Excellent cottage in lovely location. Everything provided for a very comfortable stay. Thank you. Just a little suggestion - next time a plug socket needs changing consider replacing it with one that also has a USB charging socket.
We came from Boston and only had two short days to see the Cotswolds and we could not have loved the Box Cottage more! The hosts were very responsive and quick to answer any questions. The cottage itself was clean and charming, with a magical little Secret Garden in the back where we loved having breakfast. The place is set in an idyllic and quiet neighborhood and so close to so many charming towns nearby. Our only disappointment is that we did not have longer to stay! Our time made me want to live in the Cotswolds! Could not more highly recommend and hope we get to come back one day!
Spent Monday to Friday mid-May. It’s a charming bolt hole and perfect location to visit the best of the Cotswolds. In super condition with everything one would need. Bedding is top quality. A little smaller than the pics appear but perfect for a couple or young family. Chipping Campden is beautiful if a little sleepy in the evening. A great experience.
This was our 4th visit and we are booked to return again in October, so this probably shows how much we love this place! Plenty to do, NT places, gardens like Bourton on the Hill, Seizencote, Hidcote and Stratford for the theatre.
Had everything in the kitchen but it is a tiny fridge so was difficult planning meals for 4 people and getting some drinks chilled. Bedrooms were comfortable, I think fans would help if you are there in the warmer months. Be prepared for very steep stairs.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Saddlestone Mews, cottage in a quiet location with great parking available. Beautifully furnished, sofa and bed very comfortable and everything you required was available at the property. Plenty of amenities within Broadway village from shops, cafes, restaurants etc. Thank you for the milk, much appreciated.
Church Cottage is a beautiful cosy cottage on the edge of a bustling town, ideal for walking in the countryside with plenty of local, walkable places to eat. We thoroughly enjoyed our short 3-night stay. The cottage had every amenity to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay.
Great little cottage with mulitiple bathrooms and nicely modernised. The only issue we had was with the TV as the Skybox was not working during Euro 2024! But thanks to the prompt and helpful response of the agent, we found a work-around. There's also a well-stocked village shop and the Great Western Arms pub had excellent food, drinks, and service. Would definitely come back and stay longer.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was just as we had hoped for. Located at one end of a very pretty and quiet village. 15 mins walk across the picturesque countryside to Chipping Campden.
Regretfully this was not a cottage stay up to our expected standard, there was a musty smell on arrival, although first impression was it was clean the detail was missing. Inside cupboards need a clean, hob extractor was greasy and only one of two lights worked, window frames needed a fresh lick of paint and in places greater refurbishment as difficult to close, when tidying sofa found bits of biscuits down the back, garden was peaceful but again needs some maintenance.
Bedroom sizes are reasonable, 5 minute walk to village centre, cleanliness was good, comfortable bright and fully equipped.
Apart from a friendly slug in the bath and the middle of the grill not working we have no detrimental comments. It was our third year at the Old Sheepcote and hope to be back again next year.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this quaint and charming cottage. While it may not have been the absolute pinnacle of my cottage experiences, it was nonetheless a delightful place to spend some time. Located in the quaint hamlet of Hidcote Boyce, Letterbox Cottage, a Grade II listed property, promised a cozy retreat. The beds were very comfortable, and the hot water supply excellent. However, the cottage fell short of our expectations for a typical Cotswold charm. The decor felt outdated, with curtains that seemed to belong to another era and did nothing to enhance the stunning windows. The window seats have such great potential. Shire Cottage was all we expected, and we enjoyed our stay in the rural setting, just a couple of miles outside Broadway. The accommodation was comfortable, and well equipped, although space in the bedrooms was tight. The one outstanding negative was the creaky floors upstairs, the noise from them enough to waken someone who had retired early. The outside space was also restricted and the outlook was not inspiring.
We had a lovely stay at the cottage. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is equipped with the essentials. The location is excellent for visiting the area and also very quiet. We were a party of 4 including two small children.
