This was our 3rd stay here and it was lovely, the place was tastefully decorated and spotless. it has a cosy feel to it and is only a short walk to the centre of chipping campden.
A lovely barn, really well equipped, clean, comfy with spacious kitchen and wood burner in sitting room for chilly evenings. Wonderful quiet village with pub and great walks over surrounding countryside. Great location for getting around The Cotswolds.
Doverdale is a lovely house in the very lovely village of Chipping Camden. We had a great stay, it was close to the Cotswold way and a lot to see and do in the area. The kitchen was well equipped, a bonus for us as we cooked for ourselves. The only downside was that we were unable to use the drive so had to park a number of cars on the cul-de-sac, there was sufficient space but we were worried about upsetting the neighbours.
Excellent accommodation. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The village is beautiful and locals are very friendly.
Compact cosy cottage with comfy beds and good size, well equipped kitchen. Well come basket provided. The shower in the ensuite bedroom is on the small side for a larger person and the bed is directly under a velux window with no blind, so lots of light in the early morning. The only down side is that the cottage is on a corner opposite the church with bells ringing every hour during the night and it is at the junction of two busy roads with lots of road noise from early morning. The garden overlooks the road, so some road traffic when sitting outside. However the plus side is that it is only ...more
We stayed at The Stables with our daughter, son in law and their 4 month old twins. The accommodation is spacious and there was plenty of room for us all to spread out. The beds in all rooms were very comfy with lovely linen. The kitchen is very well equipped and there was fresh milk and tea and coffee left for us. The village pub, The Baker’s Arms, is a 10 minute walk from the cottage and well worth a visit, we ate there twice during our stay. Would recommend if you want to stay in the Broad Campden area.
What a place. Great space, private parking, lovely living space and bedroom and facilities. Very close to the amenities but at the same time away enough to be very quiet. Looking forward to come back again in the future!
Lovely cottage, exceptionally clean and warm. After a journey a little welcome hamper would be nice, maybe some biscuits and bread. What a beautiful village to stay.
Enjoyed our short break in the Cotswolds very pretty comfortable cottage ideal for 4 people. Old and characterful would have been good to know a bit more about the history of the cottage/ local village. Walking distance to hidcote gardens, 10 mins drive to chipping Camden and can recommend Howard arms at Ilmington for a good Sunday lunch.
We choose this place to have daytrips to the Cotswolds and it was the perfect setting, cute house and back yard
Old Sheepcote was great. We stayed for 2 nights with friends and although the decor is not the most modern it absolutely fit our criteria. We needed somewhere to chill, a big dining space, good garden and outdoor space and loads of parking which it definitely provided. Good value for money compared to lots of others we looked at!
Ideal, near village, location to save on taking the car in:close to supermarket and restaurants, cafes etc: clean and comfy with good shower and beds. We stayed for 4 nights and would have been quite happy to stay longer.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this quaint and charming cottage. While it may not have been the absolute pinnacle of my cottage experiences, it was nonetheless a delightful place to spend some time. The cottage itself exuded a warm and inviting atmosphere, with its rustic charm and cozy interiors. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable space for relaxation. The kitchen was adequately equipped. The location was another highlight, offering a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The surrounding nature provided a serene backdrop, ...more
The Perfect cottage for us. It was a freezing few days but the heating was so cosy we didn’t even get to light the fire. The tea, coffee and milk were a lovely touch and we cooked a few meals and everything was supplied. The beds were comfortable and bedding lovely. Close to Broadway and if you like the peace and quiet of the countryside it’s a perfect location. We would highly recommend a stay.
This was our second visit this year which speaks for itself. Everything sparkling clean. Beds comfortable and beautiful bed linen, Everything well thought out. We look forward to another visit in the not too distant future.
