We had a wonderful holiday in our beloved Dartmouth in this lovely apartment which had everything we needed. Most welcome was the milk and biscuits provided for our arrival, something which seems to have disappeared in other properties. Our only complaints are that it was the most expensive property in the block for a relatively small place and compared to others we've stayed. The arrival time of 4pm is also late especially for an Autumn break.

A nicely situated property close to the centre of town. Well furnished and in very good condition, very clean throughout with all regular equipment available. Parking at property was a bonus as street parking was filled early in the day.

We have used Dart Valley Cottages now for a number of years and always been happy with their service and properties. 8 Mayflower Court proved to be another triumph. A lovely immaculately clean spacious property offering everything you would need for a comfortable home from home feeling, and not forgetting that amazing view to look out on every day of our stay.

We have returned to 8 Mayflower Court this holiday home is very good with fabulous views of the river Dart. The flat is well located and in walking distance to the town. The home has good quality furniture and the beds are fantastic along with a well equipped kitchen and the shower is also great, we have stayed in many places where all these things have been an issue but this flat does not disappoint and you will enjoy your stay.

We've had a lovely stay at 8 Mayflower Court booked with Dart Valley Cottages. I had queries beforehand about the size of the parking space and the staff were quick to respond with helpful guidance.
The standard of the accommodation is excellent and is very well appointed. it was very well prepared before our arrival. The provision of equipment and household consumables in the apartment was extremely useful.
We spent many happy hours sitting at the table and delighting in the constantly changing river views and the regular appearance of the steam engine and its carriages.
This was our first trip to Dartmouth, but will not be our last and we plan to stay at this accommodation again in the future.

Really comfortable apartment for a family and perfect location. Only issue we had was that the company would not provide us with a code to access the front door despite repeated requests (we had a spare key which we assumed was the front door but couldn’t get in the building) We therefore had to walk around the block which was not well lit, to go in the back door. To not have access to both exit/entrances was not what we expected or safe.

Just returned from our holiday to Dartmouth, 8 Mayflower Court is the perfect apartment to stay in, spotlessly clean & immaculate with everything you need for a perfect holiday, we couldn't fault it, the decor was lovely & with the added bonus of parking on site it was fab. The icing on the cake are the spectacular views that you get from both the living room & main bedroom, to wake up & see that stunning view every morning was just the best. We will definitely return again & would highly recommend it xx

Location of this flat is perfect for centre of Dartmouth and the view across the estuary to Kingswear is amazing. Accommodation is very well furnished with no expense spared and everything maintained in good condition. Double bed was so comfortable we came home and purchased the very same mattress! Lots of helpful little notes around to help with 'need to knows'. Fortunately the owners provide a parking permit for both the flat car park and Mayors Avenue - it is, as stated by others, very tight to say the least below the flat. Mayors Avenue car park can be busy all day so it's a little stressful wondering if there will be a space available when returning from a day out. Don't think this would stop us from coming back as we don't tend to holiday during peak season/school holidays and the flat, aside from the parking, is lovely.

Everything we wanted. Beautiful views, excellent facilities and clean, comfortable rooms. We really enjoyed our week in Dartmouth.

One downside was the first impression we had of 8, Mayflower Court. Having to enter from the back, rather basic car park and steps, was not the best start. What a pity we were unable to enter via the front entrance at all. As far as we could work out, entrance from the front was only possible when one of us was already in the flat but that wasn't much help when we went out together every day on trips. A minor problem but worth mentioning.

Thank you for your attention to detail. You thought of everything and the flat has been very tastefully renovated.

From the moment we walked through the door we realised we were in for a treat.
The apartment is beautifully furnished with every thought being given to a comfortable stay - comfy beds with good quality bedding, excellent storage and even a shoe horn. The kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of instructions.
The views from the front windows are amazing. It was a delight to sit in bed with a cup of tea and watch the sun rise over Kingswear.
We felt very privileged to be able to stay in such a lovely apartment - so near to gardens, buses and shops. Thank you.

Prefer the previous less bulky table & chairs where they were before, near the kitchen as felt we were sitting in a corridor on the sofa, too close to the tv, & missed the coffee table in front of sofa . It could be difficult with 4 people staying and accidents could happen between kitchen and table. The view is no better, in fact we closed the curtains whilst we were sitting at the table for shade - yes it was sunny sometimes last week. Hope our comments are constructive & welcome with no offence caused - just our preference

This was our forth stay in Mayflower Court and third in No 8. The first things that attract you are the location of the property and the stunning views overlooking the river. There is always something interesting happening on the water and the steam railway beyond.
The apartment is well appointed, comfortable and clean with all amenities.
Having on-site parking is very important in Dartmouth which can become very busy. The bonus for us is the additional business car park pass which can be used for the adjacent Mayor's Avenue car park should there be several larger cars on site which can make it difficult to park in the on-site car park. This was not an issue on this visit but has been in the past.
This all contributed to a very enjoyable and relaxing holiday.

This is our tenth holiday at this wonderful apartment. The view from the apartment takes your breath away, in the evening with the lights over the water it is magical. It is immaculately clean, very well equipped kitchen, everything you could need is there. Walking distance of all the shops, boat trips and restaurants - it is all on your doorstep. Highly recommended and we will be back for our eleventh holiday next year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mayflower Court - a first family holiday with our 10 month old baby son. The location was excellent with a stunning view. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very well equipped for a week’s self catering.
One small suggestion for improvement would be a thinner duvet on the double bed - it was too warm!

The flat has some lovely views, making it a hard decision whether to go out or to spend the holiday looking at the constantly changing river views. It is very well appointed, fully equipped with everything, and more, that the most fastidious cook would require. It is extremely quiet with no noise intrusion from surrounding properties and is light and airy. Of course, a lift would be the icing on the cake but one learns to live with the absence of one..

No.8 is a very well appointed, comfortably furnished apartment with amazing views over the River Dart & beyond to the steam train arriving and departing on a regular basis. Note: this is a second floor apartment with no lift. A parking space is provided, together with a pass to other South Hams car parks..

We loved our stay and are happy to recommend to others.

Footnote - We found getting out of the shower a bit scary, and wonder if the owners could provide a steadying handle between the shower and bathroom doors? Suggest visitors bring a shower mat.

A perfect holiday apartment over looking the Dart. Spotlessly clean and Covid safe. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to dine in, if that is your preference. The position of 8 Mayflower Court is impossible to find fault with.It has an everchanging view of the comings and going on the Dart and . in the unlikely even that this should pale, there is the nostalgic sight and sound of the Steam railway in the background.
But... oh those stairs. I realise that the Courts was built before lifts were the norm, but, as someone of advanced year,s I will have to consider carefully before making a repeat booking

A superb apartment in a superb location and we will definately return.
Nice touch was tea, biscuits and milk on arrival - very welcome.

We have stayed at no 8 Mayflower Court a number of times now and it has always been an excellent holiday.
Every comfort has been thought of by the owner and we would recommend the property.
The only downside is the parking situation. Although a parking space is provided, they are not numbered
for each flat and in this era of large four by fours, we several times found ourselves boxed in.

Having stayed at 8 Mayflower Court nine times tells you how good it is. It has the most wonderful views over the river Dart, the apartment is always very clean and tidy. The kitchen is the best equipped we have ever encountered, so I am able to cook a full meal just as I would at home. You don't even need to use the car - just park in the free parking area behind the apartments and enjoy walks by the river and boat trips to the castle and Dittisham. The steam train will take you to Paignton and of course there are all the lovely shops close to the apartment in Dartmouth itself. We can't wait to come back next year for our tenth stay at No.8 - we will never tire of the view and at night it looks quite magical!

A lovely and convenient position to stay and with on-site parking which is rare here. Good views over the River Dart. Very close to town and with an M+S food store just round the corner. Didn't use car for the week but went on boats, trains and buses.

Everything in place for a Covid safe holiday. The flat was spotless.
Ideal location, near to shops in the centre of Dartmouth. Numerous riverside walks of various lengths. Excellent River Dart view with something to watch from the lounge window at any time of day. Everything you would want for a relaxing break.
Communal front door not in use to comply with current regulations but there was no problem using the stairs to the back door.
Private parking was a bonus.

Everything was well managed and excellent. Only difficulty (for some) was the 24 steps up & down to the apartment, and the car parking situation, which though not ideal, especially for larger vehicles, was manageable.
Other thoughts:
Bathroom basin tap already reported as being very stiff;
Toaster set off the kitchen fire alarm on two occasions, after which we moved it close to the opened kitchen window, and watched closely to ensure the toast was only lightly done!
We enjoyed our stay very much - thank you.

The apartment was spotlessly clean with everything we needed. The view is superb and the location means you don't have to get the car out everyday.

Having stayed at several apartments in Mayflower Court we returned to number 8 as our favourite. So soon after the Coronavirus lockdown, we were a little concerned about being away from home. We need not have worried. Everything was perfectly organised, clean and welcoming in every way, despite the necessary restrictions. Number 8 provides the most relaxing and comfortable environment with superb views.

my wife treated me for a week in dartmouth for my 70th . we were in a great location with parking and shops near by no driving required unless you were interested in surrounding areas . the apartment has great views and very comfortable even on a rainy day there was lots going on in the estuary . the harbour front and local shops are all on the flat and level mainly. which made looking around easy on the legs. it can get quite steep for the more adventurist' in all a lovely apartment nice little town great views with no driving needed.
