on wedding day resulting in my husband having to get into the garage in his wedding suit.
On the Sunday evening the electrics tripped over 10 times, this was rather annoying. We had a friends baby crawling around and couple of dogs.
Because the electrics kept going this meant the WiFi took a very long time to reset. This was interfering with the cinema room so was unable to enjoy..
Despite all this we genuinely did have a fantastic time.. And id do it all again.

We had a fantastic stay at the farmhouse with family for our wedding. It was a great venue that allowed you the freedom to do what you wanted decoration wise and there were a number of options regarding staffing etc for the evening part of the event. Even in the winter it was possible to use both barns with hired in heater for the outside barn to allow separation with reception drinks and dinner
If possible it would have been useful to be able to hire the cutlery/crockery/glassware directly from the venue rather than another company or having to bring it in yourself.

Stayed with a group of friends (adults/toddlers and babies) for a weekend. The team were super helpful throughout the booking process and were easily contactable throughout the stay if we needed anything.
The house is stunning and the hot tub has great views. The cinema room is pretty special too! There is a kitchen garden and lots of outdoor space to enjoy.
Would definitely stay here again, the only thing missing was a cheese grater!

We cannot recommend staying at East Afton Farmhouse highly enough. The house and annex are absolutely beautiful, with great spaces to socialise with friends & family. All the rooms are spacious and decorated in a unique way. Everything we could have needed was available, including a lovely gift of eggs and prosecco on arrival. Our children (and some grown up children!) made lots of use of the cinema room, and the hot tub with the stunning views was also a highlight for us. The barns provided us with a fantastic space for a party, and many of our friends stayed in accommodation on the farm meaning on a short distance to travel back to bed once the party was over! Chloe and her team were superb and accommodated all our needs, including for guests with additional needs. They could not have been more helpful - thank you. We will remember our weekend at East Afton with the fondest of memories and hope to stay again in the not too distant future!

We had a good time on our week long visits Aug 2018 & 2019. Windows need refurbishing (same comment last year!) BBQ is poor. Clearly set up for large group events but good for family holidays. Needs handyman TLC over the winter. Towel rails don’t heat. Cinema projector fan is very noisy. AGA out if control (can’t turn it down!). Had to defrost red fridge before use (door seal doesn’t). Rats in the garden but it’s by a farm so to be expected, we guessed. Take toilet rolls! We’d still recommend it to others. It is quiet and safe. The beds are comfy. You’ll never run out of glasses or plates. Garden is huge.

Lovely wedding venue. Very well looked after, we were particularly grateful that trouble was taken to clean the windows and mow the lawn for our wedding. Chloe and Billie were very helpful. The house was fantastic, really well equipped and lovely.
The only feedback that I would suggest is that the floor of the barn was painted in an emulsion that dissolved during the day. Guests were covered in grey paint by the end. Unfortunately, despite a dry-cleaners concerted efforts, my dress is ruined. Perhaps the floor could be tiled or similar for the future to avoid the same think happening. But it is a minor side-issue and I would thoroughly recommend East Afton as a wedding venue.

We had the most amazing time staying at the Farmhouse and hosting our wedding there.
Having the property from the Wednesday before the big day meant that both our families (x17 of us including x3 small children) could comfortably stay and gave us plenty of time to relax and set up the venue. The facilities available were perfect for our needs and the location couldn’t have been better with the beach and a large Co-Op close by.
Everything was clean and tidy and Chloe, Amanda and the team were incredibly helpful and welcoming.
As a wedding venue, the set up was just what we wanted as it meant the whole day could be run smoothly including the ceremony, drinks, meal and dancing all in one stunning location.
Could not have been a better experience!

Having the few days before to the build up to our Wedding to decorate, and allowing all the family to come and stay with us in the fantastic house and annex. The grounds were lovely and gave us the opportunity to explore and use different areas of the gardens and barns to use on our special day. We had an amazing family weekend away celebrating our parents 70th Birthdays, the house is perfect for big groups, it is spacious, well equipped, we enjoyed games by the log fire, the children loved the cinema room, the table tennis and everyone loved the hot tub.
We visited 'The Cow' Restaurant and had a lovely meal on the Saturday evening. There are plenty of walks and things to do, we would love to return and would definitely recommend it.

If you have looked on The website and think that East Afton Farmhouse and Annexe looks lovely then be prepared to be (pleasantly) shocked... Its so much better in real life!
The venue is the prefect space to meet up and reconnect with family and friends, comfortable bedrooms, excellent bathrooms and acres of communal space which means you can escape and have some time to yourself when you need it. The farmhouse kitchen which has a small dining table, and island and a large sofa was our "hub" where we congregated, drank tea in the morning and champagne and cocktails in the evening and danced to the early hours. There is a formal dining room which is so amazing as you can seat 18 people (at a push) around a gorgeous table and there is a comfy lounge with wood burning stove where you can relax.
So often when you rent a house you find its not terribly well equipped but East Afton exceeded our expectations! Endless glassware, crockery and cutlery which was good quality too! Saucepans, Knives, Utensils, dishes... everything you could possibly need! There is even a Nespresso coffee machine (with Milk frother!!) which was very popular with everyone
The rooms are all finished to an excellent standard, with well equipped ensuite bathrooms. There is an additional bathroom too to help with queues!
The roof top terrrace with hot tub was just such a luxury and we made lots of use of this despite visiting in early January and the cinema room was a lovely bonus too!
We really did not want to leave and will definitely be back in the future.
A little note on customer service too- Chloe and her team are AMAZING! Really quick responses to emailed queries and a lovely welcome text on the day we arrived.
I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a thoroughly luxurious place to stay for a large group!

The house is beautiful but not very well maintained,lots of faults with bits and pieces broken or missing. My son nearly lost his fingers when trying to open a window which turned out had broken sash strings. On a more positive note, the space and size of the house and surrounding area is great,peaceful and relaxing.

We held our reception at East Afton in September and the groom’s family stayed in the Farmhouse. It makes for a perfect rural wedding location whatever the weather (ours was wet!) - great set-up for a party with plenty of room for dining, dancing, a kitchen suitable for caterers, lots of nooks and crannies for people to explore. Chloe went out of her way to help us on the day, including ferrying people back and forth from the venue to the after party when taxis were scarce!
Great venue for a large family gathering too - cosy Farmhouse feel with plenty of dining space and garden for kids to explore. Highly recommend!

From our initial enquiry until we left the house we always had immediate/ helpful and friendly response from all the Tapnell staff but especially from Chloe.
We all agreed the house was the best we had stayed in 20 years of renting properties. We had both the farmhouse and annex.
We were a group of grandparents our children and grandchildren. 12 adults, 1 baby, 2 toddlers and 2 dogs.
All the rooms were of equal good quality so no one felt short changed.
The kitchen/ dining /living is the hub of the house and was light and cosy and had everything you could wish for. The lounge provided respite for the granddads and the dining room was great for our evening meals.
An added bonus was the table tennis and cinema room. There is plenty of parking for many cars.
We visited the farm both days and we all enjoyed what was on offer.
We will definitely return.

We booked East Afton Farmhouse for a short break to celebrate a Hen Weekend. We knew it would be nice but this was beyond our expectations! We entered the kitchen to find a massive bottle of Prosecco, a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a bottle of milk (always a must) what a lovely touch! Its in the quietest location, although still about 6 mins from civilisation! The kitchen was magnificent with a huge Aga (as well as a conventional oven/hob), big seating area, and loads of storage and fridges. Another quieter lounge with a log fire which we lit very easily. We used the cinema room twice and the hot tub was a lovely treat before bed! The rooms were all lovely and full of character, none of the normal boring hotels were all used to. Each had its own en-suite. Hot water flowed, the rooms were all lovely and warm, the views were magnificent, you could even see the water from a few.
We also booked the Annex which was equally as charming.
Definitely worth 5 stars!

Had a magical time at the farmhouse which leant itself to a large group gathering. Best bits were the jaccuzi, great beds and linen, the cinema room, and on a practical side a great kitchen with loads of fridge/freezer space.
Chloe and the team were amazing in communicating prior to the booking and then in looking after our needs when we arrived.

Fantastic facility for our specific use of Business retreat. Events barn excellent for group meetings (ants were present) and other rooms great for smaller breakouts. Love the kitchen diner area (very heavy chairs round the table which could be bigger, light in pantry faulty & leak in kitchen ceiling). Rooms very comfortable. Loved the cinema (written instructions for use would be great) and spa superb (although lights didn't work). Lots of space and very cosy. Lovely BBQ area and gardens. Despite some minor issues we will definitely return as we felt looked after by the amazing Chloe! Thanks for having us :-)

Lovely place for a group to stay as plenty of communal spaces including huge kitchen diner and another large lounge and of course the wonderful roof terrace with hot tub and sun until late evening!. Outdoors has plenty of space too so we never felt on top of each over and children were safe to wander around. We had the bonus of a beautiful weekend weather wise so actually spent a lot of time at the house when not walking over the downs or sampling the nearby beaches.

A good place for a family get together, with a lovely big kitchen and dining room. The hot tub was a lovely luxury after a walk up and over the downs, and we all enjoyed an Easter egg hunt in the garden. The table tennis table was in very good condition and in an ideal location. We loved seeing the newly born lambs in the paddock, and visiting the pigs and calves on the farm.
We would have benefited from instructions on which pans to use on the induction hob, especially as the aga wasn’t hot enough to cook on. Also the tumble drier set off the fire alarm, again a simple instruction to open the windows when using it would have prevented this disruption.

We were a party of 12 old friends and we had a great time at East Afton - the kitchen, dining room and sofa area means that you can all hang out together whilst preparing meals, there's also another large dining room and a separate living room with a large wood burning stove. We also used the annex which is lovely. We had very strange weather in mid-March, which meant we sat in the hot tub on the roof terrace whilst it snowed on us! There are great walks nearby, we had an excellent meal at the Red Lion up the road, and there's a large co-op nearby if you need anything. Lastly, the Tapnell Farm team were very friendly and helpful and the whole experience felt very relaxed. We've stayed in lots of large houses and this has everything you need, it's very comfortable and is good value - we'd definitely come back another year.

East Afton Farmhouse is perfect for a group getaway. 10 of us stayed for new year and we had a great weekend. The beds were so comfortable, the house is beautiful and the cinema room and hot tub are an excellent addition.
My only suggestion would be that the kitchen could be a little more equipped and possibly a couple of essentials, such as oil, kitchen roll etc provided. But this was not a big deal! Would recommend.

Excellent house and facilities, the rooms were all really nice and the cinema room and hot tub in particular were brilliant. Great communication from the team at Tapnel Farm, kept me updated with the booking and provided lots of useful information. Nice rural setting with nearby country walks, and the Cow Co restaurant on the farm (approx 15 minutes’ walk from the house) serves amazing burgers! Already looking to book again for next year!!

A lovely farmhouse very comfortable especially the sitting room with the log burner. Plenty of room for a large party and lovely outside space. Extremely helpful staff.

Such a fantastic place for party or just a family gathering - so much fun for all generations - can't recommend this place enough and will definitely be returning soon.
