Specially designed for Tapnell Farm guests, our unique modulogs are perfectly proportioned for groups of up to six. Each fully insulated modulog has two double bedrooms, a shower room and an open plan kitchen-diner and lounge with a sofa bed. The living space is designed for relaxation and features a log burner, plenty of board games and homely soft furnishings. Each modulog has its a private decking area, outdoor seating, BBQ and plenty of logs and fuel. There's also an outdoor wood-burning tub - just fill with hot water, sit back and enjoy the view!

Just spent an incredible 3 nights at Tapnell Farm’s Modulog, and it was everything we hoped for - romantic, peaceful, and the ultimate escape. The Modulog itself felt like a real retreat, with cosy, comfy beds and an indoor log burner that made evenings so snug. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to whip up meals after days filled with exploring the Isle of Wight.

One of the highlights was definitely the hot tub. Sitting there under a blanket of stars with nothing but the sounds of nature around us? Absolute magic. This Modulog was such a special place to "come home to" each night. If you're looking for a spot that combines rustic charm with modern comfort, Tapnell Farm's Modulog is a must.

This was a lovely place to stay. Very peaceful, clean air and the stars at night were stunning. The modulog was very well equipped and everything was supplied. You don't need to take any bedding, towels or kitchen equipment. Do take a torch as you will need it. The farm itself is very sweet and worth a visit. The shop needs to be better equipped for general food as getting to shops is difficult if you don't drive. Going anywhere is difficult and expensive without a car. The Cow restaurant does great food but it would be good if it was open more often. It would also be good if there were net curtains over the patio doors and all of the windows. We couldn't have them open because the crane flies and midges were awful. It did make it stuffy not having the doors and windows open. We didn't use the hot tub, BBQ or log fire so can't comment on those. We would definitely recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Modulog 1 and loved Tapnell Farm, the services they provide and the Cow Pub (really amazing Burgers). We also also bought a few different Hampers which were very good and plentiful.

There were only a couple of issues, 1 was that we thought the walked way between the Modulogs, should have been put at the back of the properties, as being in the first cabin, meant that we constantly had people and kids walking in the from there we were siting, so there is no privacy, especially if you have other peoples kids running up and down constantly. Another was we thought there should have been bins provided (maybe near the wood store by No 4 Cabin) as it's a long way to take rubbish and recycling and finally, we thought that the Farm Shop could be better stocked is food essentials for people staying longer than a few days.

Otherwise, we loved our stay and would book again.

We loved our overnight stay in the Modulog. All the equipment was supplied and ready for us to use the outdoor campfire, the log burning hot tub and the BBQ which all worked well despite it starting to rain at one point. We ordered the delicious campfire hamper and the breakfast for the morning. The beds were comfortable and we loved the outdoor beanbag.

Really comfortable stay. the hot tub was well used during our stay. The only problem we came across Is we couldn’t find the cutlery I’m sure it was there somewhere but wasn’t obvious luckily we had bought disposable on the visit so wasn’t a problem for us during our stay.

Lovely location and views. Accommodation was mostly comfortable, although very warm at night, however fans were provided. Enjoyed staying in something a little different and would definitely recommend the accommodation.

We stayed last year in the Safari Tents. Whilst the tents were great the mosquitoes were a nightmare. This resulted in a trip to A&E for two of our children.

This year we went for the modulogd and no mosquitoes.

Absolutely amazing weekend.

We were very impressed with our stay in the modulog. We had everything we needed for a comfortable week in the cabin. Our meal at The Cow was great. Hot tub was great once we figured out how to use the fire to heat it up correctly.

No complaints and would definitely return.

Our family of 3 stayed here for a friends 50th Birthday. We travelled from Australia. The Modulog was cosy, comfortable and had everything you could need in terms of kitchen amenities, bedding, firewood and linen. We especially enjoyed the hot tub, so much so we've purchased one back here in Australia !

We had a wonderful time at Tapnell Farm and especially in our modulog. It was very comfortable and more than big enough for a family of four. The little touches, like delicious biscuits and eco cleaning products were very much appreciated. We also really enjoyed the farm park itself, especially the Thursday night family party. Much fun.

What an amazing weekend, the modulog has everything you need. The views across to freshwater bay are amazing and you can lounge in the hot tub as the sun sets taking it all in. The cow restaurant does delicious food and there is a club house with pool table and sofas to hang out in if the weather turns. I would 100% recommended staying at tapnell you won't regret it!

This was the 3rd time i have stayed at Tapnal with my wife and child, each stay has been different place. 1st was the Dome, 2nd was Afton Guest House for my Wedding and now the 3rd in a Modulog. Each time it has been amazing and each time Chloe, Anneke and the others have been such stars. The venue is pure bliss, the peace and quite is just fantastic and the playground for my 17 month old was superb. I will be returning i promise.

This place is postcard perfect! We were blessed with clear skies and morning frost. I would highly recommend watching the stars from the tub, it was beautiful.
The pod was cosy and always warm. Make sure you remember your own toiletries though, I forgot mine. Human error.
Would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed ourselves at Tapnell Farm with our three daughters and their families. The Modulog was great and useful to have a job and oven so we could easily could supper for the five grandchildren - more difficult for them based in Safari tents. The range of things to do appealed to all ages and the staff were efficient and left us to it in a really nice way. We ate at both the Cow and Wrap shed - again great service and tasty food. Thanks to the team!

Our stay was absolutely amazing. The modulog was very clean and the kitted with everything needed. The children loved the hot tub and enjoyed saying good morning/good night to the cows and chickens every day.
Having Tapnell farm on the doorstep (and access throughout our stay) meant the children were never bored, which is great for parents!
Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We loved our mini break to Tapnell Farm. Our modulog had all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay and although the weather wasn’t great we felt lovely and cosy.
We made good use of our hot tub, bbq and fire pit during our stay.
The restaurant staff were really accommodating and we made plenty of visits to and from the farm during our stay. The children loved it!
We are already planning our next visit but this time we would stay longer.

Every step, from booking to our departure, was pleasant and well communicated. Once I had made the booking I had plenty of directions, assistance and suggestions emailed to me within the week of our arrival at the farm. We made good use of the discounted ferry crossing by booking through the farm. They were even particularly quick in responding and reorganising a change to our car and travel time.
Once we arrived on the farm I was impressed with the directions to the Modulog (even in the dark!). The cabin it self was well stocked with a high level of detail such as milk in the fridge, tea, coffee and sugar as well as cleaning items.
I found there was a high level of comfort in the beds, sheets and towels and a good quality shower.
We all particularly enjoyed the log burning hot tub and it’s instructions for use were easy to follow and made the trip extra special. I was so grateful that everything we needed for log burning in the stove, hot tub and the fire pit (logs, matches, quick fire lighters) was all included and ready for us at the cabin and extras available at the farm shop.
The activities on the farm were great. We bought tickets to the farm and enjoyed visiting it throughout the weekend. Fun was had at the Aqua park and dinner at The Cow. We loved the convenience of visiting the farm shop for any essentials and picking up our eggs for breakfast and a chat with the friendly staff.
Our stay at Tom’s Eco Lodges was short but certainly well enjoyed. We look forward to returning next year as there is still so much of the Isle of Wight still to explore.

We loved the Modulog! Very well equipped kitchen, lovely hot tub - no chemicals so much nicer than a traditional one. Our kids had an amazing time at the farm. Great meals in the cow restaurant and lots of nice bits in the farm shop. Amazingly well sound-proofed from the elements - tested during a stormy night!

We love Tapnell - you have so much on site and yet the accommodation gives a sense of space and peacefulness. We also love the ability to have firepots and bbqs but still have warm, comfy, well equipped accommodation! I do think the prices are quite high for the accommodation - not sure quite why the modulogs are more than the safari tents which are much bigger? For this price I would like to see access to the park to be included and a discount on additional activities/food& drink potentially to be included.

Great site for kids without the hoards. Every year it improves and there is more to do on Tapnell Farm. Mudulog are small but comfortable and make you feel like you are completely away from everything.

The accommodation was great! It was clean, although on removing linen on day of departure a stain was found on the duvet. Very warm and snug. Exceptionally well equipped. The kids LOVED the hot tub and it was great that we could empty and refill as required (not been able to do so in other accommodation of this type). Loads to do on the farm and plenty to keep the kids occupied during the day. I recommend pre-booking the pub for meals and the aqua park. Lots to do nearby also. A little disappointed to discover the same accommodation for over double to price for the same time and length of stay next year as we would love to come back, but at those prices we simply cannot!!! Well done Tapnell Farm you’ve left us sad that we’ve left x

Already looking to get next year booked! Thoughtfully kitted out, every detail considered. We stayed with our two year old and he loved it. Though not huge spaces they are well designed and laid out and it was perfect for us. Great location- Colwell Bay nearby was a great spot for beach days and Wight Cycle hire were lovely and helpful to organise too.

Beautiful location and it was a fast and seamless self check-in. Can get up to 50% off the ferry if you book through them. Someone rang us ahead of time to make sure we we comfortable with everything, but if you correspondby email, it does take them up to 2 days to respond. The only issues were the exhaust fans in the toilet room didn't work, the water in the shower kept going hot and cold, and the hot tub literally takes ages to heat up and doesn't retain heat for very long once you're in it, even with the log fire going. Also, the hedges in the front of the modulog need some trimming back, as it blocks the view at points. It is a very quiet location, however, do keep in mind it is popular with young families so if you're looking for a couple's weekend away, make sure you choose the correct type of accommodation!

We had a fabulous time in April and stayed in one of the 4 Modulogs onsite. The location was perfect and the view was amazing. The accommodation was unique and very homely. We were very lucky with good weather and would recommend Tom’s Eco Log accommodation. The staff were very helpful and accommodating and in fact changed our ferry booking for a later time for us. I do think it might be rather cramped if six people stayed in the Modulogs.

We really enjoyed the amenities and found Modulog one had the perfect amount of space for a couples retreat. It was perfect for an afternoon indoors while it rained, and picnicking outdoors when it was sunny. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The honesty shed supplied almost all of our needs, having a card machine in the honesty shed would have been helpful. We also enjoyed the farm and the cow and game room.

We stayed over an October weekend. The weather helped make it a fabulous weekend. We had everything we needed in the cabin.

Everything was set up well for a great relaxing weekend and the honesty shop was really handy and it was nice to have old fashioned honesty back again and pint bottles of milk to make that feel authentic. I felt like I'd gone back in time in a good way.

During these unprecedented times, the check in and check out was very easy. To the point that you can just arrive and go to your room. You gain a text message when you room is ready and just turn up and get on, thumbs up here!

I’ve always wanted to stay in a log cabin and this was our first holiday since having a new born.

You are allocated a parking space and a large wheel barrow to take all your belongings to the accommodation, I really piled up the barrow and was effortless. Nice easy walk down to The Modulog, just be aware the Modulog cabins are the furthest from the car park, but easy access. The access included walking past all other types of accommodation available that was fun to admire.

Upon first impressions when first spotting the Modulog 1 and walking in, my wife and I really got the WOW factor. I had ordered the breakfast and BBQ add-ons which were beautifully set out on the dinning table and all meat etc was neatly stored in the fridge. Really felt like a homely and welcoming place to stay for a week. The breakfast and BBQ add ons were delicious and a must have in my view!

Upon living in the Modulog, there was a few days with really bad weather. The cabin held up and felt cosy inside with the log fire burning away. Although this did enable us to really live in the cabin. This is a dog friendly accommodation and in some areas it shows. Couple of the sofa pillows had dog hair attached where I had to brush off and also a water stain of some sort on the sofa so had to cover this up. The room with the two single beds in did have a slight scent on urine, sounds worse than it was but can tell it was there. Wasn’t sure if this was possibly a child having an accident from past or if a pet had an accident and soaked into the wood. Wasn’t strong enough to cause an issue to our stay.

The toilet door handle was well used and could do with being replace to a plastic handle to clean easily. Also the crack down the centre of the two leaf door was quite large that you can easily look in, could do with a small piece of wooden trim attached to either door to cover the gap.

The view was stunning from the porch and had a couple of stunning sun sets. Only gripe is I would of like the 2 slightly over grown bushes/trees to be topped to hedge height to enable us to view the sunset from decking area, instead we had to walk behind the cabin to high ground and sit up there instead to view.

The hot tube was nice, although only heated by a hot tap not log burner. No jets or bubbles but not an issue in my eyes. Had to empty and refill the tub every time time you used and finished using it. Took a while to fill up but worth it. The plug was a bit of a pain to get out as as the ring was to small for me to get my finger in and then the thread came out. Ended up having to use the screw end on the wine bottle opener to get it out.

Privacy whilst outside in the tub, BBQ, sitting around the camp fire or on deck could of been slightly better. The outside areas are quite close together and a small fence behind the hot tube would of been good.

Everything you need is within the kitchen, couldn’t find a oven dish but I texted Chloe as per book within room and she came down within minutes to hand one over. Kitchen very clean and neat. Where water had dripped onto the floor over time, part of the laminated flooring had lifted where I did catch my foot on before I knew it was there, needs repairing.

The honesty shed was good, had most of the essentials. Did try and go up a couple of times for milk and there wasn’t any but was soon restocked.

The cow restaurant was awesome, really enjoyed the food there and would highly recommend the “dirty fries”. Burgers are cooked to perfection. The waiters were really friendly and the app you use to order was brilliant and easy to use, wish all restaurants had this!

Stunning walks around the site, and plenty of animals to walk up to and admire in the back fields.

Overall, we had an amazing time. Didn’t want to leave in all honestly and really felt relaxed. I will certainly be returning again in the near future. In my eyes, Modulog 2 would be the one to go for due to being furthest away accommodation and having most privacy. Next time I’ll be going for that!

Anyone wanting a decent get away, this is the place to experience. Don’t let my down point reviews to put you off, they are nothing compared with the amount of good points.

The booking of our stay at Tapnell was really easy as was the fact they booked the ferry, directions from Yarmouth were perfect.
Our thanks for being able to use the farm track as we were using a wheelchair to access the Modulog, and we did enjoy our stay.
The Modulog appeared to sleep 5, there were 3 of us, just right, 5 would have been impossible.
The lounge seating was extremely uncomfortable, the dining area fitted very well the layout, the kitchen was good for the nature of the Modulog and its idea of 'glamping'.
The double bed was not really comfortable, being right up against the outer wall, it was difficult to keep warm, and in a way limited space to the occupants.
Hot water was not consistent when showering/shaving.
Wi fi was very hit and miss.
We enquired at The Cow about their menu, and were told they did offer food other than beefburgers, we asked for a paper menu, we were told to go on line, all we could find was beefburgers, something we do not eat.
The general waste bins were not clean when we removed the plastic bags.
A hot tub was used at 23.30-24.00hrs. on the evening of the 26/27th September 20, vibrations came through the floor of our Modulog disturbing our sleep.

Thanks for giving us such a loverly
Base for our short break in the isle of white
We understand that it’s hard for every one during this pandemic
Buy you and your team made us feel safe and more than welcome.

For a Middle age couple and a dog our accommodation was Better than Ideal

And there were some splendid walks starting right outside our front door

The twist is that had we not bid for this generously donated auction action prize at the Macmillan ball last year we would never have
Found this jem of a retreat,

That’s not to say that this a place for the old, Far from it, the pubs great, the farm parks a must see
And for the fearless there the water park
So it’s all good.
Macmillan got a big bundle of cash (Which they so desperately need )
and we got a Fabulous staycation in a loverly part of the Uk.

We know it’s tuff for the travel sector write now , but please please keep doing what your doing so We can return with the rest of the Sharp Troop

Fantastic stay on Tapnell Farm in the Modulog Cabin. Excellent service from the team with plenty of information prior to check-in. Setting is incredible with views across the hills of IOW, farmland etc. Facilities on the farm which include the park farm, the cow restaurant are a really high-standard, COVID-Secure and reasonably priced.

The Modulog was clean, tidy and accommodated for every need. The team at Toms Eco Lodge were extremely helpful if we needed anything and always provided a quick response. The lodge was perfect for us as a couple but would easily work for friends/ families etc.

Hot tub/ Bath was easy to use and perfect in the evenings watching the sunset. It would be a benefit if there was some sort of wind-break/ fence around maybe two-sides of the hot tub however but this inst a necessity and did not take anything away from the experience.

Small but well-appreciated touches include the BBQ, fire pit and supply of logs/matches etc. Milk supplied in the fridge, the honest shed for small purchases and fresh supply of eggs are nice additions to the stay.

Overall a brilliant place with an idyllic setting on the IOW. Great location with excellent access to the coast (Colwell Bay, Totland Bay, Freshwater Bay). Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for somewhere nice to stay on the island. We would definitely return.
