Our full-insulated pods have been thoughtfully designed to maximise space, making them perfect for a romantic getaway for two or a snug retreat for a family of four.

Each Eco Pod has a built-in double bed, a pull-out double sofa bed, open plan kitchenette and living area, shower room and toilet.

Plus, to make the most of the views, each one pod features a private decking area, plenty of outdoor seating and a BBQ for al fresco dining perfect for watching the sun setting over the West Wight.

My partner and I had a magical time staying on tapnell farm. Our accomodation was amazing, and although was just an eco pod had all the creature comforts we required since we aren't use to real camping. We especially loved the fire pit and all the wood and accessories they provided us, we had a fire 3 nights of our stay.

The farm itself was a lot of fun, we liked walking around all the animals. The restaurant, shop, cafe were all great as well. We even did archery and axe throwing one day as well, which was really fun!

10/10 would recommend to anyone, and we hope to return to try out a different type of accommodation, maybe one with a hot tub!

Lovely stay on Tapnell Farm. Our Eco Pod was a new adventure for 8 year old Zac who made friends immediately, as did we, with nearby visitors. The aquapark was a firm favourite and the Cow restaurant provided quality food. The farm was a good base for visiting other fav places - Blackgang Chine & the Needles plus the beach at Sandown. The IoW is a great place for family hols.

We had a 1 night stay in the eco pod. Everything you needed was in the pod. Loved the fact there was a pizza oven and bbq. Such a relaxing stay thoroughly enjoyable and would definitely recommend.

We spent the afternoon in the park with our children and grandchildren which was great fun, followed by a meal for 25 people at the Cow restaurant which was excellent.
We then headed off to our pod which was just the perfect end to our day. A beautiful setting, spotlessly clean, cosy and comfortable. We had everything we needed plus a spectacular view.
Would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time staying at the farm, despite not having the best luck with the weather. The secluded and private pod provided a great getaway, and the restaurant was fantastic—the meat was particularly amazing. Unfortunately, due to the weather, we couldn't enjoy the pod as much as we'd hoped.
Basic necessities such as providing small bottles of shower gel and shampoo would have been appreciated, especially since other cleaning products were available for the pod. Additionally, a small bottle of cooking oil spray would have been a useful touch if you wanted to cook on the stove. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and appreciate the nice welcoming staff.

We really enjoyed our stay in eco-pod 2. The pods come with everything you need and there were no less than three towel animals waiting for us! Tapnell farm have thought of everything to make your stay easy and my son loved playing at the farm park during the day.

Loved staying at Tapnell farm and only stayed for one evening for a break. A couple of thoughts for improvement: could you allow cars to park up to unload only? I’m 63 years old and wheeling the barrow full of mine and the dogs luggage across freshly laid wood chip was extremely challenging and I am still in pain!
Also, the bed that is made up needs some kind of shelf and a socket for lap top/phone.
Otherwise, I will look forward to a longer stay in the future

What a wonderful little place to stay for a few days. On arrival we had a text so we could come to the Pod earlier which was lovely. Greeted by eggs and milk which is an treat to be offered. There is lots of do in the area and as the Isle of White it massive - its easy to get around in a day.
We tried the farm park and also The Cow restaurant and were pleased with both.
Would recommend and love to come again in the summer when more is open.
The communication from the booking was fantastic and super informative.

We rented 2 pods for my daughters 13th Birthday, she and her friends had an awesome time hanging and and just exploring the farm, We all ate dinner in The Cow both on the Saturday night and for Sunday lunch both meals were cooked to perfection and the service and the team are just brilliant, I live local and have watched Tapnell Farm grow from a few canvas tents to what it is today it's become one of the best attractions on the Island and the accommodation is second to none, if you like a bit of outdoors life but with a bit of glamor then this is the place to go from the Pods that we stayed in too the larger lodges with hot tubs ( this will be my next stay) then this is for you, Just a few thank you's and shout outs to those that helped me with the stay this time, Amanda who was just brilliant with arranging the pods and and early and late check out, Barry the chicken and veg man who brought us fresh Tapnell eggs in the morning, and Chris who cooks and serves the most amazing roast beef I've ever had. The whole team were just brilliant from start to finish and we will see you again soon.

First class location easy access with all needs catered for.

We had a great one night visit. Pod was ideal for 3 of us and 3 dogs! Location is ideal for walking dogs with great scenery. The paths were great and well sign posted. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time at our stay on Tapnell Farm and would highly recommend to anyone to come stay here! Surrounding areas are beautiful. The eco pod was the perfect sized getaway for a couple and was well supplied for all our needs. We really enjoyed having the lovely produce from the farm shop and the fresh chicken eggs! The Cow is also definitely worth a visit for some delicious food. We don’t drive, so the direct bus link between the farm and Yarmouth was very helpful to us.

We had a wonderful stay in our Eco Pod at Tom's Lodges. On a cold February weekend it was warm, comfortable and cosy. I was worried it may be too small but it was actually a very good design and felt comfortably spacious for two people.
The Pod was very well equipped and we adored the view and the location. The instructions, guidance and set up were excellent making it very straight forward. We felt the weekend deal was particularly good value and thoroughly enjoyed our meal at The Cow.

We would definitely return, especially when it would be a little warmer, to make use of the facilities and location. And have already been recommending it to people.

We did struggle to find a torch (no big deal as we had brought our own) and the relevant bin bags and food caddy (not a big issue as we were able to recycle nearly everything) - so making these more obvious would be helpful for longer/ future stays. The two other small things we would have found helpful would be a tray (with legs) or a fold down shelf so there is somewhere to put a drink in the bed, and a few more coat hooks near the door would have been welcomed.

Overall a brilliant stay and we look forward to returning

Had a wonderful stay in the pod! For winter the pod stayed warm and the bed was amazingly comfortable!
Loved the view and in the mornings I would take a tea and stand outside. Even in the cold weather! There is also a field behind the pods which my dog loved having her mad moments in.
The only thing I regret is not using the fire pit as it was a little to cold. But I plan to come back and use it.

I could not fault a single thing

All in all the the pods are an amazing place to stay! It feels so homely and well thought out and the attractions there make the stay worth while. Especially visiting the restaurant for a lovely burger too. I loved the farm shop and thought that was an excellent addition to the stay. It was nice that they had microwaveable meals for when it was poor weather we didn’t feel like leaving the cabin. The only things I would change about the cabin is that the dimmer switch flickers and resulted in us not using that light however the other light was good enough to not need it. Additionally my only concern was that the blanket that was placed on the bed stunk of smoke which told me it was not washed. The fact it wasn’t washed did not bother me as you could tell it was for use of sitting around the fire. However I’d have preferred it to not be on the bed in that case. Last adjustment I’d make would be check out at 11 rather than 10 as it can be a bit of a rush. However I loved staying there and will probably be looking to visit for a third year in a row next year. Brilliant way to connect with nature while still feeling at home. Wish I had booked an extra night.

Me and my partner stayed in the Pod on our wedding night, it was a short drive away from where we had our wedding at East Afton Farmhouse. When we got there it was clean, well laid out and cozy! It was the perfect place to go after a enjoyable yet hectic day!
We arrived when it was dark so was unaware of the amazing views it holds until the morning, what a delight this was! The Pod over looks freshwater/Yarmouth and on a clear day is breathtaking.
We had asked for a breakfast hamper, the produce was all local and they also offered vegetarian alternatives.

All in all the pod made for an outstanding stay and we would definitely go back!

Thank you to all the Tapnell/East Afton Staff for being so accommodating.

Having booked a very long time in advance it was lovely to arrive and see our beautiful ecopod. The pod had everything we needed however I would say definitely comfortable for two people, space somewhat limited but well thought out and used. There was a little vase of fresh flowers and Isle of Wight milk in the little fridge. It was lovely sitting out in the deck chairs looking at the sky and seeing a few bats. Comfy bed and hot shower. I would recommend booking in advance for an archery session, really good fun. You don't need to be super fit to do it as long as you can stand and use your arms you'll be fine. Thank you to Chloe Tom and the Tapnell Farm Team, especially our archery teacher.

Given the temperature and excessive mosquitos, we did not sleep well. Both were out of your control. However, with regards to the mosquitos I would have appreciated advanced warning, possibly in the phone call made prior to our visit so that we could have purchased repellant etc. one of my sons had over 50 bites!

Lovely little place in a beautiful location. It was so peaceful and quiet. The only downside is that we were bitten a lot by the mosquitoes but that is no fault of the owners and they do provide mosquito plug ins. I suggest taking some repellent to spray on yourself though!

We had a lovely overnight stay in the eco pod with a wonderful meal at The Cow celebrating a birthday - we thoroughly enjoyed it, accommodation was very cosy with everything we could have possibly needed including deck chairs, bbq and our own fire pit, and a gorgeous view looking out over West Wight. The food at the restaurant was outstanding. The whole site is great with lots to do, a well stocked farm shop, and all the staff in all areas were extremely polite, helpful and welcoming.
I would definitely recommend staying at Tapnell and we will definitely be back again!

This was a surprise for my partners birthday so I wanted to organise some special decorations and a hamper for when we arrived. We booked late but got an excellent deal. Very good communication and wonderful location, views and facilities. Clean and well equipped. The barbecue we ordered was superb. Being south Africans we are 'braai masters' and couldn't fault it. Wonderful. The addition of a shower caddy would be great as nowhere to put anything down in the shower. Amazing concept.

Tapnell Farm is absolutely wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in an Eco Pod, with views towards Freshwater bay. The kitchen area was fully stocked and the bathroom was beautiful. The farm itself was just incredible, but it being my first time there I didn’t realise how family friendly it would be, so we were the only adults without kids but still enjoyed ourselves! Can’t wait to stay again.

Staying at Tapnell Farm was one of the most unique and exciting holidays we've ever had. Everything was comfortable, and everyone were welcoming and friendly. I really recommend the activities, especially the go-karting! I enjoyed having a barbecue, and creating a fire.

Was really looking forward to this night away with my partner and doggy and it did not disappoint.
We travelled all the way from Newport (isle of Wight that is not wales) and we loved it from the moment we arrived.
You park your car in the car park and they provide wheelbarrows to get your stuff down to the lodge, which I thought was a cool touch.
The lodge was great, clean and had everything we needed for our night away.
They provide coal for a bbq (which we did and watched the sunset) and logs and firelighters for a fire.
For the money we paid I do feel we got a lot for our money which is always a nice feeling.
The site is gorgeous with amazing views all around.
If you can stay up there off season I can imagine you will experience a much quieter stay just like us.
I would like to stay again with friends and get a bigger lodge or safari tent with a hot tub.

Really enjoyed our stay. The pod was really cozy, clean, well equipped and the extras provided were much appreciated- milk, biscuits and all the bits to make a fire, etc. The staff were really helpful with pre-ordering of some bespoke breakfast bits and leaving them in the pod for us.
Only small thing was that the mattress would have been more comfortable with a topper but that’s a personal thing.
Would highly recommend and only wish we could have stayed longer.

Very comfortable space, with a full equipped kitchen. Silence place where is possible to rest and disconnect from the world. Easy to reach and staff always there to help with a smile in their faces.
Highly recommend and for sure I will stay again.
Close to the city centre so easy access to go to restaurants, pubs and enjoy the beautiful landscapes.
The farm has lots of activities, specially for kids.

I booked an ecopod for a one night stay very last minute. I was very impressed with the customer service - both via email and phone. We were pleased to have not only a firepit and bbq, but all the consumables required to light them etc - very well done.
The walk to the pods is on a mulched path, and there are wheelbarrows available to carry things/get wood supplies.
We arrived after dinner, and as we had notified of our arrival time the heating was on and the pod was lovely and warm - perfect for a cold January evening.
There were comprehensive instructions on heating/fire/bbq/ecopod features, so we didn't need to ask any additional questions.
We also ordered the 2 person breakfast hamper which was exceptional.
We didn't really sit inside, despite it being January, but I can imagine if you wanted to sit inside the sofabed style sofa isn't the most comfortable - but it's difficult to have both a very comfy sofa, and a functional sofabed! This could possibly be improved with the provision of some larger cushions (but that's me being super fussy in what was an absolutely lovely night away).
I will definitely be returning to Tapnell Farm!

Only stayed for the one night for my girlfriend's birthday. Would have loved to spend more time there. Fire pit materials all supplied and the use of the communal pizza oven was great. Lovely all year round getaway. Nice and clean and really well presented. Much appreciation for birthday celebrations too.

Absolutely love Tapnell Farm, we stayed in POD 2 we thought it was bigger on the photographs , unfortunately I am 5ft 1inch and hubby 6ft 4 inch, to big to fit on the bed which as a gap of about 3feet to squeeze by , had to sleep on the pull out bed which didn't feel comfortable. We had the freak sunshine so it felt claustrophobic and heats up during the day so no chance of any sleep. Apart from this accommodation we will be returning because we want to sleep in the Modulogs and Safari tents and the wood cabins and the Geo DOMES cannot wait to book again.
I think we wouldn't stay ever in a Pod again to small and cramped for our selves.

We couldn’t have been happier with our short stay in the eco pod at Tapnell / Toms Eco Lodge. The pod was immaculately clean, had everything we could have possibly needed in the kitchen, and was really a pleasure to stay in. The weather wasn’t on our side but we still managed to light our fire pit, enjoy a BBQ and watch the sunset across the countryside. We are actually local on the island but our stay really felt like a proper break. I would only say the bed was slightly firm for my husband but was perfect for me. But that is such a personal thing we couldn’t fault it for that. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The pods were a wonderful experience and I’d definitely come back. Chloe and the team have a very well oiled machine over at Tapnell farm and it’s been a great experience. There are a couple of very small improvements I’d recommend though, for the breakfast hamper (we had the pastries) it’s great value for money but having it delivered the day of check in rather than the actual day of the breakfast meant our pastries were past their best. We also wanted to make use of the fire pit, unfortunately the wood had been left out in the rain so we had to retire due to the smoke, although having it set up for you in advance is great, it does need to be weather dependant! The last thing to note is that the check out time is very early (9:30) and given check in is quite late (4-5) it seems a tad unfair to expect your guests to be out so quickly. I’d love to see an option for late check out if it’s something you could make work; that way you know you have a bit more time if you need it.
Other than those minor things it’s great value for money; and we had a fabulous time!

Loved Tapnell farm - lots to do to keep the kids happy. Football golf was a hit! The pod is very cute and nicely decorated but just too small for 2 adults and 2 children. Couldn’t use table as if pulled out to seat 4 - no space to get in/out. Only suitable for a couple and maybe one very young child.

What a little slice of heaven Tapnell Farm is. Our pod was perfect for our stay. It’s location on the farm was lovely - the views are amazing and if you are lucky enough to catch a sunset like we were, they are stunning.
The site has everything you need, we booked on with Top Targets and highly recommend the clay shooting.
After not being able to stay anywhere for so long, this trip has been just perfect and the site has really good Covid practices in place so you feel safe.
Thank you - can’t wait to come back in August!

Me and my wife had a very relaxing experience in our first time stay at Tom's Echo Lodge , Echo Pod 2 inside the Pod was lovely and homely made our short stay wonderful , we had an evening meal in the Cow restaurant which was superb , I would highly recommend staying at Tom's Echo Lodge if you want to get away from it all .

We have stayed at Tapnell Farm numerous times, alone, with friends, for special occasions or just to relax. Each time has been amazing. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay special, memorable and ensure you have all you need. The location is perfect with so much to do and the new Farm Shop means you always have everything you need. There is lots to do for children. There are hot tubs but also you can hire hot tubs which is great and the restaurant is really great and good value. I couldn't recommend Tapnell Farm enough whether you are travelling alone, as a couple or family or if you want an overnight treat or a longer break. This is one of favourite places in the world and holds a special place in our heart with memories that have been made over the years. We came back this Thursday and already have our next stay booked.

A fabulous setting for our family getaway. The trip had been postponed a number of times due to COVID so we were thrilled to finally manage to stay. The pods were really cool and contained everything we needed. The kids loved playing at the farm park and the food from The Cow was excellent. It’s also close to The Needles and Freshwater so we had some lovely trips out. I would definitely recommend and I would definitely like to go again... next time I’d like a hot tub!

It was perfect. We booked in early May, we were hoing for good weather but it was quite cold outside. However, when we arrived they had switched on the heating for us, and the cabin was warm and cozy. We had great days hiking around. The Cow restaurant was only open on the weekend, so on our first night (wednesday) we had to struggle a bit to find dinner, in retrospect, given there is a fully furnished kitched and that we were driving we should have brought our own food and cook. We had a burger from the Cow on Friday and it was delicious, so defenitely try them out!

I have stayed many times at Tapnell farm, I love the location and it was great to see all the new plans they have in place for the summer. I was however disappointed by the eco-pod. There were large amounts of cobwebs and dust around the sleeping area, 2 wasps and a spider that needed removing by ourselves and the window was very warped resulting in cold wet air coming into the sleeping area behind our heads. The result being we didn't have a great nights sleep. This was disappointing as we normally enjoy our visits however it was clear that there had been a lack of care taken over the cleaning. The door mat entrance was also soaking wet so after removing shoes we had very wet feet. (I have photos to support and would be happy to send over for clarification).

The Ecopod was a lovely way to try "camping" with a camping-phobic mum and dad and kids, 7 and 4 who were much keener on the whole tent idea. Lovely set up with pretty much everything you need for a short break. Won't claim we slept brilliantly, but that was due to proximity with the kids rather than the pod! The site is lovely, great views and feels very private. My only suggestion would be somewhere on the deck to store wet shoes as we made quite a mess due to the very wet weather we experienced! Tapnell Farm Park was great, some lovely and different play activities for the kids so would definitely recommend a visit. We will be back as we have lots more of the island to explore but think we'll upgrade to bigger accommodation next time!

Sadly we picked the worst weekend for weather imaginable and whilst it is a great little pod for a weekend away, there is very little living space so not much to do! It is also a long way from the car park so with luggage for three, took two (long) trips to get stuff there. The setting is lovely though and the views are fantastic. We were just unlucky with the weather.

We loved our week in our pod. It was relaxing, we had amazing views and reality felt very far away! The one downside was the mosquitos, you couldn’t have any windows open in the evening unless you wanted some friends at night! The marks on the walls/ceiling suggested others had had the same issue! It would be great if there were some nets on the windows so you could relax a little more.

We spent our first anniversary in a pod after getting married in East Afton farmhouse last year. We love the location, the facilities and the range of accommodation and thought the pod was great. It may be a bit small for larger people but they are well equipped and have a great view. The bbq and fire pit are nice additions and we hired a hot tub which was a great place to watch the sun go down from. Can’t wait to go back!

We stayed 4 nights in pod 2 in september. The pod was very clean, compact and very well appointed. The highlight was a bbq on night 3 watching the setting sun with the sound of birds and insects. Very peaceful. A second deck chair for the second guest in the pod would have enabled us both to sit by the fire pit. The gravel drive did make everything you touched very dirty especially the bikes . Good communication with regard to arrival and departure and info on best places to eat and visit. We will definitely be back, loved the isle of wight.

We had a wonderful stay at Tapnell Farm, the kids have said it was their best holiday ever! Great location to explore the IOW, although didn’t really need to leave the farm as so much there. The Cow restaurant was delicious and well thought out for cleanliness, we sat outside and just beautiful views. The older children loved the aqua park as did their dads! I am not a camper but my family are keen so this fit the bill for a perfect half way house!

Pods were sufficient for a 2 night break, anything longer we’d have wanted a larger cabin so we had a bit more space.

Pod had all your essentials and immaculately clean.

All really well thought out and the kids had a great time up at the farm. Just a shame the Aqua park bit wasn’t open just yet!

Everyone we came across working at the Farm were dedicated and friendly, the staff at The Cow were fantastic where we were regulars throughout the stay!

This is our second stay at Tapnell Farm. We chose an ecopod as there were two of us this time rather than a large group. We loved the experience just as much: the place was spotless, the food we'd ordered was in the fridge ready and waiting for us, and the views from the pod were quite stunning. Excellent quality coal made the BBQ a synch, even in high winds. In fact, quality characterises every aspect of Tapnell Farm. It makes for a wonderful experience and lots of happy memories. Thank you!
