Pearl Cottage was delightful. First, its location in Blockley is excellent. A short stroll to the famous Blockley cafe and to the Great Western Arms, all within a characterful Cotswold village well worth exploring. The cottage was both spacious and characterful, designed and decorated extremely tastefully and attractively with modern kitchen equipment and comfortable, quality furnishings. We were delighted with the place which proved a very good base for exploring the Northern Cotswolds (either on foot or by car). We were able to visit several of the well-known show gardens in the area:...more
The loft is really cosy but still with plenty of room for 2 people & at the end of the village so very quiet. Has everything you need for a self catering stay but just a little mention, could have done with more coathangers. With only 2 each, we just managed but would struggle if we'd been there for a week with more clothes. The microwave & oven are combined so can't be used together, something to bear in mind when planning shopping to bring. We had a bit of trouble working it out & juggling cooking the meal we had planned on the 1st night. Sadly we didnt have good enough weather but there is...more
Our second time here after 6 years and still perfect. Very quiet location a few minutes drive from Stow on the Wold. Has everything you need for a self contained stay. Highly recommended.
The only thing I would suggest is that the living room needed another seat to accommodate the 4 guests The bedrooms need blackout blinds for the summertime
A good location just of the High St .Comfortable accommodation and good value for money.Central to visiting Stratford and the various Cotswold towns
We stayed at Otters Abode Cottage in May for five days. The accommodation was really cosy and nice. The cottage was warm and clean; we appreciated the beautiful garden with the small stream running through it. The place was quiet and immersed in nature. The location is very convenient for travelling around the Cotswolds and not too far from Oxford. Nick and Fiona were really kind and promptly attentive to our requests. Highly recommended for a short stay in the Cotswolds!
We really enjoyed our stay in Chipping Campden. The cottage was great; clean, tidy and well equipped. It was very central but with added bonus of proximity to the church and peregrine falcons. It was very exciting seeing them!
Our stay at Barn cottage was a 5 Star experience from start to finish and we will be looking to return later on this year.
After 2 weeks of searching and finding that every b&b and hotel in the Cotswolds was full for the weekend of The Game fair, I reluctantly decided to book a holiday cottage, and I'm so glad that I did. The brew house was absolutely gorgeous, really cute, In a perfect location, in a perfect village with lots of interesting things to see but without being too touristy. The bedrooms are a generous size although two of them do lack any hanging, space for clothes. I also think an additional shower in the en suite bathroom is required as one shower potentially between six people is not sufficien...more
Staddlestone Mews is a lovely place to stay, Accommodation, facilities and cleanliness good , coupled with excellent location. A firm favourite of mine and my daughters. One small recommendation is that given the hot weather we have been experiencing this summer access to a couple of fans for the bedrooms would have been useful. Other than that everything great as normal . Always enjoy our stay .
Outstanding location. Upstairs window brace was broken. Kitchen hot water faucet handle not connected so didn’t work. Couldn’t figure out how to turn off mirror light in one bathroom or how to turn on in second. I mention these in this review because I couldn’t get through on phone or by email to property manager to tell about these so doing so here. Didn’t stop us from loving every minute here.
Coming from the US, I wasn't sure where to even begin my search for places to stay while in England. The first rule was that it had to be out and about, not in any large towns and certainly not in cities. After wandering around the internet, I stumbled upon Cornerstone Cottage and jumped at the chance to be in a cottage out in the Cotswolds. Booked it for five nights as the central piece of our trip and I sure am glad that I did. The entire property was inviting, charming, and cozy. The outdoor patio is beautiful, secluded, and inviting and the cottage itself is entirely a pleasure to be ...more
Everything was lovely. They even had toys and books for the kids was lovely. Great location to stay.
Beautifully located cottage with good facilities and get service Needs a few minor items to get it to outstanding level
Letterbox cottage is a beautiful cottage in a small hamlet 3 miles from Chipping Campden, It was spotlessly clean , well equipped and everything was in very good condition . Bedding lovely and white and towels too . We had a very nice stay and would recommend .
Property OK, photos a little deceiving as not as welcoming and cosy as depicted. Basic needs met but the second bedrooms beds are totally unsuitable for anyone older than about 10 as very uncomfortable and ridiculously noisy when moving around on them. Hot water for shower pretty much went cold after 2 showers so not great when there's 3 or 4 people. Sofa springs pretty much shot so not comfortable. Property very much needs some attention and money spent as peeling paintwork and generally tired and dated. Would not return.
