Escape to the country in our comfy, cosy Eco Pods!

Our full-insulated pods have been thoughtfully designed to maximise space, making them perfect for a romantic getaway for two or a snug retreat for a family of four.

Each Eco Pod has a built-in double bed, a pull-out double sofa bed, open plan kitchenette and living area, shower room and toilet.

Plus, to make the most of the views, each one pod features a private decking area, plenty of outdoor seating and a BBQ for al fresco dining perfect for watching the sun setting over the West Wight.

Loved the location and everything around us. All the little details were covered and we didn’t want for anything. Originally booked just for 2, my daughter ended up joining us, making us 3 staying. It’s a bit cosy for 3, perfect for us, but unless you’re close friends I would opt for the bigger Modulogs.
Central heating worked very well and the EcoPod was not all all drafty. Important to us staying in November.

We were staying just for two nights for a friends wedding. We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived, the Pod is gorgeous!
Literally has everything you need and more and was just so cute and cosy.
We stayed in November, but the heating was perfect.
Thank you so much to the team, it was all seamless and we’ll definitely be back!

We had a fantastic stay in the Eco Pod.
The sunset and views were breathtaking.
A cosy lodging with a great meal and friendly service at The Cow.

Sat outside the Pod under incredible stars with a bottle of wine until the early hours watching shooting stars.

Will come again for another switch-off and relax.

We had a lovely stay in one of the Eco Pods at Tapnell Farm. The Pod was lovely. It had everything you needed including fridge, hob, kettle including tea, coffee, sugar and even milk in the fridge. There were plenty of towels and beds were made up. The view from the Pod is amazing and the grounds are lovely. We would definately stay there again.

We stayed for 1 night as guests of a wedding along the road - we were given earlier access to our pod because of this and it made for the perfect start to the day.
The pod was so clean and tidy and we never heard a sound from outside at all.

The pod was in a great location for a short break. We had all we needed, it was nice and quiet with a great location. There were three of us in the pod so it was perfect for what we needed for a few nights, but the bed was a little hard for us if we were staying longer.

We had a short break with our 3 grandchildren and stayed in Pod1, we couldn’t fault anything, in fact my daughter is going to book for next year for her family , we could have easily not left the farm as there is so much to do

We enjoyed the ecopod as a simple and lower cost option for staying at Tapnell Farm. We arrived after dark, so the signs directing us to the ecopod parking and units were difficult to see but we figured it out. Definitely, the wheelbarrows made trundling our suitcases down a woodchip path much easier. This is a UK country property, so it is best to be prepared for rain. All our inquiries via email were promptly addressed and it seems to be an extremely professionally managed property. The grounds were beautiful and well kept.

Myself and my friend Jaqui spent a well deserved rest in this beautiful pod after a hard days cycling around the island. It had everything we needed to rest and recuperate. It is beautifully located, very cozy and very comfortable. The pod’s beautiful decking, with deckchair's and giant bean bag was very inviting. We’d ordered a bottle of wine to sit, relax and enjoy the beautiful view and we’re looking forward to lighting the fire pit later in the evening. The only problem was that our friend the Great British weather joined us and it was raining and blowing a Hooley which was such a shame. However, a very delicious burger and chips at The Cow restaurant made up for it, fantastic food and great service. The pod was warm and cosy on our return and very comfortable and it was so peaceful to be tucked away in the country side. We’ve decided we’ll have to return again to reap all the benefits it gives. Would thoroughly recommend. I also wanted to say that Chloe, my contact throughout was most helpful and very accommodating in her role. She is a credit to you.

Have stayed at tapnell Farm about 5 years ago so familiar with the set up which is very professional and well organised. As before had an excellent stay from start to finish, from the ferry being booked for us and being keep updated as to the time our accommodation would be ready which was 5 hour earlier than expected. Our ecopod was very welcoming and cosy. There was a lovely hamper with all local produce, bread, jam, butter, eggs, bacon & proseco. There were good directions to find our pod but a member of staff met us in the car park and walked us to our pod. Absolutely stunning views. It was a shame it wasn't a clear night because it would be an astronomers delight. Didn’t hear any noise from other people around. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back to stay & take our dog, as there are some lovely walks nearby.

Nice touch having milk and eggs already there.

I loved the Ecopod. It was comfortable, clean and perfectly located. I arrived when the sun was shining and sat outside on the deckchairs looking out over the fields. The pod is very cute. It was comfortable, well equipped and clean. I was only there for one night but it has everything you need for a longer stay. The hosts were very attentive.

Wonderful venue & great costumer service. We had a fantastic family experience. Highly recommend. We have an 11 month old and the staff even included high chair and baby cups/ plates. They thought of everything. My four year old didn’t want to leave - and I didn’t either. We will definitely be back.

I stayed on night in November for work and the whole booking and check in ( key in the door) was great for me. I loved the view and peacefulness of the location although it was too cold for me to site outside unfortunately! Inside the pod is clean, cosy and comfortable.

We had a great stay and were very impressed with everything. The only downside was the mosquitos/bugs, if some bug screens could be put on the windows then I think that would be a big help. Also some extra shelves would be handy. Overall, a great stay, in the cosy little pod in a great location. The children absolutely loved all the park activities.

We stayed in an Eco pod, we took our dog, great walks, fantastic location and it had everything we needed. On arrival it was already stocked with towels, bedding, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, w. Up liquid, bbq coals and firelighters. Hob, microwave, fridge etc so we just brought food etc. Lots of facilities for families with a fantastic aqua park. Lovely beaches a short drive away for paddle boarding, swimming etc. Site is well maintained, free fresh eggs from on site hens and staff are friendly and available for any questions or issues. I will be returning.

Super accommodation for our family biking trip around the IOW. The pod is simple but with tasteful décor and provides all you need in a clever design. We slept 2 children and 2 adults comfortably. Great to have access to the Tapnell Farm amenities whilst still feeling secluded.

I stayed for one night at Ecopod 1 and tiny as it is, it was comfortable, clean and so well maintained. Loved everything about our stay, the views, barbecue set, the pod itself is so cosy! The only thing that didn’t work was the fairy lights on the balcony which I was looking forward to since it lights up the entire pod beautifully.

The weather was bad and so very kindly the farm agreed to refund my barbecue booking immediately. Really great customer experience and stay!

We came for self contained and outdoor inspiration without roughing it (also a family funeral on the island) and enjoyed our brief stay very much. Out of season, it was quiet and very special. Suggestion for computer numpties: Put the ferry info earlier, as we missed it and got a poor deal.
We particularly liked your eco/sustainable approach and the 2 lovely ladies hand weeding our patch rather than chemical sprays.
Possible future venture? A number of more Quiet/meditative Pods for those who would like to retreat into nature? I get that you are orientated to families, but your accommodation is so brilliant, it would be lovely to return and know we could be somewhere secluded. Perhaps title should be: A pair of anti-social Oldies!! Thank you for a lovely place to rest our heads.

When on the island we tend to be out and about. Thus we’ve never fixated on accommodation, as we are rarely there. Tapnell farm is a great place, especially for kids, as there’s so much to do. It’s modern and clean. The staff are engaged and helpful and the on-site food at their restaurant - The Cow, is really good as well. We stayed in an eco pod. Everything was clean and modern. Powerful shower and although it was unseasonably cold on 11/4, the heating was more than adequate leaving my daughter and I cosy. Some nice touches like matches left for the barbecue outside (we didn’t get to use it) and two pints of locally sourced fresh milk in the fridge. The pods are small, but the clue is in the name and accommodation here includes subsided ferry crossings making it little more expensive than an austere and grim Travel Lodge. Some real care has gone into design here. They deserve every success.

I cannot fault the staff for their communication and help before our stay. The addition of a toy waiting for my daughter with a cute note was a really lovely touch. The accommodation itself was immaculate and beautifully presented. There was local milk in the fridge and cookies on the side. However, we were not warned about the distance you have to walk from the car park to the pod, which was not fun in the rain with our luggage. It would have been impossible for anyone with mobility issues. It was also far too hot in the pod, with the heating on full blast when we got there. Doors and windows were opened to try and cool it down, but this was made difficult by the strong winds and rain. The beds were very firm and neither of us slept well, with me waking each morning aching all over. There is no way pod 1 would accommodate more than 2 people comfortably as it was quite cramped even for us...though the other pods did look more spacious. Despite the very pretty location, I would not personally pay the price I found on airbnb for the pod, even at the off season rate and I believe that many people would find it prohibitively expensive.

Me and my partner stayed here for a wedding down the road, and had a lovely time in the eco pod - even though it was winter it was not cold at all in the pod, and it was so sweet and snug. Tapnell Farm itself is in a stunning location, and we adored the Farm Shop and its great selection of goods. We also went to The Cow (onsite restaurant) which was also fantastic and delicious. We Hope to come back in the summer soon.

It was our 2nd stay at Tom’s eco lodge - my daughter just can’t get enough of Tapnell Farm Park. We loved the pod. Very cute & cozy, well equipped with everything we needed. The British weather let us down as it rained relentlessly for both days which prevented us from using the bbq or the fire pit. A little shelf in the bed area would be ideal for resting a Cup of tea or a book.

The eco pod was comfortable and cozy, The housekeeping team are treasures it was spotless, we arrived quite late due to a breakdown with the ferry, so were glad to get inside and put the kettle on. I did like the wfii tablet which allowed the visitor to be in touch with Chloe, so after a quick chat and we were able to arrange to leave a little later on the Sunday morning, nothing was too much trouble the TAP team were always efficient and friendly.
I know there are wheelbarrows to move any cases and such like, but it would have been a perfect 10, if were able to park by the pod.
I would have no hesitation in recommending a stay here and we are a couple of 60 somethings, so well done to the Tapnell Team, not forgetting our visit to the farm shop and gift shop before we left for home.
We will visit again and for longer.

The ecopod was perfectly located, facing west so that we could enjoy the late afternoon sun, lounging in deckchairs looking out over green fields. We were very cosy inside but spent most of the time with our family (four adults and five kids) who were in the nearby wood cabin. Even though there's a busy farm park and other attractions nearby, these dwellings are tucked away and there was no noise at all. The night sky was magical.

This is a special kind of place. The views, peace and tranquillity are absolutely worth the money, and the pod itself is delightful. Everything is very well thought out and the space is utilised really well. The bed is certainly in a snug space but it is super comfy. The bathroom does everything needed, with an excellent, hot shower (better than many hotels in our experience). The kitchen space also has everything needed for a self-catering trip. The view from the pod is magnificent, and so it was a real treat to be able to relax in the deck-chairs on the decking in the sunshine. There is a picnic table to eat outside, as well as BBQ and fire pit (we did not use either of the latter but everything is supplied should you wish to). The pod is a short walk up to the main site, which includes the excellent, very well provisioned, farm shop and the Cow bar and restaurant. There is a games room as well, with a pool table, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We booked for an archery session too, which was great and very well facilitated by the staff member. Overall, we had a fantastic time and are already thinking about when we might be able to return.

Everything provided for a comfortable stay. Excellent views outside the pod. Lighting at night very pretty and helpful as I was on my own.
Great to have bbq and fire pit.
Although car park a bit away I could bring my car along the track below to just drop off my stuff which helped me.
Will be booking again . I could be with family but had my own accommodation .
Very successful .

What a lovely place! We felt as if we had been away for ages & it was just overnight. The pods are comfortable & clean & more roomy than expected. Great to have the wheelbarrows for the luggage. The farm is great for families/kids. The pod was very cool, comfortable bed, good shower and well equipped mini kitchenette. Well kitted out.

Everything great, sofa could have been a little more comfortable for lounging around/relaxing but otherwise all great!

We also had a camp fire one evening outside and all logs, firefighters etc were provided. Very nice touch

Will be back

Even before we arrived Chloe made us feel cared for and welcomed as we had to reschedule our stay due to a series of high-wind storms affecting travel. This was not a problem at all and we were given as much time as we wanted to reschedule and plan.
Communication was brilliant and Chloe made sure we had all the information and directions we needed and took care of booking the ferry travel for us. The pod itself was amazing with every amenity needed and many extras! We had such a cozy stay and also enjoyed Axe Throwing which was great fun (Hugh was brilliant) and we ate at The Cow restaurant - amazing food and milkshake!
Tapnell Farm blew us away and we wish we had stayed longer!

We had a lovely anniversary stay. The pod was cosy and the anniversary balloon and chilled processco on arrival (as part of our dine and stay offer) was so welcoming.
We loved eating at The Cow restaurant -the staff were so friendly and the atmosphere and food we're good.
The views from the pod were lovely - we only stayed one my so didn't get to use the decking, fire pit and BBQ. So, we must come back again!

We had an amazing time at our eco pod. It is well appointed, warm and cozy. The pre-ordered baskets are an excellent idea and the s’mores are top rate. Everything is designed to ensure your camping trip is a pleasurable success regardless of weather. Even the fire starters and wood made the campfire foolproof. Thank you for an unforgettable time.

Fabulous place to stay will definitely come back. Would be a fabulous place to bring children too. Food in restaurant was fabulous (veggie burger & meat burger) the best veggie burger I’ve ever had! Accommodation was just perfect so clean stayed in the eco pod for a couple. Staff were just so lovely too in restaurant & little shop.

We enjoyed our stay at Tapnell farms Ecopod 1 however their are a number of issues with the pod that would improve the quality of the experience. Because of the size of the Ecopod space is always going to be a problem . The dining table takes up a large amount of space if a folding design was incorporated this could be a great space saver . The fold out bed is useful for families but as a seat it is very uncomfortable , perhaps a new design could be sourced . The toilet and shower room would benefit with some shelving in the room and shower cubicle itself . I felt that the kitchen was missing an oven , a microwave combination oven would give residents a lot more cooking options . The Ecopods are situated with a most glorious view and the staff at Tapnell farm could not have been more polite and helpful , we came home happy and relaxed and would recommend a stay at Tapnell farm to anyone who has been on a previous camping/hosteling holiday.

Superb location with loads for the kids to do. Ecopod very tight for a a family of 3 but we are tall. Much better than camping in a tent! Must be OK as our 3rd year back. We hope to go back next year.

Small niggle they change residents for entry to farm park. This should definitely be free to residents! I still highly recommend.

Brilliant time, really clean pod, provided everything needed.
Went for dinner at the cow - brilliant services
Attended the aqua park and the staff were great.
However, in the evening sleeping in the pod was extremely hot. We had the windows and doors open of a day time and the fan on at night time. But due to the mosquitoes we couldn’t keep the windows open at night time. This made sleeping really difficult, so we hardly slept on both nights we were there.
Other than that in the evening, we had a great time and can’t fault anything else

We loved the ecopod and the eco concept. It was bijoux but just perfect for the three of us. Clean and welcoming with lovely thoughtful touches such as milk in the fridge and IOW biscuits waiting for us. Lovely quiet location on the edge of the farm with walk through wooded area to get there. We also used the shop and also ate at The Cow restaurant which was excellent. We will definitely be back!

We are a family of 4 and I was looking for a long weekend break and happened to find this gem! This place is perfect and has absolutely everything you need! I am serious when I say that I never thought we could travel this close and have so much fun!

We stayed at the Eco Pod 1 and had all the necessary items needed, from cooker, to kettle, blankets to hot water bottle!! They really though of it all! Cleaning products, coffee, tea, sugar, pots, pans, BBQ utensils you name it, they have it all!!
All you need are food and you wellies and you're ready to go!

We bought tickets to the farm park and also to the Aqua park which we loved! We ate at the Cow restaurant and it was delicious and also ate the lovely sausage rolls from the honesty shed. We received some eggs for our breakfast and also ordered a pastry breakfast hamper and a BBQ hamper (the meat was super delicious).
we brought all needed to make s'mores and had a blast.
The pod is gorgeous at night when all the little fairy lights are up and all our friends were amazed by our pictures and all want to now book a stay!
We highly recommend it to all, this is a magical place and hope to go back really really soon!

A very good facility that is as suitable for a couple of friends on a hiking trip as it is for families with children. Smaller Eco Pods located in a quiet area with the larger accommodation near by but not far enough not to bother each other with noise. Food and drink in the Cow was very good and well priced. Facilities were excellent, fire pit with wood included in the price. Myself and a friend opted for the Full English Breakfast hamper at a cost of £18. Given the large volume of local produce that was supplied, Bacon, Sausages, 6 eggs, tomatoes, load of bread, pack of butter, 1 litre of orange joule, fresh milk, cookies and a large bag of mushrooms we thought it was excellent value for money. The only thing that niggled was the £35 surcharge for using the sofa bed as we were 2 friends requiring separate beds. Advertised as a 2+2 pod the surcharge was not apparent when booking and only notified afterwards. £35, per night to have 2 pillows, a sheet and a duvet placed on a shelf for self assembly is a bit steep. I would suggest making the pricing clearer on the website with the booking selection changed to reflect the number of beds required not the number of persons staying.

Fantastic place to visit, brilliant views - had Pod 1. They povide everything you need tbh - firewood, matches, cutlery, cooking stoves, even fire lighters. Well maintained area, safe and great for kids. Isle of wight attractions v close too. Highly recommend the Pod and fantastic views. Was quite a lot of dust on the window curtains however. Dusting wasn't up to scratch but otherwise cleanliness couldn't fault.

Not only the attention to detail but the whole concept makes for a wonderful stay at Tapnell Farm.
The homegrown herbs, pizza oven, personal fire pits and bbqs along with the accommodation make it such a relaxing, fun place to stay.
We absolutely loved our time here and for both adults and children the farm is a little slice of heaven!

We absolutely loved our stay on Tapnell Farm. The eco-lodge was fabulous and much better than we had expected. Would definitely return and recommend to others! Would advise taking a car as that was the only thing that we struggled with given the location is slightly removed, but lots to do on Tapnell Farm and we managed to get everywhere we wanted by foot.

Even though the weather was horrendous our stay in pod 1 was cute and cosy. We enjoyed a yummy meal at the Cow, had a lazy morning with bacon sarnies and then ventured along the Tapnell trail in our waterproofs. Whilst the weather meant we didn’t have much use for the bbq or fire pit, we just used the free wifi for movies instead. A lovely relaxing getaway!

We have stayed in the pods for 4 years now and love the set up and view -although as a growing family it was a real squeeze for the 4 of us this year. One thing the kids (and I) would love is a bean bag like the other accomodation and we only seemed to have one deck chair. I think some additional rugs and blankets might be nice so sitting outside on a chilly day is more comfortable. We would really suggest including the farm park entry into the accomodation or having it as an additional extra at booking so receipts and payments don’t have to be tracked on entry. The pods are quite expensive for what they are compared to other accomodation locally but the whole set up for a group especially is lovely.

This is a great place to stay whether you are a family or like us a couple. Eco pod one was in a great position with lovely views over the countryside. It was also very peaceful. Tom and the team made it a very personalized stay and were quick to remedy a fault with our shower door. We hired a hot tub which was lovely and hot! Relaxing fun at the end of some long walks.The eco pod is small but fine for a few nights' stay if you intend to be out and about exploring the island. Particularly recommend the on site Cow restaurant for meals of a high standard.
Everything that could be done was done to make the accommodation and the site as covid-19 safe as could be.

Me and my partner had a lovely stay in Eco pod 1 for two nights..

Very relaxing and scenery was amazing.. The pod was well equipped and comfortable. Which was perfect for our stay.

Everything you needed was available and the extra’s.. like matches/logs/coal/milk were a lovely touch.

We hired a hot tub from 4 seasons hot tub hire which made the 36 hour very pricey. With check in at 5 and check out by 930 it is expensive. I appreciate cleaning measures must be increased for COVID.

Overall we had a very lovely well early rest and enjoyed our time.

Customer service was perfect and a number to text any problems too was convenient and a quick response, very reliable.

We started our IoW holiday at Tapnell Farm before heading elsewhere to camp. It’s a great location for exploring the SW part of the island, though we spent a load of time at the Park Farm; my youngest loved the Wallabies! We really enjoyed the view, and had great weather, so enjoyed it over breakfast as well as an evening fire.
