Mill Cottage – Old Mill Cottages

Mill Cottage is a charming ground-floor cottage, ideal for couples or small families looking for a relaxing South Devon getaway. The cottage features a bright open-plan living space with character beams and French doors, creating a comfortable place to unwind after a day exploring the nearby coast and countryside.

The cottage includes a well-equipped kitchen, dining area, and cosy living room with Freeview TV. The main bedroom has a double bed with French doors and an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. A second bedroom with twin beds and a separate shower room provides additional comfort and convenience.

With beaches, countryside walks and many local attractions nearby, Mill Cottage is a perfect base for exploring South Devon.

We hired Mill, Jasmine and Rose altogether with some other family members. This was a perfect set up for us with different aged children with different routines, as well as grandparents. It meant that each family could go through their own motions at bedtime and in the morning but the adults could spend some time together in the evenings. The accommodation was beautiful and there was so much space. My husband kept saying that the photos online don’t do it justice! It really was such a little gem! The location was also ideal for some of the best beaches, steam trains etc only 10 minutes away but also so easy to get to other key spots around Devon. We were also thrilled to find an electric vehicle charger onsite, which we weren’t expecting. This made our stay all the more convenient! Thank you so much for having us, we will all be back!

We had a lovely two week stay at Mill Cottage, very clean, very comfortable and very good location. Our dog loved the little front garden and it was totally escape proof. We would definitely go back again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Mill Cottage. The accommodation and furnishings are of a really high standard and it's bigger than it looks in the photos. Communication was excellent throughout and Tina was very helpful & responded quickly quickly to question. It's in a great TT location to go for exploring South Devon as nd has a lovely local pub just up the lane. My only suggestion for improvement would be to provide an additional armchair. As two couples we found the small sofa a bit uncomfortable for 3 adults to share!

Lovely cottage that was perfectly located for us, visiting family in Torquay. Very quiet location, which was perfect and the cottage was warm, comfortable and cozy. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, well maintained and the cottage was well equipped, including the kitchen, making it easy to cook when we were not eating out. Having a Christmas tree was a lovely touch as well :-)
Although there is only 1 parking space, there was plenty of parking in the Lane outside the property, so that was great.
Only slight pity was that the bed in the main bedroom was only a double bed, when the room itself is very spacious and has room easily for a King Size.
In advance of arriving all information was provided clearly and promptly, which was appreciated. We also had the ability to contact the owner during our stay if we needed to.
Overall it was a wonderful property and we had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again.

Stayed in Mill Cottage over the Xmas Break. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and without hesitation highly recommend Mill Cottages. Nice village location with shops and excellent pub in walking distance. Really could not want or ask for more.

Just back from a two night break at Mill Cottage and had a really lovely stay. The cottages are beautiful, spotlessly clean with everything we needed for a relaxing break away with two special needs children. The kids could let off steam playing in the shared garden area which was perfect especially after a 5 hour drive! Tina was really helpful throughout and the beach and zoo were in easy reach for two days worth of entertainment. Would highly recommend! Thank you Tina!

Mill Cottage is extremely well furnished and equipped. It is very spacious and light and looks even better than in the photos! There is an allocated parking space for one car. Tina was easy to contact and very helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful holiday there and would recommend the property without reservation.

This is the second time I've been here and the accommodation is the very best. The cottage has been up grade with new kitchen and bathrooms, newly decorated with lovely new soft furnishings. The kitchen contains everything you need for your self catering stay. There are also washing/drying facilities and a freezer.
The owners Tina and Steve are very approachable and happy to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
I have already booked to return later in the year.

I have recently stayed here and would definitely recommend it. The accommodation was clean spacious and well presented . There was facilities to eat inside and out. The availability of a washing machine and tumble dryer as well as a freezer was excellent.
A thoughtful welcome pack included fresh bread milk and a few other treats!
